Pairing iPhone with a 2006 Audi Q7

Anyone had any success pairing an iPhone with a 2006 Audi Q7. It initially seemed to pair with ease. Now it is less frequently creating a Bluetooth connection with the car. The phone is saying that it is successfully paired with the car. Any suggestions

Your iPhone is probably still running 1.1.3. If you upgrade to 1.1.4, your iPhone will be able to pair up with the GPS perfectly. I have two Garmin Nuvi 680s and my iPhones pair up with them with 1.1.4 with no problems.

  • Has anyone tried to pair the iphone with a 2006 Lexus GX470?

before opening the package I would like to know if anyone has been able to use the bluetooth capabilities of the iphone with a 2006 Lexus. Was you able to pair the phone to the car's bluetooth technology?

OK I do not have a Lexus, but I have a 2004 Prius with Nav and Bluetooth and as I understand it the Bluetooth is the same. It took me like 45 seconds to do it. I did not touch a manual. Go to the phone and then the set up. In my car it gives you the default password. Go to the settings-> Network -> Bluetooth on the iPhone type in the password and you are in. Uploading you phone book is another issue but can be done from you Mac or PC with Bluetooth or with a older Bluetooth phone.

  • HT201205 can't pair IPhone with SYNC in Ford

Have tried numerous times to pair IPhone 5 to SYNC system in two Ford vehicles.   Help?

This is a problem with the bluetooth and the macbook air.  I mentioned the reason behind my need to pair - as it is not to share music, internet, etc. which I understand may be an issue.  I cannot find how to get support from the app maker, which is apple from my understanding. This app, keynote, only controls the keynote app on my mac. I haven't had any problem pairing the iphone and keynote but I need to control my keynote using bluetooth, as I have no garuntee that I will always be in a place with wifi or be able to access the wifi.

  • Pair iphone with GPS receiver?

Is it possible to get an A2DP dongle for the iphone and then pair it with a bluetooth GPS receiver, thereby using the iPhone as a GPS? I don't want to buy all this junk if it's impossible. Thanks for any info!

No. Bluetooth only works for Audio.

  • Cannot pair iPhone with iMac

I have an iPhone 5c, iOS 8.1, and an iMac running Mavericks.  I am trying to pair my iPhone with the iMac (via Bluetooth) and it will not let me do so. I just finished reading a post from 2008, stating that it was not possible.  Is this true???  I could pair my old flip phone (non-Apple) to it without difficulty.  Hard to believe I cannot pair 2 Apple products together.
    Thanks,
    Glen

iOS devices don't natively support file transfer over BT.
You can use Photo Stream to access all of your pictures from all of your devices.

Depending on which model iMac you have, you may be able to use Airdrop.
Mac Basics: AirDrop lets you send files from your Mac to nearby Macs and iOS devices
I'd also take a look in the App Stores (Mac and iOS) for apps that will let you transfer pictures between the two devices wirelessly.

  • Pairing Iphone with Lexus

I previously had a 3G Iphone which paired brilliantly with my bluetooth system in my 4 year old car. However, the new 3GS Iphone does not pair at all, the Iphone can not find any devices. I'm guessing this maybe to do with the 3GS software being version 2.1 as opposed to 2.0 and is now not compatible with my LX-350 Lexus. If this is the case, is it possible to download the older version? or is there another way around this problem?

I had this same problem a couple of times with previous versions of the frimware on my Acura TL.... Here's what worked for me when I upgraded to the 3gs... Do a hard reset on your phone (hold the sleep/wake button and home button simultaneously for about 10 seconds or so) the phone will shut down... Release the two buttons and turn your phone back on... Try the pairing process now, it should have fixed the problem... If that doesn't fix the problem then do a restore in iTunes... The restore method worked for me back in the 2.0 firmware days.... Good luck

  • Problem after iOS5 with pairing iPhone with Car

I have a Lexus is250 which paired beautifully with my iPhone and I was able to play music from phone in my car.  Since the upgrade, I cannot.  I have "repaired" "Blue tooth audio", the radio in car "looks" like it is playing (you can use the controls on the car stereo to forward through playlist and it forwards on phone" but no sound comes out.  This worked perfectly fine before iOS.  Any ideas?  I've deleted and re-paired phone twice....

Same problem here with a 2011 Subaru Outback/Harman Kardon sound system. My iPhone 3GS used to work very well and auto-connect with the Harman Kardon system under iOS 4, but after upgrading to iOS 5 the iPhone looses connectivity each time I power the iPhone off and back on. It will keep connectivity as long as I do not do this. Turning the car off and back on works fine, connectivity re-establishes immediately. I even reset my iPhone and re-installed firmware and everything else - problem persists. SHAME ON APPLE FOR LOOSING CORE FUNCTIONALITY IN FAVOR OF BRINGING IN LOTS OF GIMMICS THAT ARE OF LITTLE OR NO USE IN EVERYDAY LIFE. SHAME ON APPLE ALSO FOR NOT PROPERLY BETA-TESTING THEIR SOFTWARE AND MAINTAINING BACKWARD-COMPATIBILITY IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM. We users should be entilted to monetary compensation from Apple whenever a software "upgrade" negatively affects a core functionality. Tim Cook, please correct some of the flawed corporate policies the belated Steve Jobs implemented. Apple still has a lot of room for improving! First of all, focus on optimizing core functionalities and their robustness before wasting time on changing icons or other cosmetic features.

