Paid $3,500+ In charges..???

Happy Verizon Customer for over 10 years! Upon moving out of Texas...I had to break my contracts because I was moving. Over 3 months paid $3500 in closing accounts, then a year later I recieve a collection notice from afni saying I stil owe Verizon $820!!!
Was told by Verizon customer service since I moved out of state that I had paid all that was due and my balance was $0.00!
Trying to apply for my first time home mortgage... this just really hurt my credit! Thanks Verizon!
Worst over the phone support I have ever experienced. They just kept telling me I had a 0 balance!
If I had owed the $800+ why didnt any of the numerous csr's I talked to let me know???? How about a little customer service/support/awareness...  Not one person could explain to me why or what I owe $820 for!?!
So its either pay this random bill or have my credit scared and not get approved for a mortgage on a house. Would alerting the media scar verizons rep. enough to stop creating b.s. charges to their customers?? What if somone decided to sue!?!
A little appreciative customer service would be nice! Guess companies can be to big for their own good. Why are you in business? Who do you provide service for?
Thanks Again Verizon!!

  • IIB or Paid In Full was Charge Off?

I recently disputed all of my wife's TL as not reporting correctly while we are waiting for or discharge. Everything was deleted with TU except for Credit One. It came back as Paid in Full; was Charge Off for the status.
Should I bother with trying to keep disputing it? Is that better, worse, of same as IIBK? It says it was charged off and sold before I filed.

If it was charged off prior to filing you will have a very hard time getting them to update to IIBK. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

  • Chase - Getting Approved with Old Charge Off

So back about 10 years ago, while in college, I had a credit card and checking account with Chase. I was irresponsible and let the card go unpaid, and it eventually was charged off and sold to a collection agency. Here I am, 10 years later, with a great credit record, Fico in the 750s, and about 10 current credit card accounts with very low utilization. In the past 12 months, I have been denied for two different Chase cards, the CSP and Ritz cards (about 5 months apart). When I was denied for the 2nd, I called and spoke with an agent who explained to me that there was an old charge off shown in their system for $3XX and that was the reason for the denial. I offered to pay the charge off and take care of it, but they said they could no longer accept payment as it was sold to a collection agency. The woman on the phone suggested I go into a branch and see if they could help me. I did, and they could not, all they did was get someone on the phone at Chase and they told me the same thing they did when I was denied. Basically they explained I have no options to make it right with Chase and gave me no options as to a way to rebuild my relationship with the bank.  My question for you guys here at the forum is whether or not there is anything I can do to repaid this relationship so I can get some Chase cards. My first thought was to open a checking account to build some credibility. The other thought I had was to open a secured credit card, although that seems a bit absurd given that i have never been declined for any other card other than these 2 from Chase. I am more than willing to do it, but wasn't sure if that would be necessary. What would you guys recommend? My main goal is to be able to get a Southwest card (or 2) in about 6 months, and I am willing to do whatever it takes. Thanks in advance for your help!

My main goal is to be able to get a Southwest card (or 2) in about 6 months, and I am willing to do whatever it takes. Thanks in advance for your help! I just got off the horn with Chase EO today. Was trying a 2nd recon for a Hyatt card. The guy was really professional. He said I had a $500 slate charge off back in 2003 (which who knows what providian or family member did this to me, its buggin me) anyway, he said, we approved you for a $5k Chase IHG card. We want to see some repayment history with you first for a few months before we consider you for another card. He also said I might want a chase freedom or sapphire card some day (I had applied for the freedom in april and december of 2014). Even though I probably wont ever go for those cards, although they make a great combo. He assured me as long as I havent opened  several new accounts recently I would definitely be approved if my score continues to go up.  He also said that the 5 new accouts in 2 years thing is not always 100% and that he recon's people from time to time and approves them if their scores/history warrant that type of card. I also would like to add that chase is picky from person to person. Their cobranded cards are easier to get than their non's. I never had this CO thing mentioned to me before when I was denied the freedom. They said I had an unclosed checking account, and  owed $75. I promptly paid that, and recon'd twice, still do dice.  Also when I recon'd the IHG card the first time I was told way too many accounts, and not enough experience with a high limit card. Umm ok whatever, why can I go to ANY other bank and get a card then? Then called back the next day, instant approval for 5k IHG world mastercard.  I will say, it probably wouldn't hurt to double app with them when you are ready. Some may disagree with this. But with chase theres always a chance of that 1 inquiry becoming two. And why not go for two different products that could improve your odds of getting one that the rep feels is more appropriate, or maybe even get the 2nd one approved later that same day! As long as your income supports the CSP (40k+/yr) then you should be fine? But others could chime in here regarding the underwriting. Maybe go for a cobranded 1st, then freedom 2nd, then csp 3rd.

