Pages 5.2.2 update problem

i have a macbook air mid 2013
os x yosemite 10.10
I have a problem with the application "pages" and "numbers". on the app store there is an update for each one, but the download does not start. Even if I delete the app and redownload again, the download gets stuck. i can't use these apps.
what do i do?

There are problems with all the iWork apps in Yosemite, it is in beta so don't expect it to work.
Just report the problems to Apple, that is what the beta is for.

I have been using dolphin browser since long and never before it showed that flash player needs to be updated. Even in safari browser it showed flash player need to be updated. Also, when i try opening anything in google app it says network unavailble even when my internet is working fine. I cannot sing in into my Facebook app. Seriously, what is going on here? why suddenly i am facing these problems?

Row fetching, session state, multi-page processing of 1 row - problems

I'm building an application that's updating a couple of tables via an updateable view and an instead-of trigger. That portion of it works OK, EXCEPT for the problems that I'm having with the APEX end.
I've got 3 pages; the first page reads the row in via the automated row fetch and has, say columns 1-20.
Page 2 has, say, columns 20-40 and page 3 has the remainder.
I have the row fetch set up conditionally so that it only executes the first time that page 1 is displayed. All the columns are set as Database Columns.
It seems that if I fill in fields on page 1, move to page 2, and back to page 1, the contents of the fields on page 1 are destroyed unless I set their 'Source used' to 'Only when the current value in session state is null'.
Furthermore, upon update (which is on page 3, via an automated row update), the only columns that get updated are those that exist on page 3. The column values from the other pages no longer exist.
Does navigation to another page not retain the session-state of database-column items?
Am I better off just writing my own processes to perform the updates?
Any other suggestions?

It seems that the first sentence is not consistent
with the second one. The only reason the values are
destroyed, as you call it, is that the ARF is running
again. What condition are you using on your ARF?
In any case, the right way to deal with it is to
change the source used to "Only …", as I understand
you already did.

I set an item after the first ARF. I then have the ARF set to execute conditionally based on the presence of that item. (I also display a success message on the ARF, so I know that the ARF is only occurring once). I move to subsequent pages by submitting the current pages.

Navigating to another page does retain the session state values.
It's depends on what you mean by navigating.
Submitting the page set/update session state.
Redirect without submitting the page will not
set/update the session state.

Automatic DML is working only with the current page
items. You can't use it to insert/update other page
items, even if they are in session state. However, in
your case, it's not the Automatic DML performing the
actual updates, but your triggers. Are your triggers
relying on session state values?
I think this statement 'Automatic DML is working only with the current page
items.' answers my question. My trigger is working on session state values. It's an 'instead-of' trigger, so I was letting the automatic DML perform the 'update' on the view, while allowing the trigger to do the actual update of several tables that the view joins by referring to their :NEW. values in the trigger. Since the DML occurs on my last page, those were the only session state values that my trigger ultimately saw.

I believe the correct way is to submit the page and
then branch to the next one. Submitting the page will
save all your items in session state, and allow these
items to be available for page 3 DML.

Arie.I'm doing that already - all the values do appear to be in session sate, except only the items that are on the last page actually make it to the automatic DML update, which seems to agree with your previous statement.
I suppose I could write my own process to perform the update, as the values are available in session state.

Problem 10.6.8 update, Problem 10.6.8 update

Like most people I know I have gotten used to just doing the suggested Software Updates from Apple.
Never again!!! Time Machine for me from now on...
I have had a trouble free existence on my 3.06 GHz Intel Core i3 upto 10.6.7
Now I am in the strange position of my Mac working fine from reboot but whenever I go near the file system either through Finder or even Save As in Pages etc the following happens...
1. the left button of the mouse stops working except the Apple menu!
2. any editable field e.g. browser window address bar, password in Skype or anything in a Pages document is selectable but can´t be changed!
3. I can´t cmd-tab through the open applications!
4. the menu bar no longer changes when I change applications!
it is possible there are other issues that I have not yet found.
Everything goes fine once I reboot until I go near the File System again.
When I installed 10.6.8 it did crash at the end and asked if I wanted to send a report to Apple which I did.
I did also update the AirPort Utility, Java for Mac OS X 19.6 Update 5 and iTunes 10.3.1 at the same time.
Following other suggestions I have now installed the Mac OS X Combined Update but this did not change anything.
Until someone can help I will be rebooting my Mac a lot.

What I finally did was take a video of the startup screen and was able to see that what was happening was fsck was failing, and then the system just halted. This info presumably makes it to dmesg, but not to system.log (huge oversight IMO). So its not easily discerned.

