Paid for download, now it won't play on my iPod

I downloaded Anthology by Frankie Valli and 4 Seasons, cost $15.99. I have to manually transfer as I have changed computers and cannot sync automatically to my iPod or will lose over 1500 tracks already recorded. I have been doing this successfully for a long time. Today when I thought I had transferred I got the message that this albumn could not play on my iPod. Don't know if this is the only one because it was recorded a long time ago or since I just downloaded the iTunes 7 update, all future downloads will only play on my computer.
Help someone. Also I am out the $15.99 as I don't listen to music on my computer!!! I donwload specifically to play on my iPod

Chris:
thank you so much. You were right. Now the album is playing on my iPod. I owe you a great big thank you.
Thanks again. I am a grandmother and not totally up to date with all this technology and so as I take one step forward, I take 3 steps back. Thanks to people like you, I am muddling along

  • Downloaded some TV shows, but now iTunes won't play any of them

Okay, I downloaded a couple of episodes from Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. They downloaded completely, I watched them do so, but they won't play, and whenever I try to play them, iTunes says that it has encountered a problem and needs to close. I tryed checking a few of my other TV shows, which all worked perfectly fine before, but now they won't play, and have the same response. Whenever I pull up the episodes in Quicktime, the screen either remains green and soundless, or it encounters the same problem, and shuts itself down. All my songs still play though. How do I fix this? Do I have to download the new version of iTunes before I can watch them?

i downloaded a the movie bride wars from the itunes store but when i went to watch it, it wouldn't play. now my itunes won't connect to the itunes store. what can i do. i really want to see the movie and i already paid to rent it.

[Music files are still there, and I can play them on my computer directly from the iPod [just one track at a time] but not in the usual way, through headphones.]
On the Summary page of iTunes for the iPod, it shows 50-plus gigabytes of "Other" content and no music, which was not previously the case.  I assume this is related to the problem.
I can bring up individual tracks on the iPod and see cover art, but cannot play the music.

iCloud is free, iTunes match is $25 a year.
I had the same problem and when I went to Settings I had 0 songs, even though they were obviously still there since I only had 15GB free on my 64GB device.
I decided to do a complete reset/restore of my 4th gen iPod Touch, Bad move! I've been messing with it for hours, and it simply won't restore--it keeps hanging on a black screen with an Apple logo and a progress bar at about 10%, sometimes it goes completely blank and tries again, with the same result. (I've posted my question/plea for help here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19735862 )
I'm ready to bang my head against the wall! I can put the device in recovery mode, connect to iTunes on my computer, and get it back to the setup screen, but when I go through the process again and try to do an iCloud backup I get the same reset/restore loop.
I could start from scratch, but I really, really, really don't want to go through all of my hundreds of apps, reinstall them one by one, etc. etc. etc.
I thought that once I started using iCloud, I didn't need to sync with iTunes anymore--guess I was wrong.

Hi and welcome to the WD community.
Try to see if perhaps you are connecting the drive to a surge protector and it might not be getting enough power, try to connect the adapter directly to a power outlet on the wall to see if you get a different result.

  • I upgraded to the latest iTunes 10.2.2.12 and now it won't play any music. I can do everything else, except play music. I'm on Windows 7. Any ideas?

i had this problem and finally figured it out. all that you need to do is go to your start menu and click on computer. select your main drive, (local drive) c usually. Next open the users file follow by your user name file, which is just like it sound it is a file labled as whatever your name is as you have it on your computer. Then you open up the AppData file. Next open the Roaming file. After that open the Apple Computer file followed by the iTunes file. Now you should see the folder labled iTunes Plug-ins folder. Now just Delete that folder. After that go to your iTunes and play your music.
If for some reason you don't see the AppData file you need to go to the upper left of your screen on select organize. a drop down menu will appear and you need to select folder and searc options. a small folder options window will appear. in this window you need to select the view tab. you need to select the show hidden files, folders, and drives bubble. now hit apply and then ok. that will allow the AppData folder to be seen.

  • Updated itunes and now it won't play any of my music, updated itunes and now it won't play any of my music

i updated my itunes, and now it won't play any of my music. i tried deleting it and reinstalling itunes, but it still is doing the same thing: whenever i click on a song, it looks like it's going to play (and my last.fm thing starts scrobbling it) but it just doesn't play the song, ever. it sits there, with the play button played. i am so frustrated with itunes, and i have no idea how to resolve this.

  • Downloaded Itunes8 and now it won't even acknowledge my ipod

    Hi,
I downloaded Itunes8 and now it won't even acknowledge my ipod. The computer just makes a bum bum noise (kinda like Law and Order) and my ipod shows up nowhere. How do I handle this?

Try Resetting your iPod while it's connected to the computer. Hold down the MENU and SELECT (centre) buttons for five or ten seconds until you see the Apple logo appear: How to reset an iPod

  • Upgraded to the latest Keynote (5.3 1170) and now videos won't play in presentation mode, only audio

Upgraded Keynote on my home and work computers to the latest version in the AppStore and now videos won't play in presentation mode.  In edit mode you can double click and it will play in the editor.  This happens on both computers running the latest version of ML (10.8.4).
Any help here?  Alread tried a reinstall of ML on one machine with no luck.
Was previously running Keynote 08 (non AppStore version).  Tried creating brand new presentations in 09, no luck.

I had the same problem today in front of an audience with 300 people (MacbookPro OSX 10.10, Thunderbolt-VGA adapter, PPT 14.4.6).
Here what I figured out so far:
    1. It happens when you have PPT open and connect to beamer afterwards
    2. You can resolve it (in my case) by quitting PPT and launching it WHEN connected to beamer
    3. Yet, make sure Mac does not go into sleep mode or you get a lock-screen in the waiting time. if you do so, you get back to square 1. quit PPT again 2. restart it.
    4. Also.... in one case I had to hit the volume control once to get the sound back even though movie was playing
So in short: Connect to beamer first, then launch PPT
I know it is only a symptom fix but it worked for me
