Palm Pre - Delete music - PLEASE HELP!!!

Ok, so the instructions on deleting music from the Pre is to connect it to a computer using the USB mode and just deleting whatever you want. However, when I do this, there are ABSOLUTELY NO MUSIC FILES listed in the Palm Pre window. I have a Mac. Please tell me how to fix this problem!

There should be a folder named ipod or itunes, I can't remember which, Itunes places them into this folder. It is best to connect back to itunes and delete them that way but with the newest version the Pre is not reconized, So you could go into thet folder and delete them that way, Itunes tags them funny so it may be best to delete everything in that folder and create a new folder in the main screen when you are in usb mode, Name it "Music" drag and drop your songs into it and the music player will find them.

Hi,
I accidentally deleted my music from my iPhone, thinking it was my iTunes library. Is there any was I can retrieve the music? It's taken me so long to collate the music and perfect my playlists, so I'm panicking right now. Any advice would be extremely appreciated.

Each time I connect my iPhone to iTunes, the data is apparently backed up. For example, the last time my iPhone was backed up was a few hours ago, just before I stupidly deleted all of my music. Does this mean that I can retrieve the music via restore, or is it gone for good? Appreciate your help btw.

After having experienced similar problems and having it back to work, I have a few suggestions:
- Try to find out if the syncing stops at a particular track or song. That might - out of the blue - have gotten corrupted in one way or another. Since that song will not be on the iPod, iTunes will try over and over to put it on and crash in one way or another;
- reformat the iPod as described in the iTunes 9 crash-thread. It takes time (at first it seems to do nothing, but that is because the green bar is moving with very small steps);

The pictures that are on your phone, that you don't want, did they appear there after syncing with iTunes? Or were they taken with the iphone's camera?
Pictures synced from iTunes have to be removed by syncing again, but not having those pictures checked under the Photos tab in iTunes.

In theory, an IMAP server should never present different views of the same inbox to different IMAP clients. (I assume you did verify that the laptop and the older iPad were accessing the server using IMAP; some servers offer both IMAP and POP.) The clients could react differently, but I am not aware of any settings that would cause what you are seeing.
I know this sounds like a cliche, but have you tried power-cycling or resetting the iPad Mini?

Quit Safari.
Hold the shift key down and relaunch Safari.
Empty Caches
Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.

Deleted itunes - please help!

My daughter accidently deleted all her songs from the library, they ended up in the comp recycle bin. We restored them from the recycle bin but they have dissapeared completely. How can we get them back into her library? Please please help.

When you restored from the recycle bin, the folder was put back into it's old spot on the hard drive. It might be in your iTunes folder--check there first. Do you have Windows XP? Go to Start > My Computer > "C" hard drive > Documents & Settings > Folder With Your Name Next to It > My Documents > My Music > iTunes > iTunes Music. Look inside this folder to make sure your songs are there. If they are, then you can import this folder into your iTunes Library. To do this, open iTunes, Go up to the top line and choose "File" > "Add Folder to Library". When the dialogue box opens, browse to the iTunes music folder.
If your songs aren't in the iTunes folder, then you'll have to search for them on your hard drive. Go to Start > Search and type in the name of a song file and search for it. When it's found, write down the file path. Then find this folder and see if all your music is there. Add it back into the library.

Can't sync music please help me I'm dumb

why won't my music sync with my blackberry? I had previously had it working and whenever I would get new music I would just connect and re-sync but now it's saying there is no space. I deleted some of the music on my blackberry in order to make more room and deleted more than 50% of my music and it still says the same thing. I then uninstalled the blackberry desktop program and reinstalled it hoping it would solve the problem and it almosd did except then it began to start the process and then say there is an error and it is shutting down. I am stuck. Please help me!

Lost photo's & music PLEASE HELP

Long story but when I was playing music on itunes last week my Powerbook G4 froze. When I went to have a look I could not do anything. When the computer rebooted it would not accept my password and I was locked out.
After 2 hours on the phone to nick a lovely tech from apple, we have rebooted but I am not able to retreive information on our previous user name. I have lost 4.5 days of music and 850 photo's!!!! Devastation!!! He suggested I post to see if anyone had any ideas. When I go into my old user and try and open a file it says "no mountable file systems".
If anyone knows how I can try and retreive info please, please help me. Thanks

If Disk Utility gave a "no repairs needed" report, it almost clears the drives directory. I say almost, because often DiskWarrior finds problems that Disk Utility doesn't.
Worth a try, and in the link I placed under Disk Utility (above), is using fsck to check the disk.
Can you tell me what the file types were? I assume .jpg, .jpeg, .tiff and .mpeg4, .mp4, or .mp3....
Reason being, the error is often associated with .dmg (disk image) errors.
Also, because of the nature of the error message, there may be a way to mount the files using hdiutil. You can try and mount these files, in Terminal, from the command line using hdiutil, run as root:
$ sudo hdituil attach file name.dmg
Replace "file name.dmg" with the name of the file. This should properly mount the files, though I am having trouble getting it to work..........
Since I am still green when it comes to using Terminal (love to play, cause lots of problems, and learn as I go), if you would like to pursue this path, I would suggest checking this suggestion in the OS X Technologies: Unix forums. Post a question regarding mounting files that return the error "no mountable file systems", and see if someone will walk you through the process a bit better than I can.

Synicing apps and music please help mee!

hello all,
this all started a few months back i cant rember how many but i found out i could shop on my ipod for apps and music etc.. anyway i hardly ever used the pc for anything even charging cause i have a wall charger in my room so i kinda have gotten used to not shopping on the itunes store on the pc. well a few days ago i decided i better stop being lazy so i pluged in my ipod touch to shop on itunes and well i asked a question and it got anwsered so i transfered my apps and music stuff into the pc so i can shop well when i got to the apps part of my itunes menu on my ipod info it has apps and stuff underneath it faded? so theres this little tick box thing beside it so i click on it and this is what it came up with (i copied it all out everything you see is what it actually said)
"are you sure you want to sync apps? all existing apps and their data on the ipod "mins ipod" will be replaced with the apps from this itunes library"
i dont want to click on it before i ask people so my question is does anyone know what i should do?

Syncing to a new computer or iTunes will erase the content of your device and replace it with the content of that iTunes.
To make sure that your settings, data and apps are transferred to your computer, back up manually and restore from that backup afterwards. Here's how to do.
Make sure your new computer is authorized in iTunes with the same account. Disable autosync in itunes, connect your ipod, right click on it in the device list and choose backup.
This will save data, pictures and settings to itunes. See what's included in this backup here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
Transfer your purchases the same way to copy all apps and bought media from the Store to your computer.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer to be able the merge your calendars and contacts after your ipod got wiped during the first sync.
The rest of the data can be restored from the backup you made.

Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.