  • HT5527 Why is it that when I bought my first generation iPad in October of 2010 the Apple sales rep at the Orange County California store suggested that I pay $99 for Mobile Me "coverage" and told me it was a "one time charge".

Why is it when I bought my first generation iPad in October 2010 the sales rep at the Orange County California South Coast Plaza store suggested that I buy Mobile Me service for $99 which he assured me was a one time charge and now, of course, Mobile Me has been discontinued and I've been "forced" to move to the Cloud and I'm being provided with another year of what Apple calls complimentary service with the clear indication that in a year I'm going to be asked to pay again for something I paid a one time charge for two years ago?

Mobile Me was the successor to .Mac (dot mac) which was "free" to all users but for a limited time. It included a free email address @mac.com and an amount of what we would now call "cloud" storage that went by the name of iDisk. iDisk worked great but with only dialup service for me it was barely useful.
So I didn't think much of dot-mac but lots of people thought it was worth paying for, so they did. Apple wanted to make it even more useful and integrate it with their portable devices which we all know as iPads and iPhones, and assembled a team to make it all work. This was to be called Mobile Me.
They failed miserably. Lots of people including me looked at the final product and said "huh?" Unfortunately for the Mobile Me engineers, one of those people was Steve Jobs. He first humiliated them quite publicly, then disbanded the team, including firing at least one senior manager who shall remain nameless.
This was the rocky beginning of what is now called iCloud, which is the "free" service I should have explained. iCloud includes an email address @me.com, and the 5 GB of "storage" which aggregates things like iWork documents, your email, calendars, Photostream, and iPhone backups.
You can buy more storage if you need more than 5 GB, but if you have more than that it's still free through September 2013.
What happens if you have more than 5 GB stored on iCloud and on September 2013 you don't pay? I'm not sure, but you have a year to think about it.

  • Urgent-Freight charges report

    Hi gurus,
My client have to handle lots of freight charges and they want report for each freight charge paid.
1.Freight charges divided into transporter, loader man and unloader man etc.
2.When material comes to godown transporter, unloading and loading charges to be paid.
3.When these material transfer from godown to other branches also these freight charges are paid.
4.When sales and dispatch done also its paid.
So,How would I get report of these freight charges for 1.Material receipt freight charge,2.Material freight charge for material transfer from branch to branch,3.Also for dispatch freight.
Means, every stock transfer there are freight charges. So how would I track & get report as there are daily lots of stock transfer .
    its urgent
will award points for every appreciable help.....

    Hi,
It is a pure Z- report development.
Usually client looks for how much freight he has paid for particluar activities.
say yoy have freight condition ZFRL- for local freight charges, ZFRI for import freight, ZUNL- for unloading charges.
these conditions will be hitting accounts associated with them.
when ever there will be GR, you can pick the data from material documents.
for giving you an idea, you can have the report like this with information on:
PO, material document, material number, qty, freight.
Your client must have told you that what information he want in reports.
    Regards
    Rajesh

  • I have tried all sugestions for how to charge my ipad 2 that no longer charges, and nothing seems to work, can anyone offer any new advise?

I have tried all sugestions for how to charge my ipad 2 that no longer charges, and nothing seems to work, can anyone offer any new advise?

While both the iPhone and the iPad use an Apple dock cable for charging, the iPad wants a 1100 mA charger, and the iPhone charger's a 500 mA charger. USB ports on newer Apple computers can switch into 1100 mA mode, but your average computer is going to put out no more than 500 mA and, possibly, quite less (for example, an un-powered USB hub will only put out 100 mA or so, and an iPad won't charge off that). The iPad will say "not charging" if it is trickle-charging (receiving less than 1000 mA of power).
If the problem persists when using the 1100 mA iPad charger, you need to take it to an Apple store and have it serviced or replaced. Bring the iPad charger that you received with the iPad as it may be that the charger is defective and not putting out 1100 mA.
If the problem is that it charges slow because it's being connected to iPhone chargers or PCs or older Macs, then it's not a problem with the iPad. It's charging, it just takes a long time because you are using an under-powered charger.

