Pages with autoupdate features (e.g. live scoreboards) won't update when displayed in a Firefox tab. Firefox recently installed replacing IE as default browser, several add-ons installed (e.g. Flashblock, AdBlock Plus, CoolPreviews, Real Player Plugin, Shockwave Flash, US English Dictionary, Move Media Player, Adobe Acrobat Reader, WPF, Veetle TV, Silverlight) no other problems observed.

Hmm. Have you tried selectively disabling some of your extensions (e.g. Adblock Plus, Flashblock) to see if they were interfering with the autoupdate?
If you start up Firefox in [[Safe mode]], you should be able to start Firefox with all extensions disabled. If that works, then you could try some detective work with activating extensions to see which one is the culprit.
Is Javascript enabled? under Tools > Options Content

I understand that you're using Flex 3.x SDK with AIR 2 beta 2 SDK overlay.
Make sure you're using (linking in your project) the Flex3 compatible UI lib from AIR 2 beta 2 SDK: that's the one under "frameworks\libs\air\flex3\applicationupdater_ui3.swc".
The default UI lib available with AIR 2 beta2 SDK under "frameworks\libs\air\applicationupdater_ui.swc" is compatible with Flex4.

We have a dead line and our product needs the international version 1.4 to be updated on our exsiting user base, one of our customers has over 700 workstations.
If the solution is to manually dowload and install this version then Web Start totally fails as a web centric solution.
I see that creating our own servlet breaches SUN's license agreement, so give us a developer servlet we can use.

The auto download servlet supports both international and us-only versions of Java 1.4.0.
Java Web Start includes the current locale in the request to the servlet, and it returns the
US only version if the locale is en_US , or the international version otherwise.
Curently there is no way to get the servlet to download the international version when the
clients locale is en_US.Sorry but havent you just anwsered the question I put, either the servlet supports international clients or it dosent and your anwser just puts more wood on the fire, it dosent, but it could.
Also we recognize that there is a problem when an application needs the international version, and >>the client already has the US version installed. In this case Java Web Start will not attempt
to contact the servlet since it thinks it has an appropriate version allready.Also if you client requires an international version of the JRE it is because it requires that version period, hence if the version tag within the JNLP file specifies JRE1.4 international, then it dosent matter what Web Start may or may not think, the JNLP file written for the application by the author should determine its fate.
The only reason Web Start should determine locale on a target machine would be the text displayed for the dialog interface between the end user.
Its a simple case of checking do I have 1.4 international, "Yes or No", at this point I dont care if 1.4 English is installed, or locale is English, JNLP file asked Web Start, if 1.4 international was installed, "No", Ok then call servlet and request 1.4 international. Simple....

Can I turn off iTunes Match auto update feature

I often tether my iPhone 5 to my MBP and while I have a large data allowance, I'd like to only tap into it when I choose to.
I've noticed that several times throughout the day, iTunes Match tries to scan my library and send info back to Apple.
Funny thing is, it does this even when there's nothing new in the library. I understand why it updates so frequently and when I'm on Wi-Fi I don't mind it at all.
Is there anyway to switch this to a manual operation rather than automatic?
A bonus question: I know it's sending data back to Apple's servers when it does this, but is it any amount worth fretting over?
Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
As far as I'm aware there is no auto update feature in iTunes Match on your computer. It would seem that you have a bug - the only time that iTunes should update is when you add new tracks, even then it is not immediate unless you select add to iCloud.
Occasionally, iTunes Match goes through the process of scanning my library again but this only happens after launching.

Reordering pages: No auto renumbering feature?

I think I'm missing something here. I've changed the order of a few pages, and it went well. However, the original page numbers are intact, and now out of sequence.
Must I manually change all of my page numbers to reflect their new numerical order, then re-publish?
Trust me, I've checked the help file, and thoroughly searched the discussion forum, but find nothing about page renumbering - and certainly not an auto-renumbering feature.

Sorry, there is no pagination or page numbering on/off feature. Silly that such a basic function does not exist. Pages are numbered according to their order of creation, and so I had to renumber 30+ pages manually, and during the re-publish process I got an error message regarding one of the page numbers and I have no idea what it meant, nor how to correct the error.
Let us hope that a few of the very basic features that we have come to expect in a word processor - like auto pagination, will be included in the next iWeb patch or version upgrade.

