Paging feature on Call Manager 6.x

Is there a way to setup Paging on Call Manager 6.x without using third party software like IPCelerate,Berbee etc.

Paging functionality is not built-in to CUCM 6. You can either use 3rd party software as you mentioned or integrate with an overhead paging unit such as Valcolm.
Hope this helps.

    Hi Zeeshan,
    This feature (Group Paging) is not built-in to any CCM version but is most possible (via IP Phone speaker and Overhead) using these highly rated Third party products;
    CDW-Berbee Informacast

  • Paging with Call Manager

Does Call Manager v8.5 support paging on mulitple phones (groups of phones) simultaneously or does it require another product? We purchased IPSESSIONs a while back to use for paging but I was told that the function was in Call Manager. We have had CM for a few years and we are just now getting ready for paging and some other UC functions.
Next question.   With IP sesssions I have to configure on IP multicasting throughout our network to support paging. Can I assume that even if Call Manager supported it internally without the necessity of IPSESSIONs that I would still need the IP Multicasting protocol support on our entire network for paging?

    Hello,
Chris is right that 3rd party app is needed. But I don't agree that Informacast is the best one.
What about an alternative in 2Ring PHONE SERVICES which can deliver much more than just paging?
If you are interested in getting more info, follow this link: http://www.2ring.com/NewJuice
FREE and TRIAL licenses are obviously available.
As for your 2nd question, yes, multicast should be enabled in entire network.

Well, that is one idea that I've already had, Linc, but I'm reluctant to use the "nuclear option" for obvious reasons. I'm actually wondering now if the Secure Cert / OD problem is affecting Profile Manager. See this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23686348#23686348

  • Multiple IPs in Call Manager

    Hi,
We need to configure multiple  IP addresses in a Call Manager version 8. Our customer has three diferent IP networks: One for management, one for signaling and one for media. Call Manager is connected to those networks using three NICs with different IP Addresses a should separate traffic.
Is it possible in CCM? I guess no, but is there any work around to get this functionality?
    Thanks and best regards.
    Raul

Not possible in CallManager, but you can achieve this with "VRF select" on IOS routers

  • Do I get full conference call management options on iPhone 6 model A1549 if using it with GSM carriers?

I have iPhone 6 model A1549, bought from and currently using with Verizon. You all must be aware that we can use the same phone for GSM carriers like at&t as well. Now we all know that some of the features related to conference calling are not available on CDMA carriers, like we cant have more than 2 callers, and we can't manage conference calls by making the conversation with one party private for some time and again switching back to conference mode, disconnecting a particular party instead of having to end the entire call etc. reference link- iPhone: Understanding phone features - Apple Support These features are available on GSM models and carriers, I just wanted to ask if I use a GSM SIM from a GSM carrier on this model, do I get these additional conference call management options or I am restricted to Verizon like experience while being on at&t (and while using the at&t SIM in this model)

Yes, I am dealing with this right now on at&t with a 6 plus. I've been down the same road as you. I got it to work with a windows phone yesterday but not my 6 plus when I switched back to the iPhone. My wifes 6 works fine. I believe it is an at&t issue and not an 8.3 issue. After dealing through several levels of support at at&t, they are telling me it has to do with their transition to hd voice. Some people are having this issue because they are updating their system and some peoples phone profile, on phones that have hd voice capabilities, are not getting added to their line and call forwarding will not work without it. I have a trouble ticket open to their engineering dept and they promise it will work for me on or before the 24th of april. Engineering has to build my phones profile so call forwarding will work with my iPhone.
This is frustrating because like you, I need to forward my calls because I have no signal in my office and need to forward to another phone so I can get my calls. If at&t would quit dragging their feet and enable wifi calling, this wouldn't be an issue for me. I would suggest you put more pressure on at&t and escalate this until it gets resolved. Or put your sim in a phone that does not have hd voice capability and see if it works then.
Good luck. I'm keeping my fingers crossed this will be fixed for me on or before the 24th. We'll see.
EDIT: I see you did put it in another phone and it worked. That backs up that the issue is at&t and their hd voice upgrades. They had no explanation as to why some work and some don't, but have them make sure a profile for your phone is on the line. If not, they'll need to build one for the phone so that it''l work. At least that's the story for now. Like I said, I'll know more in a day or two.

