Pages 5 Document Endnotes doesn't allow text continuation onto next page?

For large blocks of endnote citations, Pages 5 doesn't all the text to flow down to the end of the page before going to the next. Rather it treats the endnote text area as its own section, thereby moving the entire text box to the next page. This is problematic from a formatting standpoint because it wastes page space, does anyone have a workaround or suggestions?
Example:
Citation 5 is long but I would like to keep it on the same page as Citation 4 and just let the text continue onto the next page. However Pages 5 doesn't allow me to adjust the endnote text box and just jumps to the next page. Rarely do you see endnotes arranged in this manner in high-level research reports and we can't have this.

I exported a PDF from Pages v5.2.2. This uses Apple's Quartz PDFContext, not Quark.
In Windows 7, I opened this PDF with Adobe Acrobat Reader v11.0.09. I then copied/pasted a paragraph of this PDF content into LibreOffice Writer (v4.3.2.2). Since there was Baskerville in Windows 7, this comment pasted correctly including font-size. I did not have to make any adjustments to LO to accept this text.
On Ubuntu Linux 14.04, with the latest updates, I opened the same PDF in Evince, the default PDF viewer. Adobe does not offer an Acrobat Reader download for Linux. Again, I copied and pasted a paragraph of content from the PDF viewer into LibreOffice Writer. As there was no Baskerville installed, Writer defaulted to the Liberation font, at the correct point size.
In either of these platform scenarios, there were no anomalies with sentence/paragraph newlines .vs. carriage return issues from the PDF document during copy/paste operations. These were default control-v pastes that did not use the Paste Special menu item in LibreOffice.

Hello,
I'm creating a form in Adobe XI. I have one question where I want the person's response to be a maximum of two pages long. How do I have it so that their response will run onto the next page? I've been trying for ages and can't seem to figure it out. I need to publish this form by the end of the week. Any thoughts would be very much appreciated!!!

I have an invoice where all the lines are not fitting into one page. So some of the lines are getting printed in the second page. But in this case I wanted to put a message below the first page as "continue on next page"
Since Iam a newbie to XML/BI Publisher I kinda stuck here. Tons of thanks in advance.

The only way it allows me to click "next" is if I choose the $100.00 plan. The email that was sent to me says that I should upgrade or reduce storage because my plan will be reduce to 5GB as of September 30, 2013. Please advise.

Try Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Change Storag Plan. If you are a former MobileMe user you should see Purchase Current Plan listed between the 20GB and 50GB options.

Hi, I'm helping StringSinger2 with this problem.
The previously installed version is Pages 3.0.3 (the same as from iWork 08). This version (Pages 3.0.3/iWork 08) is incompatible with Pages 5.
That is why it would be helpful to install iWork 09, which is the version between the two. It will open the older 08 files, and its saved files are readable by the new Pages5.
SO...
When I try to install iWorks 09 from my retail DVD the error message is "the installer is damaged". (I know the dvd is good, I installed iWorks09 to my laptop today.) Is the "installer" part of the system files? And - If that is damaged is there a patch for that?

SAPscript MAIN Window ITEM TEXT Printing in NEXT PAGE

Hi,
I need to print the Item Text (Item Description or Column Description) if the Item Values (Lines) goes to the NEXT page in the Form. I have TEXT ELEMENTS defined for ITEM TEXT and ITEM VALUES in the MAIN Window. There is no issue with Printing the Item Text and Item Values in the FIRST Page. But in the NEXT page only when the Item values are printed (Item lines in excess of FIRST page), ITEM TEXT needs to be printed before printing the ITEM VALUES. If the FROM goes to NEXT page but not the Item values, then ITEM TEXT need not be printed in the NEXT page. The number of lines in the MAIN Window is different for both pages (FIRST & NEXT). I am not sure how to get this done. So, please provide me with a suitable solution to get this done. Appreciate your help in advance.

Thanks for your reply. Printing item lines between PROTECT / ENDPROTECT, will lead to Print all the line item together in one page. That is not I wanted. It the line items flows to NEXT page, I need to print the Item Header/Item Text. Otherwise, NEXT page should not have the Item Header.

Hi All,
I have a group and sub group in the report. If the sub group records continue to next page, i want to display 'Continued from next page' and also repeat the parent group record in the continued page . I have used the following function in rtf and it does not work. Did any one have face similar issue?

