Paint Tool stops working after first use. CS6

I saved the file and it starting working again. I painted one stroke and it would not paint anymore. Really annoying.

In versions of PSE prior to PSE 11, quit the editor, then restart it while holding down ctrl+alt+shift/command+option+shift. Keep the keys down till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.
For PSE 11, go to the editor preferences>general, click this button and restart the editor:

So everything is fine until I use the select tool, and then free transform a part of the image. Then my brush and eraser stop working until I save and restart the program. Help please?

Font Auto-Activation Not Working After First Use

Anyone else seeing this problem, or have a fix? Font auto-activation stops working after the first use. Here's what happens: Open a file that contains a font that is installed, but is disabled in Font Book. The dialog box "Application wants to use the font XXX". Click on Allow. The font will be available, as you expect. Now quit the application. Open the file again - you won't get the dialog box asking permission to use the font, and the font is not available. This happens in Pages 3.0.1 and TextEdit 1.5. It happens for each individual font - in other words, continuing my description, if you now open a second file that has another font that is disabled in Font Book, you'll be asked permission to use it. But once you've allowed a particular font to be used, you won't be asked permission again.

Make a backup. Restore the device as new. Test the issue again. If it persists, your device needs service. If the issue disappears, restore your backup. If it then reappears, then there is some form of corrupt data on the device from the backup. You'll have to restore that data one portion at a time to determine what is causing it, or set up the device as new.

Snipping Tool stopping working after installing Office 2013 Pro (32 bit) on Win 7 Pro 64bit - help?

Have been looking at many forums to fix this:
ran SFC - no errors
rebooted multiple times
all Windows Updates are current
don't want to disable antivirus, as some have suggested
Uploaded a registry fix, which several have suggested - no soap
Note:
all other features of this PC work great - zero issues.
the issue starting right after installing Office 2013 Pro - 32bit. It runs fine.
"Paint" runs fine. "Print Screen" works fine - image goes to clipboard, and I can paste anywhere.
get the standard message everyone posts in forums:
"The Snipping Tool is not working on your computer right now. Restart your computer, and then try again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator."
Have tried other free third-party tools, and they are cumbersome, and I love the MS Snipping Tool.
Advice? Tips?

Some functionality of the move tool stopped working after Photoshop Elements 12.1 update

After updating to Photoshop Elements 12.1, the move tool can not be used to drag and drop one photo onto another (when more than one photo file is opened). Please advise.

This is a new bug with the 12.1 update. If you are in 'Tabs' view then dragging from one tab to another does not shift the image focus so you can never drop. A bug report for it has been created at http://feedback.photoshop.com.
Workaround is to switch to tiled view (Window> Images> Tile in Expert view) and tile your images side-by-side then you can drag and drop.

4s camera has stopped working after just using it

I was using my camera for the 3rd time, recorded 2 videos and taking some pictures and then screen went completely black. Ive shut the phone off and turned it back on, and reset it a few times... and still no camera.. The camera to see myself is still working, but the camera to take a photo of something else is not working at all. After I reset it and then went back into the camera, this screen turned pink/purple for a brief moment and then went completely black, the square to focus on things just flashes.. I can take the picture but its all black.. The lens is clean, and I have not dropped it or anything like that. Any suggestions please?

IPod stopped working after I used the PowerPod

I bought the PowerPod yesterday which is an auto charger manufactured by Griffin and it is sold at the apple stores and at the online apple store. I connected my iPod to the charger and I left it charging for 20 minutes. When I tried to use my iPod again it wouldn't turn on and the metal plate felt very hot. Now my iPod will not turn on at all. Please help.

I am having the same problem. I got an ipod for my birthday 3 days ago and bought a griffin road trip (car charger & FM transmitter) the day after. Today I had it my car & it worked fine, but afterward it got really hot and would turn on. It won't turn on or connect/charge to my usb/charger, the only way it works is connected to my road trip in my car. It's very frustrating because it's a brand new iPod, So if anyone has some info please help!

OK, manually browsing addons.mozilla.org, I found out there's a Firefox Sync 1.6.2 update that won't automatically install with F4B10, but that seems to resolve this issue.

My matshita dvd-r uj-898 stopped working after i used an external burner...how can I fix this?

