PAL dvd Menu not accepting audio files

I need some help!
I am converting an NTSC DVD to PAL.
My menu is a short video loop with audio. But I cannot seem to find an audio format that the menu will accept.
I tried to make a .wav and a .ac3 audio file so far but neither is working.
I have .m2v and .ac3 files in my Timelines and they all play their audio.
How is the Menu different?
Any suggestions?
W

Sorry about this but more information is needed here.
1 - What is your OS and system spec?
2 - How are you doing the conversion from NTSC to PAL?
3 - Are you sure that the frame rates match?
4 - Is either the menu M2V file or the menu AC3 file carrying a different frame rate - they should both be the same - 29.97 drop frame or non-drop (drop frame is more usual but as long as both match it should be okay)

  • ITunes 10.2.1 does not accept audio-file downloads

I just updated to iTunes 10.2.1 a couple of days ago, and today discovered that I can no longer drag and drop audio files from http://www.freeotrshows.com/ as I have been doing for several months.
With the previous version of iTunes, for example, I'd go to the above site, click on a show, drag and drop it into my iTunes window (into my playlist called "Old Time Radio"). No problem.
Now, when I drag it to the window, the little green "copy" icon appears with the cursor arrow, but nothing happens. The audio file never appears. No informational message appears. When I move the cursor, the green copy icon disappears. A total non-event.
How do I get 10.2.1 to do what the previous versions have done? (And yes, the audio files are free downloads.)
    Thanks for any real solutions.

I solved my problem I tried several other programs to play my music and since nothing seemed to work, i started deleting other software from my computer and apparently Uniblue's RegistryBooster was the one that caused the problem. Now able to enjoy music from my computer again

  • I'm having problems uploading video taken with my iPhone 4 to Photobucket.  FB will not accept the file extension which is ex. IMG_423.  They will play on my computer and will upload to Facebook.  Why is the phone taking video with this file instead of so

I'm having problems uploading video taken with my iPhone 4 to Photobucket.  FB will not accept the file extension which is ex. IMG_423.  They will play on my computer and will upload to Facebook.  Why is the phone taking video with this file instead of something like .mov or mp4.  How can I change the extension after the fact and avoid it in the future?

You said, "the 4 also has signal and wifi whereas the 5 has only wifi". By "signal", I'm assuing that you mean cellular signal. If so, that means your iPhone 4 is still active on your cellular number and your iPhone 5 is not. Contact your carrier to sort out which phone is active on your account.

  • Bluetooth not accepting incoming files

recently my bluetooth will not accept incoming files from my lg viewty and says connection is not possible but it will work with my friends macbook, it allows files to be sent from my macbook to my viewty though.
    any ideas whats wrong?

I'm having the same problem. Bluetooth says that everything is fine when I look at the advanced settings except that my phone is not connected. I am able to send files to my phone, but not vice versa. I can browse the folders on my phone, but they are all empty. I have tried shutting both off and restarting and resetting the device connection. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I also think I should mention the fact that the phone did in fact used to work with my macbook before the Leopard update, so I'm almost positive it isn't the phone.

Please let me know, for me it looks like the strctures are same..Why is it not accepting..

    Hi,
it seems you have created data and message type for the structure, thats why it is having NS0 tags and XML name space,
    even encoding also different.
you have to handle this, best way is convert your test data in to XSD using any XML tool, and import it..it will work.
    or
remove XML Name space in message type and try it,i think it will work.

I understand the confusion. Those tracks are royalty free to the owner of the tracks, yes. The terms of use of the iTunes Store still state, though, that all purchases are for your own personal use and cannot be used commercially:
    USAGE RULES
    1. You shall be authorized to use iTunes Products only for personal, noncommercial use.
They're probably fine for presentations in a class or to a group at your company, but you probably could not post the presentation or a video using these tracks on a public site. I'm no lawyer, though, to legally define what would and would not constitute "noncommercial". It's probably best to just buy your tracks directly from one of these sites of royalty-free music. Then the use license should be completely clear.
    Regards.

