Pages take too time to be downloaded (sometimes) and Forum in French
Hello,
That's my first message.
I'm looking for a forum about Dremweaver, but in French.
I know there is one on the official Acrobat page. Unfortunately, there are not many answers.
And it'll be easier for me to discuss in French.
Well, why not to let you know about my problem right now... Please, forgive me about my English language and my not technical words...
I've created my first website thanks to Dreamweaver. I'm not a professional webmaster """and my website is ok, is online"".
The "only" problem is when I go on a page, the page takes time to be downloaded... or, rather, the header is ok to be downloaded, the part on the left too, but the part in the center and on the right are very long...
1. This problem does not appear all the time... Just now, I tried to download and it's ok. (with Opera and Firefox)
2. The problem appears above all with pages contained photos (in miniatures). I know photos take time to be downloaded, but there are some miniatures. Moreover, sometimes, pages with only text take time...
Thank you very much if you may give me some answers.
If you want to have more informations, do not hesitate!
Once again, I'm sorry for my English and my mistakes for the technical language
See you soon
Dominique
Hi Paula,
Thank you very much for your answer!!!
Yes, I put this script Rss. I think the same problem will be the same with other "suppliers".
A member of the French forum told me he noticed not serious problem. Sometimes, a page was slowly but it depends on the high traffic too.
I'm very grateful to you. You help me and now I'm reassured about my website.
Once again, thank you very much!!!!!
Have a nice week,
See you later,
Dominique

Page takes too long to load because of videos
Hi. I have a website that I made, but the page takes too long to load because there are videos on it. Is there any way to stop the videos from auto-loading and instead only load when someone clicks on them to play?
There are several ways to have videos on a page without having them load until they are selected to play. A couple are:
1 - Opening Item in a New, Precisely Sized Window. This test site has 9 videos on the page: PhotoPresenter Animated Slideshow Themes.
2 - QT Movies via Export for Web in QT Player. This method is more difficult to implement.

I BOUGHT an application from my iphone Application icon and paid 2.99 dollars too, for phone tracker , downloaded sucessfully and its working too but not tracking the phones as mentioned in the description can any one support me??? better from apple!!
Is this the app you're referring to?
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/phone-tracker/id348537489?mt=8
As you'll note it's made by Presselite and that page has a link to their support.
Also, you'll find it best not to post questions about iPhone apps in the AppleWorks forum. Best to contact the makers of the app.

I've tried downloading 3 seprate songs thur iTunes on my iPhone 4S and every time it says download incomplete and ask to retry but continues the same message. I've restarted my phone, checked internet connection, closed out of the app, etc.
Hello Bdev15,
I would be concerned too if the songs I purchased from iTunes were not downloading to my iPhone. You have taken some great troubleshooting steps already, and thank you for providing the details of the steps you too. I have a few additional suggestions to get it downloaded to your iPhone.
First, I recommend checking to see if the download was interrupted:
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.
iTunes: How to resume interrupted iTunes Store downloads
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1725
If the songs still do not download, next I recommend downloading the songs when connected to another network. For example, if you are using the cellular network, you could switch to Wi-Fi, or you could try an alternate Wi-Fi network. Follow the steps in the section titled "iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch > Music" in the article below to download the songs:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
If you are still not able to download the songs, you can report an issue with these purchases using the steps in this article:
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBookstore purchase

Adobe Store takes too long to deliver download and serial information
Earlier this week we received some Indesign files for a job, but they were in Indesign 5 format, so we were unable to open them with Indesign CS4. So, taking this as a sign that it was time to upgrade, yesterday, at around 1pm UK time I purchased the upgrade from Creative Suite Design Premium 4 to Creative Suite Design Premium 5.5. I logged onto the Adobe.com store, looked at the options - Home and Home Business, Small and Medium Business, Eductation and selected Small and Medium Business (because that is what we are). I purchased the upgrade (as a download), received a confirmation email from Adobe and waited....and waited...and waited. At the end of the day I called Adobe Custopmer support and asked why I have not had any email showing links to download sites, and serial numbers. I was told it can take 24 hrs to process the order.
Well here we are over 24 hrs later and I have still not had any information from Adobe. I tried calling the customer support and it is only open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. The customer support website is down. The Adobe Volume Licensing site is down - and was all day yesterday as well.
In the meantime I have no way of opening the files. My deadline is Wednesday and we had planned to work on the job today and tomorrow (which is why I am sitting in my office now). It appears I cannot access customer support before Monday morning, and the customer support website is down until tomorrow evening UK time - at least. This means working all night on Monday and probably Tuesday - assuming we get access to the download information early Monday.
Adobe is one of the biggest software vendors in the world. When I buy software - online and for download, with a credit card - I expect to be able to access the software immediately. There is no excuse for this delay. None. A business the size of Adobe should not have customer services down for 2 days. Support should run 24/7, 365 days a year. My enquiry yesterday was routed to an offshore call centre, so having a 9 to 5 cut off is simply ridiculous.
The simple fact is that even the smallest software vendors we buy from deliver the goods within minutes. As you can tell I am mightily "annoyed" by this. At this point in time I am wishing these files were in Quark Xpress format (we have both). Quark used to have terrible support but they are now very good - and available.
As a customer of Adobe for over 15 years I am disappointed. Today, in my email inbox I have emails from Adobe about new online cloud services. Well, why would I want to invest any more in Adobe software if I cannot even access the ones I have bought - quickly?
If companies like Adobe want to know why piracy is rife - look at your own delivery systems. The only option I have now to do this job is to either download a pirated version (which I will not) or to download and run the trial for Indesign. How stupid is that?
Apologies for the rant.ProDesignTools wrote:

