Pairing with a tablet

hi
i am one of the countless fans who believe in the future of tablets in particular Android tablets.
now, i currently own an unlocked Nokie E5 and have an "unlimited" internet/data tariff with T-mobile UK.
i havn't got an Android tablet yet but i want to ask how do i tether it with my mobile phone in order to access the internet via the 3G/HSDPA network? is tethering that easy with the E5? do i need an app to download or change any settings?
i have already contacted the maker of the tablet (Archos) and they said this issue would probablly have more insight from the network and the phone itself which is Nokia
the reason why i ask this is because when i travel sometimes there are no wi-fi hotspots and so i want to utilise and exploit my phone and my network's power....
please help.....

Hi Have you managed to get this working? I'm also trying to connect an Archos 5 Internet Tab (Android), unlocked E5 on Virgin mobile. I couldn't tether with my old phone Nokia E63 either. Thanks

Satellite C850-1C4 - Win 8.1 Cannot pair with Android tablet

Hi Folks,
i've been trying to pair my memo pad without success (my first try with BT).
The memo pad discovers the PC and the passkey dialog box pops up on the pc. I confirm and the tablet states it is paired.
That's as far as it goes. There's no indication on the pc that the device is recognised so cannot connect. Am I missing something or doing something wrong? I'd like to get this working.
I downloaded the new BT stack a a couple of weeks ago before trying to pair.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

First of all you should check if the BT is enabled on the notebook properly.
In Windows 8 you can enable the BT in:
1. Press the Windows key + C,
2. Select the Settings charm, and then click Change PC settings
3. Select Wireless.
4. You can now change the Wireless or Bluetooth settings to On or Off.
If BT is enabled properly, you should be able to add the BT device.
In PC Settings -> Devices click on Add a Device.
Now an box should appear showing you the BT device which should be connected.
The left click on this device and after short time the box with the pairing passcode (the same should be visible on your tablet) should appear.
Then click Yes to confirm and finish the paring.
That’s it.

New dualshock3 controller don't pair with z2 tablet

Today I received my new dualshock3 controller but when I connect it to my z2 tablet and try to pair them after some seconds I receive this message :
Unfortunately, dualshock3 wireless controller stopped
Anyone have the same problem?
What do I do?

Is the controller charged? is it a Sony DualShock 3 or a third party? Are you using the proper cable?

My HP Roar Mini wireless gives me an error code when I try to pair with new Samsung S Tab...invalid PIN or Password.How to I get it to connect?

If the speaker is charging, the light is solid amber. My bluetooth keyboard (Macnus 3.0) is recognised by my iMac but will not pair? I have paired it with my iPad using code 8310 but it still will not pair with my iMac. Can someone help please?

There are very scant instructions with the keyboard and no mention of any code (the code was prompted by my iPad).

Hi All, thank you for you suggestions. I have been unable to find any website for the maker, but have looked at several Thai/cambodian sites incl <http://www.buycoms.com/Article/8435/index.asp> which mentions the keyboard being suitable for tablet or windows. No mention of iMac! although the box is branded to indicate Mac compatable.
I'm thinking that maybe it just will not pair with an iMac.
Ill keep looking for the maker website, which might come on later in the future? maybe?

AT200 pairing with Bluetooth Mouse

I've just bought an AT200 tablet, my first Android device which i've upgraded to ICS (Android v4.02)
I'm trying to pair a bluetooth mouse with the tablet. Like many bluetooth devices, the mouse requires no passcode, but when I try to pair with it Android insists that I enter a passcode, until i do the "OK" is greyed out.
Ive tried 0000 , 1234, and lots of others but nothing works, since the mouse insists on No Passcode.
In Windows its easy because the windows bluetooth interface has a "No Passcode" option, but this isn't present in Android
Anyone have any ideas of a work round?

sorry I can't help you with your BT mouse but what I find most interesting about your post is that you have been lucky to upgrade to Android 4.02.
It would be very kind of you if you could shortly answer my questions which I guess are very important for European owners of the AT200, too
Am I right in assuming that you have simply upgraded through Toshiba's Service Station app?
Does your AT200 support any other languages (e.g. German ,French, Spanish) besides English?
Do you think everything is running smooth with Android 4?

Iphone paired with ipad

Hey all,
I have been an android user for pretty much my entire life. I picked up an ipad mini and it is serving me well. I have the first generation. Aside from its horrible lag and having to restart every app and reload every webpage each time, i am very enjoying the ipad mini for school use and light media consumption and web surfing.
I plan to continue using the ipad mini for school. I might pick up the 2nd or even the third gen(not released yet) depending on how cheap they are during the holiday sales.
What bothers(just a little) me is that I have an ipad and an android phone. I kinda want the continuity feature carrying over from one device to another whether it be from ios to ios or android to android.
So with that being said, is it worth getting an iphone just so i can have continuity between my two devices? What do you guys think? What are the advantages of having an iphone paired with an ipad compared to having an android and an ipad?
I am skeptical because the new iphones are horrible but if the advantage is big, i might just push the trigger.
I thought about picking up an android tablet and just going with pure android across my devices but i recently bought a $100 itunes gift card.

I have the same issue when pairing with my car radio (JVC KD-X50BT). Didn't find a way to reproduce it yet, though.

MTP WiFi pair with Windows 8.1?

