Palm Calendar Desktop lost all info

I am trying to locate the backup file on my computers harddrive. The Palm calendar has lost all of my information.
I am running Windows XP. There is no phone syncronization to use.
Please tell me where to find the backup.

If it is on your computer it is in the cdrive. Start/My Computer/Local Disc (C/Program Files/Palm/ and open the folder with your hotsync name and it should be in there. I hope you can find it in there. Your device has the proper operating system on it for a free app called NVBackup. If you were using this with automatic backups on it you would have this info and more on the memory card that is in your devise. NVBackup does a complete clone of everything on your devise and it is free. NVBackup download link

A backup doesn't contain any of your iTunes downloads or the contents of the Music, Videos or iBooks apps. If they are ibooks and they are still in the store then you should be able to redownload them via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app. If they are PDFs and/or epubs from other sources then do you have copies of them anywhere e.g. are they in the Books part of your computer's iTunes library or elsewhere on your computer ?

Latest version is 6.1 now. Try a direct download of the IOS file and load that via iTunes. Mentioned on some of the other threads here.

Can't add to calendar and lost all previous info on Calendar

I am having problems coming to terms with IOS7 , in fact hate it. I have lost all my details in my calendar which I relied on. I cannot add anything to it. What am I dong wrong please?

Wish I had an answer, Zooey. I have the same issue. If I open the mail in safari and then click on it, it installs straight away. I, however, prefer Firefox. And Firefox cannot figure out what to do with the file. It turns it into an mpeg that is not a movie and cannot open. Really hate having to launch a second browser just to add events to iCal... grrrrrrrr...

Imac calendar lost all info

Hi guys, Just noticed my calendar on Imac has lost all its information. Not sure if it happened in the last update.
All other Apple products, calendars are fine, not an issue.
Don't understand whats happened as I use ICloud.
I would appreciate any advice anyone has please.

Lost all info on ipod

My daughter updated to the new 5.1 software on her ipod touch and she lost all her info? can anyone help?

At the start of the update process iTunes asked her if she wanted to make a backup. Then at the end of the update it asked her if she wanted to restore from the backup. Unless she responded Yes to both, the data was not transferred.
If she did make a backup, but did not restore from it, you can still retrieve it by right-clicking on the iPod name in the Devices list and selecting to restore from the backup.
Purchases from iTunes Store should be on the computer normally used to sync the iPod to (or can be re-downloaded for free). Photos, addresses, etc., should also exist on the computer, if regularly synced. If so, you can sync them again to the iPod.

what do you mean by "synced" ? itunes? or signed into his icloud?
if you mean itunes , you can go to edit preferences devices and see if you have any backups there if you do resorre the back up
if you mean icloud jsut sing back into your icloud account and your info should come back (contacts ect.)

EXT HD shutting down after upgrade. Lost all info on a WD and G drive is starting to shut down. How do I fix? Fear my back up are going to fail.

After upgrading I have lost one WD drive completely. My WD drive with time machine has started to shut off suddenly. I have removed it and going to see if it is fried. My G drive just shut down with the same error. This has all my light room photos & have backed up all info on this drive to a new G RAID. as well as a 1T ext WD. I fear I will lose my backup of my backups. How do I fix this before I loose everything?

Not a solution, but something to try.
In the Energy Saver preference window, do you have the "Put the hard disk....possible." checked or unchecked?
Try it the opposite of what you have selected now.
Also, do you have the same problem if the energy saver is moved to Never?

Palm Zire 31 lost all calendar appointments

When I opened the Palm on my PC today, all appointments on the calender were gone. Events with no time at the top of each day still appear. The contacts list is still intact. My portable unit is working but it was last hotsynced a week ago.

I had the same problem--randomly disappearing data--and I emailed Palm about it from this site several weeks ago. They never responded. I finally called Palm tech support (since I'm still within 90 days of purchase, I didn't have to pay for it). The guy I spoke to, who was very helpful, asked me if I'd had a Palm before, which I had; the new machine was a replacement for my old one. He correctly surmised that the problem was the result of my Desktop software having reached maximum data. He had me purge the old date (Pick a date in the calender for which you want to purge all prior entries; go to Tools; pick "Purge Events"; Choose "Delete events older than 1 week" and hit "OK.") It worked, thank God, 'cause I'm fed up with missing appointments!
Maybe this solution is way obvious and you've all tried it with no success, but I thought I'd put it out there, 'cause it worked for me.

Lost all info in calendar

My son deleted all my APPTS and info in my calendar. Is there a way get them all back?

Google Calendar has lost all my events, could this have happened with the last upgrade of Firefox

All my events suddenly disappeared after my last upgrade of FireFox. I have deleted cookies etc but no events show up from Fire Fox or IE8 attempts. I believe this is a Google issue as a result of their attempt to upgrade their own Google Calendar product. Can you confirm this is absolutely not a FireFox related issue?
Also my Wall Street Journal now fails to load articles sending me a "failure to load type message...please try again" message. On the please try again the clicked article loads ok and all others load as long as I don't close FireFox.
Ideas would be appreciated.

Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" in "Clear Recent History" will remove exceptions that are stored in content-prefs.sqlite (site specific settings for zoom) and permissions.sqlite (exceptions for images, cookies, pop-ups, software; Tools > Page Info > Permissions) in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder].
The password exceptions (Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: Show Passwords) are also removed from signons.sqlite.

Lost all info on handheld.

The battery ran out on my Tungsten E2 and much, but not all, data was lost for some bizarre reason. I use a mac at home and a pc a work. I would normally just sync with my up-to-date work computer, but I lost my job and have no access. I do, however, have the current data from the pc on a flash drive. Anybody know how I can put the current data onto my mac and then sync my E2 to the mac? I am running Mac OSX 10.5 I gave up on synching at home over a year ago because it doesn't work very well and caused more headaches than was worth the effort (I thought.) Thanks, and be patient, I'm not too savvy.

Since I've had trouble with the mac synching, I haven't done it for well over a year. However, I have to get this figured out now, as I no longer have access to a PC (lost my job). Could it be that I need to download new, improved mac software updates? Thank you very much for your support.

I received an email stating that my Icloud storage was almost full. 4/5Go. I got a new Iphone today and wanted to get my info back on the new one but it is now empty. How can I get my info back?

Assuming you have made backups of the old device on icloud, then reset the new one and connect it to itunes. It will lead you through the setup and give you a chance to restore from the backup. After, be sure Settings>iCloud is turned on and that the services you want backed up are turned on.
