Pairing apple blue tooth with 2 phones.

Pairing apple blue tooth with 2 phones? Can it be done? I have an older plantronics that works no prob. but i prefer my new apple one.

No. By Default, the BT will be active on the Pearl instead of the iPhone. you have to deactivate the Pearl in order to use with iPhone. I own the Cingular 8125 and if I activate BT with the 8125, it will deactivate the iPhone. I don't know why, but that's what it does. Best thing is to own two bluetooth earpieces. Like, say, the Jawbone and the Apple BT. Costly, but you'll have the two best earpieces ever made and can use each on all devices.

  • Apple Blue Tooth Mouse wont connect

I have Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit. My Apple Blue Tooth keyboard works fine and connects but when i try the mouse it says Connecting to device.. And it says that forever and it never connects. I have the new Imac that came out this year and all updates are installed. Any ideas

You need to open up the bluetooth setting and check mark the option allow other device to find computer, then pair it once it's paired you can uncheck that option if want to be safe.

  • Apple Blue Tooth Mouse & Keyboard will not Wake Mac Pro while in Vista

I am running Vista Ultimate via Boot Camp OSX Leopard. I have a MAC Pro with apple blue tooth mouse and keyboard.
When the computer sleeps while in Vista, neither the mouse or keyboard will wake the computer. The only way to wake the computer while in Vista is to press the power button the MAC Pro.
After I wake the computer via the power button, the keyboard is unresponsive for about 2 minutes. Turning the power on and off on the keyboard does not speed up the process. The same thing happens intermittently when rebooting into Vista.
AppleCare says it's a Vista problem. Microsoft tech support says it's an Apple driver problem. Nice.
The keyboard and mouse do wake the computer when in Leopard.

Were you ever able to find a resolution to this issue? I am seeing the same perplexing grayed out box in device manager. In my case I'm using a MS Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and my machine is a Mini.
For anyone else who might happen upon this post, the exact click sequence is:
Device Manager -> Bluetooth Radios -> Apple Built-in Bluetooth -> Power Management

  • Use ear buds and blue tooth ear phones at same time

My wife and I want to listen to a walking tour at the same time using my iPhone 5S.  Can I plug in a set of wired ear buds into my iPhone for me, and at the same time have my wife listen to the same recording using a blue tooth head phones?

No. But you  pick up a "Y" splitter for the headphone jack for just a few bucks and use two sets of earbuds.

  • My Apple blue tooth keyboard will not pair with my mac mini

My Apple wireless keyboard was paired with my Mac Mini. It is no longer paired. I have put in new Batteries. I have pressed the button on the top right hand section of the keyboard, the green led lights up briefly. The Blue Tooth set up assistant appears on screen and searches for the keyboard. I has brifly seen it but does not make a connection. The Magic moose is doing the same thing.

    Hi Darrell,
If your Apple Bluetooth and keyboard are not paring to your Mac Mini, then take a look at the article below to walk you through some general troubleshooting to get it to pair and start working again. If you have not done so already, try looking form anything could be causing interference like cordless phones as well and thing metal between the keyboard and the Mac Mini.

  • Bluetooth Connectivity Issue with Apple Blue Tooth Keyboard

I have a blue tooth keyboard paired with my MacBook. I recently installed the latest Apple update and restarted the computer. When it fully rebooted, the keyboard was never picked up. I went into the system preferences to go through the blue tooth settings and tried to repair it or search for wireless devices. When I searched for devices, it picked up the keyboard, but when I tried to pair them, I got an error saying the keyboard was out of range and could not be connected to. I changed the batteries, turned it on and off, but still no results.
    Any ideas?
I also have a bluetooth Apple Mighty Mouse which works fine, it's just the keyboard.

I know you may feel that you've already done this, but just try me.
I'm assuming you have installed 10.4.8, and all applicable security updates for your Mac- if not, please do, before you try the below.
Remove any pairing with your keyboard in your system preferences, and turn off all the bluetooth settings, including bluetooth itself. Make sure your Mighty Mouse is off, and will not be connected during this process.
-Shut down your Mac, and make sure the keyboard is off.
-Turn on your Mac, and when it's booted, open Bluetooth preferences, and turn Discoverable on.
-Go to the devices tab, and click on the 'Set up New Device' button in the lower right corner.
-When prompted, say yes to turn Bluetooth on.
    -The Bluetooth assistant will begin.
-Select Keyboard from the list of devices.
-*Turn on your keyboard now, and then select continue.
Hopefully it will find your keyboard now, and you can continue to pair the keyboard with your Mac. When done, go back into Bluetooth preferences and turn Discoverable off, enable any other setting you would like, and under the device tab, select the keyboard, and click Add To Favourites.
    I hope you're up and working~!
If not, we'll work on a Level 2 solution!

  • HT201205 no sound after using blue tooth with iphone 5

I have just purchased a 2014 Durango and the Blue Tooth works fine with my Iphone 5.  However, after i leave the vehicle, i have no sound on my phone.  Have tried to restart, turned the blue tooth off, tried playing both a song and a movie to no avail.  Any suggestions?

