Pages iCloud Beta

I create a Pages doc - on iPad or another Mac.
I can see it in a browser on my Mac laptop but when I open the Pages Cloud desktop folder
all I see is the documents with Cloud icons. Click. Nothing. Right click. Nothing
Open Preferences, deselect Pages in iCloud, then reselect. Nothing
Nothing but download icons next to Document names

ALL CLEAR: There are now updates for Pages for Mac and iOS which are compatible with the iCloud Beta. They really should have done these simultaneously. UGH!

Has anyone been able to load more than 1000 Pages documents in the Pages for iCloud beta? I get a loading page that never actually loads.

That is what I thought would be the way to do it. However it seemed the only way to see the file selector window was to close the file I was working on and and then hit the pages for iCloud icon again to get the file select window. However, pages refused to reload. I was left with checking the iCloud files on the Mac. I changed the file name there. It sees to me the online and iOS versions of the program should allow for naming of the file from within the files editing window just as can be done on the mac version.
Thanks for the follow up. I guess I just need to figure out why pages for iCloud wouldn't relaod. I suspect it needs to be closed first and that must involve more than closing a window. That begs the question of how the web based program is closed.

Pages for iCloud beta did not save my changes

I'm trying to figure out how to save changes when editing documents in pages for iCloud beta as today I've lost all of the amendments I made to my coursework. I logged in to iCloud using windows PC and IE 10 at work in my lunch break to do some of my coursework. After the best part of an hour I stopped working and logged off of iCloud. Now I've signed in to my ipad and the document is saying it was last updated yesterday so, thinking its a sync problem with my iPad I have logged in to iCloud on my laptop and can see that it's not a sync problem with the iPad and that nothing I did today has saved. Does anyone have any idea where I've gone wrong and how I can ensure I don't lose any work in the future?

I have been wondering about this absence of a "save" button, too. I tested it just a while ago, editing a Numbers spreadsheet in iCloud beta, and adding a large image that I knew could not immediately be saved. I then chose [name]/Logout, and Numbers for iCloud beta warned that he document had not yet finished saving. So if you wait for the save to finish (although I saw no notification that it did, eventually the file was saved), you should have no problem. Hope it works for you.

No Pages 'Save as' dialogue in iWork for ICloud beta.

I have successfully created some Pages files in the iWork for ICloud beta. I have not saved them i.e., named the files as you do in Pages for iMac (Edit>Save). They appear as Blank 1, Blank 2, Blank 3 etc., in the Safari browser's tabs.
I know I can rename files in iCloud's 'My Document' web page. I also know iCloud will continue to track and save changes to these files.
I am a regular Pages on iMac user but cannot see where I can name the Pages file in the iCloud Beta version in the first place.

Thank you Dave. I was afraid it was something as non-intuitive as that.
Although it is relatively minor in the grand scheme of things, the drift away from simplicity with silly stuff like this won't help Apple keep ahead of the pack. Who was it said 'Any fool can make something complicated. It takes a genius to make it simple.'?

Pages for iCloud beta won't load on my MacBook Air

For about two weeks now I have not been able to open Pages for iCloud beta on my MBAir - I can open keynote and numbers beta - they load in about 2 seconds. Pages beta was slow - the average load tiime was 65 seconds...now it I just get a spinning wheel - the longest I experimented was 11 minutes and it sitll did not load. Every few days I try it again. Fortunately I can get my iCloud docs by loading my regular Pages and command-open and it I get a template asking if I want docs on my computer or in iCloud - everything loads there in a nanosecond. But the Beta is dead for me.

Pages is now working on my MacBook Air! It is much improved from the last time I was able to load - still not perfect as it is still in beta mode, but great!...I created a multimedia document on my iPhone and once again, decided to fire up the Pages beta on my MBAir.. et voilà ! it loaded in just a few seconds and there were all my documents, including the one just created! YAY!
Still needs the facility to edit anchored objects [a photo this time] - but says that is coming!

How do I add a page in pages (iCloud pages).

How do I add a page in pages, right off the bat making a document was easy but I can't figure out how to add a page. Im sure there is some super easy thing that I am missing. I would have assumed to add a page once you were in your document you could just scroll down too far or go to file new page, but in file all that shows up is the normal file commands of safari. (New file, New tab,Open file.. and so on)

Thank you for the question. It sounds like you would like to insert a new page in the document you are working on in Pages for iCloud beta. You can add a new page by creating a page break using these steps:
Add a line or page break
If you want to move text to the next line or page, you can insert a line or a page break. A line break, or a soft return, starts a new line without starting a new paragraph. A page break moves the line of text to the top of the next page.
Add a line or page break
Click where you want the text break to occur.
Do one of the following:
Add a line break: Press Shift-Return.
Add a page break: Click Insert Page Break in the Text pane.

