Palm T\X Calendar Info Loss

I clicked on my Palm Desktop and went to my Calendar. I noticed that there was not any information on any of the calendar date (except for "repeat" things like yearly birthday's). I, also, had a message on my computer that said a new software update had occurred so my computer had restarted itself. Anyway, when I checked my addresses, memo's and notes....those were all still there. It was only my daily calendar that had nothing on it. So, I figured if I did a Hotsync with my Palm, it would re-transfer all of my data. But, after the Hotsync, the message said not all data could be transfered from the desktop to the Palm...yet...it erased ALL of my calendar data that I had on my Palm.
Is there anyway to get my Calendar information back? It's gone from my computer and Palm. Is there any type of Data Recovery from my last Hotsync a few days ago?
Please help!

I just had the same problem except that calendar data from 1-1-07 til now was intact on my Treo 650.  Two previous years seemed to have vanashed.  I found partial old data on an old computer, ran an Hot Sync and immediately lost the old calendar data on the old computer.  I talked to a rep from my phone company and found that apparently Palm dumps data by design and that it goes into Archive files on the computer.  I went into the Palm Desktop on my computer, clicked File, then clicked Open Archive, and what do you know?--my calendar data was there for the last two years.  The rep from Alltel phones recommended backing this into Access or something and save to an thumb drive or something external.  I do not yet know how to do that, but I did find my stuff.  I hope that this works for you too.  Other areas (addressess, etc. also appear to have archive files, but I have not yet lost anything there.  Good luck.

  • Can't get Palm Desktop app to react after syncing with Yahoo mail calendar info

Attempted to move calendar from Yahoo mail page to Palm Desktop in my Macbook--
Yahoo page says "don't use Intellisync" --thre is a new program called Autosync--but it turns out it doesn't work for Macs --clearly, many instructions on Yahoo paged do not apply to Macs--
find this is a common problem on many sites--assumption that all are PC folks.
Imagine how things will go if Microsoft actually buys Yahoo!
Anyway--Created Calendar as a CV file and imported to Palm Desktop--
now cannot get program to run correctly--it appears all of the calendar info was imported to calendar day on which I imported it--so there is a huge amount of info being processed whenever I attempt to interact with the app.--the dreaded beachball appears and spins endlessly--
Have re-installed Palm app. (4.2.1) but problem seems to be imbedded, and re-occurs.
Is there any solution except to dump the entire app. from my hard drive, lose my archive et. al.
and re-synch from my Tungsten E2???

Did away with it in 10.8. Sync via application Notes now.

  • LOST Calendar info, running Version 4.1.4 Software Desktop Software

I lost ALL my calendar info on my Palm software, with the exception of "repeat" events that were logged prior to 2009 (all other repeats enterend this year gone).  Is there ANYTHING I can do retrieve this info?  Unfortunately my handheld has not been working since the begining of the year, so cannot sync.

Since you don't sync regularly, there may only be the backup file you had created during the last sync., that you can restore.
    Here are the instructions;
You can recover the data from your user folder provided you have only sync'ed once with the PC when you discovered the data missing. When you sync to the PC there are files created for each PIM category in your user folder. For Example; datebook.dat or datebook (Depending on the version of Palm Desktop) and datebook.bak. Using 6.2 the file names are .mdb and mdb.bak. For 6.2, the files are located in the username folder in PalmOSdesktop in my documents.
The files are named .dat and .bak. When you sync, the current data is stored in .dat. The next time you sync the data in the .dat file is copied to the .bak file. You can rename the .dat to .old. then rename the .bak to .dat. If the data in the .bak file is intact, it will now be in palm desktop when you reopen Palm desktop. I have included a link to show you how to find the userfolder on the PC.

The best way to backup your data is to use the export feature in Palm Desktop. Make a new folder on the PC desktop named Palm Desktop Backup data. Next, select the category you want to export. You will get a window that asks where you want to save the file, save in the folder created on the desktop. There is a button that allows you to select currently selected record or all, select all. If you don't select all, then only the record highlighted is exported. You will then need to name the file for export, I suggest the name of the category, eg: datebook (With current date). Do this for all critical data in each category. With the data exported to the folder on the PC desktop, you can save this data to a flash drive, external hard drive or a CD-RW. With this method you will have your data in a seperate place than Palm desktop and the device. If you "Lose" data again, you can import the data back into palm desktop.
Make sure that when you make changes in palm desktop or the device to export the data to the folder created for the backup.

