Palm pre certificate update

Hi. today the root certificate of my palm pre expired and I can´t download any app from the Palm catalog. I couldn´t update the certificate and people from the HP support don´t know how to update this certificate. I followed all the steps in the HP instructions but nothing happened, so I´d like to know if somebody knows how to update the certificate or if somebody has the same trouble. Is it possible to update the certificate using webosdoctor or webosquickinstall? May be using internalz? Please help me because I can´t access the cloud services. I have webos 1.4.0 compilation 52 carrier Telcel.

Hello Papafrita, Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Have you tried rebooting the phone?  Power it off, pull the battery, wait 30 seconds and reassemble.  Try to install the update again.
Both of my TouchPads and my Pre3 updated fine.  I had very little Preware on them, and one tablet was completely stock.
There is a thread or two about this issue over at webosnation.com.
According to HP, if you continue to have trouble, try setting the date on the phone to July 1, 2013, turn off the Network Time setting, and try again.
Since you are running 1.4.0, you have to open the app catalog, search for the word "update", find the update, tap the "Free" button, then the "Launch" button when it finishes downloading. Now change the time to current.

  • Palm pre Missing component

    Hello,
I have a issue with weak signal. I probably found root cause of this problem. Near the signal cabels are three components one of them is broken and missing (picture).
I need information about this component for replacing.
    Thank you.

I just noticed that my Palm Pre was updating to 1.3.5.1 and in fact says as much after the upgrade when I looked on the device Info page. This means the previous upgrade attempt did not go through as I had previously suspected. It would lead me to suspect that my icon difficulties were a result of the 1.3.5.1 upgrade failing somehow and rolling back to 1.3.5. Does this mean there is a "rollback" bug if an OS upgrade fails?
Everything appears to be working normally now.

  • Hotmail "Next Update in 0 Minutes" Error with Sprint Palm Pre

I've been having this problem only with my Hotmail account on my Sprint Palm Pre. For a time my Pre will sync just fine with Hotmail and I will receive my emails. Then it starts not to sync at all. It has an error message that says "Next update in 0 minutes."  I've restarted my phone and I've deleted and readded my Hotmail account, I've updated my PRL a gazillion times (it used to work, but not today!! , but the problem still happens.
This doesn't happen with my gmail account, but Hotmail's been my primary for a loooong time. If there's anything you know about why this is happening I'll keep my Hotmail account. But if this keeps going on I'll have to delete my account and switch to gmail.
Please advise as soon as possible. I know I'm not the only Pre/Hotmail user with this problem.  Thanks!

Hi, I'm having the EXACT same problem! Did you ever get it fixed? If so, how? Thanks!! Ronda

  • WPA Enterprise on Palm Pre

We have found that the Palm Pre will not connect to our WPA Enterprise wireless system, because our network needs clients to eliminate the "validate server certificate" process.  For example, our standard laptops use the SecureW2 client and the "validate server certificate" needs to be disabled in the client software.  If this option is enabled, the SecureW2 client won't connect either (just like the Palm Pre won't).
How can this be done on a Palm Pre?
    Thanks.
PS-- the Palm Pre connects perfectly to WPA personal networks

Here are the settings for the network for a Nokia N82. Maybe, this will help shed some light on the issue. FYI - I could not make these settings work for my Nokia N8 as well. The IT help desk says they are unable to solve the issue.

The connection dialog is supposed to show only actual user certificates to choose from, but it is a known bug in the current N9 FW that if you install something that is not a CA certificate it is taken for a user certificate by default and shown as an option in the connection dialog. The bug will be fixed in the next FW update I believe.
I have only installed one CA certificate (the one which can be found at the link I provided above). It does not ask for any password when I install it.  When I go to Certificate Manager and try to change the password it informs that there is no password for the certificate.

On the other hand, if the connection does require a user certificate you should have received one from the network's administrator in a PKCS#12 package with a password. You need the password when installing the package and later when using the private key related to the user certificate. But it sounds like this is not the case, so just select "None".
    Hope this helps.

