Pages slide right

Sometimes, I move my Magic Mouse and the Safari or Acrobat page I'm working on slides off the screen to the right. (My dock is on the right side.) The page is not in the dock and gone forever, it appears. This is not a "swipe between pages" because a swipe to the left does not bring it back. It does not happen often enough for me to notice my finger positions on the mouse so I don't know what they usually are. As luck would have it, though, this is the second time I typed this page because the prior effort exited stage right, laughing. It's gone. I was lightly holding the mouse with two fingers and a third finger was touching the top of the mouse. My questions, then: Where do the pages go when they leave? Are they recoverable? How do I not have it happen?  Thanks (I use OS 10.8.4 and Safari 6.0.5. The mouse is about four years old.)

    Bringing in a PPT slide usually means the content ends up as a fixed graphic background anyway.  So why not just group the objects on your PPT slide, right click and turn them into a PNG graphic, and then insert that PNG into your quiz slide?

    I have a very wide page in my site and I'm wondering what device I can use so that the page slides to the left. I want it to move gradually rather than in steps, as an anchor tag would do.
    Similar to what this home page does, although this is a slide show. My page contains a series of text blocks and images.

    Hi Bud,
    You can achieve this by creating a wide page. Increase the page width in page properties.
    After which you need to place the anchors as you move towards the right on the page and then create objects which link to them for the page transition to happen.

  • Full page slide show won't show elements under the object

    I created a master page with several elements.  I then went to the "home" page and added a full page slide show.  It is on top and nothing can be seen but the slide show.  I have selected the element and did an object move to back but still nothing shows.  What am I doing wrong?

    Please go to master page and then in layers panel create a layer and drag the content you want to show on top of all pages wherever the master is applied.

    Hi,
    Try copying the first page into a second page and check if the problem persists.
    If the problem persists then it is the device type issue assigned with the printer.
    Also please check with LOCL or any other printer if the same problem exists.

    IF there is many lines when we use the ListController ,the data nears the taskbar can not be used the Right Click Menu。

    Susanna ~ Welcome to the discussions. If you're referring to the navigation menu, the following is from iWeb's Help viewer...
    To prevent a page from appearing in the navigation menu:
    1. In the sidebar (on the left side of the iWeb window), select the page you don’t want to appear in the navigation menu.
    2. If the Page Inspector isn’t open, click Inspector in the toolbar (or choose View > Show Inspector), and then click the Page Inspector button.
    3. In the Page pane, deselect “Include in navigation menu.”

  • Making Template Shifts page to right!

    I have a site that I have done 3 pages for and I'm making them into templates but as soon as I put an editable region in the whole pages shifts right in Dreamweaver. It doesn't effect the look on the web but look bad in dreamweaver. I dont know if you can tell by the image but one whole DIV is off the side of the screen. I could probaly fix the div that is shifted off the page with my CSS but what is doing this. And can I fix the #Wrapper?

    You have some errors in your code that DW may be choking on.
    Run your page through the validator at http://www.validator.w3.org
    One thing I know DW has hated in the past is comments with more than two hypens to start and close, so <!--- should be <!-- and ---> should be -->.
    If all of the errors are removed and Design View is still displaying it wrong, post back and we can take a closer look.
    Keep in mind though, that there may not be a "fix" for Design View. DV is just an approximation of how the page will look, not even a good one at that. Live View is better, but only represents the page as it would look in a "mostly there" version of a Webkit browser. Previewing in the actual browers is often the only way to know what your page will actually look like.

    Fireworks CS4 to CS6 - is there a setting that needs to be adjusted so that web pages look right in Internet Explorer?  I was in the middle of creating pages with Fireworks CS4 and exporting them to Dreamweaver CS4 and publishing them to the website. Those pages looked fine. Then I upgraded to CS6 and the pages  look fine in  Fireworks, Dreamweaver and when I preview them "live" in Chrome but not Internet Explorer. Anyone know why?  Also, with upgrading the software I upgraded to a new computer.  Any and all suggestions are welcomed.  Thanks!

    Most likely caused by a missing document type declaration (DTD).  Truth is, the HTML code generated by graphics apps is not web worthy.  It's really only intended for quick mock-ups to show a client before you rebuild everything with CSS & HTML code in Dreamweaver.

  • Moving on to next slide right after completion of TEB (text entry box).

    Hello all--
    I'm using Captivate 4.
    I have a system training course where we require learners to enter the appropriate date into an TEB.  After the date is entered, I want Captivate to move on to the next slide.  For example, on screen 1, the learner enters '060510', then Captivate should move on to the next slide.
    I can make Captivate work great with text menus:  for example, if the learner enters the correct menu item 'A', then I can set the shortcut key to A which causes Captivate to move to the next slide right away and very nicely.  But I can't figure out how to make this work with dates.  Any suggestions???

    What you need is a shortcut key to trigger the action. Captivate makes it super easy to assign shortcuts, but they aren't without issues.
    For example, some shortcut keys are always interpreted by the browser and therefore cannot be used reliably. In your case a likely shortcut would be to assign 0 as the shortcut. But this has issues because the first character typed is a 0. So the first time 0 were pressed an error would likely be issued because the field isn't complete yet and doesn't match the expected date.
    I've seen this asked about before. What is really needed here is for Captivate to allow configuring a Text Entry Box object so it is constantly on the hunt for a specific string the author configures. Once the criteria has been satisfied, the assigned action occurs. You (and anyone else that wants to see this emerge as a feature) should ask Adobe via the Wish Form (link is in my sig).

    When Safari opens a link as a tab, it opens it on the far right.
    Recent versions of Firefox have a new option - 'slide' right: the
    new table slides in between where you are and the other tabs you
    already have open.

    First post and a Muse / Web Noob.
    Im building my personal website with muse ( CC and now CC 2014 ) , its quite simple with slideshows embedded inside each other and is just 4 pages in total.
    My two slideshow pages appears to load all images at once making it very slow ( plus 20 secs on my system ). Is it possible to force it to load just the required items for the immediate page / slide. It would be so much faster and would work much better in this particular situation.
    Ive built all the images and icons at the correct size so optimisation shouldn't be an issue. The whole site is only about 42mb.

    Oh well the problem seems to have fixed itself. It seems it was either a Java or Tumblr problem because the same thing happened when I installed Chrome. It is a lot more stable now and no more crashes yay.

    sorry - we've been working on the website over the weekend so it isn't the same anymore because the person working on it already changed the facebook feed to some text and told me that we'll see about making it the way it was later, nevertheless, i absolutely do have screenshots- they simply would not load on the page to post the initial question.
    in the ff browser neither the yt widget or the fb 'feed' were showing, but the ie browser had them correctly displayed. apologies because as of right this minute the site won't look like that in any browser - with the messing about of the weekend it currently shows as in the 3rd screenshot - i put the windows next to each other and captured just the relevant part - on the left side is ie showing the yt widget and text for a fb link, but on the ff side, there's still no yt widget, it does show the text but ultimately the idea is to get it back to what it looks like in the second shot of the ie browser.
    i hope i didn't confuse things -
    and thank you VERY much for any help (i've looked at the question for websites don't appear as they should but clearing cache and cookies didn't help)