  • PAL DVD Disc not being read

I recently tried my first hand at burning a DVD. Accidentally I burnt it in PAL format. I was using Toast 7. It burnt well, no problems, and was readable on my DVD player. But as it was my first attempt it was merely a test DVD+RW that had a menu a short vid and an audio file. I was testing that this would all work. And it did...
When I put the DVD back into my computer it cannot be read, or atleast it wants me to think that. It is not showing up on the desktop nor in the finder window. When I open up toast it can read it and all its contents when I go to disc info. Then I tried to click erase and am given option of erase or quick erase. If I click on either one I get the error "The drive is busy or has been reserved by anotehr application." At first I thought this was a Toast issue, but seeing as how it can recognize it and others cant (DVD Player gives me error about not supported format) I thus think this is an OSX issue.
So I guess my question is, sorry about the long leader, does make support PAL discs? Is there any way, short of getting a PAL computer drive/operating system, to read this disc in order to erase the contents (remember its a DVD+RW) inorder to use it again. Can I force Toast to erase it bypassing the error? Is this disc a gonner, waste of plastic?
    Any info would be helpful.
    Thanks
    mad-elph

It shouldn't matter what TV format a rewritable dvd was burned under when it comes to erasing it - it should just be erased. There are a few options to try here.
    1. delete the current toast preference file and restart.
    2. Delete the cache file (or you can do a clean of all user cache files which might be easier) using one of several 3rd party apps - here's a free one - http://www.titanium.free.fr/pgs/english.html
    3. Reinstall a fresh copy of Toast
    Hope this helps.

  • How can I control whether or not an audio files plays when a slide starts?

I am putting together a course and have a welcome audio that plays automatically when the user begins the course. Since that slide has a list of the modules that will be in the course, I would also like to use it as one navigation option - click the "Menu" link on any slide and return to this page.
The problem: Every time the page is hit the audio plays.
The question: How can I set the audio so it only plays the first time the page is entered but not again?
I have created a variable called "PlayWelcomeAudio" and set it to "Y" initially, then have an Advanced Action script that changes the variable to "N" when it is clicked (progress through the course is linear so there is only one option available to the user at this point. Clicking that link opens the next page and sets "PlayWelcomeAudio" to "N".
I can see that the variable has been set correctly (when I start it is "Y" and when I come back it is "N") but I'm not seeing anyplace where I can set the audio file so it doesn't play.
I tried setting cpCmndMute to "1" but that didn't work because it is apparently a global setting and I didn't get any audio playing anywhere after that.
I'm not looking to pause the timeline or anything like that. I just want the audio to play the first time but not the second and subsequent times that page is hit.
    Thoughts? Suggestions?
    Thanks.
    Michael

Attach your welcome audio to an object that is not seen (e.g. a highlight box set to 0%) and use your Advanced Actions and variables to HIDE this object ON SLIDE ENTER if the user returns to the same Menu slide at a later point in the course module.
This should mean that the first time the user gets to that slide, the audio will play.  But all subsequent times they return to that slide, the object will be immediately hidden on entering the slide, which will mean that the audion does not play and all the user sees are the menu options.
Your alternate strategy would be to have two slides that look almost the same.  The first one has the audio, and the second one doesn't.  Your TOC item for Menu, and any other links in the project that point to the Menu, would go to the second slide without audio.  The user will be none the wiser as long as you work out the navigation.

  • PAL DVD framerate not working

    Hello,
I recently released a DVD in both NTSC and PAL formats. All of the footage was shot using AVCHD cameras, and edited in HD in FCP. Here was my workflow for compressing/converting:
    1) Export .mov file from FCP in HD
    2) Compress in compressor using 120 minute DVD compression. I compressed once in NTSC, and once in PAL.
    3) I then built my DVD in DVD Studio Pro using NTSC format. Once the NTSC was completed, I saved a copy of my project, removed all video clips, and then changed the format to PAL and reimported all the PAL clips and reassigned them to their assets. This SHOULD work I would think, and for the most part it did. Most PAL customers have had no issues.
The problem I am having is kind of baffling me. I am in the USA, so I have no true way to test the PAL version other than seeing that it plays in my Mac and not in my TV and DVD player. About 80% of the customers have had no problems with the PAL DVD, but others have had issues where the framerate was severely messed up and unwatchable. Can anyone shed some light on this? It was not one country specifically... I have had this complaint from Europe and Australia. I have had no problems at all with NTSC customers.
I know that most PAL players can play NTSC also, but sending everyone NTSC is not the ideal solution. I want to fix the actual problem so PAL works as it should.
    Thanks in advance!

Shooting and editing was 29.97, HD 1440x1080i. I compressed to PAL using 16:9 aspect ratio. In quicktime, everything plays fine. The m2v files are fine and the DVD plays fine in DVD Player. Only 10-20% of people have this issue, while its fine with others. The DVD is burned region free if that matters.

  • ITunes not updating audio files on iPhone 4s

On Mac 10.7.2, iTunes 10.5.1, and iOS 5.0.1. I have made changes to the genre of a few of my audio files but they are not updating on iTunes. iTunes appears to go through the entire process of syncing but no changes are made. I'm assuming I'm not the only one this has happened to so are there any known solutions?
    Thanks!