  • Pairing iPhone with Jawbone

Can someone come back with a walk through over how to pair the iPhone with a Jawbone?
Mine won't. I keep thinking I am doing something out of sequence. But, no combination is working for me.
    B

Follow the instructions on page 9 of the Jawbone manual. On the iPhone bluetooth page under "Devices" you will see "Jawbone - Not Paired". Tap there to bring up the passkey page. Enter "0000" and press connect at the top right of the page.

  • Pairing iPhone with Plantronics Voyager 520

I cannot pair my iPhone with a new Voyager 520 headset. I was able to pair the last one (which died, so I had to buy a new one ....)

Without turning the headset on, turn the bluetooth on for the phone. Select the headset that is paired, and select Unpair. Then turn bluetooth off. Put the headset into the "discover" mode, by holding down the power button until the light flashes red and blue. Then turn the bluetooth on for the phone, and it should "discover" it. It should ask for the passcode, normally 0000. Once you enter that, it should pair. After that, you should be alright. You can turn the headset off and back on again and it should connect right away.
    Hope this helps.

  • Lost ability to pair iphone with vehicle

Up until last week, I had bluetooth connectivity with my iphone in my vehicle.  After upgrading to iOS 8.3, my iphone is no longer discoverable.  I reset network settings, tried to pair my phone with another vehicle, and nothing seems to work.  The telephone support folks believe it is a software problem.  Any chance this situation is going to get resolved.....

Hello, try to click in the info button next to the device's name then forget the accessories/vehicles you paired with and then try to pair again
    Hope this works for you!!

  • Pairing iPhone with MacBook on FIOS network

We recently got FIOS in our apartment. I have no problem connecting to our FIOS network on my MacBook via Airport or on my iPhone. However, I cannot get my iphone and MacBook to pair via FIOS. I recently had everything wiped off my MacBook and restored. I have Fliq Notes on my iPhone and had synced it using Mark/Space Notebook on the mac. Now, I can't access the notes or their categories on Mark/Space Notebook -- all that seems to be left is the application (recovered through Time Machine). I've been trying to get the information back onto my MacBook by syncing from the iPhone, but when I go to pair the two devices, I just get a ghosted "looking" within Fliq Notes. I'd prefer not having to purchase an ethernet cable, and want to know if there is another way to get the two to see each other and pair so I can sync the data.

You mentioned that the apps were restored from a backup. Try reinstalling the Missing Sync app on your computer. Next go thru the pairing process again. I don't have access to test pairing with a fiber optic connection. If you're able to pair, change the notes plugin settings to Device overwrites desktop. The notes database could be corrupted if the sync fails. You could locate the notebook database, move it and try the overwrite sync again.

  • Can't pair iphone with macbook (air)

I haven't been able to pair my iphone 3GS with my macbook. I want to pair it via bluetooth to use an app that I purchased to control keynote.
I have had this problem with a macbook and macbook air.  Two weeks ago my main computer was an older black macbook and my iphone would not pair with my macbook, I thought maybe because the macbook was just getting on; as my (bad) luck would have it I was foced to purchase a new computer, and purchased a macbook air and I am just finding that it still doesn't work.
When I go to pair it, I can get to the point where I accept the pair but then when I click on pair from the iphone, it says my macbook is not supported.
I have searched these forums and have not found an answer that works for me. Thanks in advance for any help that you can give.

This is a problem with the bluetooth and the macbook air.  I mentioned the reason behind my need to pair - as it is not to share music, internet, etc. which I understand may be an issue.  I cannot find how to get support from the app maker, which is apple from my understanding. I haven't had any problem pairing the iphone and keynote but I need to control my keynote using bluetooth, as I have no garuntee that I will always be in a place with wifi or be able to access the wifi.

  • Pair iPhone with alpine car radio

My iPhone 5 won't pair with the Alpine radio in my car. The iPhone 4 did it with no problems.

I have an Alpine CDE-103BT, had an iphone 4 paired to it. When I got my iPhone 5 I couldn't get it paired. It saw the unit but using 0000 failed each time even though the Alpine manual said to use it and that worked with the iPhone 4. I bought the Stereo at Crutchfield which has lifetime support for anything you get from them. After several hours of searching and reading forums I broke down and called Crutchfield. Supplied my order number and explained what was happening. They told me even though the maunal say use 0000 , try 1234 . Did 1234 and I now have the iPhone5 paired to my Alpine.

  • Cannot pair iPhone with hands free car system

I am having trouble with my Merecedes recognizing my iPhone. I paired it and the phone is "authorized" with the car, but when I try to connect the two, the screen for the phone flashes and then disappears saying "no phone". It worked fine with my Blackberry but won't connect to the iPhone. iPhne help says perhaps my car system is not compatible, but it is a 2007 model and the Blackberry 8700 had no problems. Can anyone help?

I have been having the same problems. Do you use a PC or a Mac to sync with your iPhone? I think the problem is with PC's but I am not sure yet. It may have something to do with an apple device driver on PC's. Mine works if I restart the driver in the computer and sync it but I have to do every day.
