Pages documents -transfer to Mac or to Cloud or to email

Pages for IPAD -Can no longer email a document from Pages?.  Also documents do not show up in ITunes, when connected to MAC, so I cannot transfer selected documents to MAC?  Also I do not know how to Save document to Cloud from IPad Pages?

If you want to use iCloud with Pages go to Settings>Pages>Use iCloud>On. Of course, you have to be signed into iCloud as well in Settings>iCloud. Also Settings>iCloud>iCloud Drive>On>Page>On. If you do this, the document is saved automatically to iCloud.
To transfer files to the Mac, you use File Sharing. You have to Send the document to iTunes. It does not happen automatically when you sync the device.
iOS: About File Sharing - Apple Support
You you send a copy via email the same way. Tap the action Icon in the upper right corner and then select the format, after that you will get the Choose how to send window that you see above.

Thanks very much for the instructions.  I encountered this problem this morning myself and the recommendation fixed the problem immediately.  When things like this happen with iCloud and Pages it makes me wonder if I might be better off using something else, having just recently had to fix the problem that the current Pages can't read documents I created with a much earlier version until they were "upgraded" by an interim version.

  • How to block unnecessary page pop up like mac keeper, zip cloud etc?

how to block unnecessary page pop up like mac keeper, zip cloud etc?

Hi. if you see these pop ups this may be the symptom of adware. Download, open adwaremedic dmg file ,  and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button  to remove adware.
Once done, quit AdwareMedic and restart your mac: http://www.adwaremedic.com/
Install adblock for your browser: https://adblockplus.org/

  • Pages document from my Mac to my iPad

How do I sync a Pages document from my Mac to my iPad Pages app using iCloud?

The desktop/Mac OS X versions of the iWork apps have not been updated to take advantage of iCloud yet. In the meantime you can go to iCloud.com, sign in & click the iWork icon where you can upload & download files. You could also try e-mail or Dropbox. Hopefully we will see those updates, maybe even a whole new version of iWork, soon.

  • I have pages version 2.1 for the i pad. When I try to open pages documents on my mac it says You need a newer version of Pages to open this document. I have updated to the very latest Pages for mac version 4.3. Cant figure it out.

I have Pages version 2.1 for the i-pad. I have Pages on my Macbook, version 4.3. When I try to ipen a doc on my Mac it says I need a newer version to open this doc. There is no newer version. I need these docs in a bad way and cant get to them on the Mac. Any ideas?

IOS Pages 2.0 and 2.1 implement an entirely incompatible document format with Pages ’09 v4.3. It cannot open them, and you are then prompted to update to Pages v5+ which is compatible with your IOS Pages.
Unfortunately, updating to Pages v5+ is a bad thing, as it is a brand new application that has omitted over 90+ features from Pages ’09 v4.3. When you update to Pages v5+, it will move your old still functional version of the earlier Pages into /Applications/iWork. Aside from all the missing functionality, Pages v5+ will likely damage older documents that depend on specific Pages ’09 v4.3 features (including AppleScript and custom Templates).
Oh, by the way, the older and new Pages documents have the same filename extension (.pages) making document organization difficult without applying different tag colors to old and new documents.
We are recommending that users remain on their earlier Pages version. You may have to export documents from IOS Pages as Word .docx to avoid the OS X Pages update notice.

  • Pages on iPhone can't read Pages documents sent from Mac

My new MacMini (Yosemite) isn't compatible with my old Word files; it saves them in Pages. When I tried reading these on my iPhone, nada. Customer Support said I needed to buy the Pages app   (I was surprised it wasnt included since my iOs software is also current). So I bought that for $10 --- and still get the same blank grey screen saying <Original.pages   Pages document    270 KB> ---- but nothing else ---  when I try to open the Pages doc (whether from Dropbox, or directly downloaded from an email).

Please update your tag line. It still says you are on OS X 10.3.9
You simply have your Word files set to be opened by Pages. Fix that by selecting a Word file in Finder:
Menu > File > Get Info > Open with > choose Word > Change All
Your iPhone must be older than September 2013 which is when Apple started offering Pages for free.
Are you saying transferred files are blank on your iPhone? How do they appear on your Mac?

  • CAN I PUT EXISTING DOCUMENTS FROM MY MAC ON I CLOUD DRIVE

I have many documents already on my MacBook Air and many Photos and events in iPhotos.
Can these be sent to the cloud for storage and work view them if they can easily be retrieved

Get an  external drive for that. iCloud Drive is not intended for use as just another storage device.

