Pairing and syncing with the nokia 7280
i have a nokia 7280 that i'd like to sync with my computer. i'm using a 17" g4 1ghz . 10.4.3 is my ox. when i do a search for devices, it won't find it. i used to use the nokia 6600 and it paired effortlessly. does anyone know the solution to my problem? any assistance will be appreciated. thanks.

Apple iSync 1.5 and 2.1.1 supports Symbian OS based mobile phones but no Nokia Series 40 phones. Search the iSync section for the various topics about the Nokia 6230 and have a look at MacMedia's PhoneDirector.

My iTunes gave me the option to erase and sync with the library or just sync with Itunes purchases. Since I have songs from more than one source and all my music was in the library, I chose the erase and sync option. All my music was wiped off my iPod and a few recent iTunes purchases were synced onto the iPod. All my music is still in the library, but it won't sync to my iPod. Making me crazy.

My IPhone 4S with version 6.1.1 will not stay connected to the bluetooth in my 2012 Subaru Outback. The phone is paired and registered with the bluetooth in the car, but each time the ignition is turned off the phone loses connection with the bluetooth and I have to select the device again.

ISync 2.2 Finally Syncs With The Nokia 8800!!!
Now whaddya know!!! I just bought this damned phone a month ago and the update came just in time!
To **** with PhoneDirector!Well, Phone Director is a good application. I bought my Nokia 6230 a little over a year ago and at that time OS X couldn't sync with the phone so I had to use PhoneDirector. The OS X integration with Nokia 6230 now works much more beautifully than PhoneDirector but the US$30 I spent on PhoneDirector was worth it.

What's going on with that, and why does isync doesnt sync with Nokia's new handsets? isync doesnt support it at all, and I doubt I can mount the phone in my desktop. Any workaround for this?

I-pod classic 8Gb and synced with the new notebook. no artwork was transferred? Help please.

I have an i-pod classic 8GB. My original laptop crashed but I have managed to copy/ sync with my new notebook. Unfortunately none of the artwork was copied and I can't seem to sort it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maps and navigation with the Nokia E75

I am thinking of buying the Nokia E75. Can you now download maps from the noikia store for free
or is there a one of price or perhaps a subscription And would then also cost to use GPS for turn by turn navigation?As E75 is an S60 3rd Ed. FP2 device there are a couple of things to point out. Firstly whilst you can download regional mapping for offline use using Nokia Suite you would need to purchase a navigation license for voice navigation and secondly as device uses map data series 00.01.29.100 it is getting further out of date as time goes by.
There can be an issue with license manager to allow you to purchase navigation license from shop and may need to backup essential data and restore device to "Out of box" state by keying in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by user) and re-install nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.1_lm_rom.sis 5410 KB

Can I synchronise with the Nokia N80 Internet Edition?
Is it possible to synchronise Address Book (including photos) and iCal with the Nokia N80 Internet Edition?
I getting one so I can use it with Truphone for VoIP (which I wouldn't be doing if Apple's iPhone did VoIP!!).I got it to sync once but now I get a system error on the N80ie with no further clues. I have tried every combination on two different systems with the same result.

my old pc was running low in memory and i don't have enough space to back up in order to instal iOS5. so i got a new pc, installed itunes on it but when i tried to sync my iphone on the new pc, it said it'll erase all contents on my iphone and sync with the new pc which has no contents. it says iphone can only sync with one machine.
can you pls helpSyncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your phone. Only if you back up your phone manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your device without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPhone for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in iTunes and transferred your purchases.

You can also back up iTunes and restore it on your new computer How to back up your media in iTunes , but the iPhone will be erased anyway during the first sync. -

Well...the answer is no. You can't downgrade the iOS, but it will update. I just kept the backup from the older version and did a restore with the Iphone 4S and it worked fine.

My ipods Library won't sync with the new Library
Hi, I had do erase everything off my hard drive to fix a problem with my iphone today and when I went to restore itunes, my ipod won't sync with the library. I get the message that I would need to erase everything on my ipod because its sync with another library and sync with the new library which just has the things I brought in the itunes store. I have a lot more music that the music I got in itunes. So my question is how can I copy the flies (music/videos/movies) from my ipod to the new library? Please help me. Thank You.
You erased your hard drive without making sure you had a current backup copy of your music?
You can try a 3rd party program to get the music off ( this is not supported by Apple).
You can also try a forum search ( right side of this page), as this is asked and answered very often.
Zevoneer ( a fellow itunes user) does a great job explaining the options. -

My Outlook/iCloud calendar invites to others appear to work on my end and sync with my PC and mobile, but when other people "accept" the invite, it will not populate/add in to their calendar. How can I fix this without turning off iCloud?
I am at a new office that uses Outlook (not Outlook Exchange) which does not sync with my mobile... I just got iCloud set up on my PC to sync my contacts, calendar, reminders, etc... The sync worked (not without flaws, but the other issues seem solvable... I think), so that i can now see all my appointments on both my phone and on my PC. The problem I am having is that iCloud moved all of my calendar items from Outlook into iCloud calendar and now when I send out meeting/calendar invites the recipients may accept them, but the meeting does not get added to their calendar. This is a huge problem and may mean that i need to turn off iCloud.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks!I am replying to my own post here as I seem to have fixed the problem.
I do have some calendars that are shared. Some of those are shared with users who have time zone support turned on. So i activated time zone support on my iphone, then deleted my icloud subscription. I then signed in to icloud again and voila... problem solved.
It is a weird one as the other calendar views were always fine and when you opened an event that appeared in the wrong day (on list view), the correct date of the event was shown in the information...

Plug the USB flash drive (works the same with an SD card) into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)