This can be achieved by doing the following .

The image above shows the template - standard table with employee data in it. Notice the last row of the table has most of the borders turned off.
I have got 'Show Gridlines' enabled so you can see it is another row in the table. There are some other fields in there too.
Walking through the more important fields:
InitPT - <?init-page-total: contd_footer?> - initializes a page total object 'contd_footer' - for more info on this check the user guides.
ET - <?add-page-total:contd_footer;1?> - within the table, adds the total into the page.
Footer - <?table-footer:?> - an undocumented command (we had other plans for the command for a later release - hence the lack of doc) to specify that this row is the table footer. MSWord does not have a concept of table footer so we need to mark it as such for the rendering engine to 'see'. Notice its in the last row of the table - no borders remember (thats optional)
PT - <xdofo:inline-total display-condition="exceptlast" name="contd_footer">Continued ...</xdofo:inline-total> - this is the cool piece. It is supposed to render the page total, but instead it will show the string 'Continued ...' on all but the last page of the table.
EET - <?end-page-total:contd_footer?> - this closes out the page total command.
Try it out and play with it here. This approach works with 5.6.3 and above.

Hi Nava,
In your case, I think that we can try to implement another solution to deal with this issue. For example, we can reset the page number based on group and add some information on the page header.

What is the best way to create a news page where the articles may be long and continue to "next page " or 1,2,3
within MUSE
I am trying to trick the blank composition, but wonder if Iframe would work better with a small sized frame?
or inserting a php which I'm not sure about......
Anyone else have articles that "continue" to next page within a frame/box/div/ without leaving the overall structure?

Hey Dave,
What you can do is just fill a webpage with content until you want it to goto the next page, duplicate the page and add the rest of the content. Then at the bottom just add a number navigation or 'Back page / Next page' buttons. It is bascially what a blog does except you won't have database and PHP to automatically populate pages, you will just do it manually.

I'm just trying to find a way of automating my processes a bit.
Basically, you can assume I have information in a Number's document like this:

The APIs for file conversion are only available to plugins - they are not exposed to COM APIs. You can certainly write a custom plugin to handle this and then call it from your VB app. Plugins are written in C/C++.

Can I credit an index in Pages and if not is there a software I can open my pages document in that will allow me to create an index?

I have credit a book in Pages. I would now like to create an index for the book. I cannot see a way to do this. If it cannot be done, is there a program through which I could open this Pages document and then create an index?

The Table of Contents will list particular paragraph styles, so create an "Index" style if need be and use that or anything else that works to style the text that you want to Index.
Then export the T.O.C. as text and reimport it to where you want it in the original file, getting rid of the temporary T.O.C.
The limitation is that the T.O.C. grabs entire paragraphs, so for practical purposes you will have to index only short heads, or do some manual stripping back to polish up the Index. Either way it is a start.

Why when I open my password protected Pages document it doesn't require me to enter the password that I have set to see the document?

When I open my Pages app and try to open my previously password protected document it doesn't require me to enter the password to see the document. It just takes me straight to the document like any other document that isn't password protected. Isn't this the point of having a document password protected so no one can see it without knowing the password? Am I missing something when I set the password in the first place? Thanks.

When you set a password in Pages v5(.2), you are offered a check box to remember the saved password in your keychain. If you do not enable this check box, you will always be prompted locally for the document password. If checked, before opening the document, Pages queries keychain if it knows anything about the current local document security, and once confirmed, it simply opens the document without a challenge.
To disable the keychain knowledge for the local document, you open the document, and choose File > Change Password… . Enter the current (old) password only, then select the Remove Password button. Now, you can use File > Set Password… again to set the password, and omit the Remember this password in my keychain option. The desired document password prompt will occur on your local (and remote) access.

Cannot Print the continued text on to next page

When I use the new Pages on my iPad, I can't open it on my new computer. It tells me that I must download the new Pages to see the Pages document, but when I try to download the new pages to my computer it tells me all apps are up to date.

When I use the new Pages app. On my IPod to type documents, I can't open them on my new computer. It sends me a message that I have to download a newer version of pages to see the Pages document. When I try to do that it tells me all my apps are up to date and will not allow me to upgrade the pages on my iMac.
Any suggestions?
