Pages - My Templates - how do I delete

Hi
I have created a template in my templates in Pages and now wish to delete it.. Can someone help please? I have searched the help and can't find it.
Thanks

Click on the Finder icon in the Dock.
Select "Go to Folder..." from the Go Menu.
Copy the following line and Paste it into the window which appears
~/Library/Application Support/iWork/Pages/Templates/My Templates/
then press return.
A folder will open which ought to contain a file which is your template. You can drag it to the trash.

  • Lost template, have pages from template, how can I convert?

In a moment of crass stupidity, I managed to delete a template upon which several pages of a site under development are based. There was a P7 menu on the page. Fortunately, I have a couple of pages based on the template alive and well. Can someone tell me how to convert one of these pages back to the template from which it was created?
    Pages from the template are
    http://www.jdcdemo.com/pbc/greater-pine-bluff-chamber-local-apartment-list.html
    http://www.jdcdemo.com/pbc/greater-pine-bluff-chamber-community-calendar.html
The calendar page is rife with errors of which I am aware. Most are not in the template.
Can someone tell me how to proceed to recover from my dumb mistake?
    Thanks,
    Joe

Well, we have gotten a lot of looks and no answer. From another board, the first response was the correct one, to wit:
open a page created from the original (now missing) template
    - go to Modify>Templates>Detach from template.
    - save this via File>Save as template
    - create new editable regions via Insert>Template Objects>Insert  Editable Region
I took a hard look at the editable region in the file from the template, and set up and named the new editable region as a clone of the original. The pages from the template, worked just fine.

In a 'Pages' e-book, how can I delete first-line indent on every paragragh?

Use can use an intro media image. The first time the ibook is open it will start with that page. However, remember that any other time the ibook is open it will show the last page viewed. This is a behavior that can't be changed.

Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The door to the user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your users Library will appear about halfway down the list.

    Hi Lilly,
If you mean "My Templates" they are in a hidden folder.
In Finder, open the Go menu and hold down the option key (alt) in order to see the user library folder.
Open the library folder and navigate to:
    Library/Application Support/iWork/Pages/Templates/My Templates.
Select a template then drag it to the Trash (or command-delete).
Having gone to all that trouble to find that hidden folder, single click to select My Templates folder, then
Menu > File > Make Alias
An Alias folder appears. Rename it to something such as "My Templates Pages alias" then drag it out of My Templates folder to somewhere convenient (maybe the Desktop will do for now).
You can now close all those folders that you navigated through because the Alias (double click on it) is a quick way to go there again.
Repeat this process for other iWork apps such as Numbers.
Another way to manage your templates is to open one, make changes, then Save As Template with the original name of that template. The new template will replace the old one.
    Regards,
    Ian.

    Hi phase one,
Same way you delete any other file: Locate the file, select it, then do one of three things:
    Drag it to the Trash,
Go File > Move to Trash
    Press command-delete.
With Templates, the tricky part is the first step: Locate the file.
    In the Finder:
Press and hold the option (alt) key as you go to the Go menu and select Library.
From Library, open each of these folders in turm:
Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates.
Select the template file(s) you wish to remove, and move them to the Trash using one of the three methods above,
    Regards,
    Barry
PS: Files moved to the Trash can still be recovered by drgging them out of the Trash. They're not actually removed until you Empty the Trash, an item found in the Finder's Application menu (named Finder).

  • I have Lion 10.7.4.  How do I delete custom templates in Pages '09 v.4.1?

    Hello,
I have saved custom templates and then revised them and saved again.  I now have several I need to delete.  Also, how to delete custom templates?  Also, how do I delete blank pages?  I hate sending pdf's with a blank page at the end.  Thank you very much for your help!

Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. • In pages how to i delete page templates

I have created some new temlates in pages that i no longer need. How do I delete them? thx.

    Hi Jj,
The same way you delete any other files:
In the Fnder, navigate to the folder containing the file(s), select the files then either press command-delete, go File (menu) > Move to Trash, or use the mouse to drag the files to the Trash.
With templates, though, the difficult part is navigating to the folder containing the files.
It's at the end of this path:  username > Library > Application Support > iWork > Numbers > Templates > My Templates.
In Lion and Mountain Lion, you can get to your Library (from the Finder) by pressing the option key as you go to the Go menu and choose Library, then follow the rest of the path as listed above.
    Regards,
    Barry

  • How do I delete unused pages templates i created

    I have a MacBook OS 10.8.4
I have saved templates I have created to "Save as a Template" in "My Templates", many of which are no longer relevant. How do I delete them?
I read the Pages UG, and see something about creating my own folder to save mine in, but I don't find a way to delete them from Pages "My Templates"

    Hi Jerry,
That thought went through my mind, too, after your help. But ten steps? I think they would be embarrassed to put it in the UG. : D
Any way, I am so grateful for people out there like you who can help a non-techy like me. I've been using Mac since 1999, love it, but now it's getting a bit too complicated for me. That's inevitable with more sophisticated products, of course, which are totally amazing, to say nothing of the app world.
Do you remember the MS loaned exec for developing the iPhone, at the launch press conference, he said he had learned two important values at Apple: Simplicity and ease of customer use. Ah, those were the days! : )
    Thanks again, buddy!
