Palm Pre 2 Not Detecting Wifi AP

I have a Wifi Access Point set up which is detected fine my multiple other devices.  The Palm Pre 2 keeps scanning for Wifi but my AP never appears in the list.
If I try to connect to it manually it does not find it either.
Anyone else finding this problem or is this a bug?
Post relates to: Pre 2 p102ueu (Unlocked EU)

I sold my Sprint Pre a while ago so I cannot use all of those peripherals.  I also do not have a touchstone.  I called the local Verizon and they said bring it down and they will "troubleshoot" it.  I have a feeling they will just replace the battery and wipe their hands clean, which will not solve the problem IMO.
What's weird when I remove the mini-charge connection to the phone it says, "battery charging" for a brief second as I remove the charging chord.  Makes me think the pin connection is not seating correctly.  Could be the charger, the phone or both.
If I turn off the phone and keep it charged at night, turn it on the next morning, full charge.  Plugged in during the day with the phone active, the battery life slowly decreases.  Never happened before with my old pre.
I'm bringing it down tomorrow and keep you posted as to what happens at the store.  Thanks for the suggestions.

If you get that message, then the device was not reset to factory settings.
Go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content & settings.  Then start fresh with your new device.

my iphone 4s is not detecting wifi network and i tried by reseting the network settings....but  it doesn't work...
please suggest me any other option...

Erase all contents and settings does not reinstall iOS.
If whatever the problem is applies to every wi-fi network the iPhone has access to, if no change after restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem.

Switched what off and on, Wi-Fi in Settings, the iPhone, the router? See this support document about troubleshooting Wi-Fi connections. If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support

    Rats.
I hope the replacement card fixes the problem.  Over the years I have had just one bad network card -- and it drove me nuts tracking down that it was, indeed, a failed card.

  • Lenovo M90Z Not Detect WIFI Adapter

    Dear Forum
I have problem with my Lenovo Thinkcentre M90Z.
Recently, the Wifi Card was not detect any wifi signal available in the near site.
I trying to uninstall the driver to solve the problem.
But unfortunatelly, after unisntall the Wifi adapter dissapear from the network adapter list.
I have try re-isntall the driver but no result.
Also try to re-attach the WIFI card to the slot, but it still not recognized by the OS.
    Any solution for this problem?
Here the screen capture of the device manager and the network adapter list :

Have you tried Safe mode with Networking? Check if the adapter is being detected in Safe mode. You can reboot in Safe Mode by pressing the 'F8' key repeatedly as soon as you turn on the computer. If you're using Windows 8, refer to this link for how to start your system in Safe Mode:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode
If the adaptor is being detected in Safe Mode, try updating the drivers and uninstalling any new hardware or software that you might have installed recently. If it still doesn't work, try doing a system restore back to the point when the adaptor was detected.
If the adaptor is still not getting detected even in Safe Mode, it's probably a faulty adaptor, or it might not be connected properly on the mother board. You might have to open the system to check the connections. Keep in mind that opening the system up might void your warranty if the system is still in warranty.

  • Notebook not detecting Wifi or available networks

So usually when I start up my Notebook my computer starts up and automatically connects to my home WIFI. Well yesterday when I turned on my laptop it didn't connect or even show the WIFI signal at the bottom right notification bar. Instead there was this new icon that said I had to connect my laptop to a Ethernet cabel that looks like a phone jack? When I went to my Available Networks setting Wifi wasn't even an option. This laptop has a tendancy of making changes overnight so now this is frustrating cause I can't connect to the internet of use my laptop. Someone please help!

All you got to do is wrap your Notebook in a towel (make sure notebook not exposed) then let it be in there for 5 hours. Once thats complete then your notebook should be able to detect wifi or avalible networksaalvarez391 wrote:

  • Why does my palm pre not covered under the one-year manufacturer warranty?

    Hello Palm,
I bought one Palm Pre last month for my brother in China who is a big fan of Palm devices. However, the second week after he got the phone, the phone got very hot once he switched on and he can't access the internet. He doubted the chip of the phone was defective which causes the heat.
I called Palm Pre customer service in California several times and finally connected to a lady. She said since the phone was used in China and didn't come with a carrier number, they can't repair it and she suggested me upgrading the system. I don't understand why this phone was not covered by the one year manufacture warranty. The lady was not able to give an answer. So I am asking here to expect to have a reasonable one.
I am really frustrated by this phone problem and need a positive feedback.
    Thanks
    Peggy

I think their "refurbished only after 30 days" policy is ridiculous. The phone is less than 2 months old, and now I have to settle for a refurb when there's more than one thing wrong with the phone. It freezes, turns off, and restarts even with light usage. It heats up to the point of turning itself off and not coming back on. the speaker just blew, and with the slider open and shut, it wobbles all over the place. This is a great phone, packed with features, although video and/or sound recording would be nice. It is a true all in one device, and does everything. It's just not well made, and the replacement policy stinks. Next time I want a used ph one, I"ll get one on craigslist. I had LG's for the last 7 years, and had a problem once, about a month before the warranty was up, and they sent me a brand new phone. can't see me sticking with palm in the future, unless they fix all the issues with this phone.
