Pages will it install on IMac and IMac?

Will Pages bought for new Mini Ipad also install and work on IMac running OS 10.8 Mountain Lion ?

They will install and work but you must purchase Pages for OS X as well as Pages for iOS. Once purchased, you can download and install Pages on all the Macs and iOS devices you own. You can then share documents among them through iCloud.

  • No matter what website I am on all of a sudden the page will be covered in black and white lines and I can't see any of the page. What is happening and how do I fix it? It has only started since I loaded Firefox 4 this week.

I am very frustrated because I keep having my pages become covered completely in black and white lines. It has even happened on this page when I tried to use the drop down arrow by 'this happened'. I can sometimes read the page if I click over the area I want to read but this is not common. This has only been happening since I downloaded Firefox 4. I thought this would be a better version but now I am not so sure.

I do not want to download another virus program.. I do not believe it is a virus. I am running the full version of Norton 360 and it is doing a daily scan. I have Windows 7, 64 bit OS.
This is very irritating !! If I wanted Yahoo I would ask for it !

  • Windows 7 Pro will not install on iMac after HD replacement.

I have a late 2009 iMac on which I have OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion and ran Windows 7 Professional in Bootcamp. My iMac wound up having a defective hard drive which was just replaced last week under warranty. The problem is now I am unable to install Windows 7 in Bootcamp. I use the Bootcamp assist to partition the HD, it goes through the motions of installing Windoes 7 but at a certain point after 2 reboots and just before it would say Windows is setting up your computer for first use the screen goes black and nothing happens. The iMac is still turned on because if I hold the power button down I hear it shut off. When I turn it back on I can see that Windows was not fully installed.I tried to see what it says running in safe mode, and then I can see that it wants to continue setting Windows up but I get a message that Windows cannot be installed in Safe Mode, and I should reboot but then I get the black screen again. I've tried to repair the installation but to no avail. I've done this using both 32 bit and 64 bit with full disc of Windows 7 Professional but neither work.
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong and what I can do to rectify this problem? Thanks in advance for any help.

I hope you don't mind me asking this question for Jack the Newbie.
You say i have to use a Windows XP-Pro Install-CD that includes SP2 as well as the JMicron driver for the JMicron IDE-Port which i have my Optical Drive connected to.I know this is telling me how to fix my problem, but what i would also like to know is WHY do i have to install it with SP2 & the JMicron driver like this on my P965 when it installed on my old pc with just the XP-Pro Install-CD.
Your Windows Installation CD should be as up to date as possible, especially for newer hardware.  SP1 is from 2002, SP2 was released in 2004. Neither SP1 nor SP2 install CDs provide the proper drivers for the JMicron chipset used on your mainboard.  I cannot give a detailed list about the differences between SP1 and SP2. I just know, that there are a lot of problems when people do not use SP2 on Intel 975/965 Chipset-boards which where released in 2006.
When you say that your installation works fine on your old PC I believe you.  It worked on my old Laptop too.  However I was not able to install XP Pro on my 975X-board without SP2 at all until I upgraded my Installation CD.

    Garfield,
I had exactly the same problem--because I had my optical drive hooked up to a Promise IDE controller, rather than to a mobo IDE connection.  Turns out the Promise will read and write the optical drives OK, just won't boot from them properly.  And, somehow, that affects Windows Setup.
I don't know anything about the JMicron and the need for SP2.  But, as you can see from my sig, I'm using XP Pro SP1, and once I moved my NEC 3500 back to the mobo IDE (as secondary behind my IDE hard disk) everything worked like a champ.
    Just my $.02.

To relate Garfields problem with your solution is a mistake.  Your board does not use any JMicron hardware, has NVidia chipset instead of Intel and an AMD CPU.  Your are talking about a totally different Setup here.

  • Pages failed to install on iMac.

