Pages palette view is messed up

I lost my floating palettes, so I reverted to default workspace. Now my Pages palette is messed up. The page spread icons bleed off the right side of the palette and the icons at the bottom are missing (trash can, etc.) I tried changing the icon size and have restarted computer. Nothing helped. Ideas? Of course i am on deadline and this is driving me crazy.
I am on Mac CS2, OS 10.4.11.

The best way to delete your preferences is to quit InDesign. Then relaunch and IMMEDIATELY hold down Cmd + Ctrl + Shift + Option. When prompted, select Restore Preferences.

Document page numbers in pages palette?

I just jumped from CS to CS5. I work in magazine spreads most of the time and would like the pages palette to reflect my document page numbering. All I can get it to show is 1, 2, 3, etc. with 1 starting on the LEFT page of the thumbnail spread, whereas the my document spreads always start on EVEN-numbered (left) pages. I have no trouble numbering the document itself any way I want, it's just the palette. Was not a problem in CS, it always showed my document page numbers below the thumbs. Is there a menu setting I am not finding?

Can you post a screen capture of your Pages Panel (they officially became panels instead of palettes in CS4, or maybe CS3)? Use the little camera icon on the web screen to embed it in your post.
The only things that's changed significantly about the Pages Panel/Palette is the addition of page thumbnails, so if you aren't seeing page numbers that match the numbers assigned (if you are viewing section numbering rather than absolute numbering -- a preference choice), then there is something wrong with the program. The first step with oddities like this is to Replace Your Preferences

Pages Palette Problem

Hi all.
I opened InDesign CS2 the other day and encountered this strange look to the pages palette. THough I've reset the workspace to default, changed my screen resolution, played with the Palette options, I can't get the palette to resize so I can see all the pages in the document. I usually have it set vertical. The pages icons are way off to the right at the edge of the box. I usually can't see the 2nd page in the spread.
Anyone have an idea what this is doing and how to fix it?

Also, I see this problem occur when I put the pages panel (no longer called palette since CS3 on) on a second monitor. Is that the situation with you?

Can someone help me, I'm trying to get my page icons to appear on the page palette. I just updated InDesign, now my file is messed up!

Empty panels are usually a symptom of corrupt preferences. See Replace Your Preferences

Pages Palette snapping closed

I have had this problem previously that has been fixed by deleting my cache and preferences. I tried also saving the file out as an .inx with no luck! Any other suggestions?
Basically this is the problem:
Open a indd CS4 file and the pages palette snapps closed when I try to click on it to do anything - Enlarge the preview, view the page thumnail icons or the master page icons.
All icons at the bottom of the pages palette as well as the scroll bar on the side of the pages palette is also missing.
I'll upload a screen shot as of the pages palette.

Where is the data palette view?

We are using the Ellipse come along with Weblogic Portal 10.3.2 for a new project development.
We are unable to find the data palette view which is the very useful feature provided by previous Workshop.

Data palette displays the all the variables the JSP page can use and devleopers just need to drag the variable into JSP instead now to type manfully like ${pageContext.request.requestURI}

I should also add that you will need to make sure the JSP is opened with the "Web Page Editor". There are multiple editors that can be used to edit a page (Eclipse has a "JSP Editor" and a "Text Editor" associated to JSP files as well). The Palette view in the "Web Page Editor" contains the "Data Palette" you are looking for. It will display page variables and managed beans (for JSF) that you will be able to drag and drop. OEPE also has content assist support that should help with writing EL expressions as in your example.

ID CS6 - Page Palette - "letter v"? How do I get rid of?

I am sure it has something to do with alternate layout (which I have never used) but recently in my page palette it now says "letter v".
How do I get rid of this? How did it get there?

You can still view vertically if you like (though it's a waste of panel space). The important thing is to open the Pages panel menu and go to View Pages and UNcheck by alternate layout.

Page palette appears to be very strange in Indesign (and don't know how to fix it)

So one day, my Page Palette just went cuckoo in Indesign.The bottom area, where you can normally delete, add, or shows you how many pages there are, or the very lower right scretch corner are all missing. I've tried to go to Palette options and see it is a "View" issue, but nothing seems to bring those functions back.
This could either be something Very simple and I am an idiot, or it is something alot more major, which I am praying it's not.

Replace your preferences. This link is for CS4, and it looks like you have CS2, but the information is basically the same. Read the whole page.