Has anybody made ths work? Trying to pair my Xperia Tablet Z with my Win 8.1 laptop. Both WiFis are on. Setting in tablet Xperia menu enables MTP. Plug in USB cable. PC host sees tablet and its files just fine but there is never an offer to pair fo allow MTP over WiFi. Seems like this was very straightforward in Win 8.0...

You need to use PC Companion to setup MTP IP connection (pair).
You can download PC Companion from here: http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
In PC Companion click "How to connect" and choose Wi-Fi.

Can a link 5 usb key paired with hp's wireless elite keyboard?

Hi, I have a link 5 wireless mouse and a old hp's wireless elite keyboard. I don't know if they both use bluetooth or one is bluetootha and the other 2.4GHz or not. But can a link 5 usb key paired with a hp's version 1 wireless keyboard? If not, how can I get a wireless usb key for my hp wireless eilte keyboard?

It is only mention v2 not v1, so not sure if it will work. You should not be able to buy a key, because each device is sold with their specific usb receiver, so the answer is, you cannot get one, except if you buy a new part.

Pxc360bt not pairing with iMac

I have a pair of Sennheiser pxc360bt bluetooth headphones which pair fine with my 4g ipod touch and even my android tablet. However when i try to pair with my imac (intel i5) it cannot find the headphones when i search for available devices in the bluetooth setup assistant. Any ideas how to fix the issue. I assume its a problem with the mac and not the headphones.

I had already deleted the KB from the bluetooth preferences and it was discoverable, so no idea why it wasn't working.
However, eventually what ended up working was that I turned the iMac off, I took the keyboard to work (i.e. away from anywhere near the iMac's vicinity) and then when I brought it back at the end of the day, the green light suddenly started blinking again and the iMac discovered the KB. I don't know how these things are designed but apparently, you need to take the KB out of the range of the device it was formerly paired with EVEN IF you have deleted the device from the bluetooth preferences. Otherwise, somehow, the pairing is still remembered and the device is not recognized.
If this happens again, next time, I'll try your reset SMC suggestion. thanks for your help.

Z1 Compact won't pair with SmartWatch 2...??

I just upgraded from an Xperia V to the Z1 Compact.
My SW2 used to work 100% with my Xperia V - now it won't pair with my Z1 Compact....
I keep getting a 'Read error - Try again' message.
When I go into Bluetooth, the SW2 is there and paired, but it doesn't work and the SW2 doesn't show as connected in the notification bar - and I can't change anything in the Smart Connect settings.
Even when I get a message 'Smartwatch 2 Connected', it doesn't work.

I have an Xperia V, Z1 Compact, SW2 and Tablet S - I'm about to chuck all these devices out and change to Apple - tired of struggling with Sony devices!!

Before it can pair with a new device you need to perform a reset on the watch - So on your watch open Settings then at the bottom select Reset SmartWatch - then try and pair
This is because the Watch still thinks your other phone is the Main device and won't allow changes to be made

I am wondering if and how I can pair my SmartWatch 2 with multiple Android devices. I mean not at the same time, but I want to use the SmartWatch with my smartphone OR with my tablet.

To make another paring you need to reset the SW2 from Settings -> Reset SmartWatch and then pair it using NFC or search for it using bluetooth. Depending on your phone/tablet you may have to remove the pairing there as well.

Is there a stereo bluetooth headset that can pair with more than one device at a time?

Is there a stereo bluetooth headset that can pair, i.e. multipoint, with more than one device at a time?
Are the MacBook and iPhone 4 capable of multipoint bluetooth technoloagy?
The goal is for my wife to be able to watch her Korean TV soap operas on her MacBook and still receive a call on her iPhone 4 via a stereo bluetooth headset.
I was looking at the Motorola S10-HD but after further review saw that it only pairs with one device at a time.
Appreciate any and all input. My Googling has returned no results.

You can only pair one device at a time to your 8330, or any other phone for that matter. The "pairings" are saved to the phone, you can use one or the other and you won't have to pair it again. Once you turn your bluetooth device on and the phone is on, they will find each other again.

Brian - The batteries are fine and there has only every been one keyboard paired with it. We have tried my MacPro keyboard as well, and it will not even recognise that there is a discoverable keyboard nearby.

Mac OS 10.4.3 freezing/locking up with Wacom tablet and driver

Hey guys, I have recently purchased the Wacom Intuos3 6x11 tablet and now my PowerBook freezes after like 10 minutes to 2 hours I plug it in. So far I have tried removing and installing different drivers. I have also have reinstalled my system (erase and install, custom no printer drivers and foreign languages) I have run permissions repair, disk repair, Extended Apple Hardware Test, and I have also rest the PRAM - I'm running out options. I don't have any other drivers installed yet, only some apps like Adobe CS2, Alias SketchBookPro 2, Painter 9. The system runs fine without the driver but it makes the tablet useless. Also the tablet runs w/o any issues on my Windows machine (XP pro).
Oh, I have also re-calibrated my tablet and still nothing.
The lock-ups happen no matter in what application I am in or what I'm doing.
Any ideas?
Also, Wacom tech guys have no idea what to do with this one.

I've been running with that tablet since October with no problems on my G4 800 Dual, except for an annoying scrolling problem in Safari. You might try launching Console and leave it in the background and see if any messages show up when the problem occurs. You might also check the system.log in Console and see if you spot anything in there, though that is harder to sort out. Also in Console take a look in ~/Library/Logs CrashReporter section and see if there are any crash logs involving the tablet. You might also run the hardware test disk to see if it spots anything wrong. It could be a problem with the USB plug.