I have a Matshita DVD-R UJ-898 which worked fine (from the Finder and from Toast 8) until I used an external Matshita drive (can't remember the model).
Now the finder gives this error:
“Untitled DVD” can’t be burned because the disc is read-only and can’t be modified (error code 0x80020042).
and Toast gives this one:
The drive reported an error:
Sense Key = ABORTED COMMAND
Sense Code = 0x4E
OVERLAPPED COMMANDS ATTEMPTED

Have you tried using a different brand of optical disk? (You don't say whether you are doing CDs or DVDs.) Some are better than others.

Dragging Icons stops working after organizing using drag and drop. Why?

On the newest MBA (2013)
While organizing my music I was creating new folders within the artists' folder in order to seperate things into albums. sometimes when im dragging the songs into this newly created folder ( I drag them in like groups of 10 , really depends on the length of the album) the ability to drag any icon is completely gone. I can still highlight folders and icons but I can no longer move them at all ( using the three finger move on the mouse pad or by holding the click and dragging )
It only happens when I select and drag a few songs over to the folder and drop them in without waiting for that folder to open up.
This forces me to restart in order to be able to use OSX normally again.
Does anyone have any insight? Do I need to just wait for a new update ?

Open a Terminal and type the following commands:
cd /
sudo rmdir tmp
sudo ln -s tmp /private/tmp
If your tmp directory is not already there then the second command will give an error - just proceed to the third command in this case.
Once you have done this sequence, reboot the machine and see if your drag and drop is restored."
Not sure if this fixed the problem or if rebooting temerally fixed it again.

Spot Healing Brush Tool stops working in CS6 on Mac

Hello:
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. While working in the Spot Healing Brush Tool in CS6 on my iMac (Mountain Lion) , the tool stops working. I use it a few times on a busy BG, and then it goes away. The brush turns to a cross, and the tool no longer works. Reseting the tool, or All Tools, does not fix the problem.
Please let me know if there is a fix for this problem.

This is also hapenning when I use the Patch tool. It "Eventually" comes back, but I loose it again after a fix or two. Can't figure this one out. Need help.

Hand tool stops working in Flash CS5

Does anyone know why my hand tool stops working after some time? Whenever I restart Flash, it works, but after like 30 minutes working, it just won't work. The hand tool symbol appears, with the shortcut key, the space bar, and the button on my pen as well, but it won't drag it at all.
I have to restart it every time, and its getting annoying.
I have a
Intel Core i7-2600k @3.40GHz
Windows 7 64-bit
8 GB Ram
1TB Space
Everything works fine, is just that hand tool issue.

CS4 OpenGL stops working after a few minutes of painting

Hi,
CS4 OpenGL stops working after a few minutes of painting. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the amount I paint. If I save the file, then reopen I can paint for another few minutes before the opengl stops working. Is this a standard problem with CS4? Is there a solution? Thanks! PJ

I am having the EXACT same issue, PLUS my Wacon PTZ-430 only works for a fewminutes then, when the Open GL craps out, so does it... but only certain aspects. The cursor still moves, it just will not paint. Mouse will (direct via USB) but the tablet won't. If I delete CS4 prefs, then the Wacom works fine... for a while. Latest Wacom drivers and bee on the phone w them. All is fine under CS3.

First USB port stops working after random time and won't work until I restart

Hey guys
I have this problem on my late 2011 Macbook Pro 13 inch,
It's been for a year already and it really freaks me out and drive me crazy
My first USB port next to the thunderbolt stops working after like 3 days, and it won't respond until I restart my computer or log off and log in again.
If I restart my computer, USB stops working after 3 days and won't respond until I restart
If I log off it works for like a couple of hours and then stops again
I have tried EVERYTHING, SMC reset - no luck, PRAM reset - same results, Upgraded to lion same results, Upgraded to mountain lion - SAME RESULT
And I can't take it to an apple store because I'm not from the US
I am 100% sure this is a software problem and I've seen here that many people have faced this problem
Please help, it really freaks me out

I'm sure this isn't what you want to hear but unless you really are using your laptop 24 hours a day, is there any reason why you don't just shut it down and reboot when you're ready to use it again? I have to wonder how many other MacBook Pro owners potentially have the same problem but when they quit computing for the day, their computers quit too.
