Pages being rotated
when I'm creating my master pdf. I am dragging smaller PDF files into the Pages tab.
This works, up until today. now when I drag Pdf's in. They get rotated Randomly. 90 or 180.
what has changed since yesterday when I left my desk?
This must be fixed. as I build Manuals all day long by dragging and dropping multiple small Pdf's into my Master Manuals.

To be able to rule out your adblock addon from being the problem on that site do this: go into 'add-ons' in the firefox menu, into the extension tab (just like before) find the adblock addon and click on the 'disable' button. NOW GO TO YOUR GAME SITE AGAIN & SEE IF ITS STILL NOT WORKING FOR YOU OR IF ITs (sorry, not yelling at you. That key placement sucks) see if its working like it did before adding adblock. If its working good without it then its that particular add0n causing the puzzle problem. This is okay, you just need to follow my instructions and get a different adblock addon from the same place you got the first. You may have to install a few (one at a rime) til you find one that doesn't block your puzzle from working. If you notice while looking for add-ons the list will contain only ones that go with your version of firefox & OpSystem. Occasionally you may see one grayed out, that means not available to your version as well. Try bthat while I finish up with my stuff. And let me know whats happening. Good Luck.

Is Rh the Best App for Managing 41 manuals, with many pages being the same?
I'd like to automate a labor intensive task that I will soon be assuming. We have 41 install manuals for an automotive accessory that fits 41 different models of vehicles. The current manual is 28 pages with at least 24 pages being identical. The documents are done in Word, along many pictures and drawings. When the document is finished, it is converted to a PDF and sent with the item. The pdf is also made available online for folks who may need the electronic version. When we change one page that is common to all, we have to manually update each Word file and then convert it. As you can imagine, the manuals don't get updated and corrected as often as they should
Since most of the pages are the same, I would like software that can manage changes to these pages and automatically update all manuals. For example, if a change is necessary on page 6 and 34 manuals use this page, I simply change one page and the software "exports" this new page to all affected manuals.
1) Would Rh do this?
2) Would it be the best choice for this task?
3) If Rh is the best choice for this, what is the best approach for beginning this task? Get a book and read or just jump in?
4) I came across a book written by a firm called GooberGuides, is this a good resource? Do you recommend a better one?
5) Does my project require a special technique when setting it up in an app like Rh or is the process fairly intuitive? I don't want to waste time by implementing this incorrectly, only to start over again when I realize there was a better way.
I would be very grateful for any guidance you could provide.

RodgerI don't think your questions were answered, except for the tool one, which is not the most important one. I would reverse your questions:
Does my project require a special technique? Yes! Single sourcing, which is a methodology for developing modular, reusable information, not a tool. Before you even approach a tool, you must analyze your content, define standards for it, define information types (Google for DITA), and convert it from linear (as your Word documents are) to modular.

I have a BSP Page A.htm. There are two other pages B.HTM and C.HTM in the same BSP Application.
The page B.HTM has a link A.HTM. The page C.HTM also has a link A.HTM. On clicking these links the Page A.HTM would be invoked. Is there any way to keep track which BSP Page (i.e B.HTM or C.HTM) invoked the page A.HTM.
Any input on this Regard would be of great help.

In the onClick event of the link that calls the A.htm page , use:
call method runtime->get_url
receiving
URL = appl_url.
Now appl_url contains the url (also name) of the page that invoked A.htm .

Is anyone else having this problem? I usually attach photos from my existing camera roll when sending ecards, suddenly starting yesterday, all my photos are being rotated and coming up sideways! I use Blue Mountain.com for my ecards. I called their tech support line, they accessed my account and say they can do it no problem. It is my iPads problem!?? Any help out there. I had major issues with the iPhone 4s battery, however it’s resolved.
The tech who set the phone up at the Apple store did so with little training.
if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.

My wife and I have been dealing with a very similar issue with our iPhone 5ss, all battery drain issues started after the upgrade to ios 7.03. We have performed numerous restores and have had 3 trips to the Genius Bar. Finally they gave us new iPhones (yesterday). We had hoped this would do the trick but we have the same problem on the new phones.
This morning I restored one and didn't sign into iCloud. Battery drain is now gone. And when I deleted iCloud from my wife's phone it too went back to normal. So I believe the culprit is iCloud and I am now testing various setups with iCloud to determine which app/setting is causing the problem.
Hope this helps with your phones. I will post again if I can narrow it down to something specific.

