Palm desktop...where are the applications

I hotsync to my palm desktop and it hotsyncs just fine. The palm desktop opens up to the media section. There are NO tabs for memo, callendar, or anything else besides media and instal. I need to get to some memos so that I can print them off. I need them ASAP!!!

  • Where are the application shortcuts located?

    Hi
All downloads completed and used trial instead of Serial Number but application does not appear?

Hi, Jeff. This didn't work for me. I just installed CS6 and I have no shortcut icons anywhere. I still have my CS5 entries under Start > All Programs (Win 7 Pro 64-bit). I tried the CS5 icon both under All Programs and on my taskbar. Nada. I must be overlooking something....
I'm making my own shortcuts in the meantime (but I'd like to be sure I caught everything). I noticed that under x86 apps I have folders for both CS5 and CS6 with the exception of Adobe Device Central (mine is CS5).
I found them.  They're only viewable via Start > All Programs > Open All Users > Programs
I guess I can simply copy them to Start > All Programs > Open > Programs

  • Upgraded to Lion - where are the Library & Application Support folders ?

Where are the Library & Application Support folders that were available in Leopard 10.5.8 ?

They're in the same location as before, but you need to use a method such as choosing Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu and providing ~/Library/Application Support/ as the path.

  • Where are the actual Aperture files located? Only in the application? I am transitioning to Lightroom and would like to only move some of the files. Advice appreciated. Also anyone know how to transfer in with edits?

Where are the actual Aperture files located? Only in the application? I am transitioning to Lightroom and would like to only move some of the files. Advice appreciated. Also anyone know how to transfer in with edits? Using iMac, OS X, most recent Aperture and Lightroom 5.7 with plugin for Aperture.

    Define "the Aperture files".
    Read this concise guide.
The files you imported into an Aperture Library can be exported (at any time, and repeatedly) using the command "File ▹ Export ▹ Originals".  Your Originals are never altered.  What went in is what comes out.
Adjustments and changes to the metadata that you made since creating an Image in Aperture by importing a file are saved to a text file.  This file is combined, on-the-fly, with the Original to create the Image that you see in Aperture.  There is no file saved to disk that is the full-size Image.  Thumbnails are saved, and Previews are saved.  These are JPG files, almost always smaller than the Original.  They are not substitutes for the Image for the use you have.
When you need a file of an Image to use in another program, you export the Image from Aperture.  "Export" means "Make me a file of this Image according to these file specs I'm providing".  The way to get files of your adjusted Images is simple:  create them by exporting.  Specify "Original size", and use a loss-less image-file format (e.g. TIFF 16-bit) if you want to retain as much visual information as possible.
Search the Web for information about transitioning from Aperture to Lightroom.  Note that I say "transitioning".  You cannot move a database from one format to another without significant changes, and likely some loss of information.  Adobe provides a tool and some instructions.  I strongly recommend working out the process step-by-step, and then proceeding with first a few Images, then a bushel-ful, and stopping to use the first few, the the bushel-ful, before committing your entire collection to the process.
As always, never use any computer file without having a back-up.
We have seen mixed reports here of the success of the LR tool that creates a LR database from your Aperture database.
If you want to carefully define the process, and test and refine it, use the excellent process-development, analysis, and execution program inShort.
Sadly, there is not and can never be a good, thorough re-positioning of the digital assets in your Aperture Library to become digital assets in a LR database.  Just as a metaphor for any user contemplating transitioning to another digital asset manager:  that would be like digging up a house in one country, planting it in a hole in another country, and expecting to be able to use the toilet and the sinks, turn on the lights, cook dinner, and sleep soundly.

    Kirby.

  • Where are the .folio-files on a local desktop?

    Hi,
I've created a publication in InDesign CS5.5 and built this in the folio builder to a complete local folio. Where are the .folio-files, I've composed, on my Mac? If I create an ebook, I'll save the document as an ePub-file and find this in the folder. But if I create an emagazine in InDesign, I guess there is a .folio-file. I can't find it. Could someone help?
    Yours sincerly,
    florian / eskalade werbeagentur

    Hi Florian,
A folio is not something that you would consider as a normal file that you create, transmit to some other place and read it (comparable to an ePub). The folio's are stored within the 'cloud' (on Adobe managed servers). To preview your content, you can look at the folio on devices (iPad, Kindle Fire, android) with the Adobe Content Viewer. To create a 'branded viewer' (application) you can use DPS Single Edition or a subscription to DPS Professional / Enterprise. These services are meant for the distribution of your content.

I have an older Mac Pro (2006). I want to install Boot Camp and Windows. I have installed a boxed Snow Leapord on the machine. And it says the download of the Boot camp drivers cannot continue because they are not available. But at that point I have not inserted a windows disk, so how does it know i have XP?
So it appears I am limited to Windows 7? And where are the Windows 7/Boot Camp Drivers? On the OS disk?
Finally, since I have necer considered Windows 7 before, I assume there are no compatability issues with mainstream applications that were running in XP?
    Thank you.

    You're welcome
Just remember to reformat the partition (bootcamp partition) to NTFS with the windows installer, ensure to pick the correct partition.

  • Where are the .joboptions stored on a Mac for InDesign CC?