  • Cisco Call Manager License

Can anyone please tell me if Cisco CME Voice Recording licences need to be annually updated?
Also Call Manager Express licences cover the users indefinitely?

    Hi Manthan,
    Cisco Unified CME Permanent License
When you purchase a Cisco Unified CME permanent license, the permanent  license is installed on the device when the product is shipped to you. A  permanent license never expires and you will gain access to that  particular feature set for the lifetime of the device across all IOS  release. If you purchase a permanent license for Cisco Unified CME , you  do not have to go through the Evaluation Right to Use and Right To Use  (RTU) licensing processes for using the features. If you want to  purchase a CME-SRST license for your existing device, you have to go  through the RTU licensing process for using the features. There is no  change in the existing process for purchasing the license.
The Cisco Unified CME permanent license is available in the form of an  XML cme-locked3 file. You should get the XML file and load it in the  flash memory of the device. To install the permanent license from the  command prompt, use the license install flash0:cme-locked3 command. The cme-locked3 is the xml file of the license.
    Collaboration Professional Suite License
Collaboration Professional is a new suite of licenses. The Collaboration  Professional Suite can be purchased either as a permanent license or an  RTU license.
Collaboration Professional Suite Permanent License —When you purchase  the Collaboration Professional Suite license, by default, the Cisco  Unified CME licenses are delivered as part of the Collaboration  Professional Suite. You do not have to separately install and activate  the Cisco Unified CME license. The Collaboration Professional Suite  permanent license is available in the form of an XML file. You should  get the XML file and load it in the flash memory of the device. To  install the permanent license from the command prompt, use the license install flash:lic_name command.
Collaboration Professional Suite RTU License—When you purchase the  Collaboration Professional Suite RTU license, you do not have to go  through the Evaluation Right to Use process. However, you have to go  through the RTU licensing process for using the Cisco Unified CME  features. To install the Collaboration Professional Suite RTU license  from the command prompt, use the license install flash0:colla_pro command. To activate the license, use the license boot module c2951 technology-package collabProSuitek9 command.

  • Cisco Call Manager 8.5 and Lync 2013

    Dear all,
Our customer wants to integrate their Lync 2013 to the Cisco Call Manager 8.5.
Out of some not so recent information i thought that if u want to use the enterprise voice of lync you'll have to make a sip trunk between Cisco Call Manager & Lync 2013.
I think that this still counts, i've also heard that there have been a moderate amount of changes between cucm 8.5 and cucm 8.6 on matters of sip.
I'm unable to find them though, also what does CUCI - Lync do?
    Kr,
    Yannick Vranckx

    Hi Yannick,
There can be three types of integrations between Lync and Cisco Systems
    1)      Direct SIP Trunk between Lync Server and Call Manager - In this, we can setup shared line between Cisco extensions and Lync extensions, and Sip trunk between the servers. Any Cisco phone / Lync client  can call each other vice-versa. Initial setup needs planning, but later it does not need much configurations in client side. The following document explains the configurations needed.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucilync/9/CUCI_BK_C0B36AC1_00_cisco-uc-integration-for-microsoft.pdf
    2) CUCILYNC, which is like Cisco Jabber client but connects with Lync and Call Manager: Lync Client <----> CUCILYNC <-----> CUCM
In this option, a plug-in is installed in each client side. Although initial configurations is easier, each user needs to install the client and operate it. The below document explains the configuration and setup.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucilync/9/CUCI_BK_C0545A41_00_cisco-uc-integration-for-microsoft.html
    3) RCC (Remote Call Plugin) which just provides basic call control feature but for that you need Cisco Unified Presence Server: Lync Client <----> CUPS <-----> CUCM