  • Itunes producer does not accept itmsp file

Having a problem with ITPR accepting the .itmsp package. Neither dropping from Finder nor selecting choose and navigating to file will allow file to drop (greyed out via Finder attempt to open).
Not sure what the problem is…I changed “textbook” to Book on first pane in ITPR because this book is not a textbook, but a book of images. I tried to change back to textbook, but that option is no longer available?
Since all the data is entered I would really prefer not to start from scratch….if it is choosing "book" rather than “textbook” which was mistaken, how to undo?
But that is a guess - any other reason ITPR would not accept the .itmsp file but does accept .ibooks file?
    any help appreciated,

No red K T. To make sure we are on the same page (pane): ITPR>ASSETS with two placeholders...
The issue is that ITPR does not recognize the itmsp file - won't accept it. No error return, just nada.
FWIW, I decided to start again because I've become convinced there is a glitch in ITPR (I've written feedback)
This time I set prefs in iba to open itpr on creation of the itmsp. (That is a lot of abbreviations )
ITPR opens up WITH the itmsp file preloaded and accepts the droppped ibooks file. I am currently re entering 32 price listings - a terrible waste of time. Hope you can add the feedback I just have to the iba and itpr teams....

  • Adobe PSE 11 will not accept video files (in slide show)

Although my video files are in a format supposedly accepted by PSE 11, each time I attempt to insert a video file, I'm informed that the file was skipped because it is not one of the acceptable Windows video formats (which is incorrect as the files are in the organizer and listed as acceptable).
    How can this be corrected?
    Thank you

    Dale Mullen
Video files are not supported by the Photoshop Elements 11 Editor or any other version of Photoshop Elements (photo editor), but are accepted for placement in the Elements Organizer. The Slideshow Editor is a feature of the Elements Organizer (Windows), and it does not accept video inclusion unless "Windows video formats".
As an example, one of my cameras offers H.264.mov. But can be placed in the Elements Organizer, but are not accepted in the Elements Organizer/Create/Slideshow/Slideshow Editor. This is not something new to Photoshop Elements 11 or Elements Organizer 11.
What is the destination for your Elements Organizer 11 Slideshow...Premiere Elements 11? If so, place these video files in the slideshow once it gets to Premiere Elements after you used the Slideshow Editor command Edit with Premiere Elements Editor. Once the slideshow is in Premiere Elements using that command, you can right click the slideshow on the Timeline, select Break Apart Elements Organizer Slideshow, and do more editing, including video import with Add Media/Files and Folders/Project Assets to the Timeline.
Please do not hesitate to ask questions or ask for clarification, but what I just described is "it is what it is".
    Thanks.

  • Problem Premiere CC not sending audio file to Adobe Audition

    Hello,
I have an audio clip in Premiere Pro CC that I am attempting to send to Audition via dynamic link with "Edit Clip In Adobe Audition."  I have done this in the past but not since I have upgrade all my versions from the CS6 version to the CC 2014 versions.  Previously it worked without incident.  Here is what happens now.
    1.  I right click the audio track (Mono-005.wav) in the premiere pro cc timeline.
    2.  I select "Edict Clip in Adobe Audition.
    3.  In Premiere Pro CC a new audio track is generated (MONO-005 Audio Extracted.wav) on the timeline - replacing the previous track (MONO-005.wav) and in my Premiere Pro CC media bin BUT it never opens up in Adobe Audition....the program (Adobe Audition) never even attempts to open up.
I was getting the Audition error "primary temp volume cannot be found" so I went in to Audition and changed the Media & Disk Cache file location and now I can open up the Adobe Audition program just fine if I am clicking it directly to open.  However, whenever I attempt to bring an audio file from premiere with dynamic link (as referenced above) Audition does not even attempt to open.
    Software
    Adobe Audition Build 7.2.0.52
Adobe Premiere Pro CC Build 8.1.0 (81)
    Computer
    Processor - Intel (R) Xeon (R) CPU   X5560 @ 2.80 GHz 2.79 GHz (2 processors)
RAM 48 GB (currently 40 GB usable)
    64 bit operating system
Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Had this issue before.  Check the file associations to see if Audition CC 2014 is set as the default editing program to open sesx files, etc.
You might want to make sure that all the other apps are set as well.  I have three versions of the software on my machine, and I had to do this to ensure the latest version was set as the default app for the appropriate file types to make dynamic linking work.
