Pages and letters with addresses

I'm sorry I can't find how to add names form the address book into a pages document. If this isn't built in "it is seriously missing" if it is I can't find it. I could go on but I know the device (iPad) is limited in power and memory. It just keeps getting better too. But for me it's all about efficient productivity, and it just seems obvious that the address book is there to help prevent needing to add things that are already there.
Any one?

This post has been running since 2012 so it refers to a bunch of different versions with different solutions. I had documents on my phone that were not showing up on icloud.com or pages on my mac.
Here is what worked for me running OSX 10.8.4 on my mac and and ios 6.1.4 on my phone.
On my phone:
I checked settings > icloud > documents and data. This was on.
I checked setting > pages > use icloud. This was on.
On my mac:
I checked system preferences > icloud > documents and data. This was checked.
On icloud.com I tried to find settings but couldn't.
Finally I powered off my iphone (hold home and power button on top simultaneously) and restarted my iphone and opened pages and everything began syncing. I hope this helps some.

What is the best practice for creating master pages and styles with translated text?

I format translated text all the time for my company. I want to create a set of master pages and styles for each language and then import those styles into future translated documents. That way, the formatting can be done quickly and easily.
What are the best practices for doing this? As a company this has been tried in the past, but without success. I'd like to know what other people are doing in this regard.

I create a master template that is usually void of content, with the exception I define as many of the paragraph styles I believe can/will be used with examples of their use in the body of the document--a style guide for that client. When beginning a new document for that client, I import those styles from the paragraph styles panel.
Exception to this is when in a rush I begin documentation first, then begin new work. Then in the new work, I still pull in those defined paragraph and or object styles via their panels into the new work.
There are times I need new styles. If they have broader applicability than a one-off instance or publication, then I open the style template for that client and import that style(s) from the publication containing the new style(s) and create example paragraphs and usage instructions.

Saving my documents in pages and keynote with OS X Mountain Lion

Ever since I upgraded to OSX Mountain Lion, I'm having a terrible time saving my documents in pages and keynote. I miss "save as" and can't stand the "rename" and "move to" replacements. Is there a tutorial to help me? or can I put "save as" back in menu? Has anyone else been struggling with this?

Sure. At midnight, you have to draw a sacred circle, light 11 candles, say the incantation, hold down the option key, and choose "save as".

How do I get rid of yahoo and Pogo toolbars. They are not listed in my XP Windows programs, but they are on my firefox home page and interfere with my gmail use..

Both toolbars have uninstall instructions in their help section shown on the toolbars. I've pasted these in the trouble-shooting section below. When I try to find these programs at the START menu, either in my settings or in the "add/remove program" section of my Control Panel, they are not there. Both toolbars take prominence over gmail, which is my preferred toolbar for browsing, etc. So although I can do whatever I need to do, I first have to wend my way through Pogo's face page and then yahoos intrusion on web sites. Why can't I get rid of these two toolbars? I never intentionally asked for them and I'm still not sure how they were authorized to be there, although it is obvious that I must have done it.

it wasnt listed at ALL on my toolbars, and when i originally open firefox, the first page is google. when id start a new tab however, this stupidness was there. i had to go into Control Panel->Internet Properties and change it there. Hope it helps you also :)

You use Option/alt key shortcuts like Option/alt + e, then e to get é. Here is list:

Looking to adjust page and lettering size into mm

Hi all,
I've currently got some font in which I would like to adjust to the real size so that I can se measurements of each letter etc before I cut the lettering out in vinyl.
I would like to adjust the page size too 1800mm in width and 600mm in length.
I would also like to adjust the lettering too 1750 in width and then the same proportion in length.
How do I do this please.

Actually, you can do both of those things quite simply.
Firstly, your page size can be set in the Document Setup option from the file menu, and simply type the numbers and the measurement units in the field: 1800mm
If you want to set all of your documents to use mm natively, simply have InDesign launched with no open documents, and go to the preferences. From there, choose Units.
For the type, simply add mm after the numbers in the size field. InDesign will automatically convert them to points. You can convert to outlines when you're ready to send the file.

Printing pages and links with one click

Is it possible to print a multiple page pdf document as well as any imbedded links in that document - with one click?

No there isn't any option to print the mails as well as attachment with one go.
You have to manually open the attachment and print.

Lock page and signatures with signature

I need to lock a document (including signatures). Currently, I can set the signature field to lock the page or parts of it, but all signatures can still be cleared and resigned by the signator. How do I stop that? I need it to be final and unchangeable once the final signature is applied.

You can lock the entire document from changes when signing a field, but only if it's the last unsigned signature field in the document. The only change that is allowed is clearing the signature by the person who applied it, assuming no one else has access to your digital id (private key).

Page size and lettering to large,and want to reduce.have zoomed out and in but still now change.

Check that you do not run Firefox in compatibility mode or with a reduced screen resolution.
You can check that in the "Compatibility" tab in the Properties via the right-click context menu of the Firefox desktop shortcut.<br />

HT3500 I have mosx Lion have no driver for my photosmart c4580 printer and the printer test page gives no ip address. How do I get my printer to work?

We bought a new Mac bookpro using the latest version of lion 10.8. We also have a c4580 photosmart printer and have bee unable to find a driver down load for this printer and our Macbook. We have tried to use u tube and other sites including Apple support to try to connect to our printer. We run a printer test page and the ip address comes up "not applicable". Do we need to connect the macbook to the router? What are we doing wrong? HP site will not give us a driver download. I have to buy it. Seems simplar to goand buy a new printer but this one is still good. Can anyone help? We are not as software savy as alot of you out there. Thanks.

I am creating a book and had 27 pages done manually off of an album , I wanted to add more pages but when I try to add a page nothing happens.

Select the book in the left hand sourcd pane and type Command +D (duplicate). Then do as Keith suggested to turn it into two separate books, i.e one with 1-50 pages and one with 1-57 to get all of the pages included in two about equal books.
The will have to be ordered separately with separate shipping charges.

Sorry for my late reply.
It s not the amount of accounts I'm struggling with.
When I create now for both email addresses one account, then I receive the same emails two times.
That is not what I want.
Because on gmx the two email addresses have the same inbox and outbox.
E.g. I can login to my gmx account either with email A or B. It doesn't matter.
Now I want to have the same on my ipad.
One account with both email addresses.

On my Macbook, with google homepage, it often begins looping onto google search page and will not allow me to access any websites either by clicking on one, or typing address in. in page

I use google as my homepage. Very often( every day at some point) when I search a subject and click on the address, a google search page come up with list of choices. When I click on address it simply returns to this page and will not let me access any websites either by clicking on them, opening in new window or tab, nor allowing me to access anything from the address line. When this occurs, it just keeps looping into this page. I clear cache, shut down, and try everything possible. Occurs very randomly and never when I first turn on the computer. ???????

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Maybe this is relevant: I bought iphoto from the German apple store but I now live in Italy. I have tried German credit card with German invoicing address and Italian shipping address. And I have tried Italian credit card with Italian invoicing address and Italian shipping address. The phenomenon is the same: shipping address appears in red and I am asked to fill in the mandatory fields (which turn red whatever I enter).

what is the setting for the Print Products Store in the Advanced Tab of the iPhoto Preferences?
The country you select there has to match the billing address. And your billing address should match the country of your AppleID and credit card used with the AppleID.
