Pages showing in the background when closing Firefox

Not so much a problem, just something I've noticed and wondered about the reasons for it. When closing down Firefox, even if only one tab is open, I noticed momentarily a previous session appear behind the closing page i.e. browsing navigating from page to page within the same tab, close down and one of the previous pages momentarily appears for a millisecond.

Sounds like a problem with the plugin-container.

First check the following setting. In the Tools menu select Options. In the Options dialog go to the General panel and make sure the setting "When Firefox Starts" is not set to "Show my windows and tabs from last time", you can set it to either of the other 2 choices.

Your System Details list shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time Firefox starts.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be there.
You can check its content with a plain text editor (right-click: Open with) if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time Firefox is started and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.
Delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

It is really irritating to have to restart Firefox all the time and then open the history window because no warning was issued!

This is ridiculous. I've had this problems for years now and I'm finally walking away from Firefox. I use my keyboards more than my mouse, and how many times does your finger slip and hit Command Q instead of W. How come FF can't reset something as trivial as this? Murray is right. Padding (and margins) is added to the width. However, when using percentages, you should never use figures that add up to exactly 100%.
Browsers need to convert the percentages to pixels. Because pixels must be whole numbers, some percentages are rounded up, which results in the final element dropping down below its neighbours. With percentages, it's much safer to use values that add up to 98% (99% often works, but 98% is safer).

SAP Screen Personas: How to Change the background when a pop up shows?

So I am using the current version of Personas (2.0) and I need to add an image to the background when a pop up appears. However, no matter what I have tried I cannot seem to get it to place an image in the 'grey' area behind the pop up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here is a screenshot so you can see what I mean:
The current Transaction is XD03, it goes to this pop up where I can change the background of the pop up itself, but I cannot change the background behind the pop up, it remains the same SAP screen which is not optimal for Personas output. Once I get out of the pop up I can change the background no problem - but during the pop up I am unable to edit the grey area. Even after the background has been changed on the screen following the pop up this background always remains the same. Has anyone had any luck changing this?

When I went back and tried to change the background I was able to add an image but it still would show the header section in the back behind the pop up.
However when I pulled an image that was filling the background up into the pop up area, Personas would re-size the pop up! Then I was able to drag the pop up to cover the header of the background to prevent it from showing anything similar to a traditional SAP screen. It is not exactly what I wanted but it will suffice for a work around. Thanks again for your help!

If you mean using the mail app - yes it can be kept open. You do not have the multiple open windows feature in iOS like on a computer so you still have to navigate back to the mail app via double tapping the home button or by swiping to switch apps if using multitasking gestures.

Firefox 8 and the "Warn when closing...multiple tabs" preference check box still doesn't work?

I'm aware that I can go into the about:config screen and toggle a couple of settings but the real question is "Why is this still a problem since version 4?" Why bother to have Preferences at all, if the given solution is always to tweak the config?

This hint was posted on a similar link that works for me. Here is what to do:
In option -> privacy -> choose "use custom history setting" and choose your preference for history and cookie setting. and then click "OK'.
Then you will get the warning when closing multiple tabs.
It doesn't seem to be related but it does affect the operation of the other part of the software that issues the warning.

A video I have watched in the past plays randomly, invisibly and sporadically in the background when browsing with FF10.

I'm having a small but annoying issue with FF10. In the past, I have watched a video on a website that I visited to get information on a diet for a family member. I have not visited that site since obtaining the information on the diet, but now, sometimes the audio from that video will play in the background when I am browsing with FF10. This issue has not occurred with any other browser, so far as I am aware. My first thought was that I may have a virus, but I run virus scans every day, and all of them have come back showing no viruses. I have run Norton Internet Security scan in both Safe Mode and Normal mode, all with the same result. My PC is less than a year old, and everything seems to be running smoothly, apart from this problem. It does not happen every time I open Firefox, but sometimes happens at start-up, or more rarely, after I've been browsing for a while. Apart from the repeated virus scans, I have also attempted to clear any cookies related to the site I visited. I am waiting to see if this solves the issue, but I'm wondering if anyone else is having or has had a similar issue. If you have, any help would be much appreciated.The audio of the video was annoying to listen to once, and I'm hoping I do not have to keep hearing it so often, so if you have any suggestions beyond what I have tried, I'd be extremely grateful. When closing firefox 4, it remains active on task manager..

when closing firefox 4, it remains active on task manager and cannot open firefox again unless i go to task manager and terminate the process. with older version of firefox, had no problem.
