Paging in JMS deactivated servers...help

I am working on WLS 8.1. I have 2 servers with 4 JMS servers ( 2 JMS servers targeted on each). Everything was working fine but after I configured Paging and distributed destinations on 2 of the JMS servers , i am not able see them active on the instances they are targeted on. I wrote a script to get statistics for all the servers which was working fine until this time.I am not able to see these JMS servers targeted on any server.Can anybody explain me the reason?

Paging in JMS servers

          I am working on WLS 8.1. I developed a script using weblogic.admin to get the information about all the JMS servers in a cluster. It was working fine. But now as I configured paging and distributed queues to my JMS servers, that script is only getting the information of the JMS servers which dont have these added features with the same. I appreciate if somebody can tell me the reason those servers are not active.

          It sounds like you may have a generic mbean problem and not something unique to JMS. The "management" newsgroup may be able to help if you post more info there.
          Meanwhile, in case you're unaware, there's a simple JMS stat dump sample program for 8.1 called "JMSStats.java" available on dev2dev. Search code-share for jmstats, or one of these links might work:

JMS: foreign servers vs. bridge

hello,
any suggestions when to use wls jms bridge e.g. for talking to Sonic or MQ or when to use a foreign jms server definitions? all informations that clarify the conceptual differences between the two solutions are appreciated.
since what version a foreign jms server is available?

For help choosing among the various JMS integration options, I recommend starting with the "Integrating Remote JMS Providers FAQ" at [http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs103/jms/interop.html].
In addition, specifically for MQ integration, you might want to check out this blog post "Integrating WebSphere MQ 6 with BEA Weblogic Server 10 using Weblogic Server's Foreign (JMS) Server feature:" at [http://ibswings.blogspot.com/2008/02/integrating-mq-broker-6-with-bea.html].
As for Sonic integration, I recall that their docs used to provide step-by-step directions for integrating with WebLogic -- I don't know if they still do that with the latest versions.
MDBs and bridges have been around since 6.1, foreign Servers since 8.1, and SAF (for WL to WL interop) since 9.0.

Dual-boot deactivation/activation help needed...

Having learned that with ADOBE there is always some nightmare scenario, I am stopping in my tracks until I get more information.
As mentioned in another post, I created a dual-boot - WinXP-64-bit and Win7-64-bit - setup so I can eventually migrate over to Win7.
I installed (non-trial) Production Premium CS4 in the Win7 partition without any problems. Opened PrPro and exported media using Encore and my preferred codec. So far, so good.
As expected, I got the "Excuse the interruption" message telling me that there were already two copies with the same serial number running - I have one on my laptop and the other is, of course, in the Win XP partition on the same computer & hard drive as this new install.
I chose the "30 days to fix the issue" option.
This was so I could migrate my preferences, keyboard & other presets to the Win7 install and confirm their proper operation before activation.
PITA #1 - In XP, presets, prefs, etc., are located in "c:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Adobe\Premiere Pro\4.0\."
In Win7, they are located in "c:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro\4.0\. This is a hidden folder, so you must go to Folder Options\View and check "Show Hidden Folders." I think this is now in Control Panel\Settings ( I got there through a Help link so I'm not sure, but it is not in the folder headers "Tools" anymore).
PITA #2 - After copying my PrPro presets, prefs, keyboard settings, etc., to the above location, I tried to open PrPro in Win7 to confirm everything. This was about an hour after my previous session. But now I no longer get the "30-day option!!!" Only "Activate" "Buy a License" or "Quit!"
PITA #3 - Since I don't know how Deactivation and Activation work, I am not about to go any further. Since both copies are on the same physical computer and hard drive, they obviously cannot both be online at the same time. I am concerned that whatever happens at Adobe's end of this will not see the deactivation or will not properly activate the new install and then I'll be left with nothing operational. If they cannot keep track of the start date of the new install and wiped out the 30-day test period in an hour, I do not have much confidence that the activation process will go so well. I think there are a limited number of activations as well, and I don't know what that applies to or how that works. I can see a scenario where I have to re-activate the Win XP partition to try and track down something and then get stuck there because I've used up my activations and can't re-activate the Win7 partition.
Anyone have any insights on any of this...???

Searching - Files, HD, Servers - HELP!

Up until getting this new machine with Leopard on it, whenever I've done a search, on my own system or the 2-3 main Mac Servers we use, I have never had a problem finding all the files I am looking for.
Now with Leopard, I don't have great luck. When I search, I am usually searching our servers for artwork. we list things by numbers so it's easy to find. When I search now, I am lucky if the search gives me consistent results and consistent results from all my servers. Once in a great while I'll get everything, but most times I get parts of this and parts of that...and it's just that, it's a few files from one drive and some from another.
Now the WORSE part. When I click a folder to check what's inside, it flips to that folder, but if I click the back button...IT STARTS SEARCHING ALL OVER AGAIN!!! Then I usually get less results then the first time...and it's much slower. Back in Tiger, it would flip back to what the original search was, not re-search everything.
Back in Tiger, I never had these issues...what's going wrong...WHAT'S HAPPENING!

