Pages referencing feature

Hi does anyone know if pages has a referencing feature, I am doing an assignment for uni and need to referencemy work, I have done this before easily in word but cannot find the feature on pages. Also are there any other features I may be missing out on by changing to pages instead of word? Any help would be appreciated.

The application EndNote® X5 is a third party application that integrate with Pages.
I can't advise on MS Word as I don't use it.

Need more clarification on Page navigation in Oracle ADF Mobile and How to add add a AMX page in feature (beginner)

i am an android app developer and new to ADF Mobile , so there are some doubts on Navigation through pages and mapping the new AMX page to features.
Steps i have followed
1. i have created an project using Mobile Application (ADF)
2. right clicking on ViewController , i have added AMX page and added some componets
Now i just want to show this page while executing this application in mobile. i have added this page path in to feature also but i am getting a blank screen.
please give me solution or give me a good example or any link which will help out.
i have added a button in the first screen and i want to go to next screen if the user press it. i know that task flow will help to achieve this but how i will add this with page. i am bit confused on those topics.

The following is from one of the sample portlets (comments incl):
Display the content of the portlet in the show mode.
Use the wwui_api_portlet.portlet_text() API when generating the content of the portlet so that the output uses the portlet CSS.

I assume this is what you are looking for--the level would be the Portlet Text level, and you could substitute a parameter.

How do I get a page turn feature on page

I have been asked to put a page turn feature on a page whereas the bottom left corner is peeled back a little and the user can click on it to flick to the next page.
Please can someone tell me if this is simple to achieve and direct me to some kind of method or tutorial.......

Change/set page size - feature missing

Since I'm using iCloud and iWork on the web 90% of the time and often create new documents I would need to use A4 instead of the letter size. BUT, iWork beta always makes new docs in the Letter page size. The only way to get it to be A4 is to change it on iOS or Mac (which then syncs back).
Please release a fix/feature.

Did you change your OS to a 64-bit version and is your print driver in sync with your OS?

A wish list of Pages.app features-- anyone have work arounds?

I'm trying to stop needing Word altogether. It is bloated, crashes, and well, a micro$oft program...
I LOVE pages '08. Particularly the tracking changes, and the entire look and feel of the application. A big plus for me (as a writer) is the ability to highlight in TONS of different colors. But it seems to be lacking a couple things that I really wish it had. Maybe I'm missing something though.
* The ability to have continuous page view-- just text and no page images breaks.
* the ability to pull the text color and highlight color boxes out from the menu for easy access when needed? I don't see them anywhere in the inspector?
* different menu bars for different tasks-- word processing, drawing etc? I don't need all the drawing stuff when I'm just writing.
* automatic saving at a specified time interval? I don't think it has this feature, so I am trying to remember to save often, but even the saving seems slightly slower than Word (although everything else is speedier).
* the ability to "save as" a word .doc--instead of having to export to word? I don't think this is an option right now which is curious to me. In the "save as" dialog box it would be nice if one of the options was "save a copy as .doc" or ".rtf" Maybe there is a hack or pluggin for this?

You can't have what I call a "toilet paper roll" view in Pages, where the text is continuous, without a break. Pages uses a page metaphor, and will always show separate pages.
Highlight a group of words, click on the Text inspector > More, then check the Character Fill box. Choose your color. You can have this open all the time for easy access. You can also have multiple inspectors open, if you've got the screen space, so you won't have to change away from this view.
Pages already gives you a different Format bar, depending on whether you're in Word Processing or Page Layout mode. But, as with the previous answer, you can always have your Text inspector open for WP documents, and Graphic inspector open for PL files.
No automatic saving. This is a much-discussed omission in the program. Personally, I've never needed it and never wanted it. My writing is important to me, so I've just trained myself to hit command-S every couple of paragraphs.
No love here. You can't "save as" a .doc file. You have to go through the Export process. It's a pain. It would be nice if Pages would look at a doc's current saved state, and save as that. But it always wants to save as a Pages doc. No way around it that I know. This is also a much-lamented "feature."

IOS Pages - outline feature doesn't "just work"

The outline feature in Pages on iPhone doesn't allow continuation of numbering.
What should be like this:
I. Main point
A.
B.
II. Main point
A.
B.
Looks like this:
I. Main point
A.
B.

Every main and sub point restarts the numbering no matter how many levels deep you go. It reverts to I. or A. Or 1.
Has anyone figured out how to make this work?

you can get the remote app back BUT There is no way to do it unless you want to break apples TOS.

