Pages freeze everytime trying to save a new document.

Hi,
I have a problem with my pages.
Everytime i want to save a new document, the program becomes unresponsive.
I've tried deleting the software and reinstall it but it the same thing happen again.
i'm not sure what cause this.
Anybody know anything?

Which destination device ?
What if you use it from an other User Account ?
Oops, I forgot, are you using a registered version or the trial one for more than 30 days ?

Trying to save a new document and then "The file "lyrics project.pages-tef" couldn't be opened."

As the title says... Open Pages, Create new document, click Save, the dialog box comes up, I give it a name and select the Desktop as the destination, click OK, the dialog box disappears for about a second and then I get the above message.
No way to save the doc. I even copied the text, opened another new document, Renamed it and tried to save and same results. It's a very simple document saved in Pages format, without involving iCloud so it should be as easy as it gets. On top of that, I just want to Save. Why is it trying to Open something???
I ended up having to copy the text into an email and sending it to myself in order to copy it into a SimpleText file.
Any ideas on what might have been going wrong?
MacBook Pro 13, OSX 10.8.2, current version of Pages.

That is the iCloud version of the document as I understand it. There is a version saved on the Net for iCloud to be shared and a local version on your hard drive. One of those is currently inaccessible.

Trying to save default new document window location.

When you open up a new document (not from a template) it opens up (at least on my computer) in the upper left corner of the screen.
I would -- like -- it to open when I want it to open (bottom middle and smaller window).
What I do in other programs is open up the new document, position and size the window, then save it as a new template and set that template as the default document when opening a new document.
It isn't saving the window position. Any ideas?

After all the complaining many of us did about Pages 1 & 2 tiling new documents, they now open in the upper left if there are no other documents open. I agree, that when you set up a template, you expect new documents from it to open exactly as you saved the template. You need to leave feedback for the Pages team as ask for this. I ask not only for window position, but also window size. Every template of mine open to just one page even though most of mine are more than one page.

Easiest way with Acrobat pro, is save the Word document, then convert the document to PDF with Acrobat, rather than doing a "save as" in Word itself to PDF.
Do you have Acrobat full version or Pro?

Perhaps you are loading a template that has a text block already on it.
You might try the blank template option and set that as your go to template in your preferences

TS1702 I wish to save a multi page document sent by e mail as PDF in Pages - it only files the first page? How do I save the entire document ?

I have Pages on my iPad, which is brilliant....but when I want to save a multi page file sent to me by e mail, pages only saves the first page. How do I save the entire document?

What type of document is the file? (ie. what is the file extension for tie file?)

Prompting to save as new document when trying to save over existing document

I'm hoping someone here can help me. I'm having a problem with saving changes to PDFs. If, for example, I sign or insert pages into a PDF and attempt to save those changes (mind you these are documents which I have already created and saved locally), I receive a warning that the document name is taken (which of course it is because I am trying to save changes to an existing document) and that I must select a new one in order to save. Essentially, I am being forced to Save As when all I want to do is Save. Does anyone have any idea why thsi might be happening?

It appears to be some sort of conflict with the Windows Explorer document previewer that is causing this. Whenever I am previewing the document I am working with in the Explorer, I cannot save changes. As soon as I preview a different document, the changes can be saved without any problems. In the interest of providing further information so that a more permanent solution can be found, I am running Windows 7 and have had this problem with Acrobat 9 and X. Files are being saved locally. Unfortunately, I do not have the savvy to tell you what kind of server.

I'm really new in EIS/AIS. We are using EIS and Essbase version 9.3.1. I just created a new odbc connection to our data warehouse (Oracle in OraHome92). I tried to create a new catalog but EIS freezes. When I tried to "end task" the console, it closes and would get a message "olapbldr error". Need to know how to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Iphone 4s wifi disconnects randomly and setting page freezes when trying to enter wifi networks

After the Ios 7.0.3 update, this started happening. I'm using wifi then suddenly it disconnects from it, and when I go to scan for wifi, the setting page freezes upon touching the wifi network and it crashes. and when It doesn't lfreeze, I can't see any wifi network although the router is within 5 feet from my location. after some time the wifi comes back again for 10 minutes and then it does the same thing.

Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings, then try joining again and you should get the password prompt.

Pages Freezes when I try to edit a document

So.. I create a new document, populate it with text and photos, mask some images, etc.
I save it and email it as a PDF with no problems.
When I try to open it later in pages, it seems to open as it should, but when I try to go into it to edit text, paste new photos, etc., I get the spinning beach ball and "force quit" tells me that Pages is not responding. I'm using pages 3.0.1 and can't figure out what to do.

Hi Paul,
I've repaired permissions and reset PRAM. Occasionally, pages will open the document and operate correctly; but most of the time, not. I also removed an illustration from Illustrator CS3 which may be "unfriendly" to Pages.
Biggest change to G5 is the latest round of Apple software updates and the intel firmware update.
I'm still stumped.

CS5 Existing File, Wants To Save As New Document

We are working in CS5. When I open an existing document (either CS4 or CS5), make a change and save, ID allows wants to save as a new document. How can I change this?

Get a internet explorer error message when trying to save the exported document

I get through the export process until it asks to save the exported document and then I get an internet explorer error that tells me it is shutting down the program

Outlook freeze/restart trying to Save() current appointment (AccessViolationException)

I maintain an Outlook VSTO add-in. If the user opens an appointment window, and while it's open the sender updates the appointment, when the user closes the appointment window there's about a one in six chance Outlook will freeze, crash, and restart. It
doesn't happen every time. Debugger shows an AccessViolationException that my add-in is unable to catch.
Upon restart, users get the error, "Outlook experienced a serious problem with the '<Addin Name>' add-in. If you have seen this message multiple times, you should disable this add-in and check to see if an update is available. Do you want
to disable this add-in?"
We've seen this almost entirely on Outlook 2010. This happens with no other add-ins enabled.

Note the currentAppointment.Save() line. The debugger shows the exception there, but at runtime it's not caught.
The else-if block was added because we had issues where the user was prompted to save each appointment, even if it was unmodified.
The appointments have some UserProperty on them.
Does anyone know what's wrong here or how to troubleshoot further? I'm new to VSTO and didn't write this, so I'm not sure if the Outlook object model is being handled properly. The InspectorWrapper class appears to be from this

The Close event handler is not suitable for saving items. Try to remove or comment the following line of code:
currentAppointment.Save();
The Close method of the Inspector class accepts the OlInspectorClose enumeration which is used
to indicate the save mode. And you are trying to overwrite/change the chosen way in the code.
Also I'd suggest breaking the chain of calls and declaring each property or method on a single line of
code:
Application.ActiveInspector().CurrentItem
For example, the ActiveInspector method returns an instance of the Inspector class. Then the CurrentItem property of the Inspector class returns an instance of the
AppointmentItem class. Both objects are left alive. Instead, I'd recommend releasing them instantly. Use System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject to
release an Outlook object when you have finished using it. Then set a variable to Nothing in
Visual Basic (null in C#) to release the
reference to the object. Read more about that in the Systematically Releasing
Objects article.
Finally, always install the latest updates and service packs for Office applications.

Why does photoshop elements 12 freeze when trying to save an image for the web?

Everytime I try to save an animated GIF image for the web the whole application freezes and I have to force quit. The file sizes are small. Can someone help me with this issue?

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Adobe Indesign and Photoshop CS3 Freezing after trying to save file

Hi
I was using both Indesign and Photoshop yesterday with no trouble. Out the blue whenever I tried to either save a file or generally use any of the functionality within the File menu the dialogue box quickly appears then fades and the software freezes. Its doing this in both Indesign and Photoshop.
The IT department logged on using their administrator info and both packages appear to work fine it just seems to be once I log in using my user account. We have tried reseting preferences etc.
Any help or advice would be welcomed.

You have a stored invalid folder reference and since it can't be restored, the apsp crash on file dialogs. Have your IT department sift through the registry and clean out the relevant MRU sections.
