Pages will temp freeze, then unfreeze

Greetings.
When I open pages, it will load the template just fine. However, I will begin to work on it, and it will lock up...giving me the color wheel. After about 2-3 minutes it will unfreeze. I will try to work on it some more, then it will repeat the freeze.
I have 1.25G of memory on my new 14" iBook, and I've installed the update.
Any ideas?

Good to hear you did Permissions. Did you run it from the CD or Utilities?
1. First open Finder then make sure you're in column view.
2. On the left you'll see the house icon it's your home folder; click it.
3. In the next column click Library, next column click Caches
4. With Caches highlighted do a Command A, this will select everything in the Caches folder, now delete them all. The path is sometimes written as ~/Library/Caches. The ~ (tilde) indicating your home folder.
5. Back in the first column click the HDD icon
6. Next column click Library next column click Caches. Again with Caches highlighted select all in the Caches folder then delete them. You'll need to enter the administrators password.
7. In the second column click System, next column Library then next column Caches. With Caches highlighted delete all in that Caches as well, you'll again need to enter the administrators password.
8. Restart the computer
9. After restart you may clear the cache. If you delete the Trash before reboot some files my not delete because they're being held on to by the OS.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you're only deleting items in the Caches folders!
Is there a downside to all this, not that I'm aware of. Without any ill effects I've been doing this once a week on my systems.
While I'm in a cleanup mode I'll clear the Recent folder. In the upper left click the blue Apple > Recent Items, click Clear Menu. This doesn't have any effect on what we're doing in steps 1-9 but some folks don't know about it. This list is shortcuts to items recently opened. Or, for easy access you may leave them there; a personal thingy.

Try force quitting the Mail app:
Option+Command+Esc, then select Mail from the list. See if that helps.

Freezes, then Unfreezes

My Ipod Nano all of a sudden froze but when i plugged it into the computer and then took it out after charging it began to work. Then it froze again. So i did the same thing and now it is working. I was wondering does anyone know why it is doing this? and how will i be able to fix it?

Playback pauses and ipod freezes then unfreezes after 20 seconds

Description of the issue:
When playing continuously song after song, the ipod freezes and music stops about 5 seconds in to most songs. After about 20 seconds, playback resumes and the ipod is responsive again.
Symptoms:
Only happens after one song ends and the next one begins.
Doesn't happen every time
iPod freezes and won't accept commands from the click wheel.
Troubleshooting: Reset has not resolved the issue.
Background: Worked fine before last night, when I added some more files to my itunes library by convering them from wma to AAC. I received the message during synch that itunes couldn't copy all the files from itunes, since there's not enough room on the ipod.
Once I get home today, I'll try reformatting, etc.

I am running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 when I try to go to some sites(amazon,best buy, )to make a purchase the page seems to freeze.the loading bar goes so far and stops.whats up with that?

It isn't the fw in Network you want o use or look at, that's for something completely different.
My first suspect is the Power Adapter on the LaCie has gone.
At the Apple Icon at top left>About this Mac, then click on More Info, then click on Hardware>Firewire, what is listed there?
Reset the Firewire bus
If your Firewire or USB isn't recognizing any device. A solution which has worked for some whose hard drive became invisible in 10.4 was simply to follow these four steps to reset the Firewire/USB bus:
1. Shut the machine down.
2. UNPLUG the power lead to the computer and any firewire/USB drive or devices.
3. leave it for 10 minutes.

When i browse to a webpage firefox freezes then (not responding)

I turn on firefox and everythign seems alright, but once i click on the URL blank and type something in when it tries to load the page, it hangs,freezes, then eventually says "Not Responding" and at that point i have to End the process. This hasn't been ever happening to me before. If just started today.

I just got my mac a month ago so go easy on me but I was just working with the pages that was already on it, and then today I know it updated, and now I am unable to open a lot of my documents!:( Idk what you mean by the icloud version lol sorry! As for the version, when I open pages from my apps and click 'about' it says version 5.1? And when I open the document it just goes grey and kind of blinks and doesnt open? Windows 7 64 bit: I just upgraded Firefox to 7.1 , I can't watch video on youtube, video freezes, then the browser freezes. I right click on the icon showing the page is open on the taskbar & click close then cancel, it starts then freezes again?

When I watch any video on youtube, every video first starts with short freezes then freezes the Firefox 7.1 Browser window. I have to right click on the icon that shows the browser is open on the taskbar at the bottom of windows and then click on close& cancel to get it to start working again. Also, on any site, I am having problems with links & functions that suddenly stop working, site connections being dropped frequently for no reason, my Modem is stable & internet shows connected. On facebook when I click a button(photos) it doesn't work, in Amazon I click on "submit" and the button stops functioning, in yahoo mail I can click on a button to "send" mail and it won't work. I can open them in IE9 or Chrome but not in Firefox. I have tried disabling all plugins.I also have tried disabling all but flash and still the problems persist. I have uninstalled and reinstalled FF.

Command + R *should* take it to a recovery console. Command + Option + P + R resets the PRAM, but that doesn't sound like your fix.If all of your buttons are working fine on OSX side, I would ignore PRAM / NVRAM / SMC reset tricks, since these are tested as working fine.
I would say you should probably reinstall the drivers for bootcamp. I tried this with 5 in Windows 8 and it gives you an option to repair. The reason I say this is because the UI isn't showing up, which means that it's using another driver.
If this doesn't work, go into device manager and then roll back to your previous settings.
One more thing comes to mind. Do you ever use Parallels or VMWare to load your bootcamp partition? They have their own driver packages which can cause some unwanted behavior when using windows natively.
One last thing you can do is try to by-pass the GUI powerplan entirely. You can use the Powercfg command, which, as it happens, has instructions on how to forcefully set the brightness values. You probably won't be able to make it through these instructions since you will get an error at some point, but that will give us more diagnostic information.

We need to see the entire crash report, particularly the binary images description:
Go to your Applications Folder and open your Utilities Folder. Open the application Console.
In the left-hand column, click on Crash Reporter.
Click on the small triangle under Crash Reporter in the l/h column and they will all be listed.
Scroll down to the latest Safari report and click on it.
Now click on the r/h column (which now only shows THAT crash report and then Command-a to copy it all.
Come back here and Command-v it to post it here!

Do you have the same problem with printing from other apps, such as TextEdit? Have you looked at your printer's control panel to see if an error condition is displayed there, and if so, what is it?
