Pages run from Local JDEV is showing the DEV instance login

Hi,
When I run the page from my local jdev it is showing me the DEV instance login page.
Not sure why..I have been using the JDEV for the develpoment of custom application (OA) since last 8 months.
This is the first time I am getting this problem.

Have you renamed your system recently? This happens because the properties file may still have old system name, the problem should be resolved by deleting system folder.Also please make sure that your system name should not have null spaces, i remember this problem with jdev 9i.

This makes no sense. You don't configure a listener nor a tnsnames.ora "in a database".   I hope this is just a language issue and not reflective of a fundamental misunderstanding of how tns works.

By design, the report will not show the images, will not apply imported css or javascript files and will not show framesets. Also, in the case that an image is shown there is no guarantee that that was the image that was seen when recording/playback the script.
The rendered html pages that are shown in the report only contains the structure of the html page. If an image is shown the image will be a reference to the location of the image and not a saved copy of the image as part of the report. If the website has a simple structure this can give an idea of what was different. If the website relies extensively on images, stylesheets or javascript to present the information then this report feature becomes less useful.
Few weeks ago I requested a feature request in order to be able to see in the report the page exactly as it was when recording the script and exactly as it was when the script was played back. In the way that the feature request was written it specifies the use of screen captures or saving the page as a pdf file.

Import.py runs fine locally, but fails on the remote server

I have the following import.py file (from The Definitive Guide to SOA Oracle Service Bus), which I am calling from an ANT script. It runs fine when I include the parameters for the server running on my machine, but when I change the params to our test server, it connects to the server, but can't create a session. I will include the output of both runs as well. The test server runs on a cluster. Does that make a difference?

Just installed os x maverick and updated my version of pages now when I try to open a document stored in pages format from old version get message "The Application "pages" can't be opened -1712 What is wrong?

Just updated to new version of pages. Now can not open stored documents created under al pages. Get message "the application pages can' be opened -1712" hat do I do?

Apple released Pages 5.0 to run on Maverics only. They completely rewrote the program for Maverics and 64 bit compatibility. They failed to explain that this version is missing much of the previous version's capability and that it cannot read older Pages files. When they install it they leave the older Pages 4.3 in place because it is the only way to read the older Pages files and upgrade them to a level that can be read by Pages 5!
If you still have Pages 4.3 on your computer it will tell you what to do. If you do not then go into your backups and retrieve it.
Because of the deficiences of Pages 5 I have removed it from my Mac and gone back to working with Pages 4.3. I have also removed Pages 2 from my iPad and found Pages 1.7 in the Time Machinew backups and brought it forward and droped it onto the iTunes icon to restore it and then synced the iPad to get the Pages 1.7 running again - it is compatible with Pages 4.3 on the Mac so all is back to normal for me.
Apple say that they will fix many of the deficiences in Pages 5 in the next six months. I suggest you wait until then and keep an eye on these communities beforte considering the "upgrade".
Incedentaly Pages 5.0 writes files that cannot be read by anything else including Pages 4.3 - better hope no one sends you one! It does not save RTF either - what where they thinking!

The install_cluster script for the latest Solaris 10 Recommended patch cluster checks to see if it's being run from a local filesystem.

HOWTO: get JDev to show the foreign keys in Conn Nav & struct window

Hi,
I have SQL tables with foreign keys but the JDev connections navigator and table editor dont show them. They just look like primary keys in the "PK" column. The structure window shows a bunch of constraints with names like "SYS_C00143114" which is not very meaningful to me. Surely JDeveloper knows what these magic numbers mean and can trace the foreign keys for me.
How can I get JDeveloper to show the foreign keys, and which table is referenced by that foreign key? Can I make it navigate from a table's foreign key value to the the correct tuple in the referenced table?
Maybe this is an ER if JDev doesn't do this already. Navigating a schema, or drawing it showing all the foreign key references would be very handy. Navigating through actual table data would be nice too.

I found "new->Database Diagram" that does a lot of what I wanted, at least in mapping out the foreign key references. Now if I can just figure out how to print a .png file...

I have a iPod nano 5th generation and there's a song I'm trying to play, but each time I click it from artist it just shows the songs name again. And when I try to click the song from the song list it just skips. How can I fix this?

