Pages or word preloaded on macbook air?

Does Pages or MS Word come with the Macbook air 11"? I could swear the rep who helped me said that they both did, yet I can't find them anywhere.

From the Mac App Store. It's in your Dock and Applications folder as App Store.

I purchased keynote, numbers, and pages when i bought my macbook air in late september. the december update will not load because it says i do not own the software and returns an error messgae 100. i have read manuals and looked over the web but i cannot figure out how to get this software update to identify that i do own these three pieces of software. they are installed and usable. any ideas would be appreciated before i call apple support.
This is my first mac so i am still learning...
    thanks

First, make sure you are logged into the App Store with the same AppleID that you used to purchase the apps.
If that is not it, look in the App Store under Purchases. Are they there?
If not, go into your account in App Store and click the link to show hidden purchases.
If they are still not there, use the support link in the App Store.
If they do show up, copy all the apps to an external drive, then remove them from your Mac. Go to the App Store, Purchases, and install from there.

  • How can I use the F11 short cut to go to next field in Microsoft Word 2011 on Macbook Air

How can I use the F11 short cut to go to next field in Microsoft Word 2011 on Macbook Air?

The default setting for the function keys is that they do OS X functions.
To get a regular function hold the fn key and then press the function key.
This action can be reversed in keyboard preferences.

  • Why has iCloud stopped working with Pages 5.1 on my MacBook Air?

    Hi all,
Since upgrading to Pages 5.1 on my MacBook Air, the option to open or save documents to iCloud has vanished. The iCloud sync is working fine on my iPad and iPhone, but I can't even see my iCloud documents and folders. Before, I used to have an iCloud button on the "Open File" dialog, but that's not there any more. I've attached a screenshot of the dialog.
I've tried signing out of iCloud on the MacBook, removing the Mobile Documents folder, and signing back into iCloud again, but Pages stays the same. I should add that Numbers seems to have the same problem, but other iCloud features all seem to be working ok.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is it even a problem, or am I just being dense? For reference, I'm using Mavericks (OS X 10.9.1 13B42) and the latest version of iWork.
Thanks for any help you can give,
    Matt

Sorry folks, as soon as I posted, the answer posted here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23300934#23300934 solved my problem.

  • I have downloaded Microsoft Word on my Macbook Air

I have downloaded Microsoft Word on my Macbook Air and when I delete a document on there it does not seem to go away. The next time I open word the document seems to still be there but I cannot open it either. Is there a way to get rid of it all together?

Are you saying you actually delete the document on the Mac but it still appears in Word's list of recently accessed documents?
That is the way Word works.  It works this way on Windows machines as well as Macs.

  • How to open pages documents in icloud on macbook air

I have pages on my IPhone, IPad and new MacBook Air.  I have confirmed that my Pages documents are all in iCloud.  However, I dont know how to find them from the Pages app on my MacBook Air.  Any help?

You need to be using Mountain Lion to automatically have documents in iCloud visible on your Mac. You can go to iCloud.com in a web browser & download the files in an earlier OS.

  • Canon mg6150 printer won't print with word on my macbook air

    Hi
I have a Macbook air and my printer is a canon 6150.
When I go to print it doesn't always print out properly when I am using word and adobe pdf files. It seems to print ok when I open documents in preview.
I have been on the phone to canon and reinstalled the printer drivers and tested the printer by doing a colour copy and printing on my phone. Both of these work. As these work the cannon dude says its something to do with the setting in my computer rather than an issue with the printer.
    What do I do now?
    Thanks

    Hi there ecolove,
I would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps for printer issues found in the article below.

  • Downloading pages to an ipad or macbook air

I already have pages on my iMac. Is there a version which will work on an iPad and/or Macbook Air?  Can it be downloaded or do I need a separate/external cd drive?

Pages for Mac & Pages for iOS are two separate programs. If you bought Pages for your iMac from the Mac App Store, you can download it on your MacBook Air using the same Apple ID for no extra charge. Pages for iOS is purchased separately from the iTunes Store.

  • I have pages down loaded on my MacBook air do I have to buy it for my iPhone and iPad

I have pages installed on my MacBook air do I have to buy
It separately for my iPhone and iPad ?

The Versions for iPhone and iPad are different to the version on your Mac... So... YES...
iOs as opposed to OS X

  • Pages won't install on MacBook Air

I have purchased Pages.  The app store keeps giving me the error "try downloading in Purchases"  In Purchases I recieve the note "an error has occured."

    I had a similar problem.
After 3 attempts, and almost 16Gb of download, I went to my local Apple Store and had them put the Mavericks installer on a USB stick.

  • HT1199 Hi. I've got an issue with Pages running on Mavericks on Macbook air. Every time I open the app it hangs right there and I can't do anything on it. I've uninstall and install it back again but the issue still persists. Any help please?

HI. I've got an issue with Pages running on Mavericks. Everytime I open it up it just hangs right there and I can't do anything with it. I've deleted the app and installed it back again but the problem sitll persists. Any help please?

Thank you so much for helping,
But i really wonder how you did that. did you always switch between design view and preview view, then change the key position for 2px then switch back, to align the four letters? because i imagine that can get really frustrating, if you have a logo consisting of 58 parts instead of 4!:)
Anyway thank you very much for your time and effort!!!!

  • How do I download Microsoft word on a Macbook air?

How do I download Microsoft Word?

Have you purchased Microsoft Word yet?  If so, download it from the media you purchased it from.
If you haven't purchased it yet, buy and download it from here:
    http://www.microsoftstore.com
I don't know if you will be able to purchase Word without the rest of Office.

  • How to download word in macbook air ?

how  can i to download word into a macbook air ?

OK, I thought it was since there are often offers of Office for educators, etc, at reduced prices.  And when I bought my MBP they offered to install Office.
I have switched to Pages and Keynotes anyway now.

  • MacBook Air + Microsoft Word + Track Changes = nightmare

I work part-time as an editor.  I use Microsoft Word on my MacBook Air and while I love my Mac for a million other things, it absolutely ***** when it comes to using Microsoft Word in Track Changes mode.  After just a little editing, the program crashes.  It's constant, it's regular, and it's a total nightmare.  How can I best get around this problem without having to use a PC to do my editing?

I'd recommend reinstalling Office, then. I use Word of Mac '11 (same version) without any issues working with track changes. I will say that it can sometimes be a bit sluggish (the application) as the document ages and the amount of changes that occur but never once has the application locked up entirely, crashed or quit on me.
