Pages: Update failed

Hello,
Yesterday I tried to acces VERY IMPORTANT files from my Pages app -iPad2-, but they simply weren't available. I tried accessing them from iCloud on a browser and thankfully they were shown. However, whenever I try to open them, I get a "Update Failed" message. The only option it gives me when I select the fiiles is "delete file".
Is there anyway in which I can recover these files. As I said, they are very important.
Thank you.

I think I have solved the problem now. When I saved on my IMac I don't think the document synced all of its data content. I went back to my IMac and it synced fine. Maybe your Internet connection was cut before the whole file was uploaded.

  • ADF partial page updates fails after changing the JSESSIONID name

    Hi All.
I'm using Human Task WorkFlow (11g, wls 10.3.4).
I changed session-descriptor to WORKLISTAPPSESSIONID of woklistapp application and my deployed TaskFlow.
After that ajax partial pages updates fails with java.lang.NullpointerExpcetion in the log.
I think ajax based code does not use session-descriptor element (in the weblogic.xml) to determine the session id cookie name.
And i cant find where and what i have to modify?
    Guys, please, help.

  • There was a problem updating InDesign CC For more information see the specific error below.  Update Failed Download error.  Press Retry to try again or contact customer support.(49)

Posted the entire text from the error window, when trying to update, using the normal NON-TECHIE way to update any and all Adobe CC products, via the Creative Cloud updater installed when Adobe Creative Cloud subscription was purchased when first offered.
    The following occurs, ad nauseam:
There was a problem updating InDesign CC
For more information see the specific error below.
    Update Failed
Download error.  Press Retry to try again or contact customer support.(49)
Here's the crux of my frustration:
    (1) Customer Service is NOT contact-able, to receive LIVE help.
    (2) There is NO way for me to mitigate this "Download error", being a student learning InDesign, and NOT in any way capable of tweaking folders/files here and there.
    Therefore, the real question:
Given that a significant number of subscribers are having the above referenced issue with attempting to download the current update for InDesign, WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO, in order to get our contractually paid-for updates to our legally and contractually paid-for Adobe software, specifically in my case, InDesgin's current update?
Please, NO TECHNICAL mumbo-jumbo which most likely will cause the overwhelming majority of users, like me, to seriously corrupt their computer files, but rather an honest, straightforward "what to do" from real CS/Engineers working for Adobe, as to how to FIX this issue, period.
    ===========================================================
    UPDATE:
Here is a way in which I think I was able to "update" my InDesign CC application:
    (1) Sign-In to your Adobe Account
    https://www.adobe.com/
    (2) Click on the MENU icon
    (3) Click on the product InDesign icon
Your browser should display the page for Adobe InDesign CC
    https://www.adobe.com/products/indesign.html?promoid=KLXLU
    (4) Click on the Download icon,
Your browser should now display the page to download InDesign,
    https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/indesign
    (5) a Pop-Up window should open, and display:
      Launch Application
This link needs to be opened with an application.
with the first option to select being the CreativeCloud(URIHandler)
    (5) Select this application and click OK.
What happened when I followed steps (1) thorugh (5) is that:
    (a) InDesign CC(2014) was installed,
    (b) InDesign CC, updated, and then
    (c) InDesign CC(2014), also updated.
Why this all worked, is a mystery to me.
Looks like a separate, "new" version of InDesign, InDesign CC(2014), was installed, the existing "old" InDesign was updated, and then the newly installed Indesign CC(2014) was further updated.
A BIT MORE, when I launched my InDesign CC app, and checked to see if there were Updates Available, there in fact was an Adobe InDesign CC 64 bit (9.2.2) update.
I clicked on UPDATE and my "old" InDesign CC app was "successfully updated."
FURTHER INFO:  I may have neglected to list some important info ... OS:  Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center, 64-bit
Confused, I am able to launch BOTH of these apps, and hopefully I may use one of these versions of the InDesign CC app, to do some InDesign work.
    Will keep y'all posted!

  • Installing of Photoshop 5.0.2. update failed

    Hello!
I tried to install the update of Photoshop 5.0 (i.e. 5.0.2.) but the installing via setup.exe did not work even if I disabled the virus program... help would be appreciated very much!

    Hello!
Thanks for your reply! No, we are talking about Photoshop 5.0 (the very basic version, it's called 5.0. LE), NOT CS 5.0... did I mix it up? I think the following link is meant for Photoshop 5.0
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=205
I have downloded and saved the file,
and then clicked on SETUP.EXE then an error appears:
it says "C:\PROGRA~1\Symantec\s32EVNT1.DLL. The initialisation of DLL for an installable virtual driver failed."
    What should I do now?
Also, is it possible to buy an upgrade for 5.0.? I used to work with CS3 a bit some years ago, and I really MISS the history funktion where all the single steps can be seen & deleted if neccessary. Now I only can press "UNDO" for one time, that's it... if I made 2 mistakes, I can only undo 1 mistake
    THANKS

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Storeand turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

    The last update failed on
my window 7 home prermium pc, resulting in me having to try it manually download and install,
this also failed leaving my I tunes not working, I tried restore back to a
safer date, but every time it tried to update it failed. eventually it told me
to delete and reinstall, this fails due to the apple mobile device service
failing to start, and asking me if I have sufficient privileges to start system
service, I have tried all suggestions on iTunes page, ie delete everything to
do with apple, and start as administrator, nothing works, help please

