Pairing iPhone to Bluetooth on Nissan Altima Coup
Does anyone know how to pair the iPhone to the Nissan's bluetooth on the Altima coup? i'm sure it would be the same for all Nissan's... but i can't seem to find anything about it on Nissan's site... and i have no clue how to pair the iPhone to bluetooth...
Thank you so very much! You were so incredibly helpful. i have to say that this site has rarely let me down when i need a quick, to the point, answer for something... i really appreciate it, Ausmus-11.
i got the phone up and working with address book and all fairly easy with the link to the instruction guide. i had tried to get to that from the website earlier, but i kept getting a blank page. Having the link there was very beneficial.
Thanks again.

Always Have to Re-pair iPhone w/ Bluetooth Car Receiver
Just got a new head unit (Pioneer DEH 7900 BT) and I'm having some trouble getting the iPhone's Bluetooth pairing to work. I can pair the iPhone and head unit through Settings > General > Bluetooth and everything is OK -- can place and receive calls. When I get out of the car and return, the pairing seems to be lost. The iPhone still says it's paired, but the head unit doesn't recognize anything. If I unpair and re-pair from the iPhone, we're OK again. Is this normal operation? A problem with the iPhone or the head unit? Anyone have a similar experience?
I searched the Pioneer website and found the below, i think it applies to all pioneer head units. Does any one know what profiles the iPhone has?
from http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support/Knowledgebase
Knowledgebase: Car Product - CD/Cassette Receiver
Bluetooth Profile compatibility for the DEH-P9800BT or the DEH-P980BT?
What profiles are compatible with my bluetooth device?
In order to use Bluetooth wireless technology, devices must be able to interpret certain profiles.
This unit is compatible with the following profiles.
1. GAP (Generic Access Profile)
2. SDP (Service Discovery Protocol)
3. OPP (Object Push Profile)
4. HSP (Head Set Profile)
5. HFP (Hands Free Profile)
This unit can control a Bluetooth audio player via A2DP or AVRCP profile. Bluetooth audio players (or Bluetooth adapters) compatible with those profiles can be connected to this unit.
1. A2DP profile (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile): Only playing back songs on your audio player is possible.
2. AVRCP profile (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile): Playing back, pausing, selecting songs, etc., are possible.

Can't pair iPhone via Bluetooth
Hey Guys,
I have a new 11" Air which is incredible but for the life of me I can't get Bluetooth pairing to work with my iPhone 4 so I can tether.
It pairs the device in System Preferences but I try to connect them I get to errors.
If I connect from the MBA I get an out of range error and If I connect it from the iPhone I get a message saying that the device is not supported - and it prompts me to remove the device from the Phone?
Both devices are up-to-date and I have bluetooth working with the iPhone and my MBP.
Tried resetting PRAM but still no luck.
Any ideas?Hello everyone,
same problem: brand new Macbook Air 11" and Iphone 4 with 4.2.1 and can't connect via BT. I had tried before with a simple Nokia that connected seamlessly with my first generation Macbook (2006), so I assume there's an issue with BT on the Air. I have tried deleting the files Scott was indicating, but still no luck.
Tethering is solved via USB, but it would be nice to be able to use BT as well, for the times I don't have my cable with me and also simply because it's there and it doesn't make sense for it not to work. Has Scott's workaround delivered results for others?
I hope someone at Apple reads this and that they'll solve the issue in a future software update.

HT4623 Cannot Pair iPhone 5 bluetooth to 06 BMW iDrive
Hi,
I am having a problem connecting my iPhone 5 to my 06 BMW iDrive. I have successfully connected my friends iPhone 4S to my iDrive, but when i try to connect my iPhone5 it fails after i have entered the passcode into the iDrive. I am using the exact same approach that i used when connecting the 4S so it's not my 'technique' that's the issue and neither the iDrive as it supports the 4S's bluetooth 4.0. Has anyone else had this issue and fixed it? Both devices were running iOS 6.1.
Thanks
DeanI had a similar problem, but with an iPad. Nearly posted a question, but then after I asked Bluetooth to remove the device I was trying to pair it to, I tried again! And it worked. So try the following:
Close, unplug the devices for 10 seconds
In Bluetooth, ask to remove the device you were trying to pair to
Then try to pair again and cross your fingers! -
I cannot pair iPhone 4 bluetooth to Windows 7
I am having windows 7 and i cannot pair the bluetooth. someone help me please....
That's correct. The iPhone does not support the file transfer protocol. The only supported option with a computer is tethering using BlueTooth. The only other supported connections are for hands-free and A2DP devices.