Bug in Page source view

In Page Source view in 32-bit Firefox 3.6 under Windows, if there is a URL in the source code that is erroneously not closed with a quote, for example:
<a href="http://mozilla.com>The Mozilla' site</a>
(Note absence of quote after .com)
And you reload the source view, it loads the source of the page in the URL instead.
In normal page view, leaving off the quote will cause the link not to be displayed, so it is a common reason to open source view and try to identify the problem.

You can disable the context highlighting if you find that distracting. In this case it should make noticing that something is wrong more easily though. A link starts with a quote and ends with a quote and everything between the two is considered the link. If the second quote is omitted then it is the choice of the developer on how to deal with it. Either not to interpret the text in between (you may even have forgotten to HTML escape some characters &quote; &lt;) or try to catch up in case you forgot a closing quote. Both can have their disadvantages in case of an error from you.

Adding a link to another page in View Mode using Destination URI

I have the Search items page in iProcurement, and the Supplier Name is a text field in the search results region. Now I want to display the Supplier Name as a link, clicking on which the user should be taken to the corresponding Supplier details page in View Mode.
Is this something that can be done through personalisation, as in without extending the controller etc. I tried by giving the url of the supplier page in the Destination URI of Supplier Name, and it navigates to the supplier page, but how do I implement the functionality of querying the details of the Supplier in context. That is, what is the url that needs to be used, and what are the parameters that need to be passed etc? What is the approach to implement such a functionality. I have done OAF development, but havent done any personalisation.

I have a custom inventory report where I have a header region with the From Date and To Date column. The user enters these two dates and the data is displayed in the Table region between these two dates. Then in the item column I have a URL link which takes us to the Detail page. I need to pass the item number and the From Date and To Date in that link so the where clause can be set for the detail query. The attribute value for the item passes fine but I do not know how to pass the value for the dates. My URL looks like as below. I have tried different ways as mentioned in metalink or google search but no luck. Tried to capture the value also and it shows as the value as ‘$FromDate’.

Acrobat X: Option to hide the dotted line in between pages when viewing in 2 page view?

Acrobat X: Anyone know if there is an option to hide the dotted line in between pages when viewing in 2 page view? So that the 2 pages can look seemlessly joined, with no gap and no dotted line? This would be useful when viewing PDF magazines or books in which 2 pages join for a larger picture.

Create a Page 0 item which will be available on all pages.OMG yes I can use items in page 0 ! I should have think of that :/ Shame on me.
Application item values can be set from JavaScript using AJAX and an On-Demand Process.Yes I already tried ajax with ODP, my getappitem() function works but my setappitem() function won't assign value to application item, but it's not a problem now, I removed the ajax part and I will use page items :D

Truncated (incomplete) Page-Thumbnail View (6.03)

On my Windows XP 64 machine that is running two 1920x1200 monitors via NVIDIA Quadro FX 4600 with the latest drivers I am having the following problem: in both Acrobat and InDesign the page thumbnail views do not show all of the thumbnail whatever the settings or the proportions of the view. E.g., in InDesign the bottom portions of the thumbnails is not visible and the scroll bar not shown with Show Vertically on in Options and the slides on the right of the window are not shown with Show Vertically off.
This is most inconvenient as I am having to resize the window every time I want to find the missing slides.
Anyone else is seeing this and what might be the reason/remedy?

I don't see that the behavior you describe in the ID pages panel is related to a bug in how Acrobat displays page thumbnails. I seriously doubt that the two are using any code in common, and you describe truncated thumbnails, while the referenced thread describes thumbnails as completely omitted.
If your point was that there might be a bug in ID that is causing your problem, it doesn't seem likely as it hasn't been reported here previously that I can recall, and a problem with the display of the pages panel would have generated a LOT of comment by now. Try replacing your preferences or udating the video driver.

Palette view not showing the contents of palette set

I am new in the community, so "Hi everybody!" and thanks for your help
My problem: I have a scientific camera that has its own drivers and VI's for Labview. I have installed the camera properly, and I have already created a folder and copied the .llb archives on it.
When I open any of the examples to start working with it, I can see in the palette view, in the user controls, my folder. But inside the folder there is nothing. I can not find the llb's or VI's that I expected.
I have tried to go to Advanced/Edit Palette Set, but I don't know what to do, because I can find there all the .llb and VI's. so it seems that everything is correct. But it is not, because I can't see any of them in the normal palette view.
Can sby tell me what am I mising? There should be sth that I haven't done correctly, but I don't know what.

Hey, welcome to the forums
The sets of Vis and llbs for your camera are known as an Instrument Driver. You have to extract these to a specific location so that LabVIEW can update the pallet sets using .mnu files included in the driver files.
The location is C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2014\instr.lib\
Try moving your files there and then restarting LabVIEW.