So I did choose "None" as certificate. EAP Type - PEAP and EAP MSCHAPv2 as the EAP method. I could not connect to the network using these settings.  The certificate was installed at this point. If I try connecting using the certifcate it asks me for the password. So, right now, it is a problem connecting to the network. Would appreciate any help in this regard.

  • SSL Cert Setup on the Palm Pre

I am having issues setting up my companies email on the Palm Pre.  We use an SSL cert and for some reason I get Certificate Error. Is the time and date wrong.  I looked at many blogs with other people having this issue and they say a root cert needs to be put on the phone.  The only way it says to do this is to install the Microsoft Certificate Authority and then generate the cert that way.
Well, the issues that I am having is I have been generating my cert using the new-exchangecertificate -domainnames mydomain.domain.com, and I do multiples dns names.  This cert works fine on all my computers and all other cell phones.  When I put it on the pre I get the error above.  I read that this is an IIS root cert and the palm does not allow this.  I then installed the Certificate Authority and generated a cert and the pre worked fine, the only issue is the cert broke the rest of my external users connections.  I need the cert to have dns resolution addresses in it.  I found out how to get the Certificate Authority to have san:dns= domain.domain.com names.  But when I generate this cert and put it as my primary cert it then brakes the palm and my other systems.
How can I get the Certificate Authority to give me a cert with all the DNS names I need and work on the palm and all my other systems.
Any help is great and thanks in advance.

  • Palm Pre Plus (Verizon) won't connect to Exchange Server

I have been on the phone for 3 days (purchased the Pre from Verizon the day it came out) and have been unable to connect to my companys email server. I have had a Palm Treo 755 for yrs, and have always gotten my email to that. After days of speaking with Palm reps, I am being told that NO Verizon Pre is able to connect to a corp exchange server at this time. I am quite upset by this, since after listening to a Palm Reps advice, I had an IT person make sure our server was up to date, we had the correct certificates, etc. This of course took hours to complete, and the IT person's time is not cheap. So afte spending all that time and money dealing with this, I was told today by a supervisor at Palm that NOBODY on Verizons network is able to connect to their corp email server, and that it was an issue that is being looked into.
I searched the forums, and found lots of issues of this with Sprint service, but didn't find any with Verizon. Anybody else out there on Verizon and unable to connect? Or maybe the better question is, Does anybody out there have a Pre Plus with Verizon and IS able to connect to their Exchange (EAS) server?

Correction to my last message. After doing a reset on my phone, and updating our server, I was able to connect to my email. Thank you for your comments to update to SP2. Overall, I am still very upset about the over the phone support Palm provided. Like I mentioned before, I brought up the SP1 vs SP2 option multiple times over the phone, and I was told each time that was not the issue. Even my IT guy fought me, a little, on doing that update since he had heard the same information as I did from the Palm reps on the phone. After creating an account on here, and PDAguy pointing me to the long thread about people with a similar problem, I showed this to our IT guy and he happily updated our server to SP2.
I am happy to get this issue resolved, but still feel Palm mislead me along the way, probably costing me over $400 in IT support,  my wasted time, and traveling to a Verizon store to exchange a perfectly good phone and having me trying different options that did not need to be done. I made 3 different calls to Palm (along with my IT guy who was paid by the hour) and each call lasted about 1 to 1-1/2 hrs. Most of the time being on hold while the rep "research" my question.  Even had a rep over the phone lie to me, and tell me he was able to connect to our server (using my info) with a Pre that he had with him. He then told me I had a faulty phone, and I was directed to go back to Verizon to switch the phone out. After I had switched the phone out, and it of course still did not work, I was then told by another Palm rep, and his supervisor that this was a know issue and that NOBODY with Verizon was able to connect to an Exchange server (with a Pre) due to a software issue on the phone. I had a rebate from Verizon to get this phone for $149, but with all my wasted time, the cost of my IT guy, and the lack of knowledge by the Palm reps, I think I probably own the most expensive Palm Pre Plus out there.