  • Error on Call Manager 7

Hi all we have 2 Call Manager 7.1.2.31900-1 boxes. Recently we had a power outage and the servers were not shut down properly. One remaining issue we are having trouble resolving is this error below. It appears in the logs every 15 seconds or so. Any ideas on how to resolve it? I think it might be a corrupt file or file permissions but I can't access the real unix shell so how does one fix this sort of thing?
Cisco CallManager: Not able to create Trace path /var/log/active/cm/trace/dbl/sdi/ccm/. Ensure that the path is valid and the application user has appropriate security settings for this path"
    Thanks much in advance

    Hi,
It looks like a rebuild is needed. Please check the following
    https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCth53322/?reffering_site=dumpcr
    Symptom:
    1)System had a non-graceful shutdown.
2)System is in a running state but part of the file system is corrupt causing certain features to fail.
    Conditions:
Server goes down non-gracefully for any reason.
A  non-graceful shutdown is any time the server is powered down by means  other than through the GUI or CLI command "utils system shutdown"
Cisco recommends a UPS in the release notes already to avoid this.
    Workaround:
Rebuild  the server if their is a non-graceful shutdown regardless if the  recovery disk was required. As any non-graceful shutdown can cause file  system corruption even if no symptoms are seen immediately.

  • Call Manager Phone Services to Personal Address Book

    Cisco Forum:
I'm trying to configure Call Manager (8.6.2.x) for Phone Services so that we can use the IP Phone's Service button to access the Personal Address Book & Fast Dials.  While I have the option (Test PAB-Fast Dial) appearing when the Services button is selected, the process ends with the bottom screen shot showing "Error in Authentication."
By using the Directories button then selecting the Personal Address Book, I can successfully log into the application.
What am I missing?  Below is the current URL being used.
    Thank you.
    Dan
    http://10.2.5.234:8080/ccmpd/login.do?name=#DEVICENAME#&service=pab

    Nelson:
The URL that is working for us is:
    http://10.2.5.234:8080/ccmpd/pdCheckLogin.do?name=#DEVICENAME#&service=pab
then use your own IP address for the Call Manager node.
Our Call Manager configuration is shown below.
To access the feature, we hit the Services Button, are prompted with a Personal Address Book option, select it, then are promoted for a UserID/PIN (shown further below), at which point I enter my LDAP ID and a PIN.  The PIN is created in Call Manager under User Management ==> End User ==> PIN.
    Good luck with your process.

  • MOH Sources for 2 800 #'s for call manager

    Hey all,
How would i go about configuring 2 MOH sources for 2 different 800 numbers coming into call manager?
Im stuck at trying to find the location in call manager where the 800 numbers are configured?
Where abouts would you be able to see what incoming pri configurations are in call manager or am i looking in the wrong place.
Bascially, i want to use a different MOH source file for a second 800 number.
    Thank you everyone!

What you translate is dependent on what the telco is sending you and the value configured for Significant Digits in the gateway configuration. If the telco sends you 10 digits and the Significant Digits field is set to All, then you would translate the entire 800 number.
For Unity, you configure MOH using the device pool of the Unity ports. You can configure the device pool under System -> Device Pool and assign the device pool to the Unity ports under Feature -> Voicemail -> Cisco Voice Mail Port. So, to have 2 different MOH sources for your 800 numbers, you would have to have 2 device pools assigned to 2 sets of voicemail ports and ensure that the numbers get translated to a hunt pilot that uses the proper ports.

  • Call Manager 10 License Standard License

Customer has Call Manager 10 and wants to add 220 Phones with Standard License including voicemail capability. What is the TOP level PN please?

    Hi Anas,
    thanks for sharing more info[+5]
I was referring the messaging ordering  guide which says
With version 10.x, there are now two types of users - Basic and Enhanced.

Basic (formerly referred to as "Standard" a-la-carte) user functionality is unchanged from 9.0. It includes all user-based features such as voicemail, integrated, and unified messaging capabilities, as well as automated speech recognition and more.

Enhanced users are new for 9.1 and the same with 10.x. Enhanced includes all Basic user functionality plus the ability to configure the user for SRSV.

You may mix Basic and Enhanced users on the same Cisco Unity Connection server. Only Enhanced users may be configured for a branch SRSV system.
    Part Code is UNITYCN10-STD-USR
    UNITYCN10-ENH-USR