Error message advising to use Purchases to try again.  This does not work either.  Very unhappy as I just purchased iMac today.  Advice???  I am new to iMac but never had this sort of trouble with apps on ipad.

    You should familiarize yourself with using a Mac and OS X;
    http://www.apple.com/support/macbasics/
As far as the current issue, stating something doesn't work is ambiguous, you need to describe in detail what you did, the results and how you have tried to solve the issue to get help.

  • Update 3.1.2 will not install on imac

I installed aperture from a disc originally not app store. It's not available via software updates and when I attempt to install the manually downloaded version, it gives me an error saying that I need to have aperture 3.0.2 at a minimum to install the update. I have always updated aperture immediately so obviously thats not the issue. It's almost as if the OS does not think I have it installed. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Kirby Krieger wrote:
The first thing to confirm is that you have not renamed the program and that it is installed in your "Applications" folder. You must have "~/Applications/Aperture" in order to install an update.
    Kirby,
Did you mean to put the tilde in the path? That would indicate the users Application folder, not the system one. For updates and such to work I believe Aperture needs to be in the system application folder, no?

  • Apple pages will not install on my iPhone 5, what do I do?

I downloaded apple pages because I really did enjoy keynote greatly, however it got delete by mistake. Now when I go to re-download it I continuously get the message "you've already purchased this, so it will download now at no additional charge"...but not install... I don't know how to fix this. It's never happened to me before.

No it issn't an iphone issue.
The issue is with yahoo and their server.
You can do a search in the forum "yahoo mail"  and see how many threads there are about not being able to connect to Yahoo server and the answer is the same it's Yahoo problem not Apple or iphone.

  • Livetype will not install after erasing and re-installing Tiger

    Hello,
I recently had to install a new hard drive, of which I partitioned, erased and installed OS X Tiger onto my PowerBook G4 15" (1.67/1.5 GHZ).
After all that, I tried re-installing FCP (5). The FCP part worked, but Livetype refused to be installed. So I searched for updates, and found an OSX Dual update, FCP update, and Livetype update, all of which were updated successfully. But Livetype will still not install for some reason.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Shawn

Sorry, should have been more articulate in my description.
During the installation of Livetype, after choosing the destination for livetype to be _Application support_ and starting the installation, the program goes up to 20% during the writing files procedure... and stops.
    Says Please try install again.

  • NI-IMAQ for USB 1.1.1 will not install with LV8 and Vision 8.0 or 8.21

When I try to install NI-IMAQ for USB 1.1.1 I get a message that vision 7.1 or higher with  Labview 7.0 or higher;  or Vision Assistant 7.1 or higher is required, I have tried the vision 8.0  and vision 8.2.1 packs with Labview 8.0 with no success.

    Hello mcg,
I am not familiar with NI-IMAQ for USB 1.1.1.  The newest version I know of that we have is 1.0 at the following link:
    NI-IMAQ for USB Cameras 1.0
You are correct that you need LabVIEW 8.0 and Vision 8.0 installed.  After this you should be able to install this very simply.  If that's still giving you trouble, try repairing LabVIEW and repairing Vision (Start » Control Panel » Add or Remove Programs » National Instruments Software » LabVIEW or Vision » Repair).
Please let us know if you have any more trouble on this.  Please post a screenshot of the error as well.
    Regards,

  • My mac is stuck on this page that says installing one item and its been 3 days and nothing has installed i Cant escaped from it I dont know what to do            . HELP?!?!!?!!?!!

