HI All,
Pages not displaying properly in Publisher instances as we activated the page from Author. In author it is working well but in Pulisher it is showing first 2 lines of the page and then showing error as
Apache sling/2.2 Hot Spot ****** Sun OS error
Please help me on this.IS this issue with the templates or components are we using?

Ok, then let's go the long way and try to reduce the number of possible root causes:
1) Is your problem reproducible on this publish? (I suppose it is)
2) Is it reproducible on other publishs as well, which have received the same page with the same application?
3) Can you reproduce it on other replicated pages as well?
4) When you upload a page to such an affected publish via a content package, does this page render correctly?
5) Does this problem appear on other environments as well?
6) Do you use dispatcher when you get this result? Or do you get it when you request the page directly of CQ5?
7) What's the HTTP statuscode when you render this page? You can see it in the request.log of CQ5.
If you change logging via Felix Console, you don't need to restart the instance.

Upgrade to ver 1.6 pages not displayed properly in Firefox

Hi,
I upgraded HTML DB to Ver. 1.6 today. The installation was okay, did not raise any errors, but when I use Firefox to log on to HTML DB, the pages are not displayed properly. IE is able to resolve the pages correctly.
Do I need to get a plug-in for Firefox? Ver. 1.5 was working perfectly with Firefox.

My design view won't display properly in Mozilla or IE. The images show. The CSS (core and flow) are found according to the access logs. But it doesn't display nicely at all. This was an upgrade from 1.5 to 1.6. 1.5 looked fine. My old applications from 1.5 display properly.

Web page not displaying properly - content in wrong place

It's been years since I've done html and this is the first time using Dreamweaver. All my pages have the same header then a horizontal row of link buttons. I have used Divs to create 3 sections of content underneath this. Each div has the following defined for it: #Div { position:absolute; width:913px; height:440px; z-index:1; left: 10px; top: 302px; My main page is not displaying properly. There is a section on the left with text/photo. To the right of this section, there is a second div containing an image map. In Dreamweaver, I preview the page (using Chrome) and it looks fine. However, when I upload it to the web site and then view that page in the web site, the second div is thrown to the upper top right of the page. I do not know what is causing this and how to fix it. Can anyone answer this and perhaps give me some tips?

Position:absolute is never a good way to layout your web pages. For 98% of what you do, positioning is not required and should be avoided. Learn to use CSS margins, padding and floats to align elements where desired.

View/Resolution/Font is incredibly small resulting in web pages not displaying properly (Facebook) & I can not find internet tools options or compatibility view otions

I've tried different things to adjust this problem on my laptop, but nothing is working. I uninstalled firefox because this was very irritating. I just reinstalled after being away for 2months and the problem still exists. My laptop settings are for normal display and font sizes and everything is normal when I use internet explorer, but when I use firefox...everything shrinks. When I'm on facebook using apps...it gets even smaller and app screens will not display properly. There is no internet options or compatibility view settings on this new firefox that I can find and I'm out of ideas on how to fix this.

The Firefox Page Zoom feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox.

Internet pages not displaying properly - Help

Hello. I'll have to apologise in advance because I'm not very technical! We have Mozilla Firefox and for a while now websites have not been showing correctly. To try to explain, the pages are always white with a basic font in black. Some pages also have black lines through text. Some graphics are not showing such as for example the google logo on google.com/co.uk and others such as the 'add to basket' on amazon (that type of graphic) Photos seem to be showing. Nothing is displaying quite right in terms of position on page etc. Can anybody help me solve this problem? I have searched online for hours on end to no avail, contacted internet provider with no response, cleared the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, cleared all cookies, checked page style is correct, checked Javascript is working correctly, disabled anti-viral software to see if that was the cause...none of which have had any effect at all. Anybody any ideas?

Using Windows 7 32 Bit enterprise edition and IE9. Web pages are not loading properly but it works fine in Chrome and other browsers. Followed the below steps also. It did not help. Please let me know the other steps.
1. Click Start, type in “inetcpl.cpl” and press Enter.
2. Switch to Advanced tab.
3. Select the Use
software rendering instead of GPU rendering*
4. Check if the issue has been resolved.
5. If not, please Click Reset twice under Advanced tab to reset IE settings.

Pages Not Displaying Properly In IE

I am new to Dreamweaver but am learning. I built a site using
the built-in template with header, left sidebar and footer. The
pages display properly in Firefox but in IE the left sidebar is
plastered over the left side of the main window content. It does
not start on the left side of the page. The main page is here:

There is still some content and formatting to add but I want
to figure this out first. I've tried tweaking margins both in the
body and sidebar and also tweaking page widths but nothing seems to
work.
Any help is appreciated.

I fixed the problem. Sort of. the 'position: fixed' setting
was screwing up IE7. But I'd like to have that sidebar scroll down
the screen.

Using openModal, does not display properly on first instance.