Set defaults on a Numbers for iCloud beta spreadsheet?

Hi Everyone,
How can I set page defaults on a Numbers for iCloud beta spreadsheet? I want to have the size set to 100% and the Format panel hidden. At present I have to re-set these values everytime I re-open the file. I have loooked in help but can't see any relevant info. I'm running Mavericks.

Further to my post on April 23, I have noticed that when I save a numbers file on my Mac, all the changes I have made to things like the size, whether the format panel is visible, even the window extents etc. are all saved with the file. Of course this is what you would expect but in the iCloud Beta version there is no Save command so I assume that is why these things are not saved. Does anyone know if this is correct or if there is a work around?

Icloud beta will not open my keynote files. I get a message saying 'something went wrong'

Icloud beta has stopped opening my keynote presentations. I get a message saying 'something went wrong' This has been going on for two days now. Is anyone else getting the same problem?

Having the same problem, but its with pages not working via icloud.com using a web browser. Unable to open a previously stored document, or even open up create a new document.
I contacted icloud support and they had to send me to second level. Second level couldn't figure it out, and thought it was because I was using a pc - That can not be the problem, because It doesn't work on two different pc computers (different windows systems) And My business account is the one where I can't open or create documents via icloud.com - but I can from my ios device. But my personal icloud.com works just fine on either machine. Second level is sending the ticket up to engineering and may be 3 days before I hear an update.

Click the down-arrow next to your name in Pages for iCloud beta. Select iCloud Settings from the menu. Language can be set in the resulting screen.

Sharing history pages, iCloud tabs, etc

I recently sold my MacBook Pro and bought MacBook Air. I transferred all my data from the old one to the new one right after purchase. However, both laptops still share certain things such as history pages, iCloud pages, etc., on Safari. Is there any chance we can stop this?

I'm currently running iOS 6 Beta 3 on the 3rd gen iPad & iCloud tabs don't appear to be working. Safari does not have the cloud icon in the browser on my iPad, any suggestions? Also when browsing categories in the App Store, tapping "see all" does nothing, it does not respond. Are you experiencing any similar issues? In regards to iCloud tabs everying is switched on as it should be.

Multiple Devices on iCloud beta

When I go to the iCloud beta on iTunes it indicates that my iPhone4 can be used to download music etc from the cloud. However, I am also using a MBP and iPad and would like to use these devises to download also. How do the get iCloud to recognize these devices for download. Thanks.

I have iPhone 3G and 4G and iPad 2 2 Computers Mac Book Pro and iMac have the bundled upgraded OSX 10.6 on partitioned volume they both have a 2 Admin user accounts of different languages ( I switch back and forth) plus they also have a clean install on partitoned volume Lion OSX which also have a 2 Admin user accounts of different languages thats 8 accounts altogether so how many iTunes can we Authorize on one machine with multiple accounts at one time and now this new word associated with 90 days with ID that confuses me
I know this is a little unusual set up but Mac Book is for mobility outdoors and the Lion OSX is a test run Lion will be working with the new iCloud last month I spent hours chatting because I have always had problems with loosing music when re formatting HD and re installing OSX and re setting up my backed up iTunes music files I found the Home sharing very good because I really do not need to rely on back up.
How ever having so many accounts gives me an headache with Mobile me and iTunes hope this iCloud solves the issues all my devices are registered with me at same address so I am not breaking any rules
in accounts it is written 2 computers are authorized to play content purchased with this (my) Apple ID
then below in Manage Devices 2 devices are associated with this apple ID and can download your purchases fro iTunes in the cloud beta

I can't be the only person to find it incredibly frustrating that it seems impossible to add a comment to a cell in beta. I use this function a lot on my ipad - is it really not available in beta?? And if not, why not??

Thanks for the question. You are correct, comments are hidden from all iWork apps when imported to iWork for iCloud beta. Please note that the current release of Numbers for iCloud is a beta version. Therefore, certain features aren’t yet supported.

how do I copy a pdf document into Icloud Beta - I am new to this!

Just place your disc in and take the PDF file, drop it on the CD image. then right click and select burn disc. And there you go. It willl be saved on your disk and they should be able to open it with no problem.