  • Palm Pre crazy symptoms: "phone offline", will not charge battery, will not start, error message "an error has occured that cannot be resolved"

This is a long description of a series of problems with my new Palm Pre. You may wish to search the text to find your specific issue(s). There is no solution in my post. Look for possible answers in the responses to come.
I bought my Palm Pre 4 days ago and it arrived 2 days ago. Phone worked great. Last night I plugged in the phone and updated the OS. After completion, I selected "Done" and went to bed.
    - First Series of Issues: "Phone Offline", will not charge battery -
In upper lefthand corner of the phone there is the message "phone offline". Although the phone has been charging all night it reads "26% battery". I called the general Sprint tech support number and we tried the following things:
    1) Restart phone (press and hold power button, then select "turn off". after power down, press and hold power button to power on.)
    2) Reset the phone (several different ways - call tech support so that you do this correctly)
The individual at Sprint then sent me to another tech support person, presumably 2nd tier.
    - Second Series of Issues: Error message "an error has occured that cannot be resolved" -
Sprint tech support person #2 also had me restart and reset the phone in a number of ways. In her words "we've tried every palm pre trick I know" and each time the phone was unresponsive. Often we received the error message "phone is offline". We did a full erase and after that the phone would no longer restart. At this point the error message came up saying "an error has occured that cannot be resolved" which referred me to www.palm.com for assistance. I think it's important to note here that this was not the typical error message (black screen with white letters) but rather the blue sky background with a semitransparent box over it with white text.
Sprint tech support person #2 then connected me with Palm support and the dance continued. Again we tried a whole bunch of resetting and restarting and erasing options. Palm support instructed me to go to: www.palm.com/rom to download WebOS Doctor, which I did. I downloaded the file. While that was happening he had me hold the "volume up" button and plug the phone into the charger. This caused a USB symbol to appear on the phone. When the file was complete I received an error message that the file couldn't run. Palm tech support person seemed surprised. I mentioned that I was on a Mac and he said he couldn't help me. He then transferred me to another Palm support person who works with Mac users.
Palms tech support person #2 then informed me that I should have selected the "mac" download option on www.palm.com/rom. I verbally walked her through the whole series of webpages, telling her that it says that you need Windows (version whatever) or Mac (version whatever) but that at no time was there an option to download a different WebOS Doctor for different operating systems. After some more discussion she told me she would have to have someone call me back tomorrow.
    - Third Series of Issues: phone stuck on USB symbol -
So at the moment the phone is completely useless. Not fantastic. I booted up the mac in Windows 7 and downloaded WebOS Doc and received the same error. I also ran Windows Vista virtually and received the same error. Later this afternoon I'm heading into work to try the same thing on Windows XP.
In the meantime, I got onto this forum and located a thread that provided a direct link to the necessary file:
    palm.cdnetworks.net/staging/rom/webosdoctorp100ewwsprint.jar
After downloading that file, which I realized could totally be a virus, I was able to get WebOS Doc working on my computer. It required that I recharge the phone completely before beginning and now it's on the screen that says "Don't disconnect your phone" and the file is at 3% complete. Only... it's been at 3% complete for almost 30 minutes.
I am hoping that Palm will follow up with me tomorrow, but I'm leaving at 7am on a business trip and would love to have the thing working. Any suggestions are welcome, even if you can just tell me how to get the think disconnected safely before my flight tomorrow. I don't fancy getting through security with my phone wired to my laptop.
    Thanks.

