Pages 5.0: How can I get page no.s to display correctly (they are all messed up)?
I have a number of documents that are quite long. In Pages I have always put the page no. in the footer. In Pages 5.0 thsi comes out looking like a number of letter superimposed on each other. I have tried deleteing and redoing in the old doc to no avail.
I have tried starting a new document - this works just fine! I do not fancy going back and copying all of my work into new docs.
Any suggestions?
OK solved it - it seems to be the font! Some work, some do not

How can I get the keyboard commands to do what they are spozed to do?
Some keyboard commands work OK. But some do unexpected things. For example, when I press the F11 key in InDesign, the page parts like a curtain opening leaving the empty desktop; the same key toggles the page back again. What the F11 key should do is open the Paragraph Style palette. Strangely, the "single-digit" commands -- F5, F6, etc. work OK. But those with 2 digits -- F11, F12 -- do not. (This is a G5 iMac with the original keyboard.) How can I fix this?
iMac G5 Mac OS X (10.4)That's Apple's Exposé at work. To change the keys for that, go into System Preferences, then Dashbord & Exposé (top row, second in). You can change the keys, disable it, or assign corners of the screen to do it.
Conversely, you could go into InDesign -> Edit -> Keyboard Shortcuts and change the Paragraph style pallete (gotta dig for that) command to Command f-keys.
I'd actually do the second one, as easy access to Exposé just rules - once you get used to it, it will be second nature. It's especially helpful when you have a pile of Photoshop and InDesign windows open, and need to find one particular one, or need to see something on the desktop. -

How do I get the following to display the ($) sign in front of the value and two decimal places past the decimal point?
Note that I have set the Text Field Properties>Format: Select format category: Number
Separator Style: 2
Currency Symbol: Dollar($)

Any apps you've had installed on your iPad can be downloaded again.
Go to App Store on your iPad and select 'Updates' and then tap on Purchased. You can then view all purchases made on the iPad or purchases made on other devices by selecting the 'Not on this iPad' tab.

Whenever I send a email from iPad mail app with an attachment from pages or numbers, the receiver is getting only attachment in the email. They are getting the email content. How to troubleshoot this issue.
Someone is probably sending spam with your address forged on the To: line. Could be one of your old contacts with a Windows machine has a virus that's doing it. It's also possible your e-mail account has been hacked, though I'd think such a hacker would be a bit more purposeful.

How can I get my ES2 loops to play correctly? I keep getting the message that the audio is not found when I drag the loops from my audio browser even though they play fine in the preview.
It's exactly as I stated. Whenever I try to drag these kinds of loops (ESX24 / software instrument loops? the ones marked in green with the white music note next to them) from the loop browser into the timeline a message comes up saying Audio Not Found for that loop. And a new track is created automatically when loops are dragged into the timeline, so I'm not creating some other random / synth instrument track so I'm not sure what the deal is... But perhaps I'll try creating a software instrument track first and then drag the loop into that track and see what happens - maybe there's something with the default settings that automatically creates audio tracks whenever loops are imported?

First thing I think would be to do a search for the folder in case it's somehow got moved.
Failing that, you can retrieve the folder from your original installer disc using Pacifist.
Insert the disc (don't boot from it) and open the installer package with Pacifist. Navigate to the Desktop Pictures folder (might be a bit more fiddly to find in the package structure). When you find it, select the folder, right-click (or ctrl-click) and select 'install in default location' from the context menu.
Exit Pacifist and eject the disc.

How can I get my instructional text to display when I open the pdf?
I have some fields which I have set up which have help/instructions for completing the information required. This is a questionnaire. When I save it as a pdf, the instsructional text does not display. I would really appreciate if someone can tell me how to fix this.

I updated my 3GS to os5 and set up icloud and it backed it up, although, the backup says incomplete. I turned off the contacts under icloud and they are now all gone off the iphone. How do I get them back? I feel like they are in icloud, because the contacts went to another iphone i have.
I did turn the contacts back on and it didnt work. I am hoping the wi-fi connection I am on at school is not compatible, and it will work when I get home. Thanks!