How do you rotate the PDF you created in Acrobat but keep everything on the page from rotating with it?
I made a very complex form, but have decided it would be best to have it as a portrait instead of landscape.
Of course, when I rotate it, everything on the form is turned sideways.Assuming that you created the form fields in Acrobat and those were just imposed on top of a document that you created from another application you might try these steps:
1. Create a new PDF in landscape from the original document.
2. Copy the form fields from the previous document to the new document.
3. Move the fields to the proper locations.
At least I think this has a chance of working. You might give it a try on a single page or such. -
6th gen nano won't recognize being rotated
One of the features of the 6th generation iPod nano is use of the accelerometer, that it will recognize being rotated and rotate the display accordingly. Is this a setting that needs to be enabled beforehand, or would you suspect a hardware problem?

Links being rotated on replace pages
When I replace pages from pages that were previously printed to Adobe PDF from ESRI ArcGIS application with ones exported to PDF the links rotate and I cannot figure out how to fix this problem. I need to export from ESRI ArcGIS to take advantage of the layered options.

-AHi, I just tested this against 3 different versions of WSA and did not see the problem you are reporting. If this continues I suggest you contact Cisco support. This does not appear to be an issue specifically with the WSA itself from my findings.

How do I re-order pages or rotate and save?
My wife and I get faxes electronically and sometimes the person on the other end puts them in the fax machine upside down, so all the pages need to be rotated 360 degrees. Also, we want to remove the cover page before we save the PDF document and it'd be nice to re-order a few pages that the sender got in the wrong order.
When we got our first fax, we installed Adobe Reader 7.0 (now 9.1), and although it has a rotate capability, we can't seem to figure out how to save it correctly so it's rotated correctly the next time we view it. We also can't seem to figure out how to remove a page or re-order pages.
How do you do this with the reader? Seems like a common thing to need.
Since Adobe doesn't appear to have anyone to talk with in sales (tried to call, but after over an hour on hold, we gave up) to find out how to do this, or if there an add-on, or if there another product from Adobe that does this, or if Adobe is even the best product to solve our issue (the faxes can be in Image format or PDF, so maybe Image is a better solution?) can anyone on this forum help?
We can't afford to spend hundreds of dollars, but if there is an add-on for $29.99 or something, we could probably swing that to solve this problem.
If Adobe doesn't make a product that can rotate and save, re-order a few pages occasionally, or remove a page, is there another company that makes such a product that is affordable?

RandyThank you for your reply. Darn, I was hoping it was in there someplace... especially being able to re-order pages, remove a cover page, simple stuff like that. While I've been on hold for 2.5+ hours for support from Adobe, I searched through their products, etc... it appears Acrobat would do what we want, but it's aweful expensive for what we need, to simply rotate, remove a cover page, and re-order a few pages. Acrobat appears to be a product for making all sorts of PDF files, converting, and colaboration, none of which we need.
Does anyone know if the price of $299 is per PC? (If so, then it's way out of our reach) My wife and I each have a home PC and each have a laptop, we are a very small company. If I was to splurge the big money and buy acrobat, I'd want to install it on our 4 PC's, not just one.

Trouble with home page being indexed

For some reason my home page isn't being indexed by Google and I can't understand why. If I put in site:thelittlethings.info/Home.html into Google it doesn't appear but it does if I go to that URL so it definitely exists in that form. If I put just site:thelittlethings.info into Google then my home page comes up but just as www.thelittlethings.info/.
I think I may have done something wrong when renaming my index file or something as this problem never used to exist. Can someone explain to me how I need to publish the site if I don't want my home page to be the first url in the nav bar because I think this is where the problem exists unless someone has a different idea. I know I have a few issues with the seo on my site but this seems to be a specific and fundamental error that I making.

I put a Business Data List web part on a Web Part Page in SharePoint 2010. The page is being cached. I keep getting old, same, and incorrect results all the time whenever I click the Retrieve button.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to stop the Web Part or Page from being cached.
Per my knowleadge, the default implementation of the BDC service and the related Web Parts do not provide a caching mechanism for storing the retrieved information. The entity information is retrieved from the BDC and is stored
directly into the ASP.NET cache. You can refer to:

I recommend to open the web.config file in SharePoint's web site and change to
<WebPartCache Storage="None" />, then restart IIS (iisreset at a command prompt will do).

You'll need to create a rotated Master page to hold this type of layout (if that's what you mean by a "fat" page).
1. Create a new Master page (right- or left-sided as needed) for the landscape orientation.
2. Use the Format > Customize layout menu to rotate the page (typically clockwise).
3. Select the Text frame.
4. Rotate the text frame back (counter-clockwise).
5. Transpose Height/Width values and reset the Top/Left so that it fits properly on the page (wrt to the standard Master page(s)).