Pretty much I have a song on my iPod 5th gen nano that doesn't wanna play, its just one song every other song works. I click it and it show the thing when a song is about to play but then it instantly goes back to where you click on the song. And when I click on it in the songs list it skips immediately to the next song on the list. I have tried restoring my iPod but the song still won't work I've also tried removing the song from the library and the putting it back on iTunes but still no luck. What do you guys suggest I do?

Can you play the song in iTunes?
If you can't the song file is probably corrupt and needs to be replaced.

How are you trying to view the times of the photos? On a Mac you cannot see the capture date of a photo in the or video in the Finder. The Finder will always show the date the file was created or modified, and not when the photo has been taken. The capture date, when the iPhone took the photo will be encoded in the EXIF tags of the file, and that is different from the file creation. Photo software will show you the EXIF, the Info panel in iPhoto, or the Info panel in Preview.

Several days of edited photos disappeared after a force quit of iphoto, events are there but empty but when I try to reload from sd card it shows adited duplicates, but I can't find them on the mac. I have originals but would prefer not to have to edit again.

When running from an external HD - does the internal HD do anything??

In the past 6 days my MBP-13" (mid-2010) has been freezing regularly. At first I thought it was a software issue - but after much talk on Apple Discussions, with a super technician today and other telcons etc. - it now seems to be a HARDWARE issue. Likely the internal HD - but perhaps also memory. Since I have several bootable backups, I'm trying a few more days to fully understand this issue before going ahead and having a new HD and/or memory installed.
OK so if I boot (like now) on an EXTERNAL FW800 HD (with aSuperDuper! clone copy of my internal HD) then intead of the freezes as early as startup and definitely within 1-5 minutes after startup that I get with an INTERNAL HD startup, with the EXTERNAL - I can run hours - actually did 24 hours once.
Summary: Internal HD startup-- FREEZES during or at Startup or in minutes after - might go 5-10 minutes, not more.
External with the exact same cloned software / system etc: RUNS up to 24 hours (maybe longer, just haven't tested it).
BUT BUT-- if I activate a screen-saver and then if the MBP goes to sleep -- it freezes... even with the external HD as the boot / startup drive.
SO I'm wondering if this is because the internal HD is being activated - and since it likely has some bad sectors or ??? - when it comes to life, it causes the freeze. IS THAT POSSIBLE?

Yet sometimes like now (running off an external HD) it goes an hour or more fine!!
Here's what I have done: Run a new, clean system on the INTERNAL HD after erasing it. This worked for a long while (basically in sleep mode however) then began freezing regulary.
OK so you are recommending erase a FW HD and then load 10.6.3 from my installation disk, then run that-- but first physically remove the 500gb internal HD-- CORRECT?
I'm now guessing this is a logic board problem - especially with the error code on the Hardware Test DVD reading: 4SNS/1/40000001: TN1D- -1.000

Showing the process instance state.

My application for material purchasing has two phases:
1. the user fills an online request form (providing item, quantity, price, etc.) and the request is saved in the db;
2. from within the application the user starts an approval process for his request.
Still using this application, the user can later on look again at his request. Now I would like to show him the state of the process instance associated to it. The best for me would be to link, from my application, the same diagram shown by the Process List Viewer, with a green square on the activity in process.
Is it possible? If yes, how?

The requested deployable object 'sap.com/tcbpemwdui~procvis' is not deployed on the server.
I don't know if it's a matter of sw level. I am using NWCE EHP1 7.11 SP04. Do I need to upgrade to 7.2?
Besides, I discovered that this url is working fine:
http://server:port/bpem/pv/index.jsp?processInstanceId=<32_char_processinstanceID>
Anyway, to have one of those url working I need to get the <32_char_processinstanceID> programmatically, but I don't know how. I searched through the documentation, but I didn't find anything.
Can you, please, help me?
I think that the functionality I am trying to privide to the end user is quite common.
After filling an online form and after submitting it for approval, the user is extremely interested in the progress and in the final outcome of the process. Such information is provided by the Process List Viewer, where he can find, for example, the process instances he has started, but it's hard to correlate one instance with the request submitted. Searching through the requests is easier and is done with relational queries; from here it would be extremely useful to link any information about the state of the process instance.
Can you please comment on this?