I too have tried the latest iTunes (12.1.1.4) in Win7. I did a search for latent drivers as you noted but found none. I am glad it worked for you - I'm still no-joy at this point. I'm able to install AMDS over and over again, without issue - it just doesn't start then iTunes launch fails with Error 7. I have to manually remove it.
I am able to connect my iPhone via USB cable and access my photo storage on the phone. I am just not able to install iTunes anymore. I have attempted resolution to this issue for almost two months now. Until that time, I was content with what was installed. It was only when the proverbial update box appeared that I attempted to 'update' my iTunes. WHAT A MISTAKE putting blind faith into an Apple request to update. I SUGGEST NOT TO UPDATE YOUR ITUNES IF IT IS RUNNING PROPERLY!
I realize now, once again I might add, my reliance on software provided by others. It's like anything else, I shouldn't rely on just one method for anything. Time to search for a more pleasant alternative than Apple. Truly, when it worked, it was good at its job, but now that I am wasting time I am looking seriously at upgrading to another type of smartphone and media management software. Way too much trouble for anything as simple as this should be. I wonder, is this a result of another feud with Microsoft?

You are right. There are a lot more self-support tools available in Windows

The upgrade is not the 11.0.06, but that is an update. The upgrade is what
you can purchase if you had a previous version of Acrobat (at least AA 9).
The upgrade is substantially less in price than the full product. With the
upgrade you also have to have the SN of the previous product available for
the install. That is why I asked about the upgrade. Once you install AA XI,
then going to 11.0.06 is a free update (updates are changes in the
sub-version and are done quarterly or when there is a critical security
issue).  You can often fix installations by running a repair. In Windows
that is done either from Help>Repair or from the Control Panel. I do not
know the equivalent of the Control panel in the MAC. In any case I am glad
    you got it fixed.

  • Update failed with message U44MIP7. Now what?

Creative Cloud showed an update for PS CS6. I tried to update and it told me to close the program. I did so and the update failed. Subsequent attempts have also faile. Finally I get an error message U44MIP7. What does that mean and how do I update the program?

This means that the update has failed to be applied.  Depending on what update you are trying to download you can try downloading the update directly from the product update page.  You can find more details at Installation failed. Error U44M1P7 | Updates - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-u44m1p7-installing-updates-ccm.html.
Also if the update continues to fail or if a direct download is not available then please follow the second part of the referenced document in regards to reviewing your installation logs.

  • Why does Photoshop CS6 Update fail?

I subscribed to Creative Cloud (CS6) and none of the Photoshop PS6 updates work.  Every time I attempt to update PS6 the past four weeks, I get this error message: "Update Failed- Errors encountered during installation.(U44M1P7)." How to fix? My PS6 won't update, and Adobe tech support hasn't been able to help, I've contacted them via CHAT twice.  I'm running an iMac with 12GB of RAM, OSX 10.8.4.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

In February 2013 I installed CS 6 Design Standard on an iMac 2013 with Fusion Drive running OS 10.8.4 and I've never been able to update.
The updates always fail with this report: There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1D204.
When you click the customer support link in that message you go to a Creative Cloud page with no useful links.
I am still using CS 6 but I would like to update.

Hi I'm suffering with this issue Bug#3506758 - MySQL 5.6 Unable to Execute Queries

I was going to suggest that you needed to install the mandatory updater, but the Adobe help page for it says you shouldn't need to if you already have update 8 installed.  Might be worth verifying though.

  • Update failing.

tried to install the update today, and hit the out of memory error as described here :
    http://community.vzw.com/t5/Samsung-Fascinate/Gingerbread-DL-fails-due-to-memory-shortage/m-p/746206/highlight/false#M13309
(started my own thread to keep from hijacking the other guy's thread any worse)
I deleted some apps and cleared the cache and now get the update downloaded with no more out of memory errors, but now the update hits 100% and nothing happens. no instal, no reboot, nothing.
    Tried several times, same thing.
I've gone through all the suggestions from the other thread up to doing a factor reset, and still nothing happens after the update hits 100%.
I'm on attempt #6 or 7, and have now exceded my monthly allowence for data, and still the update will not apply.
Any way to download the update and manually apply it?

This is NOT a help. This link takes you to an area, in a thread, where people are talking about fixing their GPS not working. Not about the update failing in general.
The update on my wife's fascinate is total fail, its stuck in a reboot every 3mins or so loop, messing with google maps to fix the gps isn't a fix for this.

  • Latest iTunes update fails, Uninstall / Re-Install solution fails

    Hello All,
    Katrina, b noir ....
Several days ago after the last iTunes update failed, crippling iTunes connection to the iTunes Store, I came to the support pages for answers.
I started following the step by step instructions to uninstall and re-install iTunes 10.4.1.10, first hitch...Bonjour refused to go completely leaving stubborn files behind, I had to download LSPFIX.exe to finally clean its folder
As instructed by the apple support article, orderly deleted all the other files and folders, used msicuu2.exe, restarted the PC, and using rar extracted the individual .MSIs to continue with standalone installations.
Got two new errors, Apple Application Support will not install due to "A later version of Apple Application Support is already installed on this computer" and,
Apple Mobile Device Support failed to install when the AMDS stalled and displayed a 1053 error,
Tried to start the AMDS service many times without luck, I read somewhere that NETframework service pack 1.1 had resolved that 1053 error in the past...I am logged as admin on a Windows XP machine
Most of what I did successfully was learned from reading the posts and answers to/from other members.
I would really appreciate your assistance.
    Thanks and best regards.

For some reason when I try to download iTunes from the Apple site the file is flagged as dangerous.
That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?
