    I was fed up getting messages such as:
    Safari can't open the page...
    Safari can't connect to the server.. etc
    I tried everything to get my Safari 3.1.1 to work on my Mac Pro computer (OS X 10.5.2) - then I found the solution for my Mac accidentally - it was due to Intego Net Barrier X4 that I had installed on my computer.
    What I did was to upgrade to NetBarrier X5 and, after installation, I deleted the old intruder Stop List under NetBarroer's 'Antivandal' Stop List button. Now I can visit all the sites that previously did not open in Safari 3.1.1. However, I am not sure whether it was the upgrade or just deleting the intruder stop lists that did the trick.
    So, before you upgrade to Intego NetBarrier X5, try and delete the stop lists under the antivandal button first in your existing NetBarrier X4. Highlight the intruder list (click on the first intruder at the top of the list and, while holding down the shift key, click on the last intruder on the list, thus selecting all of them), and then press the 'minus' button below the list. This will remove all the intruder items in the stop list. Restart your computer, open up Safari and now check if you can access sites previously inaccessible by Safari. If not, upgrade to NetBarrier X5 and it should work. Well at least in my case.

  • Page stuck while load and leads to stuck thread

    Hi
    I am facing an issue from a long time.
    When i run the page of my application, when it opens for first time it get stuck and get loading and take very much time and after that it leads to stuck thread issue. All the component of my page opens but there is a table which gets value from OIM APIs also loads for the fiirst time. As in coding i have done it will pass null value to the table and wont fetch data for the first time. it will only fetch when value will be passed in a text box and submit was hit.
    So my page gets hanged or loading in the table section everytime when it loads. for that i have to login in weblogic server, run the workmanager, forcefully shut down the server instance and run the page again. But sometime that doesnt work too.
    Please help its a bug trouble for me and creating a huge problem.
    Thanks
    Sudeep

    I'm not sure I understand your issue - but if you want to delay the fetching of information into the table until you actually have a value to pass to it see:

  • OBPM Workspace Cascade StyleSheet (CSS) Loading Page Stuck

    Hi there, I´m facing a serious problem !
    We have implemented ALBPM workspace to end users on my customer ! The main problem is regarding a weird behavior.
    When users are working through ALBPM Workspace (deployed into ALBPM for WebLogic Server) sometimes they got stuck due to workspace problems, they select an instance or try to submit a instance to validation, they got stuck in "LOADING PAGE" and nothing happens then! They must close their browsers and re-open again to get the work done!
    This is impacting roughly end users performances! My customer is complaining and we don´t have any idea what´s going on.
    This is my loadingstatus.xhtml file output :
    <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"
    xmlns:ui="http://java.sun.com/jsf/facelets"
    xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"
    xmlns:html="http://fuego.com/jsf/html"
    xmlns:fn="http://bea.com/bpmWorkspace/functionsLibrary">
    <html:div rendered="#{not componentBean.minimizedViewSize}">
    <f:verbatim>
    <div id="loadingMsg#{componentBean.id}" class="bpmWorkspaceLoadingContainer" style="display:none">
    <div class="bpmWorkspaceLoadingMsg">#{fn:getMsg('LOADING')}</div>
    </div>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function showLoadingMsg_#{componentBean.id}() {
    var elem = document.getElementById('loadingMsg#{componentBean.id}');
    if (elem) elem.style.display = '';
    </script>
    </f:verbatim>
    </html:div>
    </div>
    Does anybody has a similiar behavior ? We are not using WEBLOGIC PORTAL !
    I´d appreciate any help !
    Thanks in advance
    Edson

    Thanks for your help, but I´m not using WebLogic Portal.
    I´m using BPM Workspace instead of it.
    End users access through BPM WORKSPACE,like I said, BPM Worskpace has been deployed into WebLogic Server and NOT WebLogic Portal. I had some issues like that on WebLogic Portal, another customer, I resolved changed the TYPE LAYOUT to Two Column Layout instead of FLOW LAYOUT.
    But here, customer is using only BPM WORKSPACE, so there´s no WEBLOGIC PORTAL !
    I´m facing these problems occasionally, end users must close their browsers and open a new one and finish their jobs.
    I appreciate your help and attention.
    Thanks

  • Facebook page stuck on big

    K, I've looked in the manuals, online help, searched the Web, nada.
    My Facebook page in Safari on my iPad seems to be stuck on the size for the landscape orientation. When I orient it back to portrait, it stays the same size. I've tried pinching, I've tried double tapping, triple tapping, re-starting the iPad, putting the orientation lock on and off, mystic incantations, blah blah blah.
    What am I doing wrong here? It's not killing me, but it's a bit of a pain to navigate. TIA.

    It's because when Facebook detects the iPad user agent, they load this line of code in the meta tag:
    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width; initial-scale=1.0; maximum-scale=1.0; user-scalable=0;" />

  • Safari - new pages "stuck"

    I have a very unusual problem - several times a day, Safari (5.0.5) seems to get stuck when I click on a link. There are no spinning beach balls or any crashes - it simply seems like the internet is slow.
    Quite by accident, I discovered that when I open a new window, the page becomes unstuck immediately. In the past, I waited for up to 1-2 minutes for a new website to load before discovering this "fix".
    Does anyone know why this is...and if there is a more-efficient remedy? Thanks!

