Pages are appearing too big in my browser, help!

Just downloaded my FireFox, opened it up and the pages are too big. I have to scroll around to see the full page of any site. I tried looking through the setting, but can't seem to find anything that fit the bill.

It starts at the top, without any scrollbar. Am I missing anything. Could you please provide a screenshot how it looks at your end, after publishing.

Hi, exactly what is too big and in comparison to what else. Please remember we can not see what you are seeing.
* are you looking at webpages that are mainly text, is the text to big or too small or ok and you can read it ?
* does [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/home/?as=u this] firefox support page display ok ?
* is text size normal, and does it all fit on the width of the screen without you needing to scroll ?
* do you know what screen resolution you are using ?
Some things you could try:
* ZOOM use control key and the plus or minus key, or use View-> Zoom note that also includes a 'text only' option
* Full Screen View: key F11 or View -> Full screen will hide some of the bars so you see more of the webpage (press F11 again to return to normal)
There are options for setting minimum text sizes, and also addons to change all sorts of things, sometimes with special scripts, but lets just try the simple things first.
Note in Windows XP your screen resolution may be reset to different valuses using
* Start -> Control Panel -> Display -> screen resolution
Note that has a slider and towards the "more" end will give more pixels, that usually results in more text or words being displayed on a screen or webpage, but each word being smaller.

The font for my yahoo log in is very very small anbd my email fonts are far too big and the words overlap, please help to correct this problem

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems, make sure that the window is not maximized:
*<b>View > Zoom > Reset</b> (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause such issues.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

The browsers for my applications are much too big

A certain cat walked across the keyboard of my macbook pro and now the browsers for my applications are much too big. I am unable to scroll all the way down. i tried the standard "command +/-" but it isn't working. Please help! Here are two screenshots, the first in iMovie and the second in Word (i just installed the 2011 update but am unable to get past this screen because i can't scroll all the way to the bottom.)

Double-tap the screen with three fingers to disable Zoom.
To turn off Zoom go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom and turn this Off.

I am a novice web designer and I need help!
The above site listed is the site I am currently working on. As you can see the menu bar...is not a menu bar at all but a long list of links along the left side.
HOWEVER, when I click on LIVE VIEW in DreamWeaver everything looks fine.
There should be 7 total menu bars with 7 Dropdown menu options each (except on the bottom menu bar which there will only be 4 I believe)
What am I doing wrong??

I just want to add, however, that somehow my Spry Assets folder was placed somewhere outside of the rest of my files! no wonder I was confused.

as I said, I can not see the bottom of the photo shop page, I cannot see the botom dock, nor can I resize the photohsop page cuz it will not allow me to.... thus the problem.... I must have hit some setting of page set up, ??
what you see is what I see, the botom is cut off , with no option to wcroll or move... I cannot grab the bottom right coner and drag the page smaller....

Viewable area appearing too small in Portal

Hi Experts,
We are facing a very strange problem. We are using EP 7.0 . The viewable area is appearing too small when we click on refresh. On repeated press of F5,it is showing very erratic behaviour .The area is expanding or shortening every time we press F5.
Any inputs on this would be highly appreciated.

Check the internet explorer setting and do the security setting as medium.

my icons are all big on desktop but not on dock. safari screen doesn't fit on my display, too big. what have i done?

Possibly zoomed the screen. Hold CNTL and scroll down with the mouse or trackpad.

Export file too big! I need help.

I am trying to export a text book from pdf to word. How do I export a file if it is too big? Is there a way to export half? Or export certain pages? I am not computer savvy so this may have an easy solution.

If the PDF file you're starting with is larger than 100MB, ExportPDF won't be able to convert it.
To convert a file of that size, you'll need Adobe Acrobat. You'd need Acrobat to divide the file into smaller chunks for ExportPDF anyhow, so Acrobat is probably the best solution for you. You can learn more about Acrobat here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html

Best Quality too big for DVD. need help

Hi,
I just completed a movie using iMovie. I compressed the movie as a Quicktime file at best quality and it is 6gb. I understand that this is too big for the 4.7gb dvd-r's i have.
I wanted to know the best way to get my movie to fit while still mainting the best possible quality. This project is very important and i need it to be able to play on a home dvd player tomorrow.
I'm using iDVD.
Can somebody please help me out.

first of all: on this forum, my guess is, you are the one with the deepest insight in iMovie (one word: corrupted projects... oops, that was two).
BUT...
My job for more then 20 years is communication, advertisement as an example. make the message in less then 8 words...
Apples says: 60/120 minutes of an iM project fit on a dvd-r.Full stop.
that is from my p.o.v crystal-clear..HOW is this done? easy: make project, click "iDVD" - BOOM! done... to quote the CEO of a small computer company...
people buy cars without ANY idea, what ABS, EPS, etc is, besides HOW it works. they use it. full stop. anyone any idea, what happens, when you push the pedal...? ... when the car DOESN'T accelerate, you realize, you have NO clue...-
funny enough, this forum is CROWDED with people, who don't own a driver's license, but try to explain, the car manufacturer has done big bugs, lots of mistakes, should fix that & this.- you CAN use a car, to boil eggs, iron your shirts and create a painting... but THAT would need a better understanding of how a car works.

Pdf file (pages template) is too big

I created a newsletter from the "Green Grocer" newsletter template on pages 08. It looks great. I have exported it as a pdf file, but now the file size is 18 MBs and too large for most people to read. It's only two pages. Help! The artwork was not that big to start with. Should I be saving it differently? Eventually I'd like to send it as a mailing with different content every month, so need to solve this.

Use a graphics program like GraphicConverter or Photoshop Elements to reduce the images before inserting them in your Pages document.
I don't notice much quality difference between the three options. I try to reduce the files as much as possible before posting on a web page or e-mailing. The odds are your recipient will be viewing the PDF on the computer rather than printing it. Printing would be more likely to need a higher resolution although I've never gotten any complaints.

I am Apple Fans. But I am totally diappointed by iPhone 5. I am using iPhone 5 and find the Apps not compateble with the software. Their pages are having 2 big black banner at top

For iPhone 5 with IOS6, all Apps appear ugly page on the screen. There is 2 black banner at top & bottom of the screen. It is totally acceptable.

You must have a white iPhone 5. With a black one the black bars are not so obvious.
