Pages, Keynote and Number apps missing from OS X Yosemite after restoring it to factory defaults
Recently my macbook pro OS X Yosemite experienced some problems, so I decided to reset it to factory defaults. Now, everything works well, except for the fact that built in apps Pages, Keynote and Numbers are missing: what can I do? The App Store says I need to pay for them again, but I clearly remember (and checked again on the apple website) that the apps were built-in and not purchased. Is there anyway I can get them back without paying for them, since I clearly already have?

If you previously associated them with an Apple ID, log in with it, click on the Purchases tab, and download them from there. This is free.
If not or you don't have access to it, click here and contact Apple.

You should be able to go > App Store > App store (menu) > store > view my account > sign in. Where do you vary after following this point. In between ID summary and Settings should be a section marked iTunes in the cloud and directly below but within that section, the message we are seeking.

I bought "Pages" "Keynote" and "Numbers" Apps for my iPad and iPhone and now I have a new iMac but the Apps didn't install? I thought when you bought an App that is on one device it would be available on all other devices? The App store is now wanting me to pay for the Apps again? Is this right? Do I have to buy another version of these Apps for the iMac?

That is determined by what type of disk that it is. It may be a disk that only allows you to install Windows on your Dell computer and would not allow Windows to be installed on a Boot Camp partitition or as a virtual machine in an app such as VirtualBox on your Mac. If that is the case, you would need to purchase a retail Windows install disk. -

day before yesterday, suddenly i got an upgrade reminder for 'pages' from the apple in my appstore account. when I clicked upgrade, it downloaded the full 'pages'.
I am wondering if apple charge me money for that. well, recently i installed new os x mavericks !

iWork doesn't seem to recognize that I already have the pages, keynote, and numbers apps so I can't use iCloud to sync my documents. How to get my apps recognized?

Playbook is missing time zones after restoring it to factory defaults
Hello,
I recently factory restored my playbook to OS version 1.0.8.6067. After the restore I've found that Canada is missing from the list of countries available under Language tab (current Language set to English). Also, pacific time sone is missing from the Time Zone section under Date & Time.
The following countries are available if the Current Language is set to English
Trinidad & Tobago
US Minor Outlying Island
US Virgin Islands
UK
US
And under the Time zone list only the following are available
Eastern TIme (-5)
Indiana (-5)
Bogota (-5)
Mexico City - Old (-6)
Mexico City - New (-6)
I've restored the device twice with the same restuls as above. Any idea what might ve going on?

UsupI have recently encountered this problem myself. To give a little background, my Playbook was on 2.0 beta and when I recently updated to the full 2.0 I was having some consistency rpoblems with some apps so I did a full secruity wipe. When my playbook came back up it only a few timezones and none of them were anywhere close to where I live. This made no sense at all.
After that I did another secruity wipe, which still did not solve the problem. Then I did a full reinstall using the debrick method using the Blackberry Desktop Software. Again, when the Playbook came back up, it still was missing the proper timezones.
I'm at my wit's end here, and my research has shown that this issue has come up before and I've never seen anyone come up with a conclusive answer on how to fix it. If anyone knows anything at all about this please share as this has rendered my Playbook useless. Manually setting the time is not acceptable because the timzeone will be wrong so any timestamps will be completely off when viewed on other machines or if I sync a calendar then appointments show up at the wrong time.
I am very frustrated but I hope there is an answer here somewhere! -

any tips???Highlight a known Word document in the Finder, highlight it & choose Get Info from the File menu. In the Get Info box, click the triangle next to "Open With." Click on this drop-down menu & choose Pages. If Pages is not a choice, choose "Other" & navigate to the Pages application. Now click the "Change" button under the text that asks if you want to open all documents like this with Pages. You can then double-click the Word documents & they will open in Pages. Note that the icon for the Word files will have a plain, white icon. Repeat with Excel/Numbers & PowerPoint/Keynote.

CC and CS6 apps missing from Application Manager CC2014
Hello everyone.
I'm desperate. I had to reinstall Adobe CC and now the Application Manager doesn't allow me to download previous versions.
No photoshop, no Illustrator, no After effects, no Indesign..
I need After effects CC so I can save projects as CS6. And I need Encore CS6 for authoring!
This is nuts, I've tried everything, uninstall, reinstall, logging out, logging in, reboot the system, switch the language, nothing works.
Is there anything I can do?? please!!

My ipad air was bought and activated AFTER September 1st (activated December 25th) and I downloaded pages, keynote and numbers. I then changed my Apple ID as the password no longer worked, These apps had to be deleted as I needed to update them. Now I cannot get the free version on my ipad. I have searched the internet to see if there is a solution, and I found a few but unfortunately none have worked. I desperately need these apps as my iPad is used for school. Is this an issue I should take up with the apple support centre or something? Please help! Thanks

Why did the app store make me purchase Pages again? I already bought Pages, Numbers and Keynote for my Ipad and want to download them onto my Mac Book and they aren't in the purchases tab. I thought I would try clicking on the buy button for Pages, thinking, it would say I already purchased this app, but it didn't. Where are all my purchases? I used the same Apple ID I use for all my Apple devices. Help! I really don't want to buy them all again.
The version of Pages, Keynote and Numbers for the Mac will be different than the iOS version and will require a separate purchase.

Hola Ricardo, si has restaurado el iphone como nuevo y sigues con el problema, yo lo llevaría a la tienda donde lo compraste para que te lo cambien por uno que funcione bien. Cuando soluciones el problema de las conexiones de red WiFi y celulares, la batería inmediatamente te empezará a funcionar mejor. Es que al no poderse conectar por ejemplo al servidor de correo electronico seguirá intentandolo y eso gasta mucha batería.

Be warned however thast Pages 5, with a few exceptions is actually a downgrade with over 90+ features removed:

Normally you have to get these from the App store. Open the App Store application in your Applications folder. Have a look at the category Apple Apps.

IWork export to Office error "The file format is invalid" in pages, keynote and numbers.
I am running iWork 09 (latest versions in all cases)*. When I try to export files from all three of the applications Pages, Keynote and Numbers into the relevant Office formats, I get the error "The file format is invalid." It works fine with PDF or RTF export.
I am able to open the same files in the iPad versions of thess iWork apps, and then export them. While this workaround will do for now, I'd like to be able to just export correctly.
Anyone have any suggestions on what might be wrong?

* Note that I needed to manually remove iWorks as the For_iWork:iWork '09:iWork9Update5.dmg.zip file wouldn't work on the latest version of iWorks. This involved deleting the iWork folders in the Applications and Library directories.
