Pages not loading, suddenly today, status bar at bottom of page has red "J" for Java and I cannot figure out why or what to do

After using Firefox successfully for months, it started not loading full pages today, but showing "done" in the status bar at the bottom. I also noticed icons for Javascript, Java, Silverlight, etc., on the right side of status bar, JAVA one is red, but I don't know what that means.

Is that a 404? If yes, then check if you do not have the Export Page option disabled for the page in question in the context menu in Plan/Design mode. If that is not the case, then a URL would help in identifying the issue.

Problem with LR5 Import on MAC, it always shows "file cannot be imported because it could not be read" This happens with file downloads from the memory card as well as with files from the hard drive. Happened out of the blue and I cannot figure out why. P

I have "hidden" my devices/USB access and now cannot figure out how to get them back on so I can re-access the USB files. How do I do this? (Is it just me, or should this be a reasonably simple task that shoul NOT require a post to the Apple community?)

Well, you have also "hidden" what version of OS X you are using from anyone who might want to help you.
You are probably using a newer version than I am, but I don't know that these things have changed.
In the Finder, from the Finder menu > Preferences …, there should be a Sidebar pane to choose what is visible.
Also in the Finder, Go menu > Computer (or type Shift Command C) will open a Finder window with any attached volumes showing.

Slideshow not working correctly on my site. cannot figure out why.

I cannot seem to figure out why this slideshow is not working Its working in Muse and the assetts are fine as well. This started after I edited some content in the BC CMS. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Try this.
Type in the address bar about:config.
Accept the warning.
In the page that appears, in the Filter box, type network.http.max-connections. Change the value to 32 (which is probably set to 256 in your case).
Close that page. Restart the browser.

My phone is not listed on the itunes device sidebar when I plug in with the usb cord ... cant figure out why.... did just update macbook pro to snow leopard though?

Cannot figure out why service could not be activated

am trying to deploy and use a web part developed in SP2010 that requires connecting from a SP2010 server to a SQL server. I get the following error (greatly abbreviated):
The requested service, '[blocked; this is not what it says on the error]//_vti_bin/PSI/Lists.svc', could not be activated. See the server's diagnostic trace logs for more information.
I saw nothing in the logs from ".../14/logs/" that could tell me anything. When I check the Lists.svc at that location in IIS, it brings up an error page, noting that the config file could not be accessed due to not having permission. In fact,
when I added the "_vti_bin" folder as a Virtual Directory, it gave me the warning
The server is configured to use pass-through authentication with a built-in account to access the specified physical path. However, IIS Manager cannot verify whether the built-in account has access. Make sure that the application pool identity has Read
access to the physical path. If this server is joined to a domain, and the application pool identity is NetworkService or LocalSystem, verify that \$ has Read access to the physical path. Then test these settings again.
So what are the errors, and how do I fix the configuration errors?

HI Chris,I assume that the errors are mostly related to the permission issue.Try changing the Apppool identity with the user credentials which has full control on the site.

Are you in full screen mode? Press F11 and see if that fixes it.

I purchased a new hp Officejet 4620 wireless printer about 10 days ago. I followed the directions with installing it and it worked great. I did not use it until yesterday. I was not able to print from the wireless printer. How do I correct this issue?

I just downloaded V. 4, and I cannot figure out a way to delete or uninstall my search bar. I never use it, and I'd like to clean up my screen a bit, but I just cannot figure it out. This is driving me nuts. Any help?

Hello Macchiavell, it works the same as in FF3:
Right-click the menu bar, select '''Customize''', you get a box of icons.
First, check the box '''Use small icons'''. This saves a few pixels of screen height.
Hover the mouse over the menu bar, and the cursor will change to a hand symbol.
Drag the bits that you don't want into the box.
While you're there, you can consolidate the two bars into one by dragging the items in the lower bar up to the upper one until it is empty. then right-click the menu bar and uncheck the empty one. This saves a further 20 more pixels of screen height.

The text descender padding is space added by the browser to allow room for things like lower case j's or g's so they don't overlap the bottom of the element they're in or line up weirdly with images mixed in.
By default, an image mixed in with text will line up with the bottom of the v in the lowercase y, rather than with the bottom of the y's leg (which would look strange). The padding is added automatically by the browser so the alignment looks natural.
Normally you won't notice the padding much, it just happens that you have a black image in a space with a purple background (the <a> tag with the purple background). When you turn off the padding by telling the browser that the image is not mixed with text (display:block) the background is hidden.

There's several ways to get access to your documents.
You can email them to yourself from where ever they are presently.
You can use iTunes file sharing to copy the files into the file sharing area of Pages in iTunes.
You can turn on iCloud and go to iCloud.com on your computer to copy files into iCloud which will then copy them to your iPhone.
If you have Pages on your computer you can turn on iCloud on your computer and your iPhone and select those documents to keep synced between the two devices.

I have made my entire Macbook Pro desktop larger. The dock doesn't show along with the tool bar at the same time. There's no room. I cannot figure out what I did, so cannot undo this huge screen. Any suggestions?