IPhone 3GS intergration into Nissan Bose Stereo
I have a 2010 Nissan Altima Coupe with a Bose sound system and iPod intergration. Until recently everything worked well with my iPhone 3G S, however now on occasion, the iPod function stops dead in the middle of a book or sound. When I turn the power on an off, the car iPod system is still locked. The other functions of the sound system like regular and sattellite radio work fine. When I disconnent the iPhone there is a "Check Device" message on the car system screen. The only way to unfreeze the system is to turn of the ignition and restart the car. It seemed to start doing this after I installed the iPhone iOS4 upgrade last month. Anyone else seeing this?
I have a Kenwood BT945U stereo in my SUV, and since the iOS 4.1 update, I can now skip tracks forward and backward with the buttons on the head unit. This didn't work before the update.
I don't ever recall being able to select what track/album/genre/etc to play when streaming audio via BT. I can't do it in my Ford Fusion, either. I haven't tried to stream audio over BT with any other device, so I couldn't say if it's a limitation of the phone, the stereos, or BT audio streaming. -
Any ideas why iPhone 6 cannot connect to bluetooth in my new 2015 Nissan Altima.
Any ideas why iPhone 6 cannot connect to bluetooth in my new 2015 Nissan Altima.
Thank you.To be honest, if you do a search of the forum, you will find a number of posts with problems with the 2015 Nissan Altima. It appears that it cannot pair. This seems to be a problem with the vehicle itself and users have been contacting the manufacturer for updates to the vehicle's system in hopes of correcting this. I suggest you contact your dealer and ask if he has any info from Nissan. They will probably try to get rid of you by saying it is a phone problem, but as I said earlier, there are multiple posts here about issues with the Altima.