    I came across this solution yesterday afternoon, and it seems to be working for me. <http://appletoolbox.com/2010/09/fix-safari-slowness-stalled-page-loads-by-disabl ing-dns-prefetching/>
    It has to do with the DNS servers that your computer goes to for "prefetching" a page. I changed the servers that my office ISP uses (comcast) and the pages seem to load much better now.
    The article says:
    a variety of factors can cause Safari for Mac OS X to slowly load pages, open new tabs and windows, and perform other operations.
    Apple has now posted a knowledge base article titled “Safari 5.0.1 or later: Slow or partial webpage loading, or webpage cannot be found,” which lists two potential fixes for the issue.
    The first echoes our previously posted fix for the issue, switching DNS servers from those generated by your ISP to those offered by OpenDNS. To do so:
    Open System Preferences and click “Network”
    Select your connection method (AirPort, Ethernet, etc.)
    Enter the following items in the “DNS Server” field:  208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
    Click Apply
    Or you can try Google’s public DNS servers: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4."

  • Pages stuck in trial mode when opening file...

    I purchased Pages through the app store after using it as a trial.
    When I open Pages directly and then load a file everything works fine. However, if I open Pages by clicking on a file it opens in trial mode and I cannot save as it tells me it is expired.
    I only see one reference to Pages under my applications and it works fine. If I change the program that opens files, there is only one listing for Pages and selecting it does not change the problem.
    Does anyone know why when opening a file I get stuck in trial mode? Is there another instance of Pages installed somewhere?
    I'm fairly new to Mac, so it's possible I overlooked something. Thanks.

    Even experienced users miss this one. You now need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
    Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his iDisk in For_iWork > iWork '09 > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

  • Using Find in Safari makes current page "stuck"

    Note: Using Safari 6.1 on Lion 10.7.5, Late 2011 Macbook Pro 17 inch 2.5GHz
    Frequently when I use Safari's Find command, it will cause a strange bug to happen.
    It seems like the webpage I'm viewing is replaced by an image of the page. Scrolling moves the scroll bar but the display doesn't change. (Sometimes a thin strip of the page, where the Find bar was, will change as I scroll, but usually not).
    Cycling through the Find command will highlight my search term at seemingly random areas on the screen.
    When this happens, none of the links on the page are active anymore - it's as if the whole thing is one large image that can't be saved.
    Refreshing or typing a new URL in the address bar changes the data displayed in the Web Inspector, but the visual component remains the same as before. Sometimes a new tab or new browser window will function as expected. Sometimes those will show the same thing and require me to quit and relaunch safari before a new webpage can be accessed.
    The only browser extension I use is AdBlock, and this happens with or without the extension installed.
    Has anyone run into this before? Is there a fix?
    Thanks!
    Oh, and it's been happening for at least a month. I forget when it first started... probably last time I updated Safari.
    And I can't upgrade to Mavericks and try the new Safari until I get the firmware on my primary hard drive updated, which apparently requires me to remove the drive and pop it into a windows box.

    From the manual:
    Search the page. Scroll to the bottom of the suggested results list and tap the entry under On
    This Page. Tap to see the next occurrence on the page.

  • People and Tasks pages stuck on loading in OWA - other settings not working

    Single Exchange 2013 CU6 on Server 2012 R2 in coexistence with Exchange 2007 during migration.
    Having a problem with OWA on Exchange 2013. When clicking on the People or Tasks tab they never load just say loading. Also unable to enter certain settings from the settings menu like Change Theme, Display Settings, Offline Settings; the browser doesn't
    do anything when those links are clicked. Composing an email in HTML doesn't work either; unable to type in the email body (no cursor or Font Styles bar) and changing to Plain Text allows user to type in the email body. This behavior is the same across IE11,
    Chrome 38, Firefox, Safari. Seems to be a problem with OWA premium as OWA light on an XP machine with IE8 doesn't have any of the above problems. OWA works fine in Exchange 2013 CU4 in our lab environment.
    Thanks for any suggestions as I am banging my head against the wall with this.

    Hi Sherms_a,
    Do all the problematic mailboxes stored in exchange 2013 server?
    If you create a new mailbox in exchange 2013, and check if there is the same issue .
    In addition, you can add the light version of Outlook Web App in to the Outlook Web App sign-in page though the following command, and check if there is the same issue when using OWA light:
    Set-OWAVirtualDirectory -identity "servername\owa (Default Web Site)" -LogonPageLightSelectionEnabled $True
    If the issue is still persist after trying all the suggestions above, I recommend you try to re-build OWA virtual directory and check the result.

  • Help!  Old Version of Page STUCK in Safari Proxy Server

    I have a website that I run. For some reason no matter what I do, there are old versions of my website stuck in the Safari Proxy Server. A year and a half ago my online cart was down, so I put up a message on the website. I STILL get calls almost every day from people who think my online cart is down. I am at my wit's end! How do I tell the proxy server that there is an updated version of my website!?! I have tried embedding code, doing major design changes, but nothing has helped. Anyone?!
    (the website is www.bubbleandbee.com)

    Greetings,
    For some reason no matter what I do, there are old versions of my website stuck in the Safari Proxy Server.
    That's a rather vague statement. It would be more helpful if you actually said what you have done so far to correct this problem.
    But to my way of thinking, you need to clear the cache of your proxy server, which should be easy to do and it should work.

  • Weather page stuck on initial date from the first time I opened it. Will not update. Have deleted history, cookies. Comics do not update either, still stuck on the original day I opened them after installing Firefox. Help Please

    Have updated all plug-ins and add-on. Not sure if this is related or not, when I tried to use "live chat" that link would not work.

    If you are using bookmarks to open the sites then make sure that you do not use bookmarks that have GET data appended (?xxx=xxx) to specify a specific page.
    * "Clear the Cache": Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
    * "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
    If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file <i>cookies.sqlite</i> that stores the cookies is corrupted.
    Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> and <b>cookies.txt</b>, if they exist, in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
