Palm TX-got wet and dropped it. It doesn't work

Help!! I don't know what happened to my last post, but got no reply. I accidentally spilled water into my purse on Friday, 12/18, which got my Palm TX wet; then in my panic, I dropped it and a small black (about1" square) piece flew out of it. I let the whole thing dry with and without the piece. It will not turn on at all. What to do. The Palm TX is about 1 year old and I rely on it heavily. Dottie S.

First is are you trying to do a cabled sync or are you syncing via a modem?
If you are doing a standard cable sync then
1. Launch hotsync
2. Make sure "Local" is highlighted dark blue
3. Under the hotsync icon make sure it says cradle / cable
4. On the computer right click the hotsync icon in the far right hand corner of your computer
5. Make sure Local is checked and nothing else
6. Attempt to Hotsync

Within music Library can anyone please explain why after I select the option to sort 'Album by Artist' a number of tracks are being treated as separate albums? How can I fix this? I have tried to manually correct by 'drag and drop' individual tracks but that doesn't work. My music library includes a number of repeat album artwork images simply because not all tracks are being listed under the one album making my library more difficult to use than it should. Any advise would be appreciated.

Drag and drop to Collection doesn't work

I have successfully created a Collection but cannot add to it by dragging files from the grid view as suggested in Help. There does not seem to be a menu command to do it either so I am a bit stuck. I am using 1.3.1 on a PC running XP. I have tried it on my laptop which uses Vista with the same result. Has anybody else had this problem? Are there any fixes?

Are you dragging from the center of an image in grid view, not the Border or Cell?

To restore app data, the apps have to be in the iTunes library of the computer on which you do the restore. The iPod ackup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music.

Welcome to the Apple community khnkOliver.
I assume these photos, or at least not all of them weren't in photo stream.
You should be able to recover your photos from a back up.

Put your iPod in a Zip-Lock bag with Silica Gel Packets. Let it sit overnight (or two) and the Silica Gel will pull the moisture from the iPod, it's internal parts, and dry it out. Simply air drying does not remove moisture from the components. You'll find Silica Gel in with all new electronics, Tvs, Phones, etc. for a reason.
Just google Silica Gel Packets and you will find a number of vendors selling!

If the iPod is defective and not abused Apple will exchange it at no cost under your warranty.

Yes it does, although I wa a minute faster than you. To see if someone is parroting you, or that they just posted at the same time, look at the head of the post and it will show you the data and time of the post and who they were responding to. Looking at that first saves some misinformation in future posting.
You'll see some posts where there will be 5 posts all in the same minute sometimes. Answer posts late at night and you won't see as many.

First dry the iPod.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My phone got wet and the screen turned black after a while, it is still on because I receive phone calls and can answer them by swiping the screen where I know to swipe. The phone rings and I can even have a conversation on it. The screen is black however, I cant see anything else or do anything else. I'm going to take the phone to apple tomorrow to see if its repairable. Any suggestions??? Its a 4s, have it for about 4-5 months...

Try resetting the phone:
Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.

My macpro buckled and broke up a year ago. A month ago got wet and I dried it near a heater. It froze and the mouse can not click the connection through. After three weeks I plugged in readjusted the date and it worked for about 20 minutes.. any idea?

My laptop macbook pro fell with me out of a truck and buckled last June 2012. It still worked although bent and open. A month ago it got wet and stop working and I dried it near a heater and it worked. The battery is dead. Then it froze on the screen the mouse can not grab the attention of the screen when it clicks. The track pad no longer responds and has buckled more. Then after three weeks of not touching it I plugged it in reset the date and connected and it worked. I began to back up my material and then it froze again.

Though the MBP may be disfigured, there is a real possibility that the HDD is still functional. Take it out of the MBP and place it in an enclosure and connect it to another Mac. You may be able to recover all of your data.
