Paint with Symbols? You can do it!

Someone help us! I know someone here has a trick for doing this. I love to make my own brushes, but it would be so cool to make one from a symbol, do some painting and change the brush tip art after the strokes have been laid down.
Anyone have any tricks they're hiding for this one?

Not sure what you really want, but my first thought was that you just can replace your brush elements.
If that is not what you want, please clarify.

This sound like a firewall issue. I would start by disabling the firewall and seeing if you can connect. If this works then you know where the problem is,

Why wouldn't my iPod Have a reset option to reset to factory settings I believe I received a display iPod it came with games you can't play if you click on them it says for demonstration only and I can not download any apps or games wth do I do

You should be able to force it into recovery mode and restore it. Provided, that is, that it's not also activation locked. If there's an iCloud account set up on it with Find my iPod enabled, you're pretty much hosed.
You may want to try contacting Amazon to see if you can return it. Was it actually sold by Amazon, or by a 3rd party? Amazon is getting to be as bad as eBay any more with all the 3rd party sellers.
Amazon is NOT an authorized source for any Apple products. What you got was, as you have already figured out, a demo model. It was probably either liquidated along with the rest of the inventory from a brick and mortar retailer that went bust or possibly even stolen.

You can use multiple AppleIDs to purchase new music but you are limited as to how frequently you can change authorizations for re-downloading past purchases. It may well be a measure to deter piracy by stopping a group of people from going around to a friend's computer and downloading purchases on the other person's computer. It is easy to avoid by making sure you have backup copies on drives at home so you never need to redownload anything.

How do I print just 1 web page in FF 29 ? With 29 you can only change the first field ( 1 of 5, 2 of 5, 3 of 5, etc. ) That means I can only print all 5 pages,

So I cant seem to print just the 1st of 5 pages. The default setting , 1 of 5, will print all 5 pages. The 2nd field can not be altered, as it could in previous FF versions, to 1 of 1. Therefore, I can only print all 5 pages, 2 through 5, 3 through 5, etc. WTF - I keep wasting print paper. I got the print edit add-on but that doesn't seem to help. I have been through several FF versions and do not like the format of 29.

JList of components you can interact with

Does anyone know how to populate a JList component with components you can interact with? The renderer you create to render the elements just uses the component paint method to paint the component but you can't click on it etc. e.g. if you have a JList of buttons when you click on the buttons they do not get pressed. Does anyone know how to get a JList of components that respond as if they were on say a JPanel?

Is there a function on LabView so when you are done with a sub vi you can return back to the main vi while i tis running?

I went to VI properties and selecting for the front panel to open when called and close when finished, but it still doesn't close when I'm running the program. What else can I do?

These options do exactly what they say - they cause the subVI's front panel to open when the subVI starts running and they close the front panel when the subVI stops. This can be used, for example, for pop-up dialogs.
My guess would be that you are using the abort button to stop the VI. This is a big no-no and causes all the running VIs to stop. What you should do is use the code to end the VI's run. If this doesn't help you, I suggest you post your code (File>>Save with Options>>Development Distribution) and explain what you're trying to do.
To learn more, I suggest you read the LabVIEW user manual. Also, try searching this site and google for LabVIEW tutorials. Here and here are a couple you can start with. You can also contact your local NI office and join one of their courses.
In addition, I suggest you read the LabVIEW style guide.

Oh, have you brought up so many good points. Not to take us off-topic, but I could rant all day about Eloqua consulting firms who let low-level employees (Eloqua skill-wise) loose on clients projects. Just not fair for either the employee or client. There was one company that did this to me a few years ago, and since then dozens of people have asked me about them for a reference. Needless to say, they never get a good one from me, and have likely lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in projects because of this. Not worth it in the long-run to cut corners.
Back to the topic at hand....
You really hit the nail on the head in so many ways. It really all does come down to one thing: hard work. There are no shortcuts. Always keep learning. Embrace every Eloqua challenge you can, and never say never. Never be fearful of being wrong by asking something 'silly', or 'looking stupid'. I remember several times that I've submitted Eloqua support tickets, or tickets to other related vendors about things that I was convinced were bugs/major issues. Turned out to be my mistake. But that's ok. You brush off, stand back up, and learn from them.
And finally, be modest. You will never know everything about Eloqua. Be willing to learn from others, and know that there actually may be a better way to do something than you may have spent days or weeks working on.

Can I transfer recording from a DVR onto a hard drive like Apple TV?

Well I know Tivo offers software you can run on your computer that will let you take off shows from the Tivo and convert to be playable in iTunes/iPod/etc so with them you can. Check with your DVR vendor to see if they have anything similar.

the worse one alive. We are designers and producers in the middle
of life, not small-minded bookkeepers talking about daily market
share. We always just wanted to work with the very best vector
drawing program available. It was, and it is called "Freehand". The
web is stuffed with corresponding posts by countless, disappointed
Freehand enthusiasts.
Just let me focus on that tiny, little Bezigon tool Freehand
comes with. For 20 years digitizing logos and letterings was quick
and easy, just setting a few anchor points at typical positions,
letting the Bezier routines draw the rest. Illustrator simply
doesn’t have such a tool. It takes double and triple time to
draw clean shapes with its cheesy, manual drawing tools. Does ADOBE
want to sell amateur toys?
Now they own the source code of Freehand. Everything’s
finally ready to be dumped. In the case of PageMaker, ADOBE at
least offered an InDesign version which had a built-in palette of
PageMaker functions. So one could forget the old software step by
step. Nothing like that with Illustrator. Eat it or die! I
won’t eat it that way.
Maybe the programmers at ADOBE are too stuck-up to admit that
Freehand as a whole is the superior vector software. Here’s
some advice to get round with that obstacle, using the Bezigon tool
as an example: Yes, that tool could be implemented in Illustrator
and RENAMED! Yes, it could also come as an optional plugin! Yes, of
course, you could also let a third party developer do that job!
Yes, of course, ... or PLEASE, sell Freehand to another
company and let’em work on it and compete with Illustrator,
like it was in the past. This would be sooo courageous, and we
could love ADOBE again for giving us PhotoShop. Isn’t it love
(and Freehand) we all need so much? ...

Gotta add a very interesting note to the "Bezigon tool"
matter I discussed above. Read this statement entitled "What's the
Difference Between the Bezigon Tool and the Pen Tool? ... These Pen
tool features make FreeHand's Pen tool the most elegant and refined

Can you use iCloud if you can't upgrade to Mountain Lion? I have a MacBook running Snow Leopard but is not compatible with Mountain Lion.

Post relates to: HP TouchPad (WiFi)

I was wondering whether it had anything to do with the network I was using. The router I am using can't access the internet and I am using the basic 192.168.1.X setup with 255.255.255.0 as the mask.
My computer has an ip of 192.168.1.2 and the xbox has an ip of 192.168.1.3. However, I am still unable to ping the xbox or even see it show up in the network. I did notice that whenever I am using another router that is connected to the internet, I can see other windows based computers in the network tab in thunar under "windows network"
Also, I do have a username and password associated with the samba setup.. so I assume maybe that has something do with it. I checked the permissions of the share folder and it was root:root with read and write permissions. I know samba is working fairly well.. but for whatever reason I can't get the xbox to connect even while it is on the same local network.
