In Pages: How do you write a raised th, rd, st as in for 1st. Also how do you make "1/2" all into one character?

You can superscript the th, rd, st:
Menu > Format > Font > Baseline > Superscript
There are Unicode characters for Fractions you find them in:
Menu > Edit > Special Characters
and can use auto-replace to substitute them for you:
Menu > Pages > Preferences > Auto-Correction
Some are already there, you just need to check the boxes.

How to delete the 1st page of aging report

Dear All,
When we print Aging report from SAP (statement one page per customer), it print the parameters page to the 1st page. As our customer want to send the statement by email from SAP, they don't want to send the 1st page to the customer. Is there a way when we print the statement, we don't print the 1st page? They don't want to export the statement to a PDF file and send it from outlook. They want to send the statement directly. That means we cannot have the 1st page in the layout. Thanks in advance.

Gordon, Thanks for the reply. Their issue is, they don't want to print it to a printer. They want to SEND it by outlook integration. So the whole report will be in one attachment and they don't want to see page 1st.

Hi,
Yes the field page n of m is used normally for printing page numbers. But it won't display the current page of total pages by itself. You have to set the run time property to n (current page ) and m (Total number of pages). Carefully select the # (current page ) and ## (Total number of pages). Hope this works for you.
My requirement is to have the user control on current page. For Example:
Example for a Invoice with 5 PO items (stands on 2 pages) :
1st page is the letter : no page number
2nd page is the 1st page of the 1st copy of the invoice : we should read u201C1 / 2u201D
3rd page is the 2nd page of the 1st copy of the invoice : we should read u201C2 / 2u201D
4th page is the 1st page of the 2nd copy of the invoice : we should read u201C1 / 2u201D
5th page is the 2nd page of the 2nd copy of the invoice : we should read u201C2 / 2u201D
Presently i cam getting the current page number for page 4th as 3 / 2 and for 5th page 4 / 2. I could able to control the total number of pages from print program. But when i am printing the second copy (4th and 5th pages), I couldn't able to control the current page number. I need to initialize the Current page count (4th page ) as 1.
I have used the follwing java scripting:
this.rawValue = wv_pages - xfa.layout.page(this)
where wv_pages is total no of pages calculated from print program.
Please help me in this regard with some formcal or java scripting conditions.

Page break problem in Sales Order Report

Hi,
I have made a RTF template for Sales Order Report. The template is designed to contain max 10 lines.
Now if number of lines are less than 10(1 page) or more than 10(2 pages) then PDF output is coming fine.
But if there are exactly 10 lines then instead of printing only 1 page it prints 2 pages, 1st page with 10 lines of data and 2nd page with only header & footer.
Can anybody help?

How do you define when they page break happens?
Try to use:
<?split-by-page-break:?>

Thanks for your early update...but my requirement here is
I have two pages (FIRST , NEXT ) First is having Header, Main and Footer
NEXT is having Main and Footer ..I am printing PO here..let us think that my PO is having 20lines items , let us assume that it takes five pages...
Now how application is printing is ..first set of data is printing in FIRST page and remainiang data distributed to 4 pages printing in NEXT page ..but what my requirement is , I need fifth page print on FIRST page, instead of NEXT page... Ultimately I need last set of data always print in FIRST ie out of 5 pages 1st print on FIRST 2nd 3rd 4th print on NEXT and 5th print again on FIRST .

Rearrange pages when printing adobe form with multiple master pages

Hello!
Good day to you all.
I have an issue in regards with printing my adobe form with multiple Master pages. I have 4 master pages:
1st master page: a
2nd master page: b
3rd master page: c
4th master page: d
all with different headers and footers all having the same contents (items). I don't have issue with one page content (it just prints 4 pages with different headers and footers). The issue comes out once the items exceed 1 page.
What happens is that the preview/print shows (example: 3-page item)
a1-a2-a3-b1-b2-b3-c1-c2-c3-d1-d2-d3.
What i need is to print these such that all 1st pages of the 4 master page to be printed first, then all the 2nd pages, then all 3rd pages. Please see below:
a1-b1-c1-d1-a2-b2-c2-d2-a3-b3-c3-d3
This is because we will be using carbonless copy paper during printing and it's possible that it would be printed on batch jobs. Please suggest ways to do this.

Is that requirement of multiple pages as groups only at the time of print or at print preview also...?
Can you have a Print button on this screen or you should be using the Abobe toolbar's Print button..?
Well if this on a click of a button in the form and the requirement is only at the time of print and not on print prieview I can have a JS script which does this...
Let me know if this suffice, I can try with a local file and send you the script.

