Pages changes the page size when exporting to pdf

When exporting a pages document (size 8.5w x 7.0h) to pdf it changes the size to (8.5w x 11.0h) any suggestions on exporting it correctly.
If not is there a way to resize it once it is a pdf or other software to convert it correctly?
I am using Pages 09 with Lion 10.7.1

I am in the process of writing a doc on the different options in CR and the "No Printer" option sis one of those. Seeing this post, made me wonder as this looked like a questionable behavior. My testing does not support your observations. Now, I did a very simple test;
Created a report, set "No Printer", set the paper size and legal orientation. Exported to XLS - any format, and the export maintained legal paper size in all instance. I did a few other variations, but I can never get the report to export anything other than Landscape.
Can you please let me know the version of CR you are using?
You may also want to attach the report here with saved data (to attach rename the rpt to txt, then in the reply hit on the "Use advanced editor" link and attach.
BTW.; I am using CR 2013.

Set up the Preflight panel so it checks image resolution. Ask your printer what the appropriate resolution is for your printing process, and set that in Preflight.

In the object navigator expand 'Papar Layout' node and double click on the
'Main section' node. There you vill be able to change paper size.

Changing the font size when sending email out from the iPad with MobileMe

Is there a way from the iPad, or from my MacBook to the iPad, that I can increase the size of the font when typing outgoing mail? I use MobileMe on both my iPad and MacBook. My sister has cataracts and she needs the type size larger than what is already set on the iPad outgoing mail. I can make the type size larger for my incoming mail - I guess I did it through iPad settings -but I can't seem to figure out how to make it larger for my outgoing mail. I would prefer to be able to answer her on my iPad than having to switch back to my Mac each time she writes. Thank you.

Page change the current row when concurrent users press save in the same ti

I have a problem that appear only when a lot of users are running at the same time
that I have an editable form that have save button some times when I press save the current row that I edit is changed or return null row.
for example imagine that I edit employee that has Id = 50 when a lot of users running on the application at the same time when I press save the record changed to another employee that has id = 49 or returns empty form
in my code for save I call application module method that have code similar to this

How to change the default structure when exporting data in CSV format?

Hello,
can some one tell us how to change the default structure in CRM when exporting lists in CSV format (with Option "Always use unformatted list format (CSV) for download" ? Because we want to add a new structure for our own -is it possible ?
If it is possible where can we find these structure ? In the blueprint customizing ?

There is a workaround to move from 1.5 version to the older 1.4 version. But this could be specific to the browser setting the JRE version.

However, a user can still run older versions. To do so, launch the Java Plug-in Control Panel for the older version, then (re)select the browser in the Browser tab.
Example:
Assume you are running on Microsoft Windows with Microsoft Internet Explorer, have first installed version 1.4.2, then version 5.0, and you want to run 1.4.2.
Go to the j2re1.4.2\bin directory where JRE 1.4.2 was installed. On a Windows default installation, this would be here: C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2\bin
Double-click the jpicpl32.exe file located there. It will launch the control panel for 1.4.2.
Select the Browser tab. Microsoft Internet Explorer might still appear to be set (checked). However, when 5.0 was installed, the registration of the 1.4.2 JRE with Internet Explorer was overwritten by the 5.0 JRE.
If Microsoft Internet Explorer is shown as checked, uncheck it and click Apply. You will see a confirmation dialog stating that browser settings have changed.
Check Microsoft Internet Explorer and click Apply. You should see a confirmation dialog.
Restart the browser. It should now use the 1.4.2 JRE for conventional APPLET tags.

My system (Windows XP) has the version 1.5_09 set as the default. However i just installed JRE 1.5_06 and would like to revert back to _06 as the default JRE..

Change the form size when using 9ias v 1.0.22 - Forms 6i to web

I have a form created in Forms 6i. When I run this on web the viewable size is only 1/4 of avaible screen space and I need to use the scroll bars to see the entire form.
Currently using 9iAS v 1.0.22

How do I keep the original size when exporting?