    Hello and welcome to the forums;
Our phone support is open every day Monday through Sunday, although there are different hours of operation for the weekend. If after a webOS Doctor reset you are still experiencing the same problems, I would likely recommend replacement, either in a local store for your carrier or through our technical support department.
There may be additional technical support offered or suggested over the phone, this would need to be done first before a replacement could be issued.
    Hope this helps,

  • Palm Pre no longer syncing with Google Calendar

I've had my Pre for 4-5 weeks, and when I first got it, I configured the calendar to sync with my Google calendar.  Everything worked fine.  At some point, it stopped syncing.  If I add something to the calendar through Google, I don't see it on my Pre and if I add an event on the Pre, it never shows up on Google.  Obviously I tried the sync now option to no avail.  I'm not sure if this happened around the V1.1.0 update or not.  Is anyone else having issues syncing with Google Calendar?
    Thx,
    Brett

    Hello Bartman,
You may want to try removing and re-adding the gmail account to the Pre.  If this doesn't work, try creating a test gmail account and add it to the Pre.  This will tell you if it is your email account or the Palm Pre.
    Let us know what happens....
    Thanks,

  • Various error messages when trying to sync my Palm Pre with my OWA

I have read several of the postings and I believe I have tried everything. The odd thing is that it worked prior to me being married. When I brought the phone I just entered my work email address and password and it worked instantly. Then at the end of June I got married and changed my name. When I change my name with my company they gave me a new email address. And a alert popped up on my phone stating that I needed to change my info. So I put in my new email and the same password and it states that it can't validate the account information. So I tap to set it up manually. I put in my new username, the domain, the OWA web address, and the same password. And then I get the SSL Certificate Error: check the date and time. After discussing with our IT guys, I try all the various emails I have in the system (4 total: 2 due to a change in the company name last year and two due to my name change). I get the same SSL Certificate Error. Then I download the certificate from my computer to my palm pre and took the "s" off of the https:// as one of the posting suggested. and now I am getting "unable to validate account settings. Please check the settings and try again" message. I tried all the different email addresses again just in case it was an issue of my email address not matching the domain name, but I still get the same "unable to validate" message. I'm at a lost because it really shouldn't be an issue of the cert, because it worked perfectly fine before I got married and change my name. So I can only assume that it's an issue with my email address, domain, and username. But I've tried all of them and nothing works. And suggestions would be helpful.

I seemed to have figured it out...... I hard reset my Iphone and rebooted my computer and it seemed to work. It also seemed there was a music file that was not being recognized, I just erased it and everything worked fine after that.... very strange but I am so glad I figured it out.....