Implementing multiple page size requirement - extra blank page at the end

My XMLP report requirement is as follows.
- The report is printing a bunch of lines.
- Based on data and layout requirement, lines are grouped into page where they belong (due to complex logic for determining which page a line should go to...this is done in PL/SQL package that is called in the beginning of the RDF trigger)
- The first page needs to be printed on Legal size paper
- Subsequent pages (IF NEEDED) need to be printed on Letter size paper
So some report will have a 1-page output (legal size), and some will have multiple pages (1st page should be legal size, subsequent on letter size).
Here is a sample XML data:

For this, I created 2-pages RTF template and using the Word Page Setup feature:
1. First page setup is legal size (go to Page Setup, Paper tab, choose Letter and choose Apply to "Whole Document").
The first page has the following XMLP tag:

It almost worked, except there is a blank page printed at the end. How do I remove the blank page? I have tried to use <?split-by-page-break:?> instead of the Ctrl-Break, but it did not seem to work (there is no page break happening at all).
I think the extra page is due to the multiple page nature of the RTF template. Is there a way to control the page size through XMLP tag (or XSL-FO). With that, I can try having a single page template and put the page size control within the XMLP / XSL-FO tag and hope that the extra blank page at the end will go away. Can someone please help?

PDF file size in relation to number of pages of the exact same document

PDF file size of a document for one page is 28kb. PDF file size of a the same document for two pages (1st page and 2nd page are exact same document), also 28kb. Shouldn't it be 56kb??

First of all, you can't use Adobe Reader to add, delete or duplicate pages in a PDF file (unless you use a template object), so you're either using Adobe Acrobat, or some other application entirely.
The size of PDF files is not linear, ie if you have 1-page file and it's 1 MB, then duplicating it will results in a 2-page file of 2 MB, or a 10-page file of 10 MB. Many items in a PDF document only need to be saved once (such as font information, image information in some cases, etc.), so the change in size when adding additional pages is sometimes very small. At other times it can be very big, though. You can have a 100-page file that is 1 MB and then add a single page to it, with a new font perhaps, and the size will jump to 5 MB, just because that font is very large...

Dynamic Table row breaks only on the first page (not on second)

Hello,
I biuld a dynamic table with Livecycle.
If the text in the last field is to long, the table grows automatically.
If the end of the first page is reached, the row breaks over from the first to the second page(= 1st break)
This works correctly.
But if the text is longer, and the field have to break from the second to the third page, the field does not break!!
Please see the attached file.
The settings should be correct, because the break ( from 1st to the 2nd page) works.
But why, is the "dynamic behaviour " limited to only ONE page ?

In dieser zweiten Tabelle habe ich die gleichen Einstellungen wie in deiner Tabelle. Meine Tabelle funktioniert aber nicht.

I saved the origin file as a dynamic form. The fields were growing automatically (when the text is long). The problem was the overflow.

Commit/Rollback on Tab pages

I have three tab pages
1st tab page called master_detal_page. It is base block bound to tables.
2nd tab page called Keyword_page. It is not bound to the table.
3rd tab page called Exit_page. It will popup dialog box ask for save the changes. commit,rollback,exit_form on trigger when-page-change.
I encountered problems that I was unabled ROLLBACK or COMMIT the change I made on 1st or 2nd pages. When I refresh tab pages always display back to orginal records.
Please help me with any technical to solve it. Thanks

what is the error you got? go to menu/display error to see if any.
Then it likely you got saving issue with your master-detail block.
can you save with only master block data? but cannot save if both blocks have new data?
if yes, then you may add when-validate-record trigger to master and detail blocks, with code forms_ddl('post');
then see it makes difference.

Please follow the below steps.
1. in your 2nd page, After your first node (any window, text etc...). Create-> Flow Logic -> Program lines.
In that program lines, Write code as below (First create a variable in Global seettings-> w_flag type flag).
if i_tab[] is initial.
w_flag = 'X'.
endif.
2. On same node create->Flow logic-> command. In Command node, First, Check the box for "GOto New Page". Give your next page that is your 3rd page. And in Condition tab put following:
Field name -> w_flag ,,,, Rlation operator -> = ,,,, Com value 'X'.
It will directly take you to your 3rd page if i_tab is initial. Do the same for 3rd page..
Must be solving your problem

Transfering Table data from one page to another page in OAF

Could you please help me with the following requirement. I am trying to transfer the first page selected records to second page, but running into issue.
I have 2 custom OAF pages:
1st Page is Invoice Search page and upon searching for an invoice, user can select 'multi records' (its table region with multi-select) and click on upload button.
The button internally calls setForwardUrl method and calls 2nd page, where second page contains Advacned Table region to show the selected records from 1st page.
Since user can select more than 1 record in Search region on first page, I would like to hold all rows in an array of Hashmap with Integer index and transfer it to 2nd page. Following is the hashmap syntax I am using:
java.util.HashMap<Integer,InvoiceRow> map=new <Integer,InvoiceRow>(); // Here InvoiceRow is a custom CLASS structure with InvoiceNumber and Customer Number as variables inside.
But if I pass the above HashMap to setForwardURL method, the JDeveloper throwing an exception saying that "setForwardURL cannot invoke" message.
Could you please help me how can I transfer the first page multiselected records to second page?