P.S. Searching for art is an everyday, every hour thing. I lived by Apples great search...what happened! Any suggestions or help would be great. I read EasyFind is a good alternative, but it's very SLOW!

I understand who helps and that's what you are trying to do. Don't take offense to anything I am saying...I am just asking in general for help! :>)
I didn't know spotlight had anything to do with the regular search, I thought it only indexes your HD, not all the servers you had connected too! Interesting. Do I dare index our servers? Wouldn't that take forever and also hold a lot of old info? What if something is updated within the hour? The way the regular search works, I know if something has been updated that minute if I am searching for it.
Hmmm...I am confused now!

Event type linkage automatically deactivated - Urgent help

I activated the Event type linkage for a PR approval Workflow template (a copy of WS00000038) using t-code SWETYPV, however the Event type linkage got automatically deactivated by the system. I have try to activate again for few times, same thing happen got deactivate automatically, any one have encounter this problem before, please help - Urgent.

The mandatory Import parameter might be missing in event container. Event will be deactivated automatically because of these type of errors .
Please check if you are passing all mandatory import parameters.

I'm setting up airport for first time. Getting error no DNS servers. What is DNS server and how do I fix this?

DNS server is that translation from a website address in words meaningful to us.. eg www.google.com to an actual number that computers can use. Without DNS the internet may work but you would have to know the ipv4 address of every site you want to visit.
Whenever you don't know the meaning of a term just type wiki plus the term in google search.

We cannot really help fix the problem without knowing a good deal more info.
So
What modem do you have.. make and model may be a help?
Who is your ISP.. may be helpful??
Is the modem also a router?
How is the TC connected to the modem?
How is the computer connected to the TC?
A primary example of where you get this problem is a pure cable modem.. ie has no router in it.
When you replace an existing computer or router that is plugged into it, with the TC, requires that you power cycle the modem. In some cases the off time is 5min.. for a lot of services, it needs to be off 20min.. and for some even longer.. maybe an hour or overnight.
But it is not worth getting into specifics without knowing the rest of the system.

Probably because there is a problem with your network.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

I don't know how to convert a flat file that contain more than three nested level in a xml file. I tried with the content conversion but it doesn't work.
In my scenario I use a file adapter.

JMS beginner -Environment help

I read the JMS tutorial on the sun's website. Still some of the concepts are not clear to me. I'm trying to understand JMS as analogous to JDBC. Can somebody answer the following questions
1) In JDBC paradigm, You have JDBC API, and a JDBC implementation(The jar file provided by the database vendor) and the database(eg Oracle , sybase). Through out the JMS tutorial, they talk about only JMS API and Messaging provider.
2) My environment is eclipse,tomcat. What do i need to write a j2ee component that puts a message on IBM MQ?

I have done it using J2SE - the approach is similar except I assume you will be using a Message Driven Bean.
1.You need the MQ JMS jar files on your classpath. E.g. (not sure if all of these are required, but I always have them all):

jms.jar
jta.jar
mqcontext.jar2.You need to have a JNDI configuration file on your classpath root: (change the URL to host:port/channel you are using. 1414/SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN are the defaults).

java.naming.provider.url=localhost:1414/SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN
3. Make sure you have MQ 6.0.2.2 (fix packs installed), and set up your 1414 queue manager with a JNDI provider. Set up a queue connection factory "myQCF" and a destination "myQueue" which itself references an actual queue on your queue manager.
4. In J2SE, something along the lines of:

Blackberry Messenger, E-mail not working and I am unable to connect to servers, help please?

I recently got a blackberry curve 8520 contracted with virgin media, with my package I get free BBM/ email services free. However both services haven't worked in 4 weeks. I cannot connect to any servers and error code (65), whatever it means, pops up every time I try to log into Windows Live Messenger. I have re-sent registration messages, as instructed by the troubleshooting manual, which have been successful each time. Does someone, anyone know how to fix this?

I have tried, it is very hard to actually talk to a member of their team. As I said it worked before and I had no issues. The problem occurred over night and my phone says that I am connected to my mobile network but not blackberry internet service. I have successfully registered plenty of times. I have tried updating my phone ect but nothing has worked so far.

Hosted JS and Fonts on Adobe Servers [HELP]

I'm working on a site and our server does not allow for outside connections.
The site is trying to load
Webfonts ( I have self hosted so it shouldn't need to talk to the creative cloud server)
- http://webfonts.creativecloud.com
and
http://musecdn.businesscatalyst.com/scripts/4.0/jquery-1.8.3.min.js
Is there any way to avoid looking for these files? I can manually remove the calls to them .. but it will just come back the next time I export.

In a future version, we plan to add icons in the font list to distinguish web font services.
For now, here's one way to tell the two instances apart:
1. Remove (deselect) Lato from the Edge Web Fonts Tab of the Add/Remove Web Fonts Dialog
2. Close Muse
3. Remove cached copies of Edge Web Fonts by deleting a special folder called tk2. See Re: Fonts not showing correctly in Muse designmode for the location of this folder.
4. Temporarily disable your network connection (to make sure new copies of Edge Web Fonts are not downloaded)
5. Open your Muse file. You'll see some generic font wherever Lato Edge Web Font was previously used.