Pairing iPhone5 bluetooth with 2013 Nissan Altima
The answer to pairing the newer version of iPhone is very simply. First, iPhone technology does not like other paired phones on the bluetooth of some car models. In my case it was a 2013 Nissan Altima SL. Well, remove all other instances of paired phones...for me it was a blackberry and I had just purchased an iPhone5. I removed the Blackberry which I wouldn't use anyway and it literally took me 15 seconds to pair the new iPhone. It was that simple. I did read some of the blogs and it didn't look good to finding an answer to my dilemma. Hope it helps.
You can select the Nissan vehicle on the Nissan website, and it will show you a list of compatible devices. go to this link: http://www.nissanusa.com/bluetooth. I wish I would have seen this before I purchased my 2013 Frontier last week. I can connect by Bluetooth to make/receive calls, stream music and stream the Google Points of Interest, but I am unable to send/receive text with my iPhone 5. I've contacted Nissan regarding the issue, and their response basically repeated my complaint... Something to the affect, "Yes, your device miight pai with the vehicle, but you might not have complete functionality". If you use the Nissan webpage to find compatible devices, be sure to click on your device to see the details of it. It will show you which functions are supported. For my Frontier, it showed that evey function was supported, with the exception of texting. Would have been nice to know before I spents and extra $2800 on the luxury package. I do not know if the reason its not compatible is on Apple's end or on Nissan's, but it sure would be nice to use all of the features i purchased.
As I said, I am using an iPhone 5, with the latest updated installed. Maybe a future upate will resolve the issue? -
IOS7 Bluetooth No Longer Works in 2013 Nissan Altima
I am experiencing issues with my 2013 Nissan Altima 3.5SL and the IOS 7upgrade on my iphone5. I am no longer able to properly sync my phone to the bluetooth in the car. The music doesn't always play with bluetooth connection, voice recognition hardly works to make calls and the feature to read incoming new text messages via car bluetooth no longer works AT ALL! All of these features worked fine with the previous IOS6 version.
I have tried several ways to try to fix this, complete reboot of iphone, delete and re connect the iphone from bluetooth (forget this device); also the 'show notifications' tab under the bluetooth options on the phone is turned on. Nothing has helped.
This is extremely disappointing and would like to use these features of my car again. Has anyone else experienced these issues and/or found a fix?
Apple, please FIX and provide us with an update!Problems with Bluetooth connections are generally traced back to the vehicle. If you search here in the forum you will find a number of posts with issues connecting with Honda vehicles. Try removing the phone from the vehicle's list of Bluetooth devices. Then try removing the vehicle from the iPhone's list of Bluetooth devices. Then place both devices back in discovery/pairing mode and try to connect them. You may need to take the device to the dealer to check for software updates.
Next, I understand it used to connect, however software updates for the iPhone will load the latest Bluetooth stack into the phone and vehicles do not always get updated as often. You can also check this support document for frequently asked questions and the other for additional troubleshooting instructions. TS3253 Someone have problems pairing iphone 5 with 2011 altima?
I have a nissan Altima 2011 i had iphone 4 And bluetooth hands free worked perfect, my favorite feauture and now i got iphone 5 cannot pair , car don't recognize the iphone , my bluetooth don't work or what, i am very upset and dissapointed of this iphone now
Here's a fix from another discussion. It worked for me with 'PhotoShare' and when it works you don`t need it more. This fixes keynote remote. Hope apple solves keynote remote/blue tooth issue in future update.
Alex G writes:
1. Launch keynote on one device and the remote on the other as you normall would.
2. Find another app that bluetooth links ipad and iphone (I used 'pictransfer light'). Install on both devices and launch on both devices. Follow the promt to get a bluetooth sync.
3. Double push the home button both devices to pull up the multi-tasking and open keynote and keynote remote on the relevant devices.
4. In keynote, go to settings; advances; remote. You should now be able to get the remote to link (you may, on the device running the remote, need to hit settings and then 'new keynote link'. -
Nissan Altima BlueTooth and USB problems
Just picked up my 2010 Nissan Altima with Premium Sound Package (includes BlueTooth and USB). Palm P100EWW on Sprint.
Problem 1) Bluetooth pairs and connects, allows me to make or receive calls. However, it did not download my phone book, so I am not able to call people by saying their names. If I say List Phonebook, it says that there are no entries to list. Help!?
Problem 2) I want to play music via the USB. When I connect my Pre, the car screen says "Check Device" and will not do anything else. Help!?
Thanks in advance,
JimRClass action lawsuit. I hate saying that as I think lawsuits are frivulous but ...
1) Bought my 2010 Altima in Oct. 2009
2) Non Nav System
3) Phonebook will not download
4) Phonebook works in Nav system
5) Engineer was brought in to research
6) engineer even had problems with other phones in non nav altima
7) i replicated issue and fix for the engineer in under 30 seconds
8) Fix = nav system works 100% no issues
9) Received phone call yesterday from Nissan telling me I'm FU&&ED!!!
10) requested they upgrade to nav system as that works
11) answer = I'm FU&&ED!!! -

Sorry, if I've posted in the incorrect place. First post, please bare with me.
I've been trying to transfer photos from my old Samsung Galaxy Ace & Toshiba laptop via Bluetooth to my iPhone 5.
iPhone but message of "not supported" comes up when pairing. iPhone stays in search mode when trying to discover devices & does nothing.
Thanking you all in advance for your patience, understanding & help. All you can connect via BT are headsets and keyboards. You cannot connect to your Galaxy or laptop. That's why it says "not supported."

Can't pair iPhone 5s with Macbook Pro via Bluetooth
I have an iPhone 5s and Macbook Pro with retina display (running on iOS 8.0.2 and Yosemite respectively). For some reason, my iPhone can never see my MBPr but the MBPr can see the iPhone. Pressing the "Pair" button on in the Bluetooth setting panel in OS X will trigger the pairing confirmation to show up on my iPhone. After confirming the pair request, the devices remain connected for no more than 2 seconds. Then they just disconnect. (The status is "Not connected" underneath my iPhone on the Devices list in OS X)
This has been bugging me for a while, even before I upgraded to iOS 8 and Yosemite. I was hoping the upgrade will solve the issue but apparently not. My iPad on the other hand has no problem in connecting and remaining connected to my MBPr. That's just baffling.
Just some context: the reason why I wanted to connect my MBPr and my iPhone via Bluetooth is because I want to use my my iPhone as the hotspot. Yes, I can use the USB cable, but can't blame me for trying the wireless route (And no, connecting via wifi doesn't work)
Any help is appreciated!Hi ddfaulk,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. This article has some steps you can try if you're unable to pair your iPhone 5s to your MacBook Pro over Bluetooth:
