Palm Pre 2 Unlocked Compatibility With AT&T

Hi,
This information is probably on the site somewhere but I didn't see it.
Is the new unlocked GSM Palm Pre 2 fully compatible with the AT&T network? Can it use AT&T 3G?
Is it also fully compatible with T-Mobile? Can it use T-Mobile's 4G network as well (with the appropriate SIM card)?
Thanks,
Barronius

Hello!
1.  Is the new unlocked GSM Palm Pre 2 fully compatible with the AT&T network? Can it use AT&T 3G?
Answer:  Yes the Palm Pre2 is fully compatible and can use 3G speeds.
2.  Is it also fully compatible with T-Mobile? Can it use T-Mobile's 4G network as well (with the appropriate SIM card)?
Answer:  No.  You will get voice, text, and 2.5G (EDGE) data through T-Mobile on the Pre2 just fine but not 3G.  T-Mobile uses 1700mhz and 2100mhz bands for 3G while all other carriers in North America uses 850mhz and 1900mhz.  The Palm Pre 2 for North America uses 850 and 1900 bands for 3G.

  • Palm Pre 2 Unlocked NA Bug

Hello, I would like to let everyone know that there is a bug with the unlock screen on the palm pre 2. There are a number of people who have this problem and I am one of them. I have ordered two phones already and they have this problem.
The Problem: When Turning the phone on there is a slow "fade effect" when trying to unlock the phone with the lock icon takes multiple tries. The operating system seems to delay significantly on boot up. Below is video proof of what I am explaining.

I can reproduce this too but only if I'm instantly trying to unlock the device the split moment after hitting the power button, same thing on my Sprint Pre.  It works just fine if a give it at least 3/4 a second after hitting the power button.  This isn't a bug but I can log this for improvements opportunities.  Would you be able to send us a log of that device?  Please let me know and I'll PM you the steps.  Dont forget if you need that screen to be on really fast you can pull out the keyboard to bypass the screenlock all together

I too can vouch for this exact behavior. This is a very high end headset that would be very nice to use on my Pre as I once did on my Treo.
If it helps, I'd be willing and happy to send my headset into Palm to assist in the fix. (It's not doing me any good sitting on the shelf anyway.)

  • HS-700 Headset compatibility with Samsung Galaxy S5?

I have an HS-700 bluetooth headset I got when I had my Blackberry Torch (which I loved by the way)  I upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S5 and paired them yesterday.
All voice commands work great EXCEPT "Call".  When I push the voice command button and wait for the prompt then say "Call...and the number"  or "Call and the name"  it always calls the same number.  It says in the directions to push and hold the voice command button for 2 seconds then pause and say "Call and the number or name" .  When I do that it doesn't do anything......
Am I doing something wrong or is it just not compatible with my Samsung?
I have looked all over the internet for an answer or some help and have found none....can someone please help?  I love my headset!
    Thanks so much!

that and the answer command is only when paired to a BlackBerry

  • HSDPA (UMTS) modem compatibility with L430

Hi i would like to buy me a hsdpa modem for my new l430, is there somwhere a compatibility list of which mini pci-e hsdpa modems are supported from the bios or are all the drivers for the usual modems like eg the ericson f3507g?

    Hey ProKSA,
I've been looking around and I can not find anywhere that show that adapter being compatible with a Thinkpad. Now that you have said it could just be software issue and no one has noticed it yet so no fix has been made. Can you specify which Thinkpad doesn't recognize the USB modem and which one the software fails to load. This way we can tackle them one at time. The only Lenovo pre-install that I can think of right now that could affect it would be Access Connections.
Post back if you could please and we can see what we can do to find a solution to your issue.
    Best Regards,
    Hiro

  • Titan Z GPU Compatibility with a D20

I have a D20 4155 with and Xeon X5687 single processor and 12 MB RAM.  I currently have a Quadro 4000 Video Card installed.  I create flow simulations that are extremely math intensive and can take days to complete relying only on the CPU.
I am looking into a new software that utilizes the processing power of the GPU but they do not recommend the Quadro 4000 and therefore they do not support it.   The only ones they will support are Nvidia Tesla K40, Nvidia Tesla K80, GeForce GTX Titan Black and GeForce GTX Titan Z.
The GeForce GTX TITAN Z is in my price range and the one I would like to use.
My main question is will my D20 system handle this work horse of a GPU?
2nd question is can I install it along side of the Quatro 4000 which I use for my dual monitors and just use the Titan Z for the computations.
    Thank you for any help.
    Solved!

    welcome to the forum
with a TDP of 375W, i don't see a reliable way to provide enough power to a titan Z in the D20 while running alongside a Q4000 and an X5687.   you're likely going to exceed one of the power rails with this combo.   on top of that, nvidia doesn't support mixing quadro and geforce cards in the same system so this would be uncharted territory from both a driver conflict and reliability standpoint.
conversely, the K40 has a 235W TDP and should work in the D20 with the caveat that it's not been tested or qualified in the D20.   the other catch here is that nvidia also doesn't officially support mixing quadro and kepler cards, although these have a far greater chance of interoperability than geforce and quadro since driver families aren't being mixed.
my vote would be on the K40, keeping in mind that you might want to consider a kepler-based card as your display card to replace the Q4000.   for this i would suggest a K2000 or K200D since it performs on-level with the Q4000 and frees up a PCIe power drop to use with the K40.
there's no way i'd recommend the titan Z in your system whatsoever.

  • TestStand 4.0 compatibility with TestStand 3.5

    Hi,
I do a lot of coding in TestStand 4.0 at my desktop, but my test station in the lab runs TestStand 3.5, so I have lots of issues with sequence file versions and compatibility between the two locations. Is there a good strategy to help with this? Right now I "Save As..." all my 4.0 files as 3.5 files manually before going down to the station, but it's a bit of a pain. Is there some kind of version switcher tool in TestStand 4.0?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
There is a version switching utility but its to set the active version if you have multiple versions on one system.
The answer to your problem is simple, use one version.
If you have to maintain TS3.5 because of business needs then put both versions on your test system. Then you can use the version switching tool to set it to TS4 while you try you new sequences out. Then you can switch it back to TS3.5 then you are done.

  • Windows 8.1 Compatibility with Printers

So, I have a Surface RT and have a HP Inkjet Printer J6450. Every since I bought this tablet, my printer always said that it was not compatible with this version of windows. I went to hp.com located my printer and selected windows 8.1 from the drop down menu to download and install, whatever it needs to do, but nothing happened.
I have the printer in my devices list because of wi-fi  but it keeps saying not compatible.
    HELP!

Hi tyler_rose, welcome to the HP Forums. You are correct that your J6450 is not compatible with Windows RT. Windows 8.1 is a different operating system.

  • Windows 8 Consumer Preview driver compatibility with HP Slate 2

Having big issues with Multitouch driver support and image rendering on my HP Slate 2, after installing Windows 8 Consumer Preview.
I've installed windows 8 consumer preview on my Elitebook 2740p and it works, like it was meant to run windows 8, great experience but, i tried the get it even better by installing it on my HP Slate 2, and to my disappointment, driver support for the Multitouch interface is giving me a hard time.
From scratch without any drivers, windows 8 was able to support the touch and pen interface, and i could touch and use the pen on the screen, but multitouch was not working, so i decided to install all windows 7 drivers, just like i did on the Elitebook, all drivers where installed correctly except for 2, Display card and Multitouch support.
The display driver is creating ghost images of previews windows and the Multitouch does not work, i can't pinch to zoom anywhere on the screen, or use any multitouch combinations, strange enough, after restoring the original Operating System (Windows 7), the multitouch worked, but then as soon as i upgrade it to windows 8, it stops working.
Is there a driver in the works, beta or anything, i'd really love to be able to use my HP Slate 2, running windows 8 consumer preview, that would make it a great Windows 8 tablet PC, by HP, and it would save my investment on the HP Slate 2.
    Any ideas?

    > Any luck on finding those drivers, or getting the Win 7 ones to work?
I think this thread started before  N-trig  finally came out with new drivers to help support W8...
    http://www.n-trig.com/Content.aspx?Page=Windows8
FWIW  in my case,  TouchSmart tx2,  my problem was not multi touch but Tap.   I had to use my pen to "click".   The new  DuoSense  driver has fixed that problem and allowed me to keep using Multitouch too.

  • BNC 2120 compatibility with Matlab 2011a & SIT

    Hello,
I am trying to read data from the BNC 2120 device into Simulink. I also need to use SIT to communicate the data output from the model with LabVIEW.
I am currently using Matlab 2011a and LabVIEW 2012.
The problem I face is that the hardware is not recognized when I use the data acquisition toolbox.
Please let me know what can be done to fix this problem.
    Thanks
    Bharat

    Hi Bharat,
The BNC 2120 is a connector block so it may not show up in the Data Acquisition Toolbox. What will show up is the DAQmx device you have connected to the block. You can find a list of supported DAQmx devices here, https://www.mathworks.com/products/daq/supported/ni-daqmx.html .
    I hope this helps.

  • TV Compatibility with Directv

How do I know if the TVs I am looking at buying are going to be compatible with my Directv receiver?  I ask this because on one of the reviews, a buyer stated that he wished the tv was compatible with his directv receiver.  Is there a specification I need to look for under each tv description?

Any HDTV is compatible with any DirecTV receiver. The only time you'd ever deal with "compatibility" is when using HDMI output from a DirecTV receiver because the HDMI chipset in the TV might not work with what is in the DirecTV receiver. That's a rare occurance but it's certainly possible.