After having a good play with openModal, as per package app Bug Tracker p31, I came across an issue this morning after logging into the runtime app.
In a fresh apex session, the first open only greyed the canvas, didn't display the modal. I can click anywhere to hide the modal behaviour - but the modal will only work properly and display the canvas with "Modal region" template after refreshing the page. Repeatable after logout.
This does not happen in the bugtracker application.
The issue appears in Firefox, Chrome and IE8 - but no console errors are present.
Application Express 4.2.1.00.08, theme 25

The blog in question was newly created with all it's "How to" posts having been created within the past 24 hours. This member has then made numerous posts on the forums, in quick succession, many of which are to non-current threads, and all of which are not providing any answer, except to simply direct people to 1 or more of the posts on his new blog. Whether he's creating the posts on his blog in answer to the questions being asked on the forum or has already created the blog posts and is searching out questions that relate to them is not known. What is known is that this breaches the Terms of Use, as the forum is clearly being used as a mechanism to simply direct people to his own blog rather than it's intended use, and also the forum admin have indicated to the moderating team that linking to blogs in this way is not acceptable.

Web pages not displaying properly

I just recently acquired 2 iMac G3' for my kids. The main issue I have right now is that the webpages do not seem to display properly. The current browser is Explorer 5.1 I believe, and I realize that this is not even being supported anymore. Can I make web pages display correctly without having to update to OS X, or would that be the recommended path since it uses SAFARI as the browser. I also intend to add an additional 512M of SDRAM.

I refurbish a lot of iMacs and used to use OS 9 on my Beige G3.
I had to move to OS 10.3.9 and 10.4.9 just because of the problem you are talking about. I also found IE 5 to be a pain.
I now use FireFox and it works fine.
First do the FirmWare upgrade while you're still in OS 9:

Yes moving to 512 MBs of memory is a very good idea.
I have 2 iMacs for my 7 & 8 year olds (pink for my daughter) both running 10.3.9, ~ 512 MB memory and 20 GB hds.
They've been running for 2 years no problem. One with Maple Story which only runs on a PC so I have a P IV Vaio running XP Pro. Have had to reinstall the OS once already in 1 month and just now he's asking for me to look at it again.

Page not displaying properly

I think I really messed up my router page. It kept dropping my internet connection multiple times daily, so with a little research I found out I can upgrade firmware (I am seriously router illiterate!) so I went to the linksys site, and downloaded the lasted firmware, went back to the router site, and loaded it in. A big red warning says to not shut off power or interupt upgrade, so I sat back to wait, when my page automatically refreshed into a 'page cannot be displayed' error. I waited a few more minutes, then my internet came back, I go back to the router site to check if the upgrade went through (it did) but the page is missing all text and clickable items. I can access the boxes that tells me what router I have, IP address (and some other numbers) but all of the information that used to be listed on the left hand side is gone, and there's no tabs anymore for me to access anything else. Is this fixable? I always manage to ruin things without even doing anything! lol

Since you have upgraded the firmware on your router, you need to Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

Many websites are not displayed properly, overlapping words etc., can I adjust the browser settings?

Lots of sites do not appear properly, ie words and characters overlap, pop ups not complete.

Reset the page zoom on websites that look wrong: "View > Zoom > Reset" (Ctrl + 0 (zero))

If you increased the minimum font size then try a lower setting (default is none) as a too high value can cause issues like you described.

Since about Nov 20 my Hotmail is not displayed correctly and is broekn in pieces across the page.

After logging in, my hotmail site is not loading correctly. The contents are scrambled and everything is packed against the left side of the page. I cannot see many of the items and it seems that one of the plugins is not working.

* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Home, SourceForge Site, Documentation, etc are links that should take you somewhere else. It does not when using Safari. It works OK with Firefox.
Is it a problem with Safari or a problem with the web site?

I went back to the site and scrolled all the way down and I saw that they display the logos for W3C HTML 1.0 and for W3C CSS.
When you click on the logo for W3C HTML it goes to a web site that validates the html encoding and it just issued two warnings.
When you click on the logo for W3C CSS you can have the CSS coding validated too.
There were some warnings but it passed.
Might the problem be with Safari?

Xsql pages not displaying properly

Hi,
I have downloaded & installed the XSQL Servlet as mentioned in the document. I have apache web server with apache jserv. Also I have the access DB & for the example (helloworld.xsql) below am using "Student" data source name & "Contact" table name. I get a blank page when I view the example on IE 5.0. I have given below the XSQLConfig.xml, helloworld.xsql & the html files(when viewed on the browser). Can anybody tell me what the problem could be?

Fonts not displaying properly in Creative Cloud files

I just noticed that fonts are not displaying properly in my Creative Cloud files. The strange thing is, they continue to display correctly in files I uploaded prior to release - it's just in files I upload now that the fonts are reverting to some generic display font.
For reference, here is a file uploaded before release:

The display problem also applies to downloads of the newer file as a JPG, PNG or PDF, although the fonts are still present in the downloaded original file. With the older uploaded file, download as PDF is not available (presumably because this was a release feature), but download as JPG and PNG outputs a file with the correct fonts intact.
This is a serious problem, because it makes previews inaccurate as well as making the download feature almost useless. Was it perhaps an unintended side-effect of turning on download as PDF?

On a related topic, here's another Illustrator file with fonts displaying incorrectly, but this time it also has problems with the download links - the options for PNG, JPG and PDF do not appear at all.