  • THE ULTIMATE PALM PRE POOR SIGNAL ISSUE THREAD

The previous thread I posted can be deleted.  This thread has everything people need to read.  Here is the conversation I just had with Palm about the rampant signal problems everyone is having with their Palm Pre phones (side note, they say they'll be calling me back in a few days.  I'll assume they mean BUSINESS days and i'll post here again tuesday or wednesday if I don't hear from anyone.) :
    1:56 AM Connecting...
1:56 AM Connected. A support representative will be with you shortly.
1:57 AM Support session established with Sabino.
1:57 AM Sabino: Hello David. Thank you for contacting Palm. My name is Sabino.
    1:57 AM David Doria: hi
1:58 AM Sabino: I understand that you are facing issues with weak signals.
1:58 AM Sabino: Am I correct?
1:58 AM David Doria: yes.  weak, and also erractic.  sometimes i will get full bars, and then it will jump to one bar, or none...then be roaming, then Ev, then 1x...all in the SAME spot
1:58 AM Sabino: I’m sorry for any trouble this may have caused.
1:58 AM Sabino: May I know since how long you are facing this issue?
1:59 AM David Doria: as long as i've been using a palm pre, but it is getting worse with time.  i've been using a palm pre since october of last year
2:00 AM Sabino:  Let me know the webOS version on the device and your carrier name.
2:01 AM David Doria: whatever the latest OS is.  1.4.whatever.  and i'm with sprint
2:01 AM Sabino: This seems to be the issue with the network, all the network related issues were taken care by your carrier. I suggest you to contact Sprint. They will be able to fix the issue.
2:01 AM David Doria: um, you said that before i even told you what carrier i'm using
2:01 AM Sabino: I just pulled the details using your phone number.
2:02 AM David Doria: you know that isn't true.  you know it's not sprint
2:02 AM David Doria: i just told you all my other phones with sprint worked fine here and i've only been having problems since i got a palm pre
2:02 AM Sabino: Okay, contact your carrier, they will be able to fix the issue.
2:02 AM David Doria: i've lived here for 4 years and i've had sprint all 4 years
2:02 AM David Doria: no they won't.  i've been contacting them for weeks.  they came out and checked the tower TWICE now.  there's nothing they can do.  it's a hardware issue for palm
2:04 AM David Doria: there are threads all over the internet with hundreds of people complaining about having signal issues ONLY since they bought a palm pre.  now you're telling me it's a sprint issue and you haven't even looked at my phone yet.
2:05 AM Sabino:  What I would like to do, is place your case into a special team that develops technical solutions. They will do further research on it. They would be in touch with you once they have further updates. I cannot commit to a specific callback period, but please know that we are working on your case. May I do that for you?
2:06 AM David Doria: no, because i saw someone in one thread say that palm told them the exact same thing...in 2009
2:06 AM David Doria: so you're basically saying you're forwarding the problem to a generic department to a generic person that i can't know the name of, with no contact info, and that there is no guarantee when they will contact me IF they even will contact me...but i should definitely believe they are working on the problem
2:06 AM Sabino: What exactly you want me to do now?
2:06 AM David Doria: that's ridiculous
2:07 AM David Doria: i want you to tell me why palm is not fixing this problem with the palm pre and is instead telling me it is sprint's problem and then pretending to forward the issue to another department which has already had years to fix the issue
2:08 AM Sabino: As I stated, all the network related issues are taken by carrier.
2:09 AM David Doria: it's a hardware issue
2:10 AM Sabino:  I am going to tell you about our 2 repair options:
    2:10 AM Sabino:
    1.  Repair return: After I create your service repair order, you receive an email with the details on how and where to ship your device for repair. The email also contains info on the follow-up process. After the repair center receives your device, you’ll receive a working device in another 5-7 business days.
    2. :”With the advance exchange option, we ship you a replacement device first, and then you return your defective device to us using a prepaid label. There is a $29.95 fee for this special service but you get a replacement device within 3-5 days.
2:10 AM David Doria: you can't even KNOW it's a network issue without looking at the phone, and all evidence points to hardware since other phones on the same carrier work fine
2:10 AM Sabino: Please go through the above 2 options.
2:10 AM David Doria: this is my SEVENTH palm pre phone, sabino
2:11 AM David Doria: as many others in forums will tell you, they have also replaced their phones MULTIPLE times hoping to fix this issue.  nothing works.  there is SOMETHING physically wrong with the reception capability of the palm pre
2:12 AM David Doria: dude, stop copying and pasting what palm tells you to say and listen to me.  these phones do NOT work.  there is something majorly wrong with them and palm is cheating people out of hundreds of dollars a piece to save themselves the cost of a fix.
2:13 AM Sabino: Please hold on while I transfer the chat to our Supervisor.
2:13 AM David Doria: thank you
    2:13 AM Sabino: You’re welcome.

    2:16 AM Saben: Okay.

2:17 AM David Doria: yes.  i reset my phone...tried NEW phones...updated...updated PRL...etc...tried 2G only, restarting the phone after removing the battery, tried going outside...tried going a few blocks down.
2:17 AM David Doria: i can't even count how many things i have tried.  something is wrong with the palm pre
2:18 AM Saben: Did you try with the webOS doctor?
2:18 AM David Doria: i've tried every software solution i can find
2:19 AM Saben: I am sorry, I just want to know did you run the webOS doctor tool?
2:19 AM David Doria: i've been talking to sprint about this for WEEKS now.  in case you didn't read the conversation, they've already come out to check the local tower twice now
2:20 AM Saben: Okay. It seems that you did not use the webOS doctor tool on the device to check the issue.
2:20 AM David Doria: yes.  the local sprint repair center used the tool when my phone froze during an update
2:20 AM David Doria: yes i did
2:20 AM Saben: Okay. Thank you for the information.
2:20 AM David Doria: you're welcome
2:20 AM Saben: Then it seems need a repair.
2:20 AM David Doria: but this is my 7th palm pre phone.
2:20 AM David Doria: they have all done this

2:22 AM David Doria: are you guaranteeing me that they will call?

Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)

So they finally called me back, but I didn't get the call because.....I had no signal.  HAHA
I got their voicemail and called back.  First, they tried telling me YET AGAIN that it was Sprint's problem.  They said that if I call Sprint, they will give me a device to boost signal in my home.  I said, "That's fine, but what do I do when I'm in the rest of the country?"  Then they told me it was a software problem and that I need to run WebOSdoctor to reinstall the operating system.  I told them that this is my 7th Palm Pre.  I told them that Sprint already used the Doctor...like I told the online tech people.  But this guy on the phone wasn't having it.  He told me that he didn't think Sprint was able to do that (so I can, but Sprint can't =/?) and that I should do it just to be sure.  He said if that doesn't work that they will try out a NEW Palm profile and see if that fixes it.  If neither of those works, he basically admitted there are no other options.
I asked him if there is some sort of way they can physically upgrade the antenna system with a better material or placement and he said that Palm has no department able to do that.
I told him about the various threads online like this one, where dozens of people complain about the same  issue.  He told me to just do the WebOSdoctor and call him back.   I asked him if this has fixed signal problems for people previously and he said that he doesn't get to know the end result of his suggestions to customers.   How unprofessional is that?  How is the guy supposed to get better at his job if he's not allowed to find out if the fixes he suggest to people actually work?  That seems nuts to me, but i digress.
I haven't tried the Doctor yet.  I'm going to, but I'm just being lazy because I know it won't work, and it's going to be really annoying to update my phone and backup photos first and all that good stuff.
I will post back after I run the doctor and try the new Palm profile.  Until then, I'd REALLY suggest you all do what I did and call Palm, insisting they fix the problem, even if it means a recall.  They aren't gonna do it just for me, no matter how many times I complain.  That's a fact.
If anyone DOES call Palm, it would probably be a good idea to bring up this thread and also to post here about what they tell you!

  • Palm Pre USB - host and client?

I see a lot of posts about using USB Mode to transfer files between a PC and the Palm Pre, but is it possible to connect a USB hard drive or flash drive directly to the Pre to do file transfers to/from the phone?  The Palm website says that the Pre has "USB mass storage support", which could suggest that it could act as a host, as well as a client for USB data transfers.  I have used the Treo 650, and was eagerly awaiting an updated PalmOS phone that would add WiFi, GPS, A2DP Bluetooth capabilities, and EVDO Rev.A speeds, all of which the Pre offers, but no expandable memory via an SD (or MicroSD) slot!  I would love to go back to a PalmOS, and get away from Windows (I switched to the 800w just before the Pre was launched, to get these features), but it looks like I might just end up going to Android (where Sprint's HTC Hero and Samsung Moment have SD card slots)...

No the device is only the client. The statement "USB mass storage support" is meant to be that the device is used as a storage device only.
While your not the first to request the Pre have this function I do suggest that you leave feedback here: www.palm.com/feedback
If you have more questions please post back.

  • SMS doesn't work with T-Mobile CZ and Palm Pre

    Hi, there is my problem:
I bought Palm Pre from Germany. Everything works fine, but there is problem with sending messages. I tried to ask in Czech forums, PreCentral or my Carrier and no answer solved this problem. So I'm asking the core of the problem, Palm Developers.
There are some guides to get or change some carrier settings, but without any documentations. I see in \usr\lib\luna\CarrierNetworkSettings.db3 and /var/luna/data/CarrierNetworkSettings.db3 for my carrier this row:
And IMHO the highlighted box should be in column smscNumber. I tried this to change, but nothing get worked.
I tried this phone with my friends SIM cards by Vodafone CZ and O2 CZ and everything worked alright. The problem is only wit combination with T-Mobile.
I also downloaded new ROM from palm.com/ROM and there are same values.
And to my carrier: There is not much info about setting up phones settings, but the highlighted number should be ok.
And of course the error message. There are screen shots:
So guys, what do you think about it? Where is the problem? How to solve it? Can someone help? Is there any other DB from where phone reads settings?
    This question was solved.