  • How to get denomination of Notes ? for the amount paid

    Dear Freinds
i have requirement where the total amount obtained by a employee through Cash . They wanted to have denomination
for the amount paid ito that employee
ex : An X employee got RS.5550 rupees as cash. They wanted to know how much money has been paid in Denomination
    of  10 Rupee notes,20 Rupee notes,50 Rupee notes,100 Rupee note,500 Rupee note & 1000 Rupee notes.
so the data has to be displayed should be
since the employee is gettign 5550 --> it has to 1000*5 --> Five Thousand rupees notes --- 5 count should come
    500 will be paid as ---> 500 * 1  -
    Five hudress count is 1
    50 is the balance -
it will be paid as fivty note -- Count is 1.
so i have to get  5000------ count 5 , 500 count 1,50 count 1. Can any one go this type of denomination doing code please
let me know how to proceed.
    Regards

    Actually
the scenario is that in some employees ( if you go employee subgroup) like daily labour and casual labours will be paid
on daily bais for them they will not be paid to bank . I n that case  those type of employees will be paid by CASH. So in teh month end the company wanted to knwo what type and how much money paid .

  • Will leaving the charger in hurt the battery on the New MBP 17"

I rarely need to unplug my new MBP 17", but with all the talk about battery problems, I wonder if I should unplug it from time to time and not just leave it plugged in.
Right now its been plugged in for a 1.5 weeks... While I don't think this could hurt the battery, I thought I would ask...

    http://www.apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html
"For proper maintenance of a lithium-based battery, it’s important to keep the electrons in it moving occasionally. *Apple does not recommend leaving your portable plugged in all the time.* An ideal use would be a commuter who uses her MacBook Pro on the train, then plugs it in at the office to charge. This keeps the battery juices flowing. If on the other hand, you use a desktop computer at work, and save a notebook for infrequent travel, Apple recommends charging and discharging its battery at least once per month."
    http://batteryuniversity.com/parttwo-34.htm
" A lithium-ion battery provides 300-500 discharge/charge cycles. The battery prefers a partial rather than a full discharge. Frequent full discharges should be avoided when possible. Instead, charge the battery more often or use a larger battery. There is no concern of memory when applying unscheduled charges."
"Although lithium-ion is memory-free in terms of performance deterioration, batteries with fuel gauges exhibit what engineers refer to as "digital memory". Here is the reason: Short discharges with subsequent recharges do not provide the periodic calibration needed to synchronize the fuel gauge with the battery's state-of-charge. A deliberate full discharge and recharge every 30 charges corrects this problem. Letting the battery run down to the cut-off point in the equipment will do this. If ignored, the fuel gauge will become increasingly less accurate."

This last link is the best summary of good advice on maintaining lithium-bsed batteries that I have ever seen.

  • Battery, charge ipad battery

    Buena tarde.
He notado que últimamente cuando pongo a cargar el Ipad al llegar al 64% de la carga inmediatamente marca 100% y al desconectarla me marca el porcentaje que realmente lleva. Esto es normal o es una falla y como se puede corregir.
    Gracias

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
The iPad comes fully charged out of the box. There have been a number of threads on here about charging, charging cycles, what that all means. You can search for them in the Search Discussions, more options in the upper right corner.
The bottom-line, going through a full charging the Lithium Ion battery monthly, that is run it down until it shuts down (about 1% charge) and fully recharge is more for calibrating the charge indicator. Lithium Ion batteries do not have a "memory" as old rechargables did. So you can feel comfortable in recharging at any time, as Meg does nightly. Lithium Ion batteries have a life that is debatable, some say 300-500 full charge cycles, some say 1,000. That equates to at least two or more years of normal use.
So, use your iPad, charge when you feel like it, occasionally give it a full charge cycle, but DO NOT run it down to shut off and then force it to come back up and continue. That will damage the battery's internal circuitry.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can I get a refund for unused minutes purchased on a pre-paid plan?

I have a Go-phone, pre-paid plan, with a charge of ten cents per minute.  When my minutes expire, I always refill my account by purchasing an additional $100 of air time, so I can transfer my unused balance for another calendar year.  I hardly ever use this phone, which is why I purchased this plan, and I now have a balance of over $400 of unused minutes.  I am a senior citizen on a fixed income, and $400 is a lot of money to me.  I now want to cancel my phone service, due to lack of use, and want to know if I can get a refund for the money I pre-paid.

    Hello Thank you for posting!
GoPhone refills pay for talk minutes, but also for keeping your phone active and ready to be used at any moment for specified periods of time (1 full year for $100). AT&T lets   your balance to rollover for another year as long as the refill was made before the previous one expired, however there are no refunds for GoPhones. I apologize for any inconvenience or confusion.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
    Thank you,

    Charge Cycles
A properly maintained iPhone battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 500 full charge and discharge cycles. You may choose to replace your battery when it no longer holds sufficient charge to meet your needs.