Hi Kevin, not sure why it's taken longer than usual, but you can just download the free trial in the meantime. It will work 100% for 30 days, and you can convert it over to the full version once you receive your permanent serial number without reinstalling. This is fine even with a business license.
There's really no reason not to proceed in this fashion, especially with an imminent deadline. Adobe recommends this in cases where there is any sort of delay (for example, student validation) or immediate need. And absolutely you should avoid downloading the software from anywhere else, which is not only illegal but also hazardous to the health of your computer (malware).
Hope this helps!
Acrobat has never had a Trial for Mac. Probably never will. -
Running a page takes long time
Hi,
Running in page takes a long time in JDeveloper.
I see that, every time I run a page, the tool archives/loads the following
Tutalii: C:\jdevbin\jdev\appslibrt\iasjoc.zip
Tutalii: C:\jdevbin\jdev\appslibrt\fwk.zip
It seems that this process itself takes a lot of time - nearly 5 minutes.
This adds to the page rendering time of nearly 10 minutes.
We are doing remote development as we don't have an option. Can we prevent the loading of above zip files again and again ?
Any other way to make the pages run faster ?
Thanks,
AmitI believe that link doesn't help much.
The Tutali seems to only happen on the initial startup of a page the first time. If you keep the J2EE running then the next page load isn't so bad. There is no need to restart the J2EE as redeployment clears the classloader cache, etc..
I've also found that if I have a lot of projects built in "myclasses", this "Tutali" thing takes longer. So when I finish with one project, I clear my directory under "myclasses".
This might help. -
In P6 8.4 web client for loading Resource page takes long time
As per tested configuration of P6 EPPM 8.4 we are using IE 9 and JRE 1.7.0.67.
I had checked RAM and its utilization is Max 40%, CPU usage is also very less.
Enough disk space is also avaliable (70% avaliable).
Enteries in resources are also very few just 20 numbers.
Project page is loading normally. But for loading resource page it pause for almost 15-20 seconds.
Last week i had faced issue that application freezes while loading resource page so i had restarted application and it was working.
May i know, what will be reason to take long time to load resorce page and possible solution.I am attching java console tracer log for while loading resource page..
please check.

Coldfusion Page takes too long, to Load.
Hi All,
I have just moved into Coldfusion technology. My expertise is
predominantly on Oracle and PL/SQL development.
In the application i am working on, we are currently facing,
an issue. We have a requirement, that is handled by dynamic
dropdowns. We use Javascript to control the values loaded in a
dropdown. (By default, the Country, State, City, Facility and
Facility Type for a user will be loaded. He can choose any of the
values in the dropdown and that would control the other dropdown's.
If a Country is chosen, the states corresponding to that country
should be loaded in the next drop down .. and so on ... )
We have drop downs like, Country, State, City, Facility and
Facility Types. The backend, sends across, all the values as the
combinations of Country,State,City, Facility and FacilityTypes that
have been rolled out , to enable selection as a refcursor. The page
load was surprisngly taking about 91 seconds!! We did check the
record volumes and they are not more than 1500 rows. Also, the
database queries, execute in 130 microseconds each. Thus, the code
is indeed optimized from the database perspective.
The Issue i am facing is the performance hit when the page
loads. For just 1500 rows of the combinations i have mentioned, it
takes 94 seconds. It takes only 24 seconds in my offshore. However,
i have verfied machine configurations and i seem to have a better
configuration that my offshore team. Yet, it takes more time to
load here. Also, does the CF application server parse all the
functions OnLoad, Onchange even before the Page is loaded? Anyone
who has already encountered this issue?
Cheers,
JWhat version of CF (guessing 6.1 according to your username)?
What database?
What database driver?
Is the database indexed correctly?
Is the database local?
Are you caching your queries, since a list of states is
unlikely to change?
What hardware on the server?
Are your heap sizes optimized in the CF Administrator? -
I miss the old back button, when I could go back multiple pages at a time.
You can also:
*right-click the Back/Forward button for the drop-down
*add this extension to add the drop-marker to the Back/Forward button: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker/