I have people sending me photos to edit. I work a little in photoshop cs4 and then back in lightroom 3, but when I go to send them the photos back ,they are HUGE! How can I send them the same size file they sent me? (the ones I am currently working on are tiff. files.)

If you are editing tif files, then you have only a couple of choices.
Flatten the image before you save it. This will reduce it down to one layer. That's the smallest you can get.
When you first open the image, look to see if it's 8 bit or 16 bit tif. It won't help you, but if the image is 8 bit, and you save it as 16 bit, you will have dramatically increased the size of the file for nothing. If it's started as 16, no worries!
check if you are saving with compression. Tif compression is lossless, so unless you did something like resize+resample, it remains the same bit density, etc, so should be just as printable as what they sent you (unless you messed up!).

Typically a Word file's content is text which has not image association.
For whatever images might be in the Word file you'd want to adjust image resolution in an image editor prior to bringing the image into the Word file from which the PDF is made.

File Size when Exporting to PDF

Hi!
I have a script that exports InDesign documents to PDF, but when I export it, the file size is too big. The document is a product brochure so there are a lot of images. Is there any way that I can make the file size smaller besides the Image Compression in Adobe PDF Preset? I plan on creating a custom preset. I tried the [Smallest File Size] preset but the quality of the images is not good.

It's unrelated to the script you are using.
This has been discussed over and over in the general forum, but it boils down to:
If you have lots of images, there is no way you can have a small file AND good image quality. One of them has to suffer.
That said, you can inspect and possibly clean up your PDF withAcrobat Pro.

Reduce Doc Size When Exporting

Is there a way to reduce a page size when exporting from InDesign? I have a 20 x 30 poster want to export at 50% and make the pdf @ 10 x 15. Thanks.

by print to pdf do U mean make a ps file instead of exporting, correct?
Well, here's the thing... the orig question was a generalization of what we are trying to do.
The actual file is 19 pgs of panels that are 20 x 30. We need to make pdfs for the client to look at on screen. The file is huge when we try to make pdfs by exporting... even at the smallest file size and then reduce file in Acrobat. We found that reducing the doc size & making pdf yields a much smaller and more manageable file size, but it takes very long to postscript. We were just trying to avoid that step. Thought for sure the was a way to reduce the output size when exporting.

We have a bunch of FI reports created using OOPS in abap. Each of the reports has the functionality to be exported to an excel spreadsheet. When exporting to Excel, the headers are a very dark brown color, making them difficult to read and it has been requested that they are shaded a lighter color. I have not defined any sort of color scheme within the report itself, and I was wondering if there was a way to change the color scheme when exporting the report to excel. Fuzzy vector graphics when exporting to PDF?

Hi all,
I've switched to Fireworks from Omnigraffle because I work in a Windows environment and there isn't a Windows-compatible version of Omnigraffle available.
I've noticed that when I export mockups/wireframes that I create in Fireworks to PDF, that the vector images are all fuzzy, as if anti-aliasing has gone overboard. This never happens when I create mocks/frames in Omnigraffle - what I see on the screen is what I get from the printer.
Should I be adjusting my settings in Fireworks somehow, say changing the DPI settings when creating a document, turning anti-aliasing off with text, or anything like that? Is there some magic bullet combination that will give me clean wireframes with crisp, clear edges (including text) in Fireworks?

The document seems perfect in the viewer but when exported to PDF, the text seems to overlap each other and there are huge spaces between words. Using Crystal 11 release 2 (version 11.5.8.826). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pages are not scaled correctly, if you change the font size in browser (Fireworks export in CSS)

I created some simple pages for my website with fireworks. I only used images and text and exported the pages in CSS and images. The Problem is that if you change the font size in the browser text and images or text and text often overlap each other. So what can I do that the page is scaled correctly?

Yep, the "Font Size" option under Setup / Display is certainly not what it should be.
Perhaps Menu or Fixed Font size would be more accurate.
This problem extends to much of the device; the Browser, e-mails and the lock screen. Lock screen certainly looks like it was thrown together.