Where are the .joboptions stored on a Mac for InDesign CC?
I put them in the usual directory:      /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings   .  .  . but they are not seen by InDesign CC.
. . . Photoshop, Illustrator, Distiller and Acrobat are seeing my custom profiles and any default profiles I removed are not there for those apps.
Even older versions of all these apps and InDesign 6 and 5 see my custom profiles.
But InDesign CC only shows the ones shown in the screen shot below:  (High Quality, the PDF/X versions[3], Press and Smallest size)
I know I can probably do a "Load" profile, but that's not the point and I need to remove the default profiles.
I'm in a multiple user environment and need to lock down the use of profiles to our companies select few.
Did a thorough search of the entire Mac and PDF/X- does not even show up.   Any suggestions?     Anyone?    I'm scratchin'  my head at this point.

      This was the correct answer:
Laubender     Jun 2, 2014 12:18 AM  (in response to Maurice Castelbuono)
@Maurizio – the standard settings, the joboption files with the brackets like [PDF/X-1a:2001] are stored inside the inDesign app for InDesign CC 9.2.1.
The path for these would be:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/mul
or with a Japanese version of InDesign:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/japan
If you do a right-click on the InDesign app you can show them with "Show Package Contents" options.
All other PDF joboptions that you are creating are relative to your current User Library. They are stored in:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings
Where the tilde sign at the beginning indicates the home of the currently used user.
You can access ~/Library, if you press the alt key when accessing the "Go To" menu in the Finder. Otherwise it's invisible.

  • Where are the MetaData Templates located in PS C6 on a Mac?

Where are the MetaData Templates located in PS C6 on a Mac that you can add your contact and copyright information to?
On a Windows machine they are located in Owner/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/XMP.  I have some templates that I want to copy from a Windows laptop over to a Macbook Pro.
    Thanks, Bill

I’m on Mac OS 10.6.8 and there it seems to be
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/XMP/Metadata Templates
I think as of OS 10.7 Macintosh hides the Library, but one can get there by alt-clicking the Go-menu and selecting it from there … or something.

  • Where are the settings to make Acrobat software recognize my scanner?

Where are the settings to make Acrobat software recognize my scanner?  I've had my computer on a road trip.  When I returned to the home office, I can't get Adobe Acrobat 10 Pro software to recognize my scanner, which is a 4-in-one printer.  Acrobat will print to the printer, but I can't get it to recognize the scanner to scan a document.  Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Open the Acrobat application(Acrobat X) and later navigate to Create>PDF from scanner>Configure presets and later select the Scanner which is connected to your computer and check it will work.
If you are getting two options ie WIA and TWAIN please select TWAIN as Acrobat is compatible with TWAIN interface than WIA.

  • (261936172) Q general Where are the Web Service source files?

Q <general> Where are the source files for a Web Service created
with WebLogic Workshop stored? How do I deploy the Web Service
on a different WebLogic Server? Is there a way to bundle the
Web Service project files manually to distribute them?
Is there a way to configure the directory where Workshop stores
    the files?
ANSWER: (by Adam Fitzgerald, [email protected]) The .jws files are stored
in the project folder. This can be located on a local system, although by default
they are in c:\bea\wlserver700b\sample\workshop\applications. The Web Service
structure is understood by WLS 7.0 so by archiving the appropriate folder you
can transfer the Web Service in its entirety from one deployment to another.

  • Where are the audio files located?

You know how when your video source is missing, it shows that ! with a yellow triangle around it? Then, when you hover over the !, it shows you where iMovie expected to find the video, and then you can just move the video there and it's fixed. But for audio, it doesn't show you where it is supposed to be located when you hover over the ! in the audio file (music green bar).
So, where are the music files supposed to be located so that it can find them?
    Thanks!

To the best of my knowledge, iMovie simply links to the music file from wherever it is located in your system. That could be the iTunes Library, your Desktop, an external drive, or other places. So if you move the music to a different location, I assume that iMovie will lose track of it. iMovie doesn't actually import the music to the project - it's just referencing it (as far as I'm aware).
If you know the name of the track (or tracks, or artists), try doing a search both within iTunes and on your hard drive using Spotlight. If found, the best solution is probably to drag it again into your project, then do the necessary edits if applicable.
Note that, in iMovie the music tracks are identified by song name - it's shown at the beginning of the green audio bar. So the songs shouldn't be too difficult to track down. It's just a pain having to re-instate them.

  • Where are the Theme Images

    Hi,
I am using the Watercolour these at the moment, but want to change the colours of the images - is there an easy way to do this?
Where are the image files located?
    Thanks
    Rich

The theme packages are located in the application itself: iWeb/Contents/Resources/Themes folder. You'd have to open that particular package and see if you can modify the colors. I would make a backup copy of your iWeb application just in case.

  • Where are the users startup items physically located?

    Hi all
I messed around with my login items as I had a startup problem (very slow startup). I 've deleted the Microsoft AU Deamon, now I want to reinstall it from a backup - but where is the thing???
Where are the users login items physically located?
    Thanks
    Simon

Where are the users login items physically located?
The physical login item process could be located any where. Your ~/Library/Preferences/loginwindow.plist initiates login applications or processes.