Specifically I had to boot into single user (command+S at the startup sound)
and issue:
fsck_hfs -ypr /dev/rdisk0s2

10.6.8 Macbook Pro firmware update problem

I installed a couple of updates for my MBP 10.6.8. One was Safari, the other was brand new, released within the last week, I think it was a firmware update, and now the machine will not boot into OSX. I have a Bootcamp Windows 7 partition that starts fine. But if I let it boot, or select the Mac partition, it shows the apple logo, then a little progress bar below it that gets to maybe 5-10%, then starts over, then the computer powers down.
I have tried clearing the flash by holding option+command+P+S. Didnt work.
Is there a way I can boot to a command prompt and clear this update out or something? Or anyway to fix this myself? From the Windows partition maybe?

Template update problem

Oh Dear,
I believe I made a terrible mistake with my template.
I realized that there were 2 copies of my template in 2 different folders. So, I renamed one of the Templates folders.
Now, when I update the template the 29 pages that should be updated are not being updated.
I tried renaming the Renamed Folder back to the original name and still the 29 pages don't update
What is required for me to fix this problem?

I always create a new page from the template that is in my assets panel. I have 6 other templates in this folder for other websites that I've created.
When I realized that I had two template folders (one with my 6 templates and one with the 1 duplicate template) I tried to create a new page from the template in the other folder and the spry formatting for my navigation isn't formattted so I didn't use it. Then I thought I should delete it and did so via the computers explorer window.
Afterwards when I created a new page from the template that is in my assets panel I noticed that it only updates the index page and not the 30 children.
I recreated the folder the computers explorer window and put a copy of the template in the new renamed folder. I do not use the template in this folder.

Sony liveware manager update problem

Hi, my xperia arc s is facing an update problem in the liveware manager. The current software version in my phone is 3.2.7 but whenever i try to update to version 3.3.10, there show me this message. 'Package file was not signed correctly. Uninstall the previous copy of the app and try again.' I cant uninstall the app as it is a built in app. Please help. Thanks.

@NightRequiem this is the same version as what I currently have without any problems. In this circumstance it would be worthwhile running a repair via PC Companion:
1. Before you start you have to download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Once installed on your PC, double-click the PC Companion icon on your desktop to start the update.
Note! For some models you will be prompted to do a backup prior to the update and then restore.
3. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
4. Phone Software Update.
5. Start.
6. Repair Phone
7. Continue
8. Accept data removal
9. Next
10. Wait for prepare
11. Select Phone
12. Follow the connectionn steps

Pages app is not updating from iCloud

My pages app is not updating from iCloud after I installed the new ios8 and of course an update to the Pages app. Did follow the recommendation not to upgrade to the iCloud Drive on initial upgrade to iOS 8.
When I log on line - on the iCloud site, I am able to see all the documents. These also appear on my windows iCloud Drive (Of course the updating is so slooooow ).
Have tried the following:
1. Enabled Pages to update via iCloud and iCloud Drive - documents not updated
2. Enabled Pages to update via iCloud and DISABLED iCloud Drive - documents not updated ( Pages update via iCloud switches off by itself)
please if any one has a solution to this Help!
or it means just be patient and it will eventually down load the documents. So Frustrating !

Sorry, misunderstanding.
I've purchased Pages from iTunes two/three months ago and all worked fine on both iPhone and iPad.
Now here is the problem mentioned above: after upgrading iOS, it is disappeared from both devices still remaining on iTunes.. but I'm not able to re-install it by each other syncronization (as I can for all the other apps) as usual.

Has the updating problem been solved?

My feed was approved earlier today, but I am having some problems getting my page on the iTunes store to update.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Update entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

Not sure whether you have tried these methods, if yes, keep trying the others.
1.Run IE with no add-ons firstly.
Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Internet Explorer (with no add-ons).
If works, please follow the steps to narrow down which add-on cause the issue.
Start IE>Press Alt to show the menu bar>On the Tools menu, click manage add-ons>under show, click All add-ons>disable half add-ons one time for quick narrow down>restart IE.
2.Try resetting IE.
Start IE>Press Alt to show the menu bar>On the Tools menu, click Internet options>Advance>Reset>restart IE.
3. This is caused due to some registry problems occurred. To resolve this issue, follow the below steps:
Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
Type regsvr32 actxprxy.dll in the Open box, and then click OK.
If the command was successfully executed, you will receive the message ‘DllRegisterServer in actxprxy.dll succeeded’ window.
Restart the Internet Explorer
4.if still not work, run system restore.
Start>type system restore in the search box>click system restore>follow the steps in the wizard to choose a restore point.

10.4.10 power update problems

A friend of mine experienced some computer problems after downloading the latest 10.4.10 power update, mostly USB failures. When I recieved the update message I didn't download because I wanted to check to see if other people had any problems. To my surprise I discovered from going to the iMAC disccussion forum that many people were having all sorts of terrible problems. Some people had no negative experiences but many did and they weren't just USB glitches.
Has anyone here had problems after downloading the update or heard of this situation? Google "10.4.10 power update problems MAC".
