Pairs - then looses ability to connect
The iPhone and Jabra BT350 pairs perfectly and then works fine, even after setting iPhone to sleep and back on.
However, after I've separated them (more than 30ft and/or over night) the iPhone is unable to use the headset. It reports it still as being paired. I can un-pair and re-pair just fine (so battery is not an issue for either device), but then the same scenario plays out.
Anyone else seeing this behavior? Ideas?

No, I don't believe you can with the Airport Express. But I believe you can use dial up with the Airport Extreme with the modem/antenna port. You wouldn't need to buy the USB modem.

PS You do have a phone line, why can't you get DSL? I go to school in the middle of maine where the population triples during hunting season and I got DSL wired/enabled in my room. It is pretty cheap and a lot faster then dial up.

I am not certain this will fix your problem but I suggest you assign the printer a static IP address.
Using the printer's front panel, select Menu > Network > WLAN > TCP/IP > Boot method, and change it to "static". Provide a static IP address that is on your LAN's subnet.
For example, if you are using an AirPort Extreme, you might give it an IP address of 10.0.1.100. If you are using a Netgear or Linksys router that defaults to issuing 192.168.x.x addresses, you might give it an address of 192.168.1.100. That way, the printer will always "reside at the same address" on your network. If your router has the ability, you should reserve that address so that the router does not attempt to assign it to another DHCP device.
Then, go to System Preferences > Print & Scan, and delete your existing printer with the "–" (minus) button. Add it again, using the "+" (plus) button. In the window that appears, select the IP pane, and from the Protocol menu select "Line Printer Daemon (LPD)". In the Address field type the IP address you gave your printer.
If all goes well the "Pring Using" field will detect the printer at that address and automatically select the appropriate driver. You will see something similar to the following screenshot ("name" can be whatever you decide, and "location" is optional):
Click Add, then you can close System Preferences.
There are other possible reasons your printer is "not responding" which could include wireless interference from competing wireless networks, but try this "static IP" method first. It should mitigate the problem. -
I use my cell as my home phone and the GE Gateway worked fine with my old LG flip phone. I have been unable to get the IPhone 4 to connect.
It sees the GE21518 and connects for 1/2 second but then goes to not connected. I have a Motorolla T505 in the car as a hands free Bluetooth and that seems to be working OK. Can someone tell me why I loose my wireless connection from my laptop when I go to make a phone call with my phone?

Go to Solution.Your phone is probably on the 2.4Ghz frequency which is the same frequency wireless routers operate on. Try changing the channel on the router to one that is far enough away from the phone's frequency so they don't interfere with each other.
To change the channel on the router:
In Internet Explorer, type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar
On the login page that comes up, type admin for the username and password1 for the password (ignore the dots)
Click Change Wireless Settings under Quick Links in the My Router column of the front page.
Under option 3. Channel, select a number from 1 - 11 then click Apply at the bottom of the page.
Click Apply again to save the changes if it asks.
It is pretty much trial and error in determining which channel will be furthest from your phone's frequency, and you might even not find a channel that keeps your wireless connection up every time your on the phone. I had the same problem with my own cordless phone and a linksys router that I ended up having to purchase a new phone in the 5.8Ghz range to keep my connection. With that said, I hope you have better luck then me with this situation.

I am having this problem as well. In the last week or two, my calendars haven't been syncing properly. Nothing goes updates to my main computer from the phone. Then in the last few days I could only access the internet sporadically, today not at all. No map showing in the gps, safari doesn't work, no weather... It says 'Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding'. The 3G wheel is spinning and shows that there is service.
I reset my phone completely a couple of days ago, reset history/cache, etc in settings, have turned it off and on, etc with no change. -

There are no dumb questions...answers, yes, but not questions. Sometime I use acronyms and forget that I should explain things a bit more.
Resetting those two things sometimes helps and cannot hurt.

I have a very irritating problem with my MacBook Pro. It keeps loosing the wifi connection - every 5-1o minutes!!!
I have testet the wifi signal and had my router checked - both are fine.
Please tell me what I can do :-(
JohnFirst you should check on another Wifi to see if it's your Lion machine.
If it only occurs on your Wifi, then perhaps you have local interference and need to set the router on another channel far from others.
You can install a free program called KisMAC that you set your Driver Preferences to Apple Airport Extreme Passive Mode, enter your Admin password and monitor your local Wifi signals, see if you cna pin point the cause of your interference or meddler.
If your not running WPA2 with AES and a 12 plus random character/letter/number password for both Admin and Internet access use only then you should seriously consider doing so.

When I login to Horizon View, it shows me the list of desktops to connect to. If I'm entitled to only one desktop then can View auto connect me to that desktop instead of me clicking on Connect.

Right click any desktop in the list > Settings > in the left pane select the desktop you want to auto connect to > check "Auto connect to this desktop". -

We are on a 20mb broadband connection and there is around 20 people using computers at my work but when I start my Adobe Cloud Product update or when I try and download my Adobe Cloud Product everyone at my work looses their internet connection and so do I. But the update keeps downloading and installing.
I am sorry FooWingLi but the difficulties you are describing sounds more like a local network configuration issue. I would recommend working with your I.T. department to investigate this matter.

Hi, I dropped my i-phone 4 down the toilet 6 days ago and have left it in rice to dry out. When i try turning it on there is no power. I connected to charger and the apple sign appears. After a while it shows iOS6 on screen and then asks me to connect to i-tunes however my i-phone does not appear on i-tunes. Can you advise me what to do next?

I am being charged for international msgs which i haven't sent to a number of the UK.i tried to activate my iMessage and FaceTime using wifi but then it didn't connect. all settings have been turned off in my phone! i also have reset my phone with all the settings. but when i contacted my carrier, he said that the balance deduction is because of the international messages i have sent, but i have sent NONE! every time i switch on my phone, balance gets deducted. imessage and facetime are all disabled! but then the problem started since yesterday when i tried to activate them but had disabled them all at the next moment! but the charges are still being applicable for some international messages as per my mobile carrier. what to do? is there some problem with my phone or carrier?

I have now 3 times added nearly 30 gigs of music onto this **** Iphone 4, then when it decides by itself to sync it goes into a massive re-sync then looses the lot. I restore it and in iTunes It shows that the music is on my phone, but nothing works and then it reverts to about 60megs of music and the **** lot has gone again. I am really getting upset that I can spend 12 hours adding the music back on only for it all to disappear in 12 seconds and wont come back again. I have manage music and videos ticked and all the music is ticked in my library, I have tried un-ticking and re-ticking but it simply does not work. please can anyone help as I am at the point of binning Apple for Samsung as its happening to lots of people I know with nothing coming from Apple on why?

SteveYou have fallen for the great Verizon Wireless Lie, most customers don't use over 2Gb and its a better plan, and unlimited is unsustainable yada yada yada.
However your choices were getting new devices for cheap so if you paid full price for your device at $700 each, you would have kept unlimited and paid no $30 upgrade fee. Per line.
Now add up the additional cost of that data usage and it is way over the cost of what paying full price would have cost you.
and being in a contract with an early termination fee it all adds up.
Verizon claims unlimited data is unsustainable, but you can see its sustainable only when you get charged mucho bucks in $10-$15 overages per GB.

My Mini pairs but will no longer connect to my speakers.
My Mini will pair to my bluetooth speakers but will no longer connect to them. I've tried restarting the computer, deleting the speakers as a device and rediscovering and pairing them,. They will connect to my iPhone so the problem seems to be with the computer.