Trouble migrating from SDK 4.1.0 to 4.5.1 with auto updater

I have just upgraded to Flash Builder 4.5 from 4 but am now having problems with the auto updater.
I am getting this error: There was an error downloading the update. Error# 16824

But have yet to succeed.
Currently my app contains the new update swcs as instructed in the above and points to the following xml file:

If you have the right software and follow strictly the instructions you shouldn't face any issue to upgrade, here are a few advises:
1. Create and save in an external location a backup file of the appliance, for this you can go to System Configuration/ACS Backup.
2. To upgrade from 4.2.0.124 to 4.2.1.15 you will need to download two files from the Cisco page:
Make sure to install FIRST the one called "ACSse-Upgrade-Pkg-appl-mng-v4.2.1.15-K9.zip", after that you can install the other one. This installation order is very very important, otherwise the upgrade will fail.
3. In case that something goes wrong with the upgrade don't worry, you have a backup file so you still can install again 4.2.0.124, restore the backup and start the upgrade again.

Windows 7 x64
Flash Player 11.7
mms.cfg located in C:\Windows\Syswow64\Macromed\Flash
mms.cfg settings:
AutoUpdateDisable=1
SilentAutoUpdateEnable=0
I opened the Flash Player Settings Manager and under Advanced tab, verified "Never check for updates" is enabled.
I have both Standard and Administrative users receiving the following warning to update Flash player. Again, I have verified the settings are correct and auto update is showing as disabled.

Unfortunately, it's difficult to troubleshoot this issue after the fact due to how the auto-update notification is triggered. If auto-updates are disabled in the mms.cfg file the update notification should not display, however, there is an edge case scenario that could result in the update notification displaying.
First, to clarify some comments regarding the update settings in the mms.cfg file:
The default update settings are:
AutoUpdateDisable=0 (notification update is enabled)
SilentAutoUpdateEnable=0 (silent auto-update is disabled)
Silent auto-update is an opt-in option, it is not the default setting. When installing using the EXE installer if the system is not already opted into silent auto-update the user will be prompted to select an update option and the mms.cfg file will be updated with this selection. The MSI installer does not write to the mms.cfg file, therefore, it does not prompt the user to select an update option. When Flash Player is installed using the MSI installer Flash Player simply honors whatever settings are already present in the mms.cfg file.
SilentAutoUpdateEnable=1 enables silent auto-update ONLY if AutoUpdateDisable=0 is set.
AutoUpdateDisable=1 disables notification AND silent auto-updates
As of Flash Player 11.5, uninstalling Flash Player using the standalone uninstaller will reset the update options to the default setting (documented on page 8 of the Flash Player Administrator's Guide):
AutoUpdateDisable=0 (notification update is enabled)
SilentAutoUpdateEnable=0 (silent auto-update is disabled)
If your Flash Player deployment process is to first uninstall the Flash Player using the standalone uninstaller and then install Flash Player using the MSI installer the system will be configured for notification updates since this is the default setting. In this case you must re-deploy the custom mms.cfg file to disable updates at the same time Flash Player is installed using the MSI installer (e.g. uninstall, install using MSI, deploy custom mms.cfg file disabling updates). If the custom mms.cfg file disabling updates is not re-deployed at installation time it is possible for Flash Player to detect an update is available resulting in the upate notification displaying.
Regarding 'loud' releases, if you rely on silent auto-updates to update Flash Player within your organization, and want to avoid the update notification associated with a 'loud' release, you can host the updates on an internal server. Details on how to do this are on page 19 of the Flash Player Administrator's Guide.
This functionality is tested extensively and we have not been able to reproduce the update notification displaying when updates are disabled. Nonetheless, I will try using the various Flash Player versions mentioned in this thread.

For this i have created a managed bean (userState) and i stored the selected emp no into that managedbean

But i am not sure how to set that userState.currentEmpId as parameter to this page...

I that if we drag drop the query like find EmpById then automatically an Action Binding editor will be populated and asks for the paramter info...
But here VO is not doing ...
So please give me links... how to cheive this....

i am trying to update my novell clients with the acu feature of the novell client itself!
i am planing to deploy: nov client 2 sp3 ir6
i set up acu and everything is working fine... but after the installation of the novell client and a reboot or logout (doesnt matter) my login screen looks like this:

fast user switching becomes available and i dont want to have fast user switching enabled... i only want the novell login box to appear!
i tried to disable fast user switching with gpo: gpedit.msc -> computer configuration -> administrative templates -> system -> logon -> hide entry points for fast user switching! no success!
i also checked the novell client proberties under advanced login and everything is set up as usual... attached you can find my ncpf.txt file!

So are you saying that user are logged in even after a reboot (as in the picture you posted)?
I "hide entry points for fast user switching" and that setting works for us with NC2SP3IR6 adn WIN7SP1PRO, what version of Windows are you using?

Like what? Software updates are performed in the background if you haven't changed the default. Once done the old version is replaced by the new version wherever it resides.

Win 7 keeps updating and installing itunes12 on my computer. I do not want ver12 as it locks up my computer or makes my apps run very slow. I have un installed it numerous times, deleted previous libraries,and installed ver 11.4. It works great then in the morning ther is ver 12 installed again. I have turned off auto updates and still have this problem. What have I missed?
