Painting in THREE dimensions or two?

Motion 3 is supposed to boast 3D paint features.
I can edit the points of my paint / bezier strokes in the x and y dimensions, but I would love to be able to move any given point in the X, Y, AND Z axes. Is there ANY way at all to do this?
Is there a specific TYPE of stroke I need to use?

You might want to visit videocopilit.com and look around for some of the free Motion tutorials. There are other free sites, too, like creativecow.net.
The "3dPaint" feature allows the dabs of paint to have depth and, if you open the advanced tab, you can introduce 3D particles from your paint dabs.
I have not been able to figure out how to create a motion path in x-y-z space and have the paint follow the path. This is easy in After Effects.
I hope you find something helpful and maybe you can give me some pointers on 3D paint. Please let us know.

My cell phone will not back up properly to my laptop. I have tried three times in two days as I knew I was getting my new phone today and wanted to save all my information. First, make sure you are using the most current version of iTunes 11.1.3 (8). Second, what version of iOS 7 was your old phone running, i.e. 7.0, 7.0.1, 7.0.2? If your back-up was made with a version of iOS that is newer than the version on your new phone, it will not sync. For example, if your back-up was of a phone running iOS 7.0.4, and your new phone was running 7.0.2 out of the box, the back up will not sync to the new phone until it is updated to iOS 7.0.4.

If it was an audiobook then they are one-time only downloads, to get it on your other devices you need to sync it to them and not re-download it oneach. Splitting of dimensions into two applications

Dear all,
I've come across an artical in SDN says" The Application could be split into two applications POC_APP5 and POC_APP6 with less number of dimensions to expand. In turn would improve the performance of Input schedule and Reports."
Could you kindly tell me how to split dimensions into two sepatare application?

As said by Anurodh, the application split is basically when the application has huge data across all dimension members of the application having many dimensions.

Consider you have a application with Dimensions,
Account, Time, Entity, Category, JobBand, Product
The above have data of Employees Jobband irrespective of Product
and details of product irrespective of JobBand.
This application can be splitted to two aplications having dimensions as below,
Account, Time, Entity, Category, Product
Account, Time, Entity, Category, JobBand

I reorded the tables in the BMM layer and it continues to use the same table, regardless this table is in last.
After, I droped that table in the BMM layer and it continued to use the same.

Is it just letting you know how to reset you password or saying it's trying to be reset?
If it's just letting you know how to I wouldn't worry, but if it says it's trying to then call apple and you'll have to talk to account security.

More than three dimension in a Planning unit...

As per Hyperion and my experience so far, a Planning unit consists of three dimensions: Scenario, Version and Entity.
Can we have one more dimension to be included in this Planning Unit?

I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.

What are impact of Braking one dimension into two

I have one Dimension say Product that has two child AC and AP. and these two children has two childs each.
and further these devided into many levels.
this is like
Product
-AC
-CC_A
-CC_B
-AP
-CP_A
-CP_B
A,B are showing some member, but both are repeting AC and AP.
Now I need to create a seperate dimension for A and B and remove from Product.
How this will be done and on what objects of Essbase will be affected. How to do.

Breaking a dimension into multiple dimensions has a number of implications. You have to modify dimension build and load rules, caclulation scripts, report scripts and front end tools/templates and source files to use the new structure. IT can be a lot of work.
I could not tell by your example, when you split the dimension in two, will you be able to get the data as an intersection of the two dimensions? If not, it would be hard to split. Can you explain further why the dimension needs to be split into to and perhaps I can make a more informed recomendation.
The paractical answer of exporting the data from Will is correct. You will need to export the existing data (or get it from source again) in a column format and create load rules to be able to reload it. Depending on how the intersections work, it might be an easy or extremely hard task

Dispaly one dimension on chart out of three dimensions

Do you also have totals in your datasource for the dimensions that you don't want to see in your Chart?
E.g with my example:
DataSource should be defined as following:
- all dimensions should be defined in the rows
- Show "totals" for each dimensions
With the following script you can select the dicmension "Country" to be displayed in Chart:
In fact you select the "result_member" for the dimensions that you don't want to see in the Chart:
Here is the result:
As you can see only dimension "Country" are displayed in the Chart.

You can check for issues caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

EvDRE refresh shows no dimensions in two of five applications in an appset

Microsoft BPC 7.0 sp6 patch 1
Excel client in office 2007.
Going to cell A1
Type =evDRE()
Get the 'click to refresh'
I click the icon to refresh and am presented with the evDRE wizard.
Three applications return all the dimensions as options and time and acount preselected.
Two applications return the wizard with no dimensions to select and nothing prepopulated (not time nor account).
Existing reports in the two applications work fine.
evNXP works fine.
Why are no dimensions found?

I think those two application dim cache file is corrupted.
Please modify those two applications at admin consile and clear client cache file from Etools and login again.

One dimension and two fact report in OBIEE

I have one dimension "region" and two facts (Sales value & Gross margin%). Gross margin% is logical column which has been derived from two other facts column and it's value is in range from Zero to 100.
Now, I want to generate below report. For each gross margin% range of 5%, I want to sum the sales value for each region. Please assist (Just a small snapshot of report)

Create Bins for Gross% fact column and go to pivot view place Gross% fact column into rows area,region column into columns section and sales value into measures section

Three Monitor Save, Two Monitor Hang- CS6

I have three monitors running from my Dell M6600 at work. I save a Premiere Project with any panel open on the third monitor. Then take my computer home where I only have two monitors and open the project file, Premiere hangs. It will never launch the application fully. It opens to the point where it would normally load project data, and then hangs.
As a workarround I have begun making sure I save the project with all panels on two screens. However, if I forget then the only solution I have is to go to work to open the project. (Or get a third monitor at home...)
I would love to be able to edit the project XML and remove or reset the panel layout. Anyone else experiencing this issue? or know how to "hack/workaround" the project file?

G5 - Running three displays with two DVI video cards?

I'm currently running two 23" apple displays on my Dual G5 2.7 through the ATI apple stock card. I want to add another card so that I can run a total of three or four displays...is this possible? Yeah it may sound crazy, but the space is much needed for the work I do...thanks for any help!