So I have a friend who I've been trying to assist with this. I don't know if she has issues with other sites or she may not have encountered any yet, but one in particular is just not working. It started about a month ago around the time she moved (so different ISP/router etc.) though not entirely sure if it started right after that or if it was just coincidence. Anyways she cleared cookies/cache, no luck. I had her update and restart the computer, still not working. Disabled all extensions, still doesn't work. It can take upwards of 30-45 seconds to even respond in some cases, and when it does sometimes the page is all white with just text improperly formatted, but the background doesn't display at all, other times the background images and text are displaying correctly but the nearly all the user submitted images on the site (deviantart) will not display. I believe she mentioned it occasionally happened on tumblr as well.
Other computers on her network are fine. I downloaded Firefox to see if it was a problem that persisted across browsers and indeed it did. So I went into the console on Firefox and looked at further information and it was returning Status Code 304 Not Modified which I looked up and that says it is telling the browser that the images should be loaded from cache. Problem with that is she shouldn't have any cache as its been cleared. I searched around this issue, found a suggestion saying to clear DNS cache, tried that and suddenly Firefox worked. I then logged into her username on DeviantArt through Firefox and suddenly the issues returned. I eventually was able to log out and things worked again. Now when I log into her account through Firefox it works fine. Safari still has issues.
I've even deleted the cache.db file in the library/safari folder and quit/restarted Safari and still no success. I've tried disabling cache through the developer options. The status code 304 error made me believe that the reason the images weren't showing up is because there is no cache for those images but the server is telling the browser to use the cache so the images cannot load. One last thing I can mention is that on the console in Safari, it often just returns many errors for all the images on the site saying it didn't respond. One time there were errors saying something about the security certificate but I refreshed numerous times after that and that error never showed up again in the console. Anyone know what might be causing this?Hi ...
Start here > Safari 5.0.1 or later: Slow or partial webpage loading, or webpage cannot be found
If nothing helped from that link, try troubleshooting Safari plug-ins.
From the Safari menu bar click Safai > Preferences then the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here. -
Browser is suddenly very slow-pages take too much time to load
I have grown accustomed to quick downloads of urls. Within the past 24 hours, things have really slowed down. I have checked my internet connection, and since there is a router involved, checked that as well. Everything appears to be functioning normally and this is confirmed through diagnostics.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Your expertise is welcomed by this Mac convert!!
Very Best and Thanks!!
iMac & HP Pavillion 830n-XP Mac OS X (10.4.6) Mac Convert for the apps-PC for the real job!!If the slowness is still there when you connect the Mac directly to the modem, bypassing the router, and the PC doesn't show the slowness, then there's something wrong with Mac. BTW, did you try it wih the PC and router totally disconnected from the modem? Do you have file sharing turned on between the Mac and the PC? You need to totally isolate the various components to determine the bottleneck. Once you determine that it's the Mac, then see what happens if you create another admin account user and log into the new account. If the slowness disappears, there's some conflict in the old account. If not, then the problem's system-wide and reinstalling the 10.4.6 COMBO update is the next step. If you still have problems, then an Archive & Install comes next.

Login Page takes long time to load
Hi,
There is a peculiar issue with one of the portal we have.
If portal is being accessed through the standard url i.e http://<fqdn>:<port>/irj/portal its takes more than 3-4 min everytime to load on the browser. Even once user id & pwd given it takes equally long time to login.
If portal is being accessed through the url i.e http://<fqdn>:<port>/nwa it loads in no time.
Note: Its is standard portal screen. No customization done. This is developement system so hardly couple of users log in simutaneously.
Data base is sqlserver.
Any help on this? Could this be a OS (windows 2003 server) issue?
Regards,
*Raj*What Arun Jaiswal said, but before you do that, check if it does the same with different browsers!
I had something similar, but when I tested the portal application (in your case it's the standard portal, I know ) in FF3.5 it works, but in IE7 not :S.

Right after getting yosemite on my Macbook Pro with 16GB memory and SSD HDD. I find that after working for 30 minutes or so that the machine gets really slow, even switching between screens gets kinda of sluggish!!!
So i looked into the Activity Monitor and to my surprise i find that Finder is taking more than 4GB of memory just by itself and high percentage of CPU.
If i quit it, the machine goes back to being normal, but then Finder will restart, and again after 30 minutes or so, it does the same thing over and over.
I am sure that it's some kind of a bug, but i don't know where to start to solve this problem!!!
This never happened on previous OSXs.
If anyone have a hint it will be appreciated.
Thanks,Problem description:
Finder keeps taking up too much memory thus slowing down the machine to it’s knees.