It sounds like it is still connected.
    Try disconnecting it here:
Settings > Bluetooth > Select the Durango and disconnect.
    If that does not work:
Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and don’t let go until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears (no data will be lost)

  • Blue Tooth with Sony Ericcson and iMac

I'm trying to send pictures from my Sony Ericcson to my iMac but my phone keeps saying check the other blue tooth device (iMac).
My phone is showing up on my iMac's list of blue tooth devices found and my iMac is showing up on my phone as being found as well.
However that's as far as it goes. Here is the error message that my phone keeps giving:
CHECK BLUE TOOTH SETTINGS ON OTHER DEVICE: BLUE TOOTH VISIBLE, DEVICE VISIBLE, DEVICE IN RANGE.
I'm thing the answer to each of these questions here is yes, so why won't my phone pair with my iMac?
    Thanks to all,
    Trey Vollmer

    Hey, Elmac.
Thanks again for helping but the instructions from this here web page don't track with my mac osx system.
I wasn't able to follow along because the steps from the web page you suggested did not match my osx.
I don't know if that makes sense to you, but I hope it does.

  • Trouble pairing Apple Wireless Keyboard with N95. Please help.

I bought the new aluminium Apple Wireless Keyboard today and tried pairing it with my N95 (firmware v20.0.015) using the 'Wireless Keyboard" application but it refuses to connect!
Would anyone be kind enough as to shed some light on this issue I'm experiencing?

    The process is quite simple:
    - Turn Bluetooth 'on' in your N95 - Settings\Connection\Bluetooth\On.
    - if your wireless keyboard is on, turn it off then on again. This will make it discoverable for 3 min.
    - go to 'Wlss.keybd' app on your N95....Menu\Office\Wlss.keybd and open it.
    - go to Option menu and select 'Find keyboard'. This will search for available bluetooth devices. Your keyboard name should show up here. When it does, you can press 'stop' so that the phone stops looking for additional devices.
    - select the keyboard from the list of found bluetooth devices. You will then go through a sequence of code inputs on both your phone and keyboard (just follow the prompts on the phone) which will 'pair' your keyboard to your phone.
Hey presto, your phone should now be connected to your keyboard! Hope this works for you.

  • Charging my blue tooth with the car charger?

I have a blue tooth that I keep in the car and I also bought a car charger.
Unfortunately, I can't recharge my bluetooth in the car.
Does anyone know of an attachment that will make it possible for me charge it.
    Thanks
    Maggie

Since the BT headset comes with the dual charge cable, try this:
    http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=4FC F984E&fnode=home/shopiphone/iphoneaccessories&nplm=TN787LL/A
Its a USB cigarette lighter adapter. Just plug your dual cable into it and you're go to go.
BTW, it is compatible with the iPhone so it meets the correct power standards.

  • Help with problems with Blue tooth with ios 8.1

I recently downloaded ios 8.1 because of previous problems involving blue tooth connectivity.  Any solutions?

    Hi 23serenity,
Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
It seems like your iPhone is in recovery mode, but it doesn't appear in iTunes when you connect it to your computer.
Next, give the troubleshooting steps at one of the following links a try:
Learn what to do if you don't see your device in iTunes for OS X, or in iTunes for Windows.

  • Is the Apple blue tooth keyboard compatible with the soft ware called Splash Top remote for iPad 2?, Is the Apple blue tooth keyboard compatible with the soft ware called Splash Top remote for iPad 2?

I have been trying to use my Zagg Folio with my ipad 2 and it works great with all my programs except the Splashtop Remote desk top which allows me to access my mac desktop from anywhere with wireless access. The Zagg Keyboard however will not type on my Desk top even though the ipad key board will. Is there any help out there for this issues?
    Thanks
    ROBOCO

Both should be able to, but you still have to press the button on Splashtop to bring up the iPad keyboard, then hide the touch keyboard, and you can use the Bluetooth Keyboard with your desktop/Splashtop.

  • Unable to pair Apple Remote App with iTunes

I am running a Toshiba Satellite L505D-S5965 with Windows Vista SP 2. My iTunes software is 8.2.1.6, and my iPhone 3GS is running OS 3.0.1 (7A400). Both the Satellite and iPhone are connected to the same WiFi local network, and yet the App "Remote" by Apple Software is unable to communicate with iTunes to allow the entry of the four digit code to establish control of the iTunes library. Shortly after purchasing the iPhone 3GS I purchased the Satellite, but in the couple of weeks between the purchases the Remote App worked fine on my Gateway running Windows XP SP2. I have been through Apple Telephone support twice, and have really run one of the technicians through the mill researching possible solutions. I have visited an Apple Store Genius, who could find no reason for the problem. The iPhone and Remote App worked perfectly well on the store's WiFi and Mac, but his iPhone also wouldn't work with my laptop. I have been through Kaspersky's technical support system to ensure that there isn't a firewall issue. They have assured me, after reviewing logs from my laptop, that this is not the case. I even went so far as to uninstall all my Kaspersky product, but the Apple Remote App still would not function properly. I have updated the router's firmware, and checked that the laptop's wireless card is running the latest driver. At this point I can't think of anything else to try but would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Steve

    Monday 7th Jan.
Just to say that Apple did call me this am to discuss the problem on foot of a call I made last week.
In the meantime the remote worked with both a 2007 IMac and a 2009 laptop but not on the m-mini.
When I tried  pairing this morning during the call by pressing Menu and next together it paired.
The change is very subtle, it just says paired in the advanced section of the security et sl section as referred before, with a fleeting 2 intersecting rings icon.
The big difference is that Front Row is gone....
The remote only works to a limited degree within some apps such as iTunes and iPhotos.
In theory it controls the volume in iTunes but as of now for me  it doesnt....:( need to look more.
As to what the problem was:
It seems there is a set of keyboard combinations that can be used to force a  reset the ID of the remote, the suggestion is  MAYBE that by getting it to work on the iMac and laptop in some way reset the ID.
This stuff  is WAY beyond my skill level:)
I did impress upon Apple the need to look at the issue in threads like this....