PDF Page Flip Feature Request

Flip books have become popular over the past years and I would like to see the ability to flip through pdf's with a page turn option. This could be a view with a one page or two page layout. This functionality would not have to have the robust rendering that a true Flash page flip book has but just an animated quick flip, much like you see on common book readers. I know this is a small thing but it makes a big difference in perception when one is scrolling through a PDF verses reading through it like a book. Is this feature a current consideration?

+1 For that Feature Request . Everybody will be happy to see pdf contents in ''page flip" mode (except Adobe programmers).

Pages' Missing Features

I think there's still a number of features that make Pages for iPad inferior to using a word processor (say, OpenOffice) on a netbook, which is disappointing because I'd really love to get rid of my netbook and just use my iPad and external keyboard.
Key missing features: word count (I know you've heard that before); command-i/u/b for italics, underline, and bold; some way to resize text on the screen without changing the font, ala OpenOffice showing the document at 150% or whatever. (Documents 2 Go does this with pinch-and-zoom and reflow. Pages does not reflow the text to fit the screen when you zoom in, so you can't actually work with it.)
Another important feature I'd like to see, that both Documents 2 Go and QuickOffice have, is integration with document syncing services like DropBox. That's actually a huge thing; on my netbook, dropbox syncs my files every time I save automatically, without me having to think about it, while currently on pages I have to drag the files onto my computer with iTunes, which is night and day in terms of ease-of-use.
Finally, if you could include OpenOffice open document compatibility, that would be amazing.
Right now, Pages still has a superior writing experience to Documents 2 Go and QuickOffice, despite D2G's latest update. If you included the above features you would kill the competition completely and make it so that the iPad could be a real word processing replacement device.

Diadem REPORT Page tab feature

I just wanted to point out an annoying bug/feature of Diadem 10. not sure if it is older versions or not. When there are more pages or worksheets in a REPORT than your screen is wide, the issue appears. When you want to select a different page to view and the tab is split by the edge of the screen here is what happens.
say I want to select the split page named Page 3, where Page 1 and 2 tabs are fully visible, but Page 4 and 5 are not shown at all. I click on the split page tab for Page 3, the screen refreshes and the new Report Page is shown. I expect Page 3, the one I clicked on, to be shown. This is not the case. Page 4 is actually shown and now Page 3 tab is fully visible and the Page 5 tab is split by the edge.
The Report should not skip the page I selected to go to the next one, but should go to the actual page I clicked on.
Hope it get fixed in the next version or patch release as it is a slight annoyance. BTW, would it be possible to program it to allow a drag and drop rearrangement feature for the tabs? Okay, I will shut up now. Thanks!

following your description, I could understand what you mean. I found that you can prevent this effect by clicking on the very left of the respective tab. Maybe this helps you as a workaround.
I will inform R&D about this issue but I cannot promise that a fix will make it into the next release.
Concerning the reordering of the tabs, I will file a product suggestion.

Hi,
Usually I separate page layout and publishing page into two different modules. Then you deploy first the page layout module to ensure that SP will create the aspx file. After that the second module lets SP to apply the existing page layout to your publishing
page.
It's just an idea. I am not 100% sure. Let me know.

Deprecated Pages / Keynote features

Looking at the new update for iWork, I'm frustrated that features appear to have been deprecated, without any notification to the users that these changes would take place.
For example, Pages no longer offers word processing and page layout (and some of their best templates are gone - like Symphony)
Keynote no longer allows you to change a slides template, only the theme.
I get and appriciate the simplicity, but not feeling cool about the changes without work arounds.
Am I missing something?
Also, an aside, my MAcBook air is SLOWER in all activity then before the update

If you are refering to iWork 09 applications, they are contained in the iWork 09 folder in the Applications folder.

Boss wants the page-turning look - does Adobe have a plug-in for Flash CS4 or what would you recommend?

No full-page zoom feature

Today I downloaded Safari 4. Supposedly, I should be seeing an icon for "full page zoom" - but don't.
Why would I be missing this ?

That's not possible in windows. However, I've tried to edit com.apple.Safari.plist by hand but can not get it wo function properly. If you look in your com.apple.Safari file does it say:

or
<key>WebKitDebugFullPageZoomPreferenceKey</key>
</true>
Also, where is it in the file? In the beginning of the webkit declarations or in the end?
