Pages text invisible

all my previously saved documents are invisible when I open them in pages. If it is through finder, I can see the doc in the preview frame, but when open it shows nothing, has a word count though. I have tried changing fonts & colours, this works although doc is still invisible in pages (can see it in the preview frame).

What version of OS X & what version of Pages are you using? This is something that is often cured by updating.

Nope, unless you want to have the default MP "Left" laid out as a TPILB (This Page Intentionally Left Blank). That also requires creating a new "Left.Content" MP, and making sure that a critical mass of commonly used Paragraph Formats are mapped to it or "Right".
What FM needs, and doesn't have, is a notation for the MasterPageMappingTable that controls what happens when there is no Flow A or other user generated content for a page.
Back in the real world, always first work Plan 0, which is to talk management or the customer out of requiring TPILBs in the first place.
TPILBs: I know how to do 'em. Glad we don't need 'em here.

How to change Page Text in Book Module?

I am in the process of creating a 158 page photo book to be printed by Blub. I have created many other Blurb books using their BookSmart software. This is my first attempt using the Lightroom Book Module.
My problem is I would like the change the default Page Text field on each page without having to manually change each page. There doesn't seem to be a way to do a mass change. There is a "Select All Text Fields" command under the Edit tab, but that selects all of the text fields, both Page and Photo text fields, which doesn't help.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, include telling me there is no automated way to do it and I just need to "suck it up" and manually change all 158 pages with the same exact text.

Thanks a lot for your valuable answer. I have found the text for the "User Authentication Failed" , done the changes and depoyed the Jar file . This is working.
But the same when i try to do for "Authentication failed. Password locked" this message comes when i do multiple failed login. I need to change the text , i found the text in the u2022sap.comtcjesecurityimpl.jar file, i made the changes in the JAR file ,replaced with the server jar file and restared.
But the changes did'nt get reflected. Can you please suggest if i am chaning in the correct JAR file?. I am working in NWDS7.3

How can I hide the "Add Page Text" button in Lightroom 5 Book Module

In Lightroom 5's Book Module, there is an "Add page text" button that appears when you are in either two-page or single-page view.
More often than not, it sits right on top of my photo caption text causing that text to be unreadable.
Is there an option to hide that button?

If there is no specific reason that you have to use sendredirect...thne you can try request.forward.....

Warning when calling function using page text

Hi *,
I have a function in package which generates some parameters for a link I want to put on bottom of the View Form.
The HTML I put in the bottom of View Form user text field looks like this:

The problem is that Desinger throws a warning when I try to generate and the auto-install option gets ignored due to this error...
Can I set Designer to ignore this "parse error", so that the auto-install works again?

I have imported the rtf file, but it shows up as only one line with a grey line after it, even though there are multiple lines

When displaying web pages there is a 'thick line' through page text. Unable to take a snapshot, the distortion disappears. This also happens if I reload the page. If I scroll up/down the distortion comes
back.
I uninstalled FF, rebooted and re-installed. The problem is still there.
It appears that not every site displays the problem. Also, I tried Chromium and the problem is not
there. Using Chromium is not the answer for me, I would rather continue to use Firefox.
I am hoping to get some suggestions or a fix.

Does it seem related to scrolling? Here are some suggestions for dealing with display aberrations:
Could you try turning off a few Firefox settings. I'm not sure whether you need all of these, but no single one seems to solve the issue for everyone.
You usually need to restart Firefox in order for these changes to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Edit > Preferences > Advanced > General > "Browsing" section
Uncheck the first 3 boxes:
# Use autoscrolling
# Use smooth scrolling
# Use hardware acceleration when available
If you OK that and restart Firefox, is the issue resolved?

we have SP14. I tried to preview the news form that comes form SAP in the xml form editor. The problem is that I am not able to see the labels and buttons texts. Could you please let me know what might be the probable reason for this..

My last post was just a "warning" to whomever else may stumble on this thread. It was more for posterity, if it helps you then great. If it helps others then great.
There are certain circumstances and unusual times where you'd need to do this. And I don't know of a way to automate it.
You can get 3rd Party Acrobat PDF plugins that will do it (my mind has gone blank on their names?)

BUT if you want to do this in Acrobat Pro
Add a Watermark under Document>Watermark>Add
Make sure the text covers all the space in the PDF where text could lie
Or you could use an image - say a full page black JPG or something
Set the Opacity to 0
the watermark will be added to all pages
Then Advanced>Flattener Preview
make sure Convert text to outlines is selected
Select the option for All Pages in Document
Click Appy
Flatten the PDF and all the text should convert under the flattening

Welcome page text

I am currently ammending the welcome page and I have changed the logo but I cannot seem to find where the welcome text is refrenced.
i.e Word("Welcome_Page_text2")
Can someone help me find these so I can chnage the welcome page text.

The reference is in an XML file in the Language folder, although I can't quite remember which one it is for the welcome text. Try OrgChart.XML or use windows to search through the contents of the files for the reference you're looking for.

After opening Pages and typing some text, the text is not visible.
When I choose a template, it is not visible too.
I have not found any update for Pages to fix this Problem.

This is completely Blank. You must insert a Text Box:

You could try:
File > New From Template Chooser > Word Processing > Blank.
No need to insert a Text Box, just type. (You can still insert objects - Text Boxes, Shapes, Graphs, photgraphs - if you want.) New pages are added automatically as required.

Text invisible in iWork?

I just purchased a new mini and installed my iwork 08 cd.
When I open a document I see a blank page. However, the text is there. If I select all and change to dark blue, the text turns light blue. If I click on light blue, it turns pink. Click on yellow or black etc the text totally disappears (but it's still there). The cursur is there, but white, and I can only see it if it overlaps a letter while it blinks.
The text color is default black, but text is totally invisible when black.
I opened a letter template and have the same problem. Select all and select blue, the text shows up light blue.
The clip art picture on the letter template is invisible too. I can click "shadow" and an impression of the image shows up behind the box. I can drag the box across text and see an impression of the image, but otherwise it is invisible.
In the finder window I can see the preview for my document files, the text is there and black.
I've been using macs for 20 years, but this one has me completely stumped! Some kind of editing preference? I've been through every tab, inspector option, etcetcetc!!!! Help!

THIS DOES FIX THE PROBLEM.
If anyone is trying to run older iWork programs and getting the invisible text, run the Software update and it will fix the problem.
I actually had this problem a year ago when I installed on my last mac, and my brain was about to explode trying to remember how I solved it!