  • HT1766 I lost all of my calendar info.

I lost all of my calendar info like appointments for myself and four kids. I want to go to a previous backup to try to recover these appts. All I see is how to backup from the last one. Can I go back 2 or 3 backups?
I lost it somewhere in the process of flying to and from Savannah. I have tried to reset my iPhone and also restore it but as I said I can only restore from last backup which does not have my appointments.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • How do I get my calendar info pushed to my iphone?

I would like my calendar info or evenets pushed to my phone without using a sync cable. I had the option on the phone checked for icloud but the items never push over so I just turned the icloud calendar switch off and just sync it manually.
Also any ideas why I get duplicate events on my ipad when I sync it?
    Thanks

You could, but there are a few things you should check out first. Does your computer meet the tech specs? How much RAM do you have - Apple say you need 2gb, but it will not be an enjoyable experience trying to use your Mac with just that. 4gb or more would be much better.
Also, if you upgrade to Mountain Lion some of your older apps may no longer work - Office 2004 is just one example - and you may need to upgrade or replace some older apps.
    Have a look here: http://www.apple.com/uk/osx/specs/

  • Outlook 2007 Clients Cannot Access Free/Busy Calendar info. for Exchange 2010 Mailbox

    Hi:
I have Outlook 2007 clients that cannot access Free/Busy Calendar info. for Exchange 2010 mailboxes.  They receive error like "...you do not have appropriate permissions..."
If those same users logon to a machine running Outlook 2010 then they can view the free/busy info. of the other user's mailbox, so I believe the permissions are set correctly on the mailbox to allow the viewing.
    Any insights are greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!
    Bob Herman IT Tropolis

    Hi Herman,
As you said, it seems users have proper permissions on mailbox.
Please make sure users has Reviewer permission on Outlook 2007.
Please try to run Outlook 2007 under safe mode or re-create profile.
Also try to turn Outlook 2007 to Exchange Online mode from Cached mode.

Please help.  I have been trying to transfer my contacts and calendar info from my old phone 3GS which I had already updated to iCloud-to my new iPhone 4s.   I have one apple I'd for I tunes and now 2 apple is for me.com.  Thanks

It's done in iTunes.  Plug the phone in via the USB cable and select the iPhone on the sidebar of iTunes.  Select the Info tab on the top and you have the sync options.

  • Sync calendar info from phone to my new MacBook Pro.

I am trying to sync info from my iphone to my new Mac computer. Each time I sync it wipes all calendar dates off my phone and replaces with calendar info from computer. I have chosen merge each time it does not help. My original computer was a Dell and i used outlook orignally.

Contact their tech support department since it's their product, not Apple's.  Did you read the user manual?  You make no mention of doing so.

You'd have to think through this, but it seems like if you are using Outlook, and the items vanished from the Outlook client as well as the server, that you could re-populate Outlook using iTunes.

  • After iOS 5, calendar info older than 1 yr is gone

I updated my iPod Touch 4th gen from 4.3.5 to iOS 5 yesterday.  After the long process, I noticed that my calendar info only went back to Oct 12, 2010!  In settings, Calendar -> Sync is set to All Events.  Can I still get that info back from the backup I performed before the update or from the backup that is performed during the update?  FYI, I don't sync with Outlook.

    this has already been answered.
    please ignore my question.

  • Why won't ipad calendar info show on outlook after sync?

I have tried repeatedly to get my ipad calendar info into outlook on my laptop without success. Things from my computer transfer to the ipad but not the other direction!  I think that in the past I was able to do this but not lately.

Sometimes quitting and restarting your devices can help. Quit iTunes, restart your computer, restart the iPad and then try to sync the apps again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
One other thought, the apps have been updated to work with iOS 5 if needed - correct?