I really need help like its so weird

You've posted in a PowerPC old vintage system discussion area.
Do you have an Intel based Mac or a G4/G5 model prior to 2006?
If the computer is running OS X 10.7.5 or later, you may try to Force Quit the computer
by holding the power button down for about a minute. Then try to start the computer
in Recovery mode and if that is present, you can use OS X Utilities, and choose Disk
utility to see if repairing the hard disk drive helps.
    Or from the original OS X install DVD, if you have a PPC Mac w/ OS X 10.5.8;
or if Intel Mac w/ optical drive & retail or original install-restore on DVD... Insert
the DVD and hold the C key down on startup to use tools on the Install DVD.
Or before going this far, on attempt to restart, try SafeBoot where you hold the Shift
key down after the start tone, and keep holding it until you see the login screen,
for your user password. Continue holding the Shift key down until you see Desktop
or Finder, then let the key go. This does may allow you to run Disk Utility from
the system in the computer, to see if repair disk permissions can help it.
You may have to use Recovery to attempt a reinstall of the OS X, if you have a
computer that is an Intel-based Mac. You posted in an older Mac area for items
built before 2006, that is before Macs had intel processors: they ran PowerPC.
Should the issue be the probability of whatever you were attempting to get, did not
make it, due to failure of the internet, or other issue, that may have timed out.
With poor or spotty internet, software or system updates or upgrade is problematic.
And if you were also using Wi-Fi, not an Ethernet connection, that usually is worse.
Since iOS is not a Mac OS X system, that is meaningless or not helpful in determining
anything about a Mac, or troubleshooting one. So actual related information is missing.
To supply info about your Computer, its OS X version, and other configuration specs
would help anyone else seeing your vague question.
    Good luck

  • S10 will not install on FreeBSD and Linux friendly hardware

I have been utterly unable to successfully install S10 on hardware that FreeBSD and many linux flavors work on. Can someone please point me to informational resources that might help me understand what I need to do to get it working?
I posted a query last week, but the support volunteers apparently don't think my problem is worthy of attention or something.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for asking!
I can sucessfully configure and install disk1. After that, the system wants to boot from the hard drive to complete the installation.
When the HD boot is attempted, a long pause then:
Timeout on target 0 lun 0. Initiating recovery.
I have reviewed every piece of documentation that I could find regarding what could be causing this and what I could do for corrective action. My guess is that my SCSI hardware is not supported in some way, but there's woefully little information on Solaris 10 x86 hardware compatibility.
I went through all the "device adding" kludge at boot time, no affect. My system can only boot Solaris 10 from the CD media.
I sincerely appreciate your attention. I'm usually really good at self help in an open source environment. But I have no source code, so it's REALLY hard to troubleshoot this without source code.

  • I have tried to install the new Adobe Flash Player 11 dozens of times, but it will only install to 7% and then stops.

I have tried to install the new Adobe Flash Player 11 dozens of times, but it stops at 7%.   What to do?

Sorry, this question is not resolved. I accidentally made it "This question is Assumed Answered."

  • Firefox will not install, extracting starts and reaches 99% but then the window closes and it does nothing.

I have run as administrator, compatibility everything.
I cannot get past the extracting phase.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is interfering with the installation of Firefox.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes installing work.

  • Trying to reinstall LabVIEW "no software will be installed or removed"

    Dear all,
For some reason I wanted to remove and reinstall LabVIEW. However, from "Programs and Features" I couldn't do it (the uninstall button was not active). So, I deleted the entire "National Instuments Download" folder.  Now when I run the setup of the LabVIEW I get the message: "no software will be installed or removed" and I can not do anything. How can I solve this?
    Thanks in advance.

    oahsen wrote:
I am using Windows 7. After deleting the "National Instuments Download" folder, I clicked to "National Instruments Software" in the Programs and Features, and it said something about not being able to locate something and I clicked yes and now I cant see any "National Instruments Software" in Programs and Features
So you just clicked yes to a dialog box that you didn't understand what it was asking? Well, that's how things break. The most likely question you were being asked was that Windows could not find the installation and was asking whether you wanted to remove the entry from the Programs and Features list, thinking that the folder was deleted from disk rather than performing an uninstallation process. This removes the registry entry. The uninstaller should still exist on disk in the "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\NIUninstaller\uninst.exe". Note that if you're using a 64-bit OS and then "Program Files" will likely be "Program Files (x86)".