  • Why can't I get a Mac created/iPad edited Pages document to appear in iTunes when using "send to iTunes" command in Pages on my iPad

This morning I updated to iTunes 10.4. and also updated Pages on my MacBook (SL 10.6.8)  to version 4.1. My iDevices are all recognized in iTunes and all is going fine except for this one thing. I created a Pages document on my Mac and I sent it to my iPad using file sharing with iTunes. I edited and finished the document on the iPad and then used the "send to iTunes" feature and prepared to sync back to my Mac. The document appears to transfer over - and I have tried sending it over again and again - but it never appears in the file sharing Pages documents window after I sync. When I try to send it from the iPad again, the device tells me that the document already exists and asks if I want to replace it, so it must be transferring somehow but I don't see it in the window.
This only started after I updated both applications. I've been using Pages and file sharing without any issues at all until now. The really ironic thing is that I can create a Word document on my Mac, send it to the iPad, edit it there and send it back to iTunes and it appears in the window like you would expect - but my Pages documents do not. Word documents work fine but not Pages documents? Documents created on the iPad seem to be going back and forth fine but not Mac created files.
I've tried everything I can think of, restarting disconnecting the iPad reconnecting the iPad, hard reset .... Any ideas? Is there something that I am missing? Anybody else experience this?

Just thought I'd add my solution, I decided to go with WebDAV and I think it actually works better than the iTunes way, the steps are pretty much the same but avoiding the iTunes interface just makes things easier and faster.
I followed this guide but it does have a small mistake in the httpd-dav.conf file, on line 2, where it's WebServer/WebDAV">, it should be <Directory "/Library/WebServer/WebDAV">.
The tricky part is setting permissions which if wrong will give you errors when connecting with the iPad, I opted to set all to Read&Write since my home network has a hardware firewall. Another convenience was to add an alias to the webdav share on the Desktop.
I'm still expecting the call from Apple but even if they fix the iTunes I'm sticking with WebDAV, atleast until I see what's new with iOS5 and iCloud this fall which should bring true sync for documents (I'm hoping that they will offer encryption with my own keys, if not, then I'll probably keep using WebDAV).

  • I have pages 09 0n my Mac Mini, but iCloud won't accept pdf documents not created in pages...

I have pages 09 0n my Mac Mini, but iCloud won't accept some pdf documents not created in Pages (Its says Document format not supported).
How do I get docs (pdf/jpg etc.), that are saved under "Documents" on my Mac Mini (Not in Pages), onto iCloud???
I want to transfer (None Pages) documents from the Mac Mini to my iPad 3 (Which has Pages for iPad 3).
Thanks in advance for ANY Feedback!

You can download PDF files from iWork's page to a mac, but you can't upload from mac.  Also, you can't use iCloud like MobileMe's iDisk.  Most document formats on your mini can't be copied to iCloud.  Use Dropboc instead.

  • Pages documents not displaying on ipad from mac

I'm trying to sync my pages documents between my mac and my ipad.  I have verified that the icloud accounts on both are the same visually via prefs > icloud, on the mac, and via settings > icloud, on the ipad.  While here I opserved that I had 4.99 GB of storage in icloud and that both devices were set up to sync everything from contacts down to documents and data.  I then tested this by creating new notes from both devices and seeing if they synced to the opposite device.  However, when I tried this with pages documents they are saved to icloud and can be viewed in my icloud account on my mac but none of them appear on my ipad.  The only thing that I can guess is that the ios pages isn't cooperating with it's counterpart because the ios version was purchased under a different apple id.

I finally broke down and rebought ios pages under the current apple id. Problem resolved

  • Getting Pages document from Mac to Pages on iPad

I have been trying to import Pages documents from my Mac to my iPad throughh iTunes and I'm having no success. I go to apps in iTunes and under file sharing Pages shows up. I click add and navigate to the file. It seems to do something but when I go to Pages on the iPad it isn't there. However in iTunes I can still copy it back to my computer from the iPad even though it couldn't be found on the iPad itself. Also I thought that the tutorial document should be visible in iTunes as well where the file sharing is but it doesn't show up either. This situation also occurs with Numbers and Keynote as well. Any ideas?

On the iPad open Pages and go to the screen where all your Pages document are... You will see a folder in the upper right. Click on that folder you should find your imported Pages document. Click on the document and it will import to Pages. The same holds true with keynote and numbers.
You can delete the document from that folder if you don't need to import it again...this will save space on your iPad.

  • How do I upload pages docs from my mac to iCloud?

How do I upload pages documents from my mac to iCloud? Is it something I have to turn on through Pages or do I drag and drop them in the cloud?  When I try to drag and drop them in the cloud, they instantaneously get downloaded to my computer.  iCloud is turned on in my preferences and I have an iCloud account.

You put them in your Dropbox folder and then open them from your Dropbox app on iOS into your iOS iWork apps. That's puts them into iCloud, including the icloud.com webpage.
That certainly is not the official solution but the official Apple is silent on how to achieve this.

  • Import pages document into iTunes

OK, how do you now get a pages document off your Mac and onto an iPad? It appears that this function had been removed. Latest iTunes and Pages for both Mac and iPad. Thanks.

Yes! Here are two screenshots as I couldn't fit all in one. (I did double check the scenario before posting to OPer to make sure it still worked.)