Hello and thank you for using the Palm Help Forums!
Currently, we do not have T-Mobile listed as a compatible carrier for our webOS devices. I will still provide tips in resolving this issue but I just wanted to make you aware of this.
-Make sure the device is on the latest update. You may retrieve this data under the "Device Info" application. The most current update is webOS1.4.1.1.
-Make sure you have network connection.
-If the message extends past 70 characters you may have this issue. Also, if it includes misc. characters as well.
    -Try restarting the device.
If the problem persists, we recommend contacting the wireless service provider for further assistance.
I'm sorry if this isn't much help but I hope you find resolution.
    -Patkosanke

  • Blocking Calls on Spring using Palm Pre

Somehow, someone programmed my number into MovieFone so it calls me multiple every day and I have no way to stop it.  I have not found any way to contact MovieFone and Sprint says there is no way to block the calls from coming everyday.
Does anyone know of a way to block calls on Sprint or know if s way to block a call from a Palm Pre.  I know I can change the ring, but how can I change the ring so it does nothing instead of ringing?
I do have to say that I was amazed that Sprint did not have the capabilities to block calls.  I have never had the need to use this, but I thought it was common.
Thanks to anyone who can help me,
    Craig

Same issue, Sprint says there is no way they can block calls the only option they provided was changing phone numbers.
If Palm won't include a Call Filtering program with WebOS, then why not allow third party developers to do it for you? Windows Mobile, Blackberry, and Android all have 3rd party call block applications that will block certain numbers or private/unknown callers.
A WM developer stated that because Palm hasn't opened the telephony programming interface to developers, they are unable to create a call block program. A simple google for WebOS call block and you'll see how much of a wanted feature this is.
I hope Palm will re-consider adding some type of call filter to WebOS in an OTA update, or open up the programming so a 3rd party can do it instead.

  • 1.4 slow down the palm pre?

I have seen a lot of slow down with my palm pre after the 1.4 update. The phone feels heavy, feels like its run slower, not as responsive as before, battery life is not logger it is sorter also all loading that the apps do now. Has this happen to you have you seen/feel like its slower?
I also have tried to reset it but it still feel the same. Palm may have made some errors with this update.

My battery life really stabilized and increased enough to get me through a work day after the last update. All my apps were running great and I was happy. I really, really wish I could undo 1.4!
Everything is slower to open, slow to respond to touch/swipes. Mine locked up while opening an app and rebooted itself last night. Later last night, I check my alarm settings for the morning (4 in total) before going to bed. They disappeared during the middle of the night! Luckily, I woke myself up in time for work.
I'd love it if they'd push some patches through soon, or allow you to roll back. I'd love to have the video and flash, but not at the cost of all these other glitches.

Since updating to webOS 1.3.5, the connect and disconnect problems have mostly gone away!  Thank you Palm!
One minor complaint still with Bluetooth (if you are listening Palm):  The Nissan OEM kit supports up to 4 phones.  I paired my wife and kid's phones to the car, including my Pre.  When any other family member is in the car with me with their phone (non-Pre), my Pre will not connect to the car.  Their phones connect just fine even though my phone has been paired to the car to be the "primary" phone.  Only when I am by myself in the car will the Pre Bluetooth connect/disconnect work flawlessly.   Thanks again for getting us this far!

We are trying to collect data for all customers that are having issues related to pairing their Palm Pre to car kits, however this data is spread among tons of threads and many different boards. To resolve this we would like to consolidate this list down to one board and tell you up front what information we need.
If you are having issues around using Bluetooth with your Car Kit please post the information in this thread.
